Working with Kotii Solus in pretty much any capacity was something that Arthos would have thought was far beyond him for his current standing amongst Clan Vizsla, let alone the rest of the Clans. But the Badger had sent out a request for someone to accompany him on a raid of a base of a historic enemy and piloting skills had been mentioned as being a desired trait to help haul out any loot they ended up finding.

Arthos had put himself forward and no one in the Clan had cared enough to try and stop him so he went to meet up with Kotii to pull off the job.

The job in question was a raid of an old Zann Consortium base of operations, specifically one large enough and powerful enough that it had some limited production facilities for the old vehicles and droids used by the criminal enterprise. Locals of the planet it resided on knew about the location of the base but had largely avoided it due to several stories about deaths.

Dead treasure hunters weren't something to deter a Mandalorian, much less two. Kotii was a proven leaders and warrior, whereas Arthos knew enough well enough to know that he was neither of those things but he was determined to become both. Ambition and a drive to succeed would take him far and he would make sure of it no matter what he needed to kill to get it.

Landing his ship outside the Zann Consortium compound, he checked his weapons and started a last-minute re-cleaning of his blaster pistol while he waited for Kotii to arrive.

The Zann Consortium were known for using black market technology. Often what Mandalorians used in their line of work crossed the line with what was legal. If a customs officer actually ever looked inside his ship their jaw would probably drop. Once or twice they had tried a shake down with the badger but he had taught them a lesson when it came to dealing with Mandalorians.

Today the locals of the planet Hypori were more welcoming and the authorities respected elimination of a rogue droid presence. Potential droidekas were waiting for them along with sabotage droids. Power levels below the facility indicated there was still activity but no organic life signs returns on the Werda Kom'rks advanced sensors. A good old fashioned raid, taking the fight to the walking tin-cans was something that sounded dramatic but appropriate.

Kotii was not alone and was joined not only by Arthos Vizsla, but also Aden and Atin Solus. The four warriors had not seen any perimeter defenses on approach and nothing came to meet them as their ships still cooled behind them. But It was best for them to stay on guard.

"I bet they've got a shield generator to protect it from an orbital bombardment." It was a theory he did not really want to test out. Among other things it could actually prove beneficial to them. "Best case is it just needs a little renovation." The Alor spoke optimistically. When it came to defenses, the Zann Consortium used to be more formidable than they had lately been. But in present day, the remnants were still dangerous enough to be taken seriously. He had faced them in the Anoat sector vehemently with the aid of other Mandalorians in a cooperative effort.

"You've got good taste in blasters." Kotii said, refering to Arthos's sidearm. The Blackwell design helped him establish himself as a bounty hunter early on. But today the badger was here as Alor of House Vizsla and to deliver on his conquest of the Zann Consortium after their abuse of his people, even if it was putting use their old facilities or turning it to scrap. The black handled BM-357 python sat on his left hip while his right held a micro-missile pistol. Aside from maybe having a grenade launcher, this was the best armament he thought would fit considering the potential machines they going up against. If it wasn't droid, it was something else but were sure to find out.

He was on a raid with members of Clan Solus – he had to remember to act like he belonged here. If he acted like he belonged, he might actually make it so that he did belong there. Faking it until he made it was a viable option, even if it was just to give himself more opportunities to learn how to do things right.

Arthos tried not to jump when Kotii complimented his taste in blasters and mostly succeeded, though the tool he was using to actually clean the blaster did slip a little bit as he tried to quickly gather his wits to actually respond in an appropriate manner.

“Um… wouldn’t the shield generator require a lot more power than the scans show being used?”

… fantastic the first words he’d really spoken to the Alor of Clan Solus and he had started it with ‘um’ and ended it by questioning him. Arthos flushed bright red under the protection of his helmet before rushing ahead.

“Of course your scanners are probably better than mine.”
He almost tripped over himself to add before looking down at his sidearm, “I saved up for them.”

