As far as one could see, the trees became so simple and so beautiful. From here, nothing could be far from impossible, everything was possible it was just a matter of trying to find it and latch on to it; once you had that - things would just fall into place... at least that is what he was lead to believe.

Ovinci, dressed in a simple robe sat here. Deep within the mysteries of nature, he could hear the trees and feel the indigenous fauna this evening as the sun was being to creep beneath the horizon. He inhaled deeply, holding it and feeling the ripples before exhaling slowly. Ovinci was attempting to meditate, a task he wasn't always keen on but in the recent times he was trying to reach back to the foundation he had. "Strip away the world around you and embrace the inner-calm." Ovinvi kept telling himself, but the problem he was running into today was trying to strip away the world. He'd been at it for a bit now and decided to give up and stand up. He was not suppose to be up here, but he didn't care. He was close to the roof of the Jedi temple here on Ajan Kloss.

Ovinci took a moment to look everything over once more before he'd surrender himself. He got up here like any Force Sensitive would, he climbed the walls. A little bit of speed here, a little jump there, and just a dash of Force enhancement. Was this something he should have done? Probably not. He had to make some kind of example, but really it seemed more like a chore and more like a formality, he was only a Knight within the Jedi Order - it's not like people actually looked up to him or looked to him for guidance, did they? No. Of course not.

Ovinci had been at the temple for a long while now. He was encouraged to get back to his roots, maybe talk to some people, maybe guide them? He needed to bring it back to when he was a mere student, a mere recruit and not a padawan. Long before he was a Knight. Because of this, he was no stranger on the grounds - he had interacted with many of the students before. Of course he wasn't anyone of note, just another learner in the galaxy. But people talked to him, it's not like he hadn't at least interacted with someone - that would be an extremly lonely life. Not something he really envisioned himself in.

Satisfied, he looked down at the temple grounds below him, he had to get himself and he couldn't simply jump - that would be suicide. No, it had to be done a little more methodically and so that's what he did. He started it with a front flip and then catching his balance as he glided down the side of the temple. With a moment's thought, he wrapped the Force around him and leaped to another ledge, before attempting to continue his decent. One more front flip and he used the Force to enhance his speed to descend further. It was simple really, trivial even. It was that mind set that quickly nabbed him and turn the tables on him. He slipped with the loss of concentration and began to stumble down. Ovinci frantically attempted to find something to slow him down, a ledge or something he could use to control the rapid decent, well he certainly wasn't lucky today and that protection he sought wouldn't be coming to help him. All that was left was to ride it out and try and brace himself for the inevitable.

The miralan Knight hit the ground with a thud and he soon felt the cold stone on his back. Fortunately for him it wasn't a massive fall when he had lost control, a few meters, nothing to do any serious damage, but enough to bruise and feel it... probably tomorrow. Lying an the ground, the Jedi laughed to himself as he looked up at the temple where he had just rolled and began realize how silly he must have looked coming down. It was foolish, but hopefully no one saw it. He thought he brought himself down on the side that would be less traveled, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to be seen. "Well, that's one way down... not very graceful..."

With a sigh, the Jedi sat up and looked around to see if he was seen. He shrugged it off and stood himself up, brushing off his robes. He cocked his back upright and owned it, he totally meant to do that - tumble down the temple. Totally.

He turned his sights toward the temple ground where he knew people would be training, or meditating, or something. Maybe he could check out some light saber training? A lesson? Force practices? Or maybe nothing at all. Whatever might come will come, but he knew he needed to start walking away from here. As such, he began to set off toward the rest of the grounds.

Open thread, feel free to come in. First poster may dictate where Ovinci goes and meets your character - this includes if someone happened to seem him be an idiot. Feel free!

With the gust of wind carefully directed the directions of the dancing leaves, the sound of them rustling was a music to that Jedi Knight, or anyone who shared the love of mother nature, peaceful, quiet. In the centre of the grounds, sat a robed male in his twenties, leg crossed with eyes closed as he listened carefully to his surroundings. With a gentle tap of the Force, he remained connected with everything in the area. The roots that grasping for water, the water flowed into the stems, channeling to the leaves that gave the trees life itself. While it wasn't exactly chemistry, there were something else that binded everything in place. The Force.

