As quietly as possible, Sakadi left the small room she and Mid had made for Taral. Their youngest child refused to go to bed without either her or Mid reading a bedtime story and this time, it had been her turn. Halfway through her story, however, Taral fell asleep. All that was left to do for the mother, was to quietly leave the room.

Closing the door behind her, the Sephi went downstairs to look for Mid. They rarely were alone nowadays; their three young children demanded a lot of their time, but they also had to maintain their farm. Usually, Sakadi took it upon her to look after the children and the house, while Mid took care of their farm and assets.

Setting foot on the ground floor, she looked around the living room for Mid. Instead of Mid, however, Sakadi's gaze fell upon the white-haired girl sitting on the couch.

Crossing her arms, the mother entered her daughter's mind. "Why are you still up, young lady?" Sakadi saw her daughter freeze as the familiar voice echoed through her head. "I'm practicing mom.." she mumbled, as she glanced over her shoulder to watch her mother approach. As of late, they had started homeschooling her. And the fact that their eldest daughter, Eriana, was taking it so seriously made her smile. "If you go on like this, your father and I might let you go off-planet when you're old enough. But you mustn't forget to take some time off now and then." Sakadi stated, as she sat down beside her daughter. "So I suggest you go to bed and resume this tomorrow." It was all she needed to convey, for her daughter rose to her feet and trudged up the stairs with a soft "Goodnight.." All that was left for the Former Jedi now, was to wait for Mid to return.

Standing behind the two girls, in the unlit kitchen's dark back door, two glowing golden eyes watched them. When Sakadi ushered their daughter off to bed, the hulking Pureblood stepped into the living room with a gentle smile. Without a word he slowly and quietly walked over to Sakadi and slid his hands over her ribs, wrapping around her stomach. Leaning over the Sephi, Mid planted a kiss in the top of her head. "Passionate, determined and not willing to take a break...wonder where she gets that." he quipped softly as he looked at the stairway where Eriana ran off to. While Sakadi never met her, Mid certainly saw some similarities between his daughter and her namesake. Of course, she did carry more similarities to the two of them..

He let go of her, walked around and slowly sank into the couch beside Sakadi with a sigh. His simple shirt and trousers were dirty and his hands were black with grease...at least the right one was. The worn cybernetic left hand seemed spotless. He could definitely use a shower. "Taral asleep, I take it?" he asked her as he wrapped his right arm around Sakadi's shoulders to pull her close. "I was hoping I'd be done early enough to take tonight's turn, but that plough decided that everything needed to seize up today." he explained, a hint of exhaustion in his voice.

"At least it's quiet tonight." he commented, slumping in the seat a little to get comfortable. "Sky is also clear tonight, if you wanted to go sit outside." he had a smile on his face as he spoke, looking at the Sephi next to him.

Sakadi's eyes followed her daughter, until she reached the first floor of their small but compact house. Mid's gentle embrace and his exclamation made her radiate with pride. "I think she'll be ready to learn about the Force soon. It's going to be vital that she knows how to wield if she ever goes off planet." she added on a more serious note. The Sephi could never let things go; there was always something else to worry about.

With a nod, Sakadi confirmed that Taral was indeed asleep. "Don't worry about it. Apparently he likes stories about heroes and villains, luckily I've been on enough missions to think of a few." she conveyed with a slight smile. She couldn't utter a single word, but that made her storytelling even better. Through her telepathy, she could add sound effects, change voices and sometimes even show images and memories as she remembered them. It was fun to do, in a way.

Without warning Sakadi rose to her feet and turned, locking eyes with Mid. A hint of mischief would be present in her eyes. "You know, I wonder what our fourth child would be like. If we had a fourth one, of course." she stated, as the Sephi took place on her husband's lap. "Eriana will be asleep soon.. but I suppose going outside is the safer option. It's not like I'll make noise, but I can't speak on your behalf..." she bit her lip as she conveyed her teasing message. In a graceful motion, Sakadi rose up from her comfortable position again. Gesturing for Mid to follow her outside. The Sephi was fixated on Mid as she opened the door to the porch, her expression teasing and mischievous. That was until she turned to face the view they had from their porch. The former Knightess froze and her smile faded, as her gaze fell upon something terrible in the far distance. A bright glow, close to where she assumed the Bastin family's farm was located. A fire.

That was still something they needed to figure out: how they were going to teach their children. The two of them had very different philosophies when it came to the force and how to utilise it. Of course that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, being able to have their children understand both sides of the Force, but it was also dangerous. He let it go, though, as he took his seat beside her. He didn't want to spoil this evening with an argument.

Mid listened to Sakadi's explanation, giving a nervous chuckle. "I think you have a few better stories than me in that regard." he admitted. Of course he had some really good stories. The fight against the Mandalorians, him and Kalanda on the prison, but the bad ones outweighed the good ones by quite a bit. Nonetheless, he wanted to try at least. Perhaps Sakadi could help him out with telepathy to use it for stories like she did.

He looked up in surprise when she suddenly rose, though when that look in her eyes caught his, he raised an eyebrow. His hands slid around her sides and the small of her back, holding her close against him as he gave a sly grin. "If we keep going like this, we'll find out soon enough. Though I think we are fine with three for now." he said softly to her. When she brought up his volume, he frowned slightly in embarrassment. "Hey, I wouldn't say I'm that loud..." he argued with a shrug. He didn't hesitate to follow when she got up and made towards the door. He held her hand as she led the way, not willing to miss out on the opportunity.

The mood went right out the door before they did when it opened. In the distance, Mid watched the fire at the nearby farms. "Well, there goes our quiet evening." he commented.

He suddenly rushed back inside towards a nearby cupboard and yanked it open. Inside it, he grabbed one of his old holstered Lullabies and a spare power cell and clipped it to his belt. Whether it was just instinct or something else, he felt that it might be needed. Rushing back to Sakadi he nodded towards their Speeder. "Come on, let's go. Lock the door." he said as he rushed to get into the driver's seat.
