(While it does say Open, I'd like to keep this thread maxed at 4 total players please! Just trying to have a faster turnover rate is all!)

Brahe nonchalantly leaned against a nearby wall, browsing his data pad. The objective of this little endeavor was nothing less than the full pursuit of what we all knew as the game.

The game. You either had copious amounts of game, or you had no game at all. Or perhaps you had some game, but didn't know how to fully unlock one's own potential?

What game, you say? Well of course, the oldest game in the book! The game of wooing an attractive person!

And this is EXACTLY what Brahe had come here to do. He had matched with a girl on a dating app that had become rather popular in this region of space, nevemind that the app was likely being run on Huttese syndicate money. For the young padawan, that was an irrelevant detail- the Hutts had their slimy hands in damn near everything regarding the economy anyway. So there he leaned, expecting the girl to meet him. Master Mi'la might have thought Brahe was asleep at this hour, but no! The call of romance trumped all!

Of course, it being a rather....uncharacteristic thing for a Jedi to do, Brahe had showed up alone, not mentioning to ANYONE why he was here. Little did he realize, that Master Mi'la more than likely knew that Brahe was up to no good, and had sent her new, second padawan looking for him. She knew Brahe's typical meeting spots, so it wasn't a stretch for her to be able to find him here....

The city air was of a moderate temperature- the sheer scale of Coruscant's sprawling metropolis providing a steady climate through artificially controlled means. But nevertheless, Brahe braced himself for the cold. At this level, many of Coruscant's winds buffeted the balconies occasionally, creating a degree of coldness. But it was a prime location to meet a girl at- after all, it had a beautiful view of the city. What more could a hopeless romantic wish for?

When will you be here? He wrote on his data pad, sending the message to the other party.

When Giran heard that Master Mi'la had agreed to take him on as her apprentice he'd been ecstatic. He'd done his research and he knew she was on the forefront of historical research within the order. So when he heard they were going to Coruscant he thought maybe they'd be looking through the old temple or maybe finding secret doors in the senate building. No. Giran now sat in a small cafe hidden at the back spending money on ridiculously priced cocktails so he could watch Brahe. He wasn't sure how he felt about Brahe yet, they hadn't had alot of time to talk. He was boisterous and a bit of a gear head two things Giran didn't really get but he HAD seemed ok so far. Now though, this looked very shady, not at all behaviour a model upstanding jedi should be exhibiting.
"Sir, if you're not going to buy anymore drinks I'm going to have to ask you to leave"
Mi'la was definitely going to owe some credits for this...

The more time Segri spent on the surface of Coruscant, the more she regretted not getting to it sooner. The cool evening air was delightful and the nighttime lights were beautiful. The only thing that would make it better was some quality food.

She had a meal earlier the day, but it was garbage. She wanted some proper food that didn't taste odd. And this little cafe she saw in the distance really seemed to fit that description. She was walking along the sidewalk towards it, glancing around as she walked. Odds of getting attacked out of nowhere in the streets was probably slim this high up, but it was a habit she wasn't going to drop anytime soon. She only looked down when she fished her packet of cigarettes from her pocket and took one out along with her lighter.

She frowned when the damn thing didn't want to light. She kept clicking away, trying to get the cigarette to catch flame, but to no avail. To make matters worse, she was so focused on her crisis that she didn't pay attention to the way in front of her and collided with a kid that was standing in the way against a wall (@Noctyr). With a grunt she stumbled to the side, dropping her cigarette onto a puddle on the floor. She grumbled as she looked down at it before looking back up at the kid. "Hey, watch it punk!" she scolded him with a flick of her hand before walking on.

Still salty about losing her precious cigarette, she barged through the door into the cafe and made her way towards the counter. "Sorry, ma'am, we're busy closing up." one of the servers said, clearly caught off guard by her entrance. "Does it look like I give a kriff? I'm starving here. Now, gimme a good burger and a cola." she ordered and folded her arms across her chest.