They were something he had managed to buy entirely off his own back and that was a large part of why he cared for them so well. The other was habit, of course, from being trained in the ways of the Mandalorian warriors. Which meant he was also about to do something he had learned growing up around Clan Vizsla – avoiding lingering on his mistakes!

“So what do we think we’ve got waiting for us in there?”
he asked quickly, holstering his sidearm as he spoke and moved up closer to the Solus Mandalorians, “Droids, maybe, but if my history lessons are right, didn’t Zaan have a lot of nasty turrets?”

Like the type that were war crimes bad enough that the Empire didn’t often use them if his memory served him right.

There was a level of reverance Arthos gave him in his tone. Maybe realizing in hindsight the title Kotii held. But it meant more for a genuine reputation all his own to have that affect. "If it's powered off the scanners might not have picked it up." He said with a casual shrug.

It was clear the Vizsla was starting out. He lacked much in the way of personal protection and quality equipment. And then there was the way he held himself. It told the more seasoned Mandalorians he was a recent foundling. He reminded Kotii a lot of himself in his early days. It also made him feel old simultaneously.

"Yup" Kotii and Atin spoke simultaneously in answer to Arthos's question. Their T visors met for a moment. Atin continued with a bit of advice for Arthos. <"lots of destroyers and turrets. Hope you brought your big guns little jaig. Bubble shields can be a kick in the pants."> Scared portions of their plates could attest to that. <"Let's step carefully then."> Kotii came between the old badger teaching the young shriekhawk since they had a job to do. The stoic hunters were here for a reason and it wasn't to squabble.

If there was nothing further to add, the Alor would lead the squad into the facility. First they needed to find a terminal where he could get access to other systems like surveillance, records and other levels of security.

Oh fantastic he had been correct – there were lots of things waiting in the ruins that would be oh so very happy to try and ruin his day. Well, luckily for him Arthos was prepared for a lot of his days to go poorly so he had low expectations at the best of times. He was more than ready for things to go worse so, when they did, he was mostly fine with it.

Checking over his pistol one last time, he knew that he had his rifle shouldered so when they asked if he had a bigger gun he just kind of shrugged and nodded. He technically had a bigger gun but he was certain that his pistol would punch harder.

And if not he would go in for a stab so he could prove his bravery and not suffer for not bringing a bigger gun.

“Vibroweapons go through shields fairly well, right?”
he asked, trying to make sure if he had something to use if the blasters didn’t work, “In a pinch, if the blasters aren’t cutting it. Just want to make sure I have a back up option.”

Moving into the facility with the other Mandalorians, Arthos couldn’t help but feel like something of an impostor. They were all fully armoured, fully blooded, and here he was acting like he’d been found less than a year ago. It was his own fault though, the clan had reminded him, that he wasn’t good enough to earn more from the clan armory.

With his blaster pistol raised, Arthos turned a corner, looking for some machinery that seemed to be working enough to be accessed, only to freeze ever so slightly when he turned the corner… before immediately throwing himself bodily back around the corner as a mine he had tripped exploded around the corner. He had managed to avoid getting himself or any of his allies blown up but it said nothing good that he had managed to trip a mine while trying to find a working terminal.

“… it was a newer mine.”
He muttered as he pulled himself awkwardly to his feet and dusted himself off, “I don’t think we’re the first ones here. Think they just chose not to leave.”

"Indeed." Kotii replied, appreciating the simplicity and trustiness of a sharp blade. But when it came to scores of droids, the man was happy to have some heavy fire power. The squad of warriors moved into the facility, weapons at the ready.

Atin was beside Arthos in the hall as he rounded a corner. The sudden movement had the badger dive to the other side and narrowly miss the plasma explosion. Kotii sniffed the air and could practicly taste the crackling ozone in the wake of the blast. "Or maybe couldn't." Added Aden to Arthos's sentiment.

