Tome of the Eyeless One

History​

Born of Madness and Hidden by Hatred and Fear.

The Tome of the Eyeless One was originally the work of a Zeffo working under the sage Kujet who used the Dark Side to subjugate and destroy his enemies and his own people. Not the work of Kujet himself but rather one of his disciples, the tome was composed by a Zeffo Force Sensitive who was driven mad by how far and how deep they pressed into the Dark Side and the mysteries of Dathomir.

Kujet punished the disciple by taking their eyes at one stage but the histories are muddled as to if this happened before or after they managed to create the tome from what knowledge they had managed to pay for with their sanity. Secondary sources from other sections of the Zeffo tomb on Dathomir paint a conflicting picture as to which story is true but all sources agree that the mad Zeffo wrote of something incredibly vague, maddeningly so some might say.

The Entity.

Something that lurked beyond known space and beyond known understanding, that was held at bay by blood sacrifices and more besides. No one is sure what exactly the Zeffo saw or how it recorded it's knowledge, only that it did and that, many centuries later, a Dark Side user of great knowledge and power took what knowledge was there and made it into a Sith Holocron, leaving it locked away on Dathomir in an unknown, unmarked, place with only a wayfinder to guide those who might seek it out in the future.

A wayfinder that has recently gone on sale at an auction of such priceless antiques.

Appearance

The Tome of the Eyeless One is not a tome in the traditional sense but rather data stored on a Sith Holocron. Where once it had physical pages, now it's details are stored in the more traditional way of the Force Sensitive Orders of the day. The holocron, like most Dark Side artifacts, makes use of red and black in it's construction along with sleek, cold, edges to form a pyramid shape.

Intent

Intent is to grow upon the work of the Dathomir side of the Galaxy in Crisis event and tie The Entity spoken of by The Forgotten into the canon by getting it mixed in with the Zeffo. Threads to obtain the Wayfinder and explore the crypt of the Holocron itself will be open to those who were involved in the Dathomir section of the Event - almost like a taint of The Forgotten and The Entity is what draws attention to the Wayfinder in the first place, as though something wants it to be found.