The people behind the counter really didn't want to argue with the sour Zabrak...and the handful of credits she brought forth sweetened the deal as well. "Keep the change. Now, hurry up, will you?" she urged them on and slumped into a seat behind a table. Finally calm, she glanced around to see if she was the only one. Surprisingly, she wasn't. A Mirialan sat off on the other side of the cafe, seemingly minding his own business. She studied him for a moment then turned her gaze towards the counter. (@TRook)

She felt an odd aura coming off him. Or was that her imagination? Either way, she wasn't in the mood for meeting people, so she minded her own business.

When Targe bumped into Brahe, he fumbled, nearly dropping his data pad while in the middle of using the app. Letting out a sigh of utter frustration, he managed to make the save, preventing the device from hitting the ground and making for a very expensive evening.

“Next time, I’ll remember to pick a different venue….” He grumbled to himself, as he shot the woman an annoyed glare. It wasn’t laced with TOO much venom- he was a kind kid after all, but it was likely enough to show her his…disapproval at her clear lack of awareness in which way she was walking.

The night wasn’t boding well- it appeared that the girl he had intended to meet wasn’t here, not did she plan on arriving, as it had already been 30 minutes since their supposed meeting time. Groaning in frustration, he walked over to Giran and sat down, rather unamused.

“Master Mi’la sent you, didn’t she? She should know by now that this is nothing like last time. I’m completely safe. WE….are completely safe.”

He glanced in Targe’s direction, before modifying his statement.

“…almost safe. Hey, Giran. I dare you to try hitting on that Zabrak lady that just walked in. If you do it, I’ll pay for your drink.”

He grinned, anticipating quite the fun shenanigans if Giran so chose to oblige the dare.

Watching Brahe saunter over to him Giran tried to hide, well hide aswell as a bright green miralan could. All he really achieved was looking panicked and flapping his arms a bit. Brahe threw himself into the chair opposite.
"Master Mi’la sent you, didn’t she? She should know by now that this is nothing like last time. I’m completely safe. WE….are completely safe.”
Giran's eyes widened the more Brahe said. What's worse is the matter of fact voice he said it.
"What do you mean last time, what were you doing!" Giran exclaimed
Brahe ignored him, actually Giran wasn't even sure he'd heard, something else had caught his attention.
"…almost safe. Hey, Giran. I dare you to try hitting on that Zabrak lady that just walked in. If you do it, I’ll pay for your drink.”
Giran, spat that very drink out spraying Brahe with a blue cocktail he couldn't pronounce. He was about to go on a rant about how irresponsible and idiotic Brahe's behaviour was but before he could the waiter brought the bill over.

That was alot of numbers... Come to think of it he had drunk a fair amount.

"Fine... But you pay for ALL the drinks" Giran said stifling a hiccup.
Giran stood up wobbling just slightly.
"You've messed with the wrong guy, I've watched literally hundreds of hours of romcom holovids" He announced triumphantly

He strolled purposefully over to the zabrak. The same zabrak who had shouted at literally everyone he'd seen her interact with. Weren't zabrak meant to be witches... Like dark side witches. She had so graciously let him sit on peace at the back of the cafe. Oh force what was he doing. Oh force.

It's ok he had his hundreds of hours of romcom experience and there was one line that never failed...

"Let's roleplay, you be a sith and you can use all the force you want on me!" Giran tried to say confidentially but it just came out as a shout.

Giran fixed his most winning smile and waited for her reply.

Segri glanced at the kid as he entered and walked towards the Mirialan in the back of the shop...who seemed to have spied on him. She ignored them as she waited for her meal, but she still listened in on their conversation. It was safe to say she was surprised when she overheard the dare. Immediately gears started turning in her head as she hid the smile on her face.

She was now fighting to hold her laugh back. As if some cheap quotes or pickup lines will win her over. But she was now torn on what to do. If she shot down and chased off the Mirialan, his friend would win...not something she wanted, given the fact that he ruined her cigarette. But she also didn't want to give the Mirialan the satisfaction of thinking he won. At least he seemed to know this was a bad idea.

She waited for him to come close, expecting some simple joke or smooth talking...what she didn't expect, was him practically shouting at her. She jumped slightly in her seat and turned her head to glare at the kid. "You keep shouting at me like that and I'll be forcing something up where the sun doesn't shine." she spoke flatly, looking him over. "Seriously, you really need to learn how to talk to a girl...unless you want a hole in your chest." she continued, adjusting in her seat. Her left hand rested on her leg just beside her blaster.

