Silently exiting the public shuttle, Aiden Nosmirc made his way towards the temple. He was tired of trying to convince the Jedi on Coruscant that he was capable of becoming a powerful Jedi knight. He had been trying for the past 2 years and time and time again he failed. He found the task tiresome and quite frustrating although he persisted and his determination had brought him this far. There was a rumored Jedi Knight, Jacen Kando, willing to train any capable students here at the Great Temple of Ossus. Aiden had come here in search of him and was unwilling to leave until he had found him.

((I'm actually a Knight....for now.))

Jacen Kando, Jedi Knight, was sitting on the steps of the Temple of Ossus looking out over the horizon. His silver eyes scanned the view as a gently breeze ruffled his medium length silver hair. His was still a young man, though some assumed otherwise because of the silver hair. He straitend his ice blue tunic and crossed his legs to meditate. He closed his eyes and reached into the slippery strands of the Force.

He jumped into the cosmic river that the Force entailed. Following the glowing stream around the galaxy. He sensed a being approaching the temple, but for now he would remain still. It looked as if he was dead.

Aiden Nosmirc was a Miraluka and a talented one at that. Although he had never received any formal training, he enjoyed pushing his capabilities further by himself. His Force Sight surpassed most others and he noticed the man sitting on the steps of the monolithic temple before him. Pushing back the hood on his cloak he revealed his long blue hair and his ragged bandana that covered his eyeless visage. Still remaining silent he quietly walked up the steps and sat down next to the meditating man.

Jacen calmly remained perfectly still, sitting on the steps in the cross legged position. One hour passes, then two.

Without opening his eyes he said, "My master told me that to find the true nature of the Force serene meditation is nessasary. He was correct."

Now he opened his eyes and turned to face Aiden. He stood up and stretched, his spine popping as he did so.
"Ah, that felt good. So, you are here to become a Jedi?"

After a few more seconds Aiden replied, “I have wanted to become a Jedi since I was 18 years old.” He turned towards the

Jedi Knight, “You have a very large aura of the Force around you. What is your name?" Smirking, "I am looking for a Jedi Knight named Jacen Kando. I have heard he is looking for a new apprentice.”

Jacen eyed him critically,
"I know the person you are talking about. Come, follow me and I will take you to him."

He turned and walked into the temple without breaking stride or looking back to see if Aiden was even coming or not. He walked through the halls leading the Miraluka in a weaving pattern past works of art that were very unique. He led him past these works multiple times infact. For almost an hour they simply walked in a circle around the interior of the temple....

After travelling around the temple several time Aiden started to grow a little impatient“I am really enjoying the artwork but I have a

question. Since when do Jedi Knights lie?”
Aiden asked once again smirking, “How much do you know about my race? You do realize I perceive everything through the force?” Aiden smiled kindly

still following behind Kando. What Kando hadn’t become conscious of was that Aiden had also been touching the same statue each time they went around and knew exactly how many times they had travelled the same path.

“I really like this piece, “said Aiden as they began to approach it again. “What is it called?”

Jacen stopped and turned towards him, "You are a Miraluka, your species is blind in what normal people would call sight and instead use the Force to see that which is far beyond most."
He walked over the art piece and ran a hand along the silky smooth curve in the stone. It looked as if someone had taken a bucket of water and, pouring it out, solidified it into rock.

"This piece is called The Flow, it is particularly useful when meditating as it reminds one of the fact that the Force flows around us and through us, we divert it from the flow to use it the same way a small child diverts a trickle of water by putting a small stick in front of it. However, he cannot do the same with the large river that that stream of water came from can he? He is to small and the river to fast to divert with a stick. That is what the Force is for us. A constant stream which we divert in small amounts to our purposes. But we must also flow with the Force." He glance at Aiden, "Do you understand now?" He said with a glint in his eye and a small smile on his face.

Aiden was surprised by the Jedi’s knowledge of his species but not for long. Aidan took his hand and ran it once again over the sculpture as he spoke,

“Yes, I believe I do.” Always being one of few words Aiden hoped to have not offended Kando. “Master Kando, will you please teach me so that I may become a better being and by doing so better the universe?”

It looks as if Aiden is staring at the Jedi Knight although he has no eyes. The ragged bandana flutters in the wind caused by Aiden turning so quickly. Just by this action it is obvious how willing and determined Aiden truly is.

Jacen's grin widened,
"So you did figure out it was me you were talking to, some people never do and go storming off in a rage demanding to see Jacen Kando, not believing that the man who led them in circles might be him. That is good. I will train you but you must know something. The way of the Jedi is difficult, it requires great sacrafice. It is long and arduos and you will face many trails along the path. You are not alone however, you have the entirety of the Jedi order behind you and you have me to help you along your path. I am not a teacher or instructor so much as a guide. I am here only to help you help yourself to become that which you wish to be. I cannot give you that which you seek, you must find it for yourself."