Kotii peaked around the corner but did not see any activity. There weren't any droids except for the all but destroyed parts and pieces from past battles. Regardless of where the trap came from, they needed to avoid them. At least they had not been hurt by the booby trap and could progress further. However the distant sound of metal feet approaching echoed from the depths of the facility. Someone was home.

-----

Deep within the facility...

Hidden beneath inside a large missile silo like cave sat a hardcell transport. Aboard, the photoreceptors of a droid gave the equivalent of a staring blink at the surveillance devices that were mostly inoperable at this time. The T2 tactical droid stood beside two towering warmachines. Their organic masters had long since abandoned the facility. The superbattle droid bodyguards kept their wrists up and pointed towards the ceiling and awaited orders. Others had come to loot the place and had been given entry, however they had not been allowed to leave. The tactical droid kept the handful of working spitfire droids on parameters to only shoot down fleeing ships. Instead they were to remain hidden and at minimal power consumption until ordered otherwise. Thus, the Mandalorians had landed without interruption.

+I do not have any records of fighting Mandalorians in my own experiences. But there is other data that I am able to extrapolate from+ The tactical droid said to itself and the only other two 'active' machines present. Skeletons and decrepit B1 battle droids lay in pieces and various positions around the surveillance room.

The T2 pressed some commands on the partially lit up terminal in front of it. +Activate the destroyers to keep them from leaving the way they came. Drive them deeper into the factory and activate the dark troopers+ This facility was not the largest of factories on the industrial world of Hypori. But it was one of the ones in actually better condition. It was at this factory that the Zann Consortium smuggled and tried to reverse engineer much of the other galaxy's battle droids.

The machines kept to their programming to defend their territory. +Even Mandalorians will be hard pressed to deal with what we have here+ The tactical droid's vocabulator hinted at a sense of superiority. A small army awaited the group of warriors that were each in their own right, considered one-man armies.

Arthos was happy to report that the majority of the damage from the mine had been to his pride - that it had also been a critical hit to said pride was just expected by the rather pessimistic Mandalorian. If things could go wrong to embarrass him, he was usually 'blessed' with it being bad enough for him to wish he could dig himself a big hole to hole up inside.

But he refused.

No matter how much his cheeks reddened underneath his helmet, he refused to just let himself himself wallow in his failure. He got himself right back up and dusted himself off, taking a series of deep breaths as he tried to calm himself down. Being almost blown up with nothing to sniff at after all.

"Anyone else hear that?"

Further within the complex the sound of metal legs had been replaced by a sound that he wasn't quite sure about. It sounded like a treadmill but only if both the tread and the person were made of metal... like... oh shrak.

"Destroyers inbound!"

Raising his pistol as he spotted the sleek form of nine of the damned things heading toward them, he fired twice as he sought to move to cover. One of his shots connected in a glancing blow but, otherwise he was able to do nothing as they arrived within firing position and began to deploy their shields.

Which meant it was only going to get better.

"Yeah..." Aden replied unhappily. Kotii attributed the sound of approaching destroyers to that of a tube filled with metal ball bearings being rolled repeatedly. Their circular form while in its wheel configuration was faster than one might expect. Coming from the direction the Mandalorians came approached the circular shape of nine metallic guards. There was more of them than Kotii had ever faced at once. They now stood between the Mandalorians and their ship and the Alor cursed at who ever was directing these machines.

The lead droideka avoided taking direct damage as an explosive shell struck the ground behind it. The forward motion of the following destroyer was showered with shrapnel but not enough to take it out. A second missile impacted right beside it, this one doing more direct damage as it tore through the unshielded side of the rolling droideka. The blasted machine was sent sideways into the wall, still spinning and colliding with another droideka to hamper its 'unfolding' process and miss its begining mark for laying down a barrage on the Mandalorians.

