Something most people wouldn't notice is the fact that, Triton was once a Jedi, showing no signs of being religious or spiritual like some Jedi, especially his ex master was like. Triton does make sure he doesn't break the rules, but he will bend it from time to time, because he can hold grudges but thanks to his ex master, he has learned to temp his anger, and other negative emotions. Though the Ranger hates the force and everything about it, he is willing to work with those that don't use the force very much and don't use the phrases, "the force wills it" or "the force told me so". As a Sector Ranger he is a investigator and does his best not to use the force at all when investigating someone, and makes sure to have at least a professional relationship. Since his past relationships with people haven't gone well.
His sister is the most important thing to him, having no one else to call friend or even family (they all dead) so to say he is over protected is a bit of a underestimate. Going so far as to kill and use the dark side of the force if need be to save his sister, yet though all this, he doesn't talk much, especially not his past. If questioned he would become silent and uncaring. He is a warrior, built to survive after many years of fighting, knows what to do to keep his sister save, and that is his ultimate goal.
Triton was born from a drunk father and a drug addict mother, on the frozen planet just outside the republic territory. The only thing keeping him from falling into the curse of such a family was a single friend. A Zarbak that made sure he didn't become like his parents, which to this day has led the warrior to basically worship the man, up until he went missing. The two were inseparable even when the Sith invaded, killing Tritons father, making him the sole man responsible for his mother and young sister, the two stayed together fighting with the rest of the soldiers even though he wasn't really old enough. The planet's defenses were failing and they needed every soldier to fight, an as the battles raged the two forged many friendships with others.
Yet sadly this was reality, and many of those friends died, an during one battle, Triton lost his friend to a Sith who has sense the force in his friend and himself. The old Sith Lord was only stopped by a Jedi knight named Jaleer who saved the young man from his friends fate of being a Siths toy. The Jedi sensing the force in Triton took him under his wing promising to rescue the friend and help in Tritons sickly mother. Several years an training with the Jedi, Triton was determined by one goal to gain the strength to protect his family, friends and to rescue his own friend from the Sith. An one day a opportunity presented itself, rushing without telling his master he and the other soldiers from his home, attack the Sith ship, finding his friend had become a Sith. A battle ensued causing Triton to leave his once best friend for dead in the ship, unfortunately the rest of his friends also died leaving him the only survive other than his beast friend who survived.
Returning to his master he found that his mother had died an blamed his old master, and his god, forsaking the force and taking his young sister and left the order for good. At first he just drank his problems away, but after watching a holovideo of a Sector Ranger, he decided to do something with his live. Hoping to make a living for his sister and to redeem himself, he hopes to serve the sector rangers in protecting and serving the law. Thinking that it is a noble and only thing left he can do considering his past, passing the physical area of the examines with nearly a perfect score and doing alright with the written examines he was allowed to join. Now he will be doing what he does best fighting and serving but this time to something that cant turn its back on him, the law.
A man who was once a Jedi knows a few tricks with the force but no longer uses them seeing as he now considers the force a handicap and only a tool for evil. Though his sensory abilities were something that came naturally so it is hard for him to ignore the force when giving him some warning. But he is still capable of doing strong wave like attacks with the force whether its sending people away or closer if he is forced to use it than he is still able to. Though the only trick that the sector ranger would actively use would be force heal seeing it as the only up side to his time as a Jedi. Believing it to be a useful tool though he wouldn't show anyone that he actually knows how to use it. But he is a natural with mental powers but he doesn't use them anymore since he stop using the force.
The warrior can fight for long period of time, he has good aim and can keep calm in most fights, he is very rusty with the force and the lightsaber, he is also very good with technical issues being a jack of all trades in that regard. Yet he is also a good detective reading people and crime scenes. He actively tries to ignore the force but it is nearly impossible so it causes the ranger headaches at times. So the ranger does his best to not get into a fight seeing it as making him like the Sith and he knows he need to show a good example for the rangers. He is also bounded by Ranger rules not to act in certain ways which makes him really not good for a bar fight, since he could lose his job for doing that sort of thing.