A heavy breath escaped the lips of the Jedi, as he meditated in peace. Everything was quiet. Up until he sensed another being with a Force was in the move. He didn't sense anything harmful, therefore naturally, his mind answer the question that flicked instantly. The question was who, and the answer was, obviously, a Jedi. Korvus was in ground of a Jedi Temple therefore, the deduction was easy enough to be made without opening his eyes.

Not yet.

Of course until a loud thud was heard from the distant, both of Korvus' eyes opened in an instant. Not long after, a chuckle followed the loud and painful thud. With a heavy sigh, he got up from his meditation, turning to see the source of the sound. Catching the sight of a Jedi Knight, he remained silent for a moment. He didn't thought it would be a Jedi Knight that had fallen onto the ground from... his own doings. But everyone made mistakes, so there's no judging that.

Looking up from where the Jedi Knight might have fallen from, a smirk appeared unto his lips. "I sensed you through the Force during my meditation. You fell." While it was quite blunt, he couldn't help but smile, if not already bursting into laughter.

"Sorry, that was... inappropriate of me. I'm Jedi Knight Korvus Kayn, don't think we've met before?" Korvus approached the male, letting out a hand for a handshake. As he got closer, he realized how huge the guy was, and that fall must've taken some toll in him.

"Rough landing?" As it wasn't obvious enough, but Korvus was in the mood to talk, or meet a stranger, as in most times, he found himself a lonely person. Perhaps not today.

Ovinci heard the voice before he had seen the man approach him. "Of course it was witnessed. Can't let anything slide." He sighed quietly, but he wasn't actually bothered he was just more feeling foolish that it was seen. "Rough? No, I'd say it was another happy landing." Ovinci turned around the meet look at the human directly now, it wouldn't take him long to notice and accept the handshake being offered. "Ovinci, no I do not believe we have..."

He gripped the hand, applying pressure firmly, he tried to keep his grip in check. As they shook hands, the Jedi Knight shook his head in disagreement, "And no, by the way, that wasn't inappropriate that was accurate. Definitely fell, can't coat that one... mind you I could have just said I meant to do that" He paused a moment, "That would be a lie."

"Did you know that the ground is pretty hard? I mean, this rock and other materials... not exactly a mattress. But, honest, it wasn't there before - I don't know who put it here, the ground. It just... you know came out of nowhere."
Who said Jedis had to be serious all the time? Well he didn't know but the fact was, it didn't need to be true. That was exactly what the Mirialan was trying to demonstrate, humor. He didn't honestly believe that the ground was some foreign concept.

Ovinci laughed at his own comment before making an effort to continue to conversation. "So, Jedi Knight Korvus Kayn, what brings you out here for that session?"

The evening at the temple was quiet, even when compared to the usually reserved and low bustle that was the daily norm around collection of buildings that the order now called home. But Tsavo could hazard a a guess as to why seeing as many members of the order were out among the starts on one essential task or another, or simply going where the force lead them. That meant that most of the beings left on Ajan Kloss were the more sedentary and studious jedi, like himself, and they tended to prefer their silence.

But even still a day spent pouring over old tome and manuscripts, while wonderful collections of knowledge vital to their way of life, often left the spirit wanting for some form of connection. And it was this feeling that had driven him to start to wander the the grounds in search of something more vibrant in the force than old paper and data slates, rubbing the stress from his eyes. It surprised him that it had gotten so late, the sun was nearly down and was starting to dip below the tops of the trees.

He took a deep breath, filling his lungs with the world's sweet air while reaching out too feel the energy of this world from the relative handful of sensations of the jedi all the way down to the smallest bird and even the leaves of the nearby trees. The world was so alive, and just feeling filled him with a sense of calm and revitalized his weary mind ever so slightly. But then there was a change, almost like a ping on a sensor display Tsavo felt someone drawing on the force nearby. Turning he saw a tall figure descending the side of the temple in swift yet controlled leaps, using the force to aid his decent... for a time anyway. The presence he felt receded ever so slightly and the he watched as the figure stumbled and fell the last few meters, landing hard on his back.