Another two pulls of the micro-missile pistol would take out another droideka before it deployed its shields. There were still too many of them to fight them directly. Pulling out a device from his belt, the Mandalorian retreated further into cover. There did not seem to be any other booby traps laying in wait. <"We've got more than that. We need to move deeper to find their commander. Looking for a source."> The signal tracer would begin trying to find out the location of the facility's communications. He wouldn't be able to slice into them if they were encrypted and there wasn't enough hardware for him to jam any signal between the droids. That meant they could try to find out the source of the commands and activity. It would tell the guards they were there, but that badger was already out of the bag.

Getting shot at was something that any Mandalorian needed to be comfortable with because it was going to happen, it was going to happen often and people were probably going to shoot twice as much just because beskar. Considering he didn’t have anywhere near as much beskar as some of his allies, Arthos needed to be quicker to avoid being blasted half as much.

But he also needed to get in close to deal some damage since the destroyer droids were, by definition, rather resistant to being destroyed by blasters and other traditional means… leaving the EVEN MORE traditional means of being stabbed on the table.

Drawing one of his vibroknives, Arthos nodded to his allies.

“Move up deeper – I’ll draw fire.”

Throwing himself out of his cover into a roll, Arthos avoid being blasted even as he immediately garnered all of the attention from the destroyer droids to give his fellow Mandalorians more time to fall back deeper to try and figure out the source of their woes. He vibroknife was blasted clean out of his hands before he could get to be much more than a distraction however.

Cursing in Mandoa, Arthos started rushing back, falling back into cover closer to his fellow Mandalorians. Grunting, he pulled a fragment of his broken blade out of his hand before tossing it aside.

“… I am not equipped well enough for this.”
He mutter-commented, “Explosives on hand? I’ve only got anti-organic grenades.”

As Arthos attempted a risky manuever, the other Mandalorians did their best to cover him. When he came back, Atin laughed and leaned out of cover as he fired off several bolts from his carbine. "Told ya you should have brought a bigger blaster." It would get a response from his fellow Solus who brought to bear the light repeater he was carrying. "How's THIS" The Mandalorian pilot said through gritted teeth and dragged the automatic stream of blue ionizing shots across the destroyers. The bubbles continued to absorbe the light blaster bolts but turned a slight purplish color as they received repeated shots from the Mandalorians. Two leading droidekas were destroyed in a shower of sparks while the rest remained capable. At least the front leading droidekas made it difficult for the previous rank unable to fire or risk hitting the droidekas ahead of them.

Meanwhile near the terminal, the Alor of House solus was trying to accelerate the time it took to find the source of the signals. It was certainly a military grade system which made things complicated. But evidently the commander of the droids was not too far away. "Their leader is close. We need to go down and then make for a hidden vertical hangar shaft. Place is practically a miniature Utapau city." He said to the others. The hangar that held the Hardcell class ship and the T2 tactical droid would take only a few minutes to reach. But there were liable to be more droids waiting for them.

+Droideka defenses advance on the Mandalorian intruders+ He heard come over the encrypted link. It was a bit garbled but the man could make it out. "They're getting closer, let's move. On me." Up until then, the destroyer droids had held their ground as they shouldered the blaster bolts and strikes. But now the tripod legs began to once again bring them closer to the cover the warriors of Mandalore now took shelter behind. Knowing from first hand experience that thermal weapons and disruptors could be devastating against droidekas, the badger pulled on the grenades from his belt and chucking one at the lead droideka. The vaporising explosion would at least give them some cover as they headed deeper into the facility.

Arthos was very much in agreement that a larger blaster would have come in very handy when it came to this mission though, in his defense, he hadn't been expecting so many droidekas within the first half an hour. Still, it was enough to convince the young Mandalorian that he needed to ensure that he was never without grenades in the future - if he was able to slowly roll a grenade it would pass through the shields and destroy the droids.

If he lived through this he would learn and that was the whole point.

He leaned out from cover to add his own blaster's fire onto the weakening shields as the Solus team members rained down some sustained fire that weakened the shields rather effectively. Arthos nodded his head in understanding when Kotii pointed out that the place was like a miniature Utapau city but he couldn't help but comment.

"Hopefully less full of zombies than Utapau city."

