So, things are drawing to a close. In December, the timeline will be reset, and while I am very excited for the new setting and direction this RP will take, the time will soon come that I must phase out the current iteration of my pint-sized pirate, Triter Zonne.
I'm fond of this one, though, and I'd like his last adventure to be something really special.
At the same time, I have the Ossein culture and their ancient ruler, Yesugen, who have not been featured as heavily as I intended.
And so, I present Triter's greatest adventure...
- Triter Zonne -
and the
Fate of Yesugen
Yesugen. Khonoyon of all the Ossein, the only member of her people ever to hold the title unopposed. Nearly a deity to the Ossein, she united her people against a terrible foe, and set them on the path to fleeing the Galaxy itself in the distant past. No other leader among the Ossein has ever come close to her status, or to her achievements.
Yesugen died in battle, although her fate is ambiguous. Though sources agree she was mortally wounded in combat with the enemy, she set her damaged ship on an apparently random hyperspace vector, placing her remains beyond the reach of the enemy and denying them a trophy of their victory.
Yesugen's fate is hotly debated. Was she betrayed by the Republic, leading to her death? How badly damaged was her ship going into hyperspace?
And perhaps most important of all, were the coordinates she set truly random? And what became of the hundreds of Ossein vessels which supposedly followed her?
What, indeed, was the true fate of Yesugen Khonoyon?
Triter Zonne is among the last of the Ossein. A convert to the Jazaq Yassa - the Ossein way of the pilot - he proudly wears the Starry Death's Head, the emblem of Yesugen and now of all the Ossein; a mercenary and a pirate, his life is a hard one, but it is his.
But he has always felt he could do something more. That he was meant for greater things.
And he discovers just what those greater things may be on a set of dusty datapunch cards, the first clue that could lead to the end of a story which has fascinated him for many years.
They are his first clues toward discovering the true fate of Yesugen...
Basically, this would be an extended treasure hunt, taking place over several threads and culminating in a surprise ending in which Triter - and anyone that will join him - finds the end of one story, and the beginning of another...