He put a hand on the Miraluka's shoulder, "Come I will show you too your new quarters and we will start training first thing in the morning."

Jacen led Aiden to a door that was next to a large statue of a Jedi holding his lightsaber aloft. He opened the door and motioned for Aiden to enter. Inside was a reasonably sized room. With a refresher in the corner, a desk, a bed, and an over head light.
"You may make modifications to your room provided they can be easily removed once you move on." He smiled again, "So don't destroy it."

As he analyzed the room and the contents Aiden felt a final surge of relief, this was it, his dream finally coming true at last. Aiden turned to Master Kando and smiled a real smile true and brilliant.

“Thank you so much, you won’t regret this at all Master!”
He bowed down and got on his knees, a very rare occasion for Aiden, The Wandering Sage.

When he got back up Kando had left the room, Aiden had already known this and instead of showing any emotion turned towards the room that was now his and began to prepare for the following morning.

Jacen returned to his room and booted up his holo computer. He accesed temple files on Miralukas and started reading, very interesting stuff it was. After about half and hour he powered off the computer and fell on to his sleep mat, not even a bed really. Jacen's room was much more spartan then any other's in the temple. It was a sleeping mat on the stone floor and a desk with a holocomputer plus the refresher in the corner. The walls were bare and there were no decorations or pictures anywere except for a miniature version of the sculpture "The Flow" on the desk.

He fell asleep and had a deep and dreamless sleep.

He awoke at 5:00 A.M. standar time and quickly got dressed. He walked down the empty halls to the door of his new padawann's room and knocked on the door.

Aiden had already changed everything in his room; there was no bed any longer. All of the rest of the items had been organized in a very flowing manner.

Kando saw all of this as he entered the room but Aiden was nowhere to be seen. You see, Aiden preferred to sleep outside especially since the beauty of the Jedi Temple had captured his thoughts.

He was waiting on the steps of the Temple for Master Kando to awaken and find him.

He had already analyzed much of the temple with his Force Sight and was still taking a look around as he let his mind wander around the temple.

Jacen glance around the room and looked at the way Aiden had redecorated it. Very nice.

He closed his eyes and let the flow of the Force guide him to where he felt his padawann standing on the temple steps. He walked out to there and strode down the steps and stopped next to the Miraluka.

"Today begins your first day of training. Before we begin I must see what amount of aptitude you have with the Force. This way." Jacen nodded back at the temple and led Aiden through the halls until he reached a small courtyard that was filled with trees and flowers. In the center of the courtyard was a monolithic obelisk. It was made of solid rock and wieged about 2 tons. Around the base of it was a rockgardern with rocks ranging from boulders, to pebbles. Jacen reached down and picked a fist sized rock off the ground and place it on a boulder.
"Lift this rock into the air."

Aiden had never tried to lift anything with the Force before although he knew the basics from his studies. He reached deep within himself and the environment around him.

He felt and saw the flow before him. Reaching out with his had he redirected the flow surrounding his Master’s hand. Slowly the rock lifted and stood a steady foot from the palm of Kando’s hand.

Holding it there he twisted his fingers and it rotated repeatedly. Aiden enjoyed this although he had only studied this and had experience with the theory of this he found that he could manipulate the force quite easily.

"Very good I can see you have great potential. But lifting rocks is easy. Now we will practice my favorite discipline, swordsmanship." Jacen picked up a stick from the ground and tossed it to Aiden and picked up a similar one himself.

"Now how much do you know of swordsmanship?"

Aiden looked at the stick in his hand and replied with a slight frown, “Well, I don’t know much about swordsmanship,” pulling out his compactable staff he pressed a button and both metal ends popped out of the wooden handle. He continued, “I’ve never used a sword before, I am more used to my staff.” He put down the formidable staff and asked, “Do you have any longer sticks, I would prefer to use that if we are going to spar.” Smiling once again Aiden lifted his eyeless face to meet Jacen’s, waiting for an answer.

Jacen scratched his chin, "Hmmmm, for now let us use these sticks. They are the length of a standard lightsaber and you must learn to use the weapon of the Jedi."

He held the stick in his right hand and swung it slowly in a diagonal downward slash from the right.
"Let's start with some easy blocks."

Aiden gently picked up the first stick Master Kando had provided him with and turned to face his mentor. Smiling once again in a serene manner, Aiden gracefully swooped his stick under Kando’s and tapped it slightly, “Who starts?”