Last he'd heard the planet of Utapau was a ghost-ball aside from the Infected after all. The droids were advancing and they needed to fall back? If the droids wanted to keep up the pressure with blaster fire, however, they would need to keep themselves deployed... in tripod mode. Readying his right arm, Arthos launched his grapple line into the wall on the opposite side of the corridor to himself before stabbing the other end of the line into place with the tip of a blade on the wall he was closest to.

Droids from hundreds of years ago probably weren't all that great at multitasking after all... as he fell back with the rest of the Mandalorians, ducking and weaving to avoid the blaster shots, he grinned behind his helmet at the sound of two of the droids going sprawling to the ground, blaster shots diverting to the ceiling and walls as they tried to right themselves. Turning around, Arthos fired at the two downed droids as they deactivated their shields to change into their ball forms to recover.

Both exploded into sparks.

"Just gotta improvise..."

Kotii silently agreed with Arthos's sentiment. If there were undead and literal killing machines in this place he would have to start adapting things quickly. Blaster cannon fire from the remaining droidekas would chase after the Mandalorians. But the destroyers would not pursue let a lone be able to catch up in their current state. No sound of rolling droids followed the squad of armored super-commandos. That confirms it. He thought to himself, making sure his weapons were reloaded and nothing had been left behind.

The droidekas were not the only defenses the group would have to deal with. The clanking of metalic feet warned of the arrival of something else and caused Kotii to hold up a hand. Aden and Atin took up defensive positions and readied their weapons. From a side tunnel and walking out into the intersection stood a lone DT droid. It looked in the opposite direction of the Mandalorians. "Let's go around." He gave a nod of his helmet towards the side tunnel to their left and took it. After a few minutes, with Kotii leading them, they would avoid directly confronting the dark troopers.

Exiting the tunnels, Kotii would be the first to see the large cylindrical like cavern. In its center stood what looked like a metalic thermos that was the Hardcell transport. "The droid commander is in there. You all ready?" A faint echo of distant cave creatures could be heard. But otherwise there was silence in the vertical hangar. Mainly Kotii had asked for Arthos's benefit. But if any of them started to lag behind they needed to match that pace.

Arthos was of the opinion that whoever had created battle droids was a weak and worthless creature he would very much like to shoot a few times. As awkward to fight as any of the fauna a Mandalorian could be expected to fight but a kill that lacked much in the way of honour because of the fact that to defeat a droid was not seen as some greater accomplishment. Not even defeating droid assassins was seen as something worthy of merit due to their construction and lack of a fighting spirit.

Instead he just focused on the task at hand and carried on after the Solus members. He swallowed nervously as they made their way deeper into the bowels of the dreaded, cursed, installation. Going around another of the soulless machines was absolutely fine in his book.

Thankfully, following the lead of Mandalorians much more stealth-minded than himself was great for his own stealth skills and helped him creep around without the DT droid being alerted. Spotting to the Hardcell transport, Arthos took a moment to check over his weapons as they came to a stop - he didn't think stealth was going to be an option for much longer after all.

He could tell that Kotii had only spoken for his benefit so he tapped the outside of his helmet once with the side of his weapon.

"Oya."

Inside the enclosed helmet, Kotii took a deep breath and steady himself. It was easy for the anticipation to build as they had delved deeper into the facility. Having avoided confronting the Darktrooper machines, he was still unsure if their location was known by whomever or whatever remained.

Hearing Arthos's reply earned him a nod from the Alor. Kotii would talk to Arthos again after this. He was doing rather well and the man had some praise for the young warrior when this was all said and done. Vizsla and Solus Houses butted heads and sometimes that made it harder for cooperative work. Differing clan practices and drills could lead to miscomunication mid-combat, even when it came to the might Mandalorians. Black Hand was grateful he didn't have to worry too much about Arthos. The warrior was pulling his weight.