From the corner of her eye she took note of his friend, and an idea popped into her head. "Tell you what, kid..." she started, pushing the chair out next to her for him to sit. "Why don't you do me a favour." she motioned for him to come in closer. "Put my meal on your friend's name and you can try again." she muttered, softly enough to keep the kid from listening in while she spoke to the Mirialan.

Giran sighed heavily. Yet again the holovids had failed him, he was going to have to get a refund. He hesitated only a second before taking the seat she'd offered him, Brahe could probably afford it his dad was a big shot in some company. Plus he'd put him up to this so he could pay the consequences. As he sat down he studied the zabrak properly for the first time. She was definitely scary and gave off an aura of being able to handle herself but there was something else … something he couldn't place...
"Sure, he's loaded anyway. Honestly I'm surprised you even let me sit down, I don't really do this I just really cant afford those drinks." Giran murmured "Although I wouldn't recommend putting a hole in my chest, my master and that guy would probably take it to heart."
Giran really didn't want to be shot. He could probably get his saber out in time to deflect the bolt but her hand was awfully close to her holster and it was definitely not something he wanted to risk. He should probably just leave now surely he'd done enough to earn those free drinks and he'd make sure Brahe paid the waiter for the meal. There was just something intriguing about this rough zabrak, something nagging him about her, something he couldn't put a finger on.
"My names Giran by the way, Giran Latt, I feel like i should know you?" He said slightly abashed
As he said it he held his hand out awkwardly to shake her hand. Did he know her? He didn't think so but then what was this feeling? Maybe she really was a darkside witch although now he thought about he thought only the night brothers were zabraks.
peculiar.

Within moments of Giran standing up and approaching Targe, Brahe had already whipped out his datapad (the star wars version of a smartphone) and had begun filming the poor soul’s rather hilarious attempt at hitting on the older lady. Stifling back a laugh and reducing it to a mere snicker, he tapped a couple buttons and sent a holovid recording of the entire exchange to none other than Master Mi’la herself! Ohhh man, Giran was likely in trouble now.

Attempting to force Brahe to pay for all the food and drink was a sly move, but Giran was right- the damn padawan was loaded due to all of the money that his father had earned as an executive at the Sienar-Jaemus company. Paying for an expensive meal wasn’t a huge issue, but it was more the principle of it all that would have annoyed the hell out of Brahe, were he to find out. He stifled another laugh, swiping back to “space tinder”. His original match had failed to show up, but he was already over that and swiping away on more profiles… who knew? Perhaps that’d catch the attention more hot chicks….orrrrr just some catfish

When he mentioned his friend being loaded, Segri started brainstorming even more. She completely forgot to enquire over his remark when he introduced himself. She glanced down and shook his hand firmly. "The name's Segri. And sadly, I don't think we've met before." she answered as she looked him over. She definitely didn't meet this guy before. But there was something different about him, that was certain.

"You say your friend's loaded, huh?" she asked with a smirk. "How about this. You help me order some of the most expensive stuff and put it on his name and we can gladly get to know each other better." she winked at him as she slightly leaned onto the table, resting her cheek on her fist as she looked at him. She caught sight of the other guy apparently recording them. That only confirmed the thought in her mind that using him as a blank check for food and drinks was a fantastic idea. She really wanted to see his face when that check arrived at him. She did momentarily glance over at him, seeing that he was on his datapad.

Sure enough, a ping on her own datapad confirmed what she thought. He was going down...

She was trying to figure out a way to get back at him a bit more, but right now the thought of crippling his account with really expensive items sounded like a plan. "You said something about your master earlier. What do you mean? You some kind of slave or something?" she asked him, clearly not understanding what he meant. There was still that nagging in the back of her head that she was supposed to know him or something like that.

