Training for Reed Cabilla

Reed immediately stood up straight and saluted, "Sir! I am Officer Cadet Reed Cabilla from Correllia Sir!

 

[Trakon]

"I don't need to know where you're from. Where do you think you can go from this training?
"

Reed thought for a moment and said, "I do not fully understand the question. Sir."

 

[Trakon]

"Do you plan on becoming a hot shot fighter pilot? A commanding Captain? An Admiral? How about a deck engineer? Or a flight controller? And maybe you might like to be a gunner on a ship. I would just like to know, where you see yourself."

"Sir I was thinking of becoming a pilot and dogfighter. I was hoping to lead my own fighter squad. Perhaps even commanding a small ship", replied Reed.

 

[Trakon]

"What size ship? Corvette, frigate? Personally I'd go for a destroyer but my place is with the fighters." He extends his hand to shake.

As Reed shook the man's hand and told him, "A destroyer would be nice."

 

[Trakon]

"Indeed it would." He took his hand back. "Now, I train slightly different from my predecessor. So please follow me." Hetat led Cabilla down to a obstacle course.

(Yeah, I'm going to be very busy for 1-2 weeks, so don't expect me to post alot here, sorry I will still train you though.))

Reed followed and gazed at the course. It looked difficult.

OOC: Its ok.

 

[Trakon]

"How quickly do you think you can run it, with full gear of a pilot who just crashed?" Hetat was looking at Reed's face for any sign of emotion.

Reed looked at the course.

"It does seem hard, but I could finish it in 1 and a half to 2 minutes. Sir," he replied. He tried to keep a straight face, but a hint of fear passed over his face. He quickly hid it.

 

[Trakon]

Hetat smiled. "Really? Okay, The limit is set to 3 minutes so you should have enough time to finish. Now if you please." He motioned to the course.

Reed donned the gear and went to the beginning of the course. He watched as his Commander motioned him to start. He ran, jumped over a "fallen tree" turned a corner and ducked under a bar. He performed a combat roll and army-crawled under a low roof. He got up and sprinted to the finish. The Commander was waiting.

"How did I do?" asked the Officer Cadet hardly showing a sweat, but breathing quite hard.

((OOC: I'm going to be in New Mexico for ten days starting Thurday. And do you play 40k?))

 

[Trakon]

((OOC: You're joking? I love 40k. I started up a 40k RP site, never really got it going then it was attacked viciously by spammers. Also, Ruukil is and several others are on the site.))

"Not bad. Another milisecond and you would have made it under one minute." Hetat smiled. "I congratulate you, you still have some more training. to do under me. Now if you will follow me."

Hetat lead the way to a hangar. Along the way he stopped and talked to several support crews. He knew the crews and were friends with them.

"Did you see that?" Hetat said, as they continued their walk to the hangar.

Reed saw the Officer converse many people, "It is important to be friendly? Or do you just have many friends?" Cabilla was not confused, but merely wondered why the Officer would ask such a vague question.

((OOC: Is the site still up? And I play Imperial Guard. Would you be interested in an RP here?))

 

[Trakon]

"Yes it is important to be friendly, but that's not it. It is important to know the people who service your space craft, so when a battle happens they won't screw it up to kill you. Revenge can be horrible." Hetat continued with this. "More than one stuck up, arrogant fighter pilot has been killed because of 'malfunctioning equipment' that was unseen by the service crews."

((OOC: Nope, I deleted it once there was no way to get the spammers off it. I have been hoping to get a new one going soon but it's all a matter of getting people onto it and not to screw it up. If you have about 8 friends who would be interested in doing a online 40K RP on a different site, I'd be up to it. Ofcourse they'd have to make several character to cover all the bases. And I play Space Marines: Space Wolves and Ordo Malleus.))

"Well that is an interesting point and I do agree. I would not want to die because of my ego," replied Reed. He continued to follow the Commander to their destination. Wherever that was.

 

[Trakon]

Hetat approached a checkpoint bringing out his Republic Military ID and clearance tag.

"Hey Bruso, the kid is with me. We're going to borrow one of the freighters and go for a spin." The man let Hetat and Reed continue on. The arrived in a hangar and Hetat approached a freighter of moderate age. "This is the baby you're going to fly today. Don't worry I already have it cleared with my commander."

Reed looked at the ship. It was in rather good shape and perfectly flyable.

"This will be fun," he said to himself.

 

[Trakon]

"Get in." Hetat came in and sat in the pilot's chair.

"When we go where we are going, you get to fly. But till then I'm flying."