In the center of the large vertical hangar sat the Hardcell class interstellar transport. The model was old and hadn't looked to have left the hangar in perhaps decades if not centuries. Cables and various supplies that were worth abandoning sat around the landing gear in the bottom of the silo like shaft. Tracks on the ground near the Mandalorians' boots would indicate the angular footprints of droids had traversed the way they were heading. But there was an utter lack of normal foot prints except for the ones behind the newest armored arrivals.

The ship itself was over two hundred meters in length meaning that Kotii could guage how far under ground they were by what deck of the Hardcell transport they were in relation with. However the only downside was that the boarding ramp was at the bottom of the transport forcing the warriors to travel to its deepest and dankest reaches. "The ship is active...I'm getting heat signatures along its hull." He shared as he flipped from his infrared and low light vision modes.

At the base of the ship the loading ramp was open. The area around it silent. Then came a cracking echo from overhead. The darkness from a hundred stories was split by a curtan of light. "They're not going to...they wouldn't..." Aden's concerned tone came from his helmet as his gaze was turned to look up. Kotii gave a simple response. "Get onboard now. They're taking off." He did not want to be around the retro rocketboosters when they ignited. Their only chance was to jump onboard the large transport and deal with whomever was onboard. Without another word Kotii sprinted towards the ramp and charged onboard. The facility on Hypori wasn't going anywhere. This was when the mission went sideways.

The roiling and seething in his stomach, deep in his gut, let Arthos know that he was alive. Was it odd that a sign of his nerves, his failings as a warrior, were what grounded him so often? Maybe it was but he didn't get to choose how he coped with stress. He coped with stress and nerves in this way and it had prevented him from being killed so far so he was willing to put as much faith into his own practices as he could.

But he was ready.

One way or another, Arthos was ready either to die or to achieve glory. That was what it meant for him to roll out of the bed each morning, don his armour and step out as a Mandalorian warrior. To accept that he was either going to die or try, once again, to cover his failings with glory.

The ship being active made an awful lot of sense, especially if the droid commander had a hard-link to the facility they were docked in. With the ship at least semi-hot they would be able to fly it out with their hard-link being used to open the facility's hanger bay doors. If the ship could still fly... it looked to be in great condition from the outside but the appearances could be deceiving when it came to old ships and he knew it well. Old CIS ships were something of a historical fascination of his and he looked up their stats a lot when he was younger.

He looked up and blinked.

"This ship has been be at least three hundred years old and they're just going to try flying it?"
he burst out, honestly rather surprised by the sheer audacity of the move more than anything else, "Sithspit!"

Cursing as he raced up the ramp with the Solus Alor, Arthos slammed the control panel for the ramp to retract once the rest of the team were onboard. As it began to retract and close up the ship began to rumble as it started up. Arthos moved away from the ramp into the main cargo hold, pointing up to an access panel.

"There - these old ships have access tunnels for droids but only a few corridors for organics. Access tunnels aren't meant for us but if we go that way we can avoid being where they expect us to be."

The squad of Mandalorian commandos had infiltrated the once Zann Consortium base and had successfully boarded the hidden capital ship in a secret hangar. The floor began to reverberate under their booted feet. Then the feeling of the ship accelerating made Kotii and the others flex their legs before the artificial gravity aided in preventing them from meeting the floor. Outside the ship was rocketing up into the atmosphere of Hypori, leaving the facility behind for them to come back to later once they made it back from this trip.

<"Good thinking. If they think they gave us the slip, we'll be giving them a proper surprise. Watchout for any cargo. These things carried a lot of battle droids."> Really, they could hold hundreds of hailfire droids and legions of IG units. But while in flight they would remain inactive if any remained in storage. They each would be a bit cramped going into the same mini-lift and access tunnels meant for droids. Instead they would each take two tunnels. Aden and Atin would bring up the rear guard while Kotii and Arthos lead. They already had a layout of the ship from Kotii's earlier scans and an idea of where to converge on the command center for the ship.

