'Sup Weiss.

Bee recommended I shoot you a PM (well, get in contact with) regarding some planning I've been doing with regards to the True Throne; Imperial Knights, ex-Imperials, you know the drill. True to form, it's very much inspired by the Empire-in-Exile from the Legacy comics. With the war against the Imperium ramping up, as well as the insurrection of the Corterie, mow seems as good a time as any to put into action them actually staking a claim in the Imperial Civil War - a third party to the mix, just to cause the Empress another headache. The contrast between them and the Corterie of course is that they want the Sith gone. Period. Vica may be working alongside of the Rebellion and can - arguably - hardly be referred to as 'Sith' any more (Saul's scepticism aside) but that doesn't speak for the rest of them. The Imperial Knights presumably aren't alone in being the biggest fans of the Sith - killing the Empress is hardly a long-term solution - and coupled with their already exiled forces, are actively seeking to persuade potential dissidents who yet remain 'loyal' to the Imperium, acting upon the information the defecting Ubi has provided them with.

In 'brief', the idea is for the True Throne to make a move on the Imperium's northern most territories, those that were once the heart of the old Empire - Bastion and such - not unlike those claimed by the Empire-in-Exile during the Second Imperial Civil War, albeit not quite as large a chunk to start with. The theory is that with the Coalition posing a very real military risk to them, as well as the Corterie's existing insurrection, they'll be able to hold and further expand, basically opening yet another thorn in the Empress' side, twisting and turning the knife alongside their allies. It's a big risk, but it's now or never for the True Throne.

The hope is that, primarily through their internal allies, the True Throne can gather enough forces - as well of those IAF still under Vica's influence - on and around Bastion through positions of authority - military exercises, transfers, defence, etc - that when they overtly begin to oppose the Imperium, they'll have taken Bastion from the inside more or less overnight, removing the meagre Sith presence (they are pretty far from the fight after all) and rapidly taking ground before the Imperium realises that they have another front opening in their backdoor. My thoughts were that this initial 'Battle of Bastion' would be a kind of... introduction to this third thorn; one or two Battle Of threads between Sith and Imperial Knights, between True Throne Rebels and IAF (not that those folks still exist), but ultimately Bastion's fate would have been sealed even before the first blaster shot.

Anyhow, I won't spam you with too much text just yet. I was looking to get your opinion on the matter.
Cheers.

I haven't given Calixis a decision yet. This could be interesting. Silverface in the past was going to do something like this himself. I had commented to him that he should inquire with Silverface to see if he'd still be interested in such a plot. While I don't intend to have Silverface that important, he would have the means to assemble anti-IAF to the True Throne to be able to hold Bastion and nearby planets along with pushing out Sith control (which Sith haven't really been as heavily connected to the Sith as of lately, rather they've been more heavily coalesced at Anaxes in regards to Sith military command). I could even bring Lucian Fel in to give a rallying point, though have him killed off in one of the first threads, thus making him a martyr and not the focal point of the entire group, nor the leader.

If we go with this, I was thinking they could take Bastion, Bescane, Dubrillion, and Jaemus; maybe Muunilinst too, but considering it's a molten wasteland, all it could serve is as a staging point for either side. Map can be found here for reference. They could even early on try to woo Kalee into joining them, giving them something to do. If we do this, it would be non-PvP. To jumpstart it, the takeover of Bastion would be a thread showing the True Throne taking control, as at this point in the game doing a PvP to establish them would only waste time and kill any potential it could have. Their location also gives them good striking distance at Yaga Minor Shipyards and Ord Mantell (which would bring them closer to Bilbringi and Coruscant).

Thoughts? @Clayton @Fat Possum
