Alright, the thread Time Doesn't Heal, It Only Leave Scabs is about getting together assassins, to create a new Ghoul faction, a elite assassin organization that is only hired by high end people.

If you are interested in joining (because I need at least 2-3 people to be part of it) then post in it. I'd really like to get the faction started again.

What do you mean by that? Too many threads or factions?

Too many freelance mercenary factions. The Hutts were designed to group all of them together, and now people are making more of their own independent factions then ever.

This exactly. IMO, and no offense to anyone, but too many people are making their own Freelance/criminal factions that are not wanting to be apart of the Republic or Hutts with some even going against one or the other.

I think people just want to lead their own faction so they can say "I lead (Faction name here). As Hutt Overlord, I need to start absorbing and/or Eliminating all these other factions that are beneath me.

And the reasons are simple. Even in a rule-ridden RP board, people will want to be their own boss. Either the Hutt Faction can go off and absorb them if they are indeed the large criminal organization, or you can temporarily disallow anymore new 'Other Factions'.

Like you could have a set limit and whenever one of the active 'Other Factions' fails, disbands, or is not active anymore yu can say one person can make a new faction. You could have like a a admin conversation on whether or not so and so should be allowed, could he keep them active, would he make sure everyone was somewhat involved.

There are things you can do to prevent more Criminal organizations from popping up; it is in the Admins' power to do it. But if you refuse and say it is taking away the RPers creative power, you only have yourselves to blame. After all yall made the rules and yall can change them.

But that would mean the admins would be controlling the RP, which would take away freedoms from the RP. The best thing to do is just have the Hutts absorb/destroy them.

Yes, but that's only if they can.

That be the plan. They will join the Hutts or be destroyed. There is no alternative.

Yes, but that's only if they can.

Considering Independent factions can't ever get as big as the main factions... yeah. lol

They can get down close.

In the Alsaken Crisis Timeline the Corporate Conglomerate had as much if not more resources, and this included assassins, security firms, the Shade, and more.

If it had been run more efficiently and if the Admins allowed it very well could have been a main faction. But no they wouldn't allow it and forced everyone's characters into a corner of uselessness.

They did? I certainly didn't approve that, and considering the Shade is my faction I would think I should at least be consulted if we're in a corporate conglomerate...not least because what is essentially a religious order has no place in one whatsoever.

It was allied with Kupo's faction, the one with Iron Man armor, and then he allied up with two other companies. I've read the threads where you and his Kitaara something or another did stuff, you even gave him a Shade as a go between.

We had a working relationship between the Shade Order and ARC, or moreover one between Cain and Kitaara, but at no point were we part of a conglomerate.

You were allied in a sense. If your ally ARC allied with others, in turn they are your allies. Maybe you weren't 'part' of the corporate conglomerate, but you certainly had a say. Somewhere.

Either way, I've killed the character. The group will not start. It's all moot.

I suggest anyone else having the same idea joins the Hutts instead.

What he said.

I totally forgot to announce that he's dead.

Oh well.

I would prefer you left the announcing of my faction's relations and alliance to me, if you don't mind.

As this thread is also no longer of any point, lock.