"ok Segri, well in that case I guess I could eat. too" Giran chuckled "and maybe a bottle of something?"
Was this actually working? She seemed to be into it. Was that a wink! Giran's cheeks went a violent shade of orange. There's no way his bumbling had actually worked, oh force. He really hadn't expected to get this far. Of course Giran was completely oblivious to the efforts of his friend to embarrass him. Later he wouldn't hear the end of it but, for now, he was blissfully unaware.
"Oh no, I'm not a slave, feels like it sometimes but no" Giran said in answer to her question "I'm a jedi."
He took a napkin and started folding it.
"We used to be sort of a big deal like... a hundred and fifty years ago maybe. 'Guardians of the universe' people use to call us." Giran continued "we've only recently made a resurgence, we use this mystical energy called the 'force' to better people's lives and just help, it's a pretty rewarding gig." With that Giran revealed his creation, a small paper crane. Using the force he flew it around the room, circling Brahe a few times, and landing it back in front of Segri. He grinned ... That was pretty smooth.

Brahe rolled his eyes as he overheard the conversation that Giran had with Segri. It was a bit hard, given the distance, but he could vaguely tell that Giran was talking about the Jedi Order. While Brahe himself wasn't exactly hiding the fact he was a Jedi, he didn't expect Giran to be so open about it. To be honest, Brahe's intentions for joining the order were altruistic, but also marred by a severe immaturity. Having started the path of the Jedi at the young age of 13, Brahe had originally intended it as a means of regulating his own way of life, and to atone for the fact that his family, particularly his father's side, had been aiding in the development, manufacture, and subsequent smuggling of immense amounts of war materiel to the Galactic Empire and the First Order. Generations had passed since those eras, but Brahe still acted out of a sense of responsibility for those crimes. His mother, on the other hand, had been vehemently opposed to the idea of Brahe becoming a Jedi. It was with extreme disdain and reluctance that she allowed it to happen, but something always gave Brahe the feeling that there was more to it than met the eye.

Yawning, he paged his starfighter to arrive nearby. His date hadn't appeared, so it didn't make much sense to stay much longer. Besides, it seemed that with Giran occupied, Brahe could get away with finding another cute girl to talk to. That zabrak girl seemed a little too rash, after all.

True to his word, he waved over one of the servers, and paid for Giran's drinks on the spot. The server was a young lady- seemed to be a Cathar. Being so far away from the other two, it was hard for them to hear his conversation with the young lady, but she giggled and laughed- clearly whatever Brahe was saying to her was working pretty well, and she gave him her digits, then turned to walk back behind the counter.

Brahe gave a little wink to Giran, encouraging him to go on. Surely he'd be able to get at least a kiss or something, even if the Zabrak seemed to be an older woman.

Segri's smile broadened at his suggestion. "That sounds like a solid plan, Giran." she said smoothly, watching him. Her datapad was going crazy with notifications, drawing an annoyed sigh from her. She checked her datapad quickly and scowled at what she saw. It was them! Being filmed from behind!

She glanced at the kid who was preparing to leave then back at her datapad. She waited for him to walk past, then stuck a leg out to make him trip and hopefully fall flat on that pretty little face of his. Her leg would just as quickly pull back and she'd look at Giran again with a satisfied smile.

He then went on to explain what he was, and did a really nice trick with his space magic. If he kept silent on what he was, then she'd probably be sold with that little trick. But that smile steadily faded and the disappointment on her face became clearer. "Seriously? Oh, come on!" she folded her arms and sunk into her seat, not happy at all over his profession. "Of course the one time I meet a cute guy he's a friggin celibate." she mumbled, then abruptly rose from her seat. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Master Giran. Guess the fun's over then." she took her food and a few bottles that they ordered and got ready to leave. It was quite abrupt to say the least, but it was clear what she thought being a Jedi meant...

If Giran didn't intervene, then she'd be out of that door and walking back to her ship

Heh, his loss. Brahe surmised, as he watched Segri leave the area.

Segri would never get her chance to trip Brahe- he never walked past her to begin with, although the Cathar waitress did indeed walk on by. He'd wait for Segri to take her leave through the door on the way to her ship, before walking on over to the balcony nearby. It was only a few moments longer before his TIE ranger screamed into view, the restaurant staff giving a look of annoyance as the scream of the twin ion engine made itself known. Brahe rather casually jumped into the ship through it's open top hatch, making sure to wave at Giran before he closed the hatch and took off entirely.

Talk about a hell of an exit....
