An elder man, with long white hair and bright blue eyes, clad in a simple shirt and simple pants, sat in a silent empty room. His eyes were shut and it was obvious that he was meditating. Today a new student would arrive, and he would train that student. Quentell had also recently become a council member. He didn't ask, but he was asked, and to him that was a real honor.

After a while, he got on his feet and walked over to a small wooden table. On that table was his black leather jacket and he put it on. Then he put on his belt with the holster that contained the blaster pistol. After that he put on his brown leather gloves and clipped both his sabers to his belt. Then he proceeded down the hall, towards the main hall where he would meet his new apprentice.

Sitting on a bench set just far enough from the center of the main hall, Ross looked over a picture of his deceased wife. The marriage lasted a couple years before she fell ill and sucumbed to the disease that had plagued her.

A couple months had past since her death and the time that he had spent with her was still clear and vivid in his mind. Closing the locket that held the picture, Ross secured his lightsaber to his utility trying to make sure not lose such a precious item. It was a family heirloom and a valuable item to be used in his training. Ross then jumped up in response of hearing the pattering of foot steps. Looking to see his master for he was told to be in the main hall, Ross immediately bowed in respect.

The man was clearly much older and deserving of respect. Ross kept his head bowed as the man came closer but decided it best to greet him.

"Hello sir. Thank you for giving your time to train me. I will not fail you."

Ross knew he probblably sounded like any other student that his master had already trained. But now he was focused on training and listening to his master's advice that would be taught unto him.

"Ah, hello Ross." Quentell said, his voice sounding friendly. "And even if you do fail, I will help you get up and we try again until you can't fail anymore."

He offered a smile and reached out his hand.

"I am Quentell Xall." He said. "Council member and Shade Master. I trust you are well. How was your trip to Thyferra?"

Ross could already tell that his master had a good mindset about training that certain. Also he had some sense of humor which might make things easier as training progressed. But now he was inquiring about his trip.

Things could of gone better. Paying someone to give you a lift on some rusted out freighter isint the best way to travel but Ross didint enjoy being cramped together with complete strangers. He had a bit of claustrophobia.

"Not as pleasent as I wanted it to be. But im here in one piece at least."

"Alright." Quentell said. "Well then, let's go to the training room. On our way, we'll pass by a few nice locations within the enclave, so keep your eyes open and watch carefully." He nodded to Ross and then turned around and began to show Ross the way.

They passed by the messhall, the courtyard and serveral other places, and finally reached the lift that would take them to the first floor. When they reached the door to the training room, Quentell quickly typed the four-digit code on the panel next to the door, and entered the room.

"Have a seat, Ross." He said. "Would you like something to drink? Water, or some Juice perhaps?"

As soon as his master asked him to take a seat, Ross did so.

"No I will be fine, sir. Thank you for the offer though."

His mind was more focused on looking at everything around him.
He was especialy fascinated by the courtyard as they passed by it earlier.

(Sorry for the brutally short post.)

(No problem)

"Alright then." Quentell said. He got himself some water and sat down on another chair. He looked at Ross and said: "Let's start with getting to know each other a little better. Do you want to tell me about your past, Ross? I'd like to know, because it is important."

He sounded very patient and friendly, but it was true. One's history was important, because it explained who you were and how you turned into that person.

"There isint much to say realy. I was born a drifter and continued the life style. I met my wife in my travels. She...passed away a couple months ago."

Ross held a small locket in his hand and stroked with one finger as he stared
blankly at the floor.

"I then set out to travel again after weeks of grieving. I found a nomadic group and spent time training under them to increase my physical abilities.
Then I thought it was time to get some type of force related training."

Ross paused once more and let out another small sigh before continuing.

"Well thats my story."

"I'm sorry for your loss." Quentell said.

The Council Man felt bad for asking, but then again, it was good he knew this. It was not a too disturbing tale, but not really a standard one either. He figured he would pay attention as they would progress through the training and keep an eye on Ross, to see how he was doing mentally.

"Are you ready to begin to actual training, Ross?" He asked after a while.
