Oren slid out of his seat as Nara chased after the twi'lek, hopefully he wouldn't have to step in, but with Nara you could never know. Flashes of his own first mission came back to mind, his master and his two closest friends on the planet of Wubani. I miss you guys, he thought to himself as he slid out the door and back into the blazing sun.

He could see Nara standing there, her feet kicking up a bit of dust. As she asked the man where the medicine that he had stolen from the Jedi Master had went. Oren himself watched the twi'lek with some interest, as he tried to gauge the reaction of Ja'quesh, who seemed shocked by it all.

"I..I.." The alien would stammer, "I stole a few extra packs from the old man when he wasn't looking." He'd sigh, "My daughter is sick with a debilitating disease and I couldn't see her in pain...Please, I need the medicine."

Oren would hum softly as he rested a finger against the pit of his chin, it was evident that Jun knew that the man had stolen them, but did nothing. He could step in and gauge the decision, but he wanted Nara to do this. His eyes would peer towards his student, waiting to hear her thoughts on the outcome of this situation.

Nara listened, ready to hear some inadequate excuse about oh I just completely needed those supplies for my crippling addiction to the black market and then... he laid that out there. Nara stared at Ja'quesh for a few seconds, unsure what to do or say. What could she say? What was she gonna do, smack him around or put him in cuffs? Not that she had any.

The frustration was completely evident on Nara's face as she muttered wordlessly. "Fine," she managed to say eventually. "Fine. Sorry for bothering you." It wasn't worth it. She felt like she could yell at him about taking stuff that doesn't belong to him, or stealing supplies from clinics, but the poor guy had a sick kid. What'd she expect him to do?

She turned away from him, taking a couple of steps before turning back and looking at him, one hand on her hip. "Just... y'know, do you not think it might be better to ask him yourself? He's running a clinic, that's what it's there for? Do you... do you not think that they might be able to give a little more help if they know what's going on?" Nara asked, looking up into Ja'quesh's eyes.

"A problem shared is a problem halved," she said, rolling off the saying she'd heard somewhere, once. "The old man isn't going to turn away a sick kid. Just... think about it, please," she said to him, chewing her lip a little as she turned to head back to Master Oren.

A small smile would form on the Jedi Knight's face, as he watched his Padawan explain to the Twi'lek on the implications of his actions. It seemed today, that she was learning that there was always more complexity to a scene than one would first expect. She handled it well and learned some humility in the process.

The Twi'lek stammered, but Oren quickly cut in, "Master Jun runs the program for free and on his own effort..As my student said, he won't turn you back..and he wouldn't take the medical supplies from you." His words slowly shifted to something of a command, "I would ask that you return to Jun and offer to help him around the shop, you we're trying to help your daughter yes? Well, aide Jun and learn about the practices of medicine and healing, and he can help take care of your daughter."

The man would peer towards the two of them, "Oh..uh, sure, I'm so sorry...I..I feel terrible," The man, would approach the two of them, before Oren raised his hand with a slight wave.

"It's fine my friend, trust in my words and may the force be with you." He'd say with a slight bow before turning back towards his student. "You did well today, tell me what did you learn?"

Nara blew out a little bit as she approached her master again, taking a second to look over her shoulder at Ja'quesh. She watched him take another look at her and Oren, like he'd just had the weirdest encounter of his life. That was probably true, though. If it'd been anyone else, Ja'quesh would have been in a lot more bother.

"I learned not to rush into things, thinking I know everything already. That things might be more complicated than it seems at first," she admitted in that soft, half-sigh that all teenagers have when they're learning a lesson. "And most importantly? I learned that it's far too hot on this planet." She groaned as she fanned herself, rolling her eyes at the sheer dry heat of the place.

"I'll try not to stomp around like I own the place in future, Master. Now please... please can we go somewhere cold?"
