Trooper Armor

"Trooper Armor" is the catch all term for the myriad variations of the same core pattern worn by the shock troops of the Republic, the Empire, and the First (and Final) Order(s) throughout the preceeding century. While every incarnation of the uniform, from Phase 1 Clone armor to the imposing crimson Sith Troopers, made minor improvements in design and ergonomics, the bulk of the armor, its materials, and ultimately its protective capabilities remained more or less the same. All suits came standard with an environment suit and breathing filters, allowing troops to be deployed to nearly any environment on a moments notice, and were readily equipped or upgraded with additional gear. The largest difference between variations is often their availability. Clone Trooper armor is most often found in the hands of museums or refurbished for reenactments by hobbyists, while original copies of the Sith Trooper armor worn by Palpatine reborn's Final Order are exceedingly rare, with few examples having survived the battle of Exegol intact- these most often find their way into the hands of private collectors willing to shell out enormous amounts of credits for them. On the other hand, Stormtrooper armor of the patterns worn by both the Imperial army and the troops of the First Order, were produced en masse on dozens of worlds for many years even after the fall of the Empire. Suits of this type are relatively easy to find copies of, and many systems equip their elite units with some variation of this uniform. Even after more than a century since its initial inception, there is something unnerving about facing off with faceless, anonymous armored centurions like Storm Troopers.

LEGALITY

Wear of Sith Trooper or Stormtrooper armor is typically frowned upon, especially on worlds that still remember Imperial oppression, but in many places armor patterns like this are not strictly illegal. Wearing it in the commission of a crime could be, and armor is often prohibited in many public spaces like government buildings. Wearing Clone Trooper armor will often get you a lot of excited questions from some guy who's been working on his Phase 2 Wolfpack regiment replica set for the last two standard years.