Tsavo rushed over, even though he could feel that the figure had not perished he could still be severely injured. By the time he had made his way over to the figure, now easily identifiable as a Mirialan and thankfully unhurt, a young man had already come to check on him. Overhearing their names and the later part of the exchange Tsavo laughed, piping air through his tendrils in a soft whistle. "Pardon me for intruding Knight Ovinci, Knight Kayn." He said nodding to each of them in turn. "But it is good to see that you are not hurt, though I am sure it was painful."

He hesitated for a moment before continuing. "It is equally good that you do not take yourself too seriously and can find humor in that. Taking one's self too seriously can lead to arrogance, and from what records we have such arrogance is why our order suffered as it has in the past. I am glad to see that some are trying to break us of that."

He blinked.
"Oh where are my manners? I am Knight Tsavo Vivar,"

Ovinci shook his head at the comment made by @Tsavo Vivar, "I would suggest you are wrong, Knight Tsavo Vivar. I am hurt, well my ego is." He wasn't actually serious, this would be denoted by the smile he offered the Khil, "It is no intrusion. This is a public place after all, all is welcome conversation and training. So welcome, welcome to the conversation, Jedi friend."

The Mirialan Knight listened to the partial lecture he was receiving from the newcomer to the conversation, it was a topic that was said so often in these walls, it had been preached from day one and was still holding strong, part of him had hoped that as time would progress these kind of lectures would happen. That was the classic Jedi process, he was no fool though, it was obvious that one shouldn't delve too deep into those kinds of things, there was records of those individuals that would turn away and become something less, there was no denying that.

"Tell me sir knight, what occupies your mind this evening?"

Korvus laughed. The Jedi Knight was definitely playful in nature, and he was starting to love this guy. After the laughter ended, Korvus hummed silently before answering Ovinci's question.

"I thought a good session of meditation shall connects me more with the Force."

Upon hearing another voice from the newcomer, Korvus turned to face the owner of the voice. His eyebrow raised to see a species he wasn't familiar with, and by the time he had caught his disrespectful manner, he quickly nodded back in response.

"I couldn't agree more, Jedi Knight Tsavo Vivar. Laughter, jokes are quite important as any other lessons, and our friend here, Jedi Knight Ovinci seems to excel in this." His lips curled into a smile as he turned to the mentioned Jedi Knight there.

"I would suggest you are wrong, Knight Tsavo Vivar. I am hurt, well my ego is." Korvus couldn't help but smile, and shook his head. "See what I mean?"

The Khil piped some more air through his tendrils in a whistling sort of chuckle at both of the other Knight's light-hearted comments, especially considering that the only injury was a bruised ego. Their natures thus far were just the sort of interaction he had been hoping for in order to lighten his day and take his mind out of the stuffy library and the materials it held. Though upon hearing both Korvus and Ovinci refer to him by his full rank and title seemed quite at odds with the jovial and informal nature of their conversation thus far. 'Do I come off as that rigid and formal to them?' He thought to himself 'maybe it has been far to long since I truly spoke so my fellows at length. Lets fix this.'

"Thank you" he said to Ovinci in reference to being so welcoming before turning the now smiling Korvus "and indeed, he does. It's good to see and something I all hope we can emulate." He took a moment to take a refreshing and calming breath before continuing, slowly turning his head back and forth to address them both. "Now that we are antiquated I do not see the need to continue the use of formal titles unless you insist. We are of of the same rank and equals, so please just call me Tsavo if I may refer to each of you as Ovinci and Korvus in kind."

He took a moment to mark their reaction before answering Ovinci's last question. "And as for what occupies me this evening,I seek to company for my fellows. While the library contains vast knowledge of the galaxy and the force it has been far to long since I just stopped to chat. And what about you? What was it you sought on the top of the Temple?"

"Finally!" Ovinci exclaimed without a second thought, "It was getting stuffy and all formal like. We're just beings. Doesn't matter what we are or what we do, we are beings and we've all been granted the exceptional honour of being touched and able to hear the Force. Sheesh. Were on common ground, no need for it all. No example needed!"