The spaces were tight for the Alor who had his jetpack and rifle to consider. Thinking on it, he took the jetpack off and the missile attachment incorporated. The same happened for his rifle as he set it aside to the entrance of the access tunnel. There was no use for either of them ahead and would only get in the way. Armed with his BM-357 heavy blaster pistol in hand, Kotii would have a single reload left for his rocket-pistol. So far they were encountering droids that needed some punch to knock them down permanently. This is where a shortened carbine would be perfect.

A few moments would pass as Kotii traversed the access tunnels and ascended, or rather moved to the 'nose' of the hardcell transport seemingly alone. In another access tunnel would hopefully be Arthos. The Vizsla and the Solus would converge in the same area, just aft of the bridge. Before exiting the access tunnel, Kotii keyed the helmet comlink to check in on the younger Mandalorian. Droid vocabulators spoke out of sight, though he had an idea of which direction to face as he came into the room. "<"In position."> He waited patiently for a coordinated breach. This wasn't the first time he had done this with the Vizsla and knew the man would be ready for whatever was inside. The glow of numerous holoscreens and readouts verified they were in the right place. Privatly he wanted to disable whomever was inside and potentially question, or slice, whatever was left. Critical information about the Zann Consortiums operations as well as control over the facility and any assets including the hardcell transport.

Cargo and crew were the same thing when one was talking about battledroids and that was terrifying when you considered just how many droids these types of ships were designed to carry. One part of his mind reminded the rest, however, that it was incredibly unlikely that there would be that many droids onboard if only because the facility they were leaving should never have had the capability to fill the ship.

At least not when it was under Zann control - under CIS control it likely would have filled one of these very ships every half a day cycle at the height of the Clone Wars.

Thanks be to the Gods that they were not infiltrating the ship during said war.

Setting his own rifle aside as Kotii did the same, he made sure to reload his pistol. He hadn't used all of the shots within the clip but he wanted to make sure there wasn't anything holding him back should he need to throw himself into the fray full tilt straight away. Thankfully his heavy blaster pistol should be able to plug holes in pretty much most droids in these confined spaces with little difficulty.

Moving through the access tunnels turned out to be a good idea but an unpleasant travel experience, as expected.

"At kote ra kyr'am."
he declared over the comline, "Oya!"

With the traditional call to hunt, Arthos burst out of the access tunnel with as much force as he could muster with his legs. Sliding out the access tunnel at floor-level, he raised his pistol and fired twice into the back of a pilot droid. Spinning on the ground, he avoided a reactionary blast from an older IG unit. As the blast scorched the ground where his head had been, Arthos adjusted his aim and fired once, blasting the guard droid's left knee joint out and sending the deadly assassin droid sprawling to the floor.

Unlike a downed droid, Arthos was able to gather himself up quickly to kick the blaster out of the droid's groping hands while it writhed on the ground trying to right itself. A trio of heavy blaster bolts to it's head stopped the droid from continuing the fight and he brought his blaster pistol back up to survey the cockpit. It would be just his luck if he needed to respond to the sudden reactivation of half a hold full of B2s after all.

Kotii dropped out of the access tunnel, opening the hatch suddenly to cause it to bang against the bulkhead singularly. His right hand reached towards his left gauntlet. The sound of the breaching action would be followed up by Kotii firing his grapple line at the last remaining IG unit. The grapple would strike the back shoulder of the magna guard. Kotii heaved on it, pulling the droid to the ground and on its back.

After the yank, the badger would fire a single well placed shot at one of the two B2 super battle droids in the room. It jolted as the orange superheated impact of the heavy blaster blasted apart the body of the B2 droid's back. In this room, an explosive like a grenade or missile could damage controls. The more precise firing of his BM-357's with its built high velocity bolts and heavy damage, the punch would knock the smoldering bodyguard to the ground as scrap metal.