He took a moment to gauge their response before saying another word. "Oops. Did I say that out loud?" He had to give his head a shake, clear the dust from the head before he would look to respond to his two cohorts. His eyes went from Tsavo before sliding up the side of the temple and a look to the sky and back down to the Jedi Knights. "Well, you see, up there I was attempting to control the clouds... no, no, sorry." He seemed to have a bit of a laugh, but it was more awkward than a laugh. "No. Up there, it's quiet. Peaceful. You can see the stretch of this planet from horizon to horizon. Being on top of there helps connect me, it's like... an antenna. I wanted to reach out. And I wanted to take a look at everything and enter it into my memory."

Ovinici crossed his arms before lifting his finger to his chin and tapping it a moment as if to be thinking, "Not to mention... it was a challenge to get up there, an adventure. That's what I wanted."

Korvus let out a laugh at that, nodding his head several times as a sign of agreement. "Totally agreed, Tsavo." Ovinci agreed to it as well, and the idea of Jedi Knights getting to have much more simpler and normal times were fantastic. It was what they were doing. Socializing, the normal stuffs. Korvus listened carefully to Ovinci as he explained why he was up there, and the reason of his fall.

"Not to mention... it was a challenge to get up there, an adventure. That's what I wanted."

So, Ovinci was the type of guy that love an adventure, and perhaps, any sorts that could be deemed as adventure, Korvus had no doubt he would be the first guy to sign up.

"It is a pleasure meeting both of you, Jedi Knights. Speaking of Jedi Knights, have both of you take a Padawan yet? I'm still looking for a candidate though."

it seemed that his appeal for dropping the formalities from their conversation have gone over well, but it was always best to ask and some who followed their path took themselves too seriously in his opinion. But that did not seem to the the case with his two compatriots and he flexed his tendrils in a gesture of happiness as he listened to them and considered their statements and question.

Ovinci seemed so far to have a rather perpetual humorous bent and spoke freely, both things that Tsavo felt would serve him well even if some of the masters might disagree. "Yes you did say that out loud, but no worry for someone who speaks as boldly as you is quite refreshing and often true to themselves and their emotions. Do not censor yourself on our account." he leaned in conspiratorially "We wont tell." As he continued to listen he began nodding along with what the Mirialan said as it made perfect sense to him. "Though I have not been up there myself I do believe I understand, it sounds like a wonderful place to connect with the force." He paused as something occurred to him. "Though you seek peace and adventure? I know they are not mutually exclusive but can be quite difficult to balance. would that have been why you..." He gestured to the ground to finish his question.

He nodded at Korvus in reply, wondering at the man's take on their thoughts as he replied. "The pleasure is mine." Tsavo blinked at the question that came next, not only because it was little surprising but also he had never considered it. Granted as a Knight he was well within his rights to claim a learner as a Padawan and share in his knowlege and views of the force, but he just didn't fell..... ready perhaps? "No, I have not taken on a learner. While I am indeed a Knight I just feel as if I have not done enough or learned enough to justify becoming a teacher. Truth be told I do not carry a lightsaber for the same reason, but I will earn that right in my own eyes in time I'm sure."

To be a teacher, that would be the goal of so many wouldn't it? That was the Jedi way - pass on knowledge and make the order stronger. That's what he was suppose to do, but he wasn't going to do that. Not yet, he didn't think he even had the potential to teach right now. He was young and he just wanted to get out there and have fun, take an adventure or two and see what could happen. Why ruin that kind of fun but having a little one follow him around and ask "Why?" and "Show me." or whatever... he remembered his time as a padawan learner, he probably was a little too much for his own master.

"No." He said plainly. He really didn't think he needed to explain it much more than that - he certainly could tell them a story or provide clarification but really, was there a point to it right now? "I have not taken one, and don't intend to anytime soon." But here's the thing, he says this with confidence and assuredly - but the truth is, he did believe the Force worked in certain ways, it's what he grew up with. Not only as a Jedi but has a Mirialan, his society had a strong focus on the Force. He would stated he wouldn't take one, but he secretly acknowledged that there was a a chance that the Force might give him a learner, despite his protests.

It was only now that he would also realize that Tsavo didn't carry a blade - he hadn't been paying attention to that, he was wrapped in his own world. Interesting points, however Ovinci believed a Jedi needed the blade, the blade was an extension of one's self. He could have entered a debate about this, but to do so so early... no... that would be a bad idea. No. He would just leave it as is.