A tactical droid, facing view screens turned suddenly as did the last remaining B2 battle droid. +Eliminate them+ It vocabulated heartlessly. The IG-100 model on the ground would be able to be put down by Arthos if he wanted to finish it off. The droid was notably different from the bounty hunter and assassin models Kotii was familiar with. The Alor would fire again twice, placing a medium blaster bolt this time in the neckless head of the super battle droid. The dual wrist blaster of the super battle droid hurled red blasts and one caught Kotii in the chest and another in his shoulder before evading the rest. "Gah!" It wasn't the first time he had been shot but it was never fun.

The droid was toast but the machine of violence packed enough wallop to make the badger grimace in pain. The buzz of the floored magna guard's electro-staff activated before the IG-100 got off the ground. It would move for either Arthos or the injured Kotii once it righted itself, using the staff to help right itself. The T2 tactical droid stepped across the deck like it was any other day. Its metallic appendages clasped calmly as it approached a terminal on the far side of the bridge. If allowed, the droid would activate the other battle droids on the ship or maybe something worse.

Breaching seemed to be something that Arthos could, with great caution, consider himself somewhat adept at. He was hesitant to ever call himself adept at pretty much anything outside of flying his ship but he was beginning to gain more empirical evidence that he was, at the least, not bad at breaching smaller rooms and cockpits.

He made a mental note to share this with his clan – it might be enough for them to actually view him with something approaching respect even if it was situational at best. Still, they were Mandalorians and that meant they didn’t have the luxury of waiting around for accolades to rain down upon them. They were already in motion again and he would have it no other way.

Spinning his pistol around, Arthos fired another shot and cursed as it hit the side of the IG-100’s staff, knocking it out of position and bringing the IG unit’s attention to himself. Seeing the tactical droid making it’s way towards a control panel, Arthos knew he had a chance to shoot one of the droids before the IG unit was too close for his pistol to be of much use.

So he shot the right knee joint of the tactical droid out, sending the top-heavy droid crashing to the ground before it could reach the console. Of course he was punished for his choice – the staff slammed into his ribs and Arthos bit out a strangled scream as he was bodily swung with the force of the attack to slam into a wall.

His blaster pistol flew out of his hands and Arthos dredged himself back to his feet with his hands in a ready position. Taking a breath he gestured for the IG unit to ‘bring it’… even if breathing was getting pretty hard right now.

It was times like these that Kotii was glad to work in teams and not be a loner all the time. Arthos did the perfect thing and shot the tactical droid's leg out and didn't immediately shot its head off to stop it. The badger took a staggered step and did his best to dash towards the tactical droid. +No+ It said in its deep synethesized tone. It's two arms tried to pull it across the last few meters of deck towards the terminal.

"Yes!" Kotii roared and leapt onto the droids back. Arthos suffered for the halting of the droid but Kotii had not forgotten him. The grapple line was still attached to the magna guard and the combat droid had not forgotten about that eighter. It spun its baton and a the Alor had only a moment to disconnect the link with a slap of his right hand before he was zapped by the connection.

Marching towards the badger, it considered the Vizsla clan member neutralized. Kotii's weight kept the T2 droid from moving further but it put the man off balance. His cybernetic left hand pulled the hammer mechanism on the back off the BM-357 to fill in another load of tibanna for a heavy blaster bolt aimed at its center of mass.

The droid took several clanking steps forward, brandishing and spinning the staff. Kotii sighted down the barell, focusing on the red chest photoreceptor. The IG-100 brought it's staff to have the phrik haft block the blaster bolt between its hands. The bolt flew from the tip of the blackwell stamped durasteel at high speed, impacting against the electrostaff and breaking it in two. The bolt maintained covalance and splashed into the target the Black Hand aimed for. A moment later its weight clattered onto the deck ontop of the remaining goo leg of the tactical droid +Oww+

"Vizsla, you still with me?" He called across the bridge. His right hand drew his vibroblade but he didn't activate it to make it blur just yet. Instead he looked for an access panel to more delicately disable the droid. He needed to buy an ionizer or looked into using DC series blasters with ionizing tibanna.
