Tatooine.jpg

Under the 2 blazing suns of Tatooine in the Arena of monsters laid dead bodies and broken weapons. Monsters in cages hungry for there next meal growling at anything that moved. A dead Bantha fell into the Arena and all the cage doors flung open. Monsters poured into the Arena chomping and biting at the corpse ripping off pieces and feasting on it by there selves. Stomping could be heard from the biggest chamber in the Arena and in fear all the Monsters darted for there cages except one Nexu. The rancor then stepped out of the shadow of the dark chamber and went for his meal. He then found the Nexu eating what was his he then grabbed its tail threw it into the air and ate it whole. He then grabbed the Bantha corpse and dragged it into its cage.

The Hutt Duba'yaba sat on his throne thinking about the monsters he would send to the field. Having sent the galactic invitation to fight at his arena for 20'000 Duba'yaba waited for any warrior to walk through into his throne room. As he waited he had his guards prepared incase of any intruders that weren't here to fight. He then ordered for a Twi'lek dancer to amuse him and as after minutes of his amusement he heard footsteps heading to his throne room. In panic he flipped his switch beside his throne and a trapdoor below the Twi'lek sprung opened and the Twi'lek fell into a pit of water where one of his pets lurked.

"Mee jewz jul"

Said the hutt as he ordered his guards to leave as he waited for whoever was coming up the steps.

~ Theme Song ~

To be honest, Emerald had been looking for something to entertain herself with. One of her favorite pastimes when she was sitting in some Jedi temple on some secluded planet, were animals, or well. more like beasts. The great beasts of the galaxy, clashing against one another, hunting their prey, they simply fascinated the Horansi. The greatest beasts had evolved over millennia to be the apex predators of their respective homeworlds, and even beyond. There was just something about that that demanded respect, and Emerald wasn't one to shy away from offering that respect. Even if it meant facing such creatures and monstrosities in open combat. How then, would she have been able to resist the calling of the Hutt lord known as Duba'yaba when he sent out word for the finest beast slayers in the galaxy to come test his collection?

The large figure of the Horansi Jedi landed with a dull thud as she jumped off the transport and into the sands of Tatooine. It was her first visit to the planet but it quickly began to remind her of her homeworld, the unbearable heat almost comforting to her. She hadn't been foolish enough to come to such a place dressed as a Jedi though, instead, she wore a straw hat and a fairly simplistic sand colored cloak over her regular grey and black robes. Her lightsaber was hidden within a satchel on her utility belt, instead she had only an electroblade and an electro whip.

Today she was not a Jedi, as she made her way across the short distance between where she'd landed and Duba'yaba's palace, Emerald went over her temporary identity in her mind. Today she would play the part of a beast hunter from the Horansi homeworld, Mutanda. More than anything she looked forward to testing herself against whatever manner of creatures this Hutt had to offer. As she made her way towards a couple of guards standing outside, one approached her, demanding to know who she was. "Ah'chu apenkee?" (Who are you?) Causing her to pause mid step, allowing herself to stop and come to a resting position before speaking in turn.

Her reply happened to be in Huttese, which seemed to surprise the guard for some reason. It wasn't a language she was unfamiliar with, as the Zeison Sha had taught her multiple languages, the second most common one being among them. "Andoba champio." (Another champion.) Perhaps it was her altered appearance, or perhaps it was her use of the guard's native tongue, but he didn't seem interested in questioning her further. Returning to his previous position, the other guard beckoned her forward, through and into the palace gates. Similar to the other, this guard didn't seem to interested in being sociable with her, simply pointing her in the direction of the throne room and leaving her to find her way.

As she began ascending the steps into the throne room, Emerald hear a woman's scream, then the booming voice of a Hutt ordering everyone to leave. Emerald again paused, unsure of what to do. Her Jedi instincts were to help the woman, whoever she was, but then again, she was quite literally in the lion's den, and it wouldn't be a wise idea to go in lightsaber blazing. Instead she took the moment to reaffirm her focus, allowing those passing her to do so without moving from their path. Perceptions were everything, Emerald knew she'd have to make people other than Duba'yaba perceive her as she intended. This meant appearing indomitable, something that wasn't exactly difficult for the Horansi Jedi to do, often intimidating even her fellow Jedi into keeping a wide berth.

Reaching out into the Force with her mind, Emerald sensed the presence of a lifeform beneath the floor, the familiar sensation of the dying fading, as if whoever had let out the scream from before had been dropped from some sort of trap and into the clutches of something lurking below. Emerald would be sure to keep this in mind when approaching the Hutt. Emerald made her way into the throne chamber, she made sure to wait for the Hutt to speak first before offering her greetings. "H'chu apenkee inkabunga Lorda Duba'yaba! Dolpee bosco bolla killee che uba." (Greetings incredible Lord Duba'yaba! I am looking to go kill for you.) Huttese might not have been unfamiliar to her, but it was still rusty, and she hoped she wouldn't offend him. Funnily enough, she hadn't spoken in her typical use of third person as when speaking in galactic basic. This was mostly due to how she had grown up learning and morphing galactic basic on her own, where she had been specifically taught to speak Huttese.

Surprised the she spoke his language Duba'yaba had a small respect for her. Duba'yaba studied the Horansi curious to see if there were any distinct features about her. He then flipped a brown lever witch dropped a Bantha corpse into the arena behind the glass wall. He then flipped another switch which let all the beast out but kept the rancor in. He then flipped another lever which alerted his guards to be on guard. In response to her introduction Duba'yaba asked "Choy?'s do name?" (whats your name?).. He then cautiously placed his hand by a lever which would send her to her horrible death

Emerald had made sure to watch her step, standing close enough to the Hutt not to offend him, but also close enough to the edge of the trapdoor that she was able to take a step back and off of it. Despite noticing the Hutt's movement towards some sort of lever she could only assume was meant for the trapdoor beneath her feet, she didn't move, at least not instantly. Instead she turned her head away from the Hutt to look out at the arena. There were various beasts fighting over the remains of some sort of humanoid body, the species couldn't be identified though, at least not after what the beast had been doing to it.

Her feet followed her gazed bringing her towards the window overlooking the arena, and off of the trapdoor. As she moved, Emerald crossed her arms before she turned to Duba'yaba as she spoke. "My pee kasa haku uba naga, Lorda Duba'yaba. Dolpee uba champio ateema, de my killie che uba." (My name is whatever you want, Lord Duba'yaga. I am your champion now, let me kill for you.) It was an interesting prospect working for a Hutt, she'd never trully found her place with the Jedi, just as she'd never felt truly at home with the Zeison Sha, Emerald needed something more, a thrill beyond reading old tomes and meditating. The Horansi needed to taste blood every now and then, and she knew that is what Duba'yaba offered. If anything, she might be able to one day broker a treaty with this Hutt and the Jedi to what end was uncertain, but for now all she needed was a pastime, a hobby away from the Jedi and the war, something to keep her sane.

She stopped just short of where the trap door was hidden, inches from it's edge, as she knelt before the Hutt. "Dolpee uba ateema, hi chuba da naga nei?" (I am your's now, what do you ask of me?) Emerald knew how to flatter a man, despite her often broken galactic basic, she was quite the charmer with Huttese, at least when she wanted to be. She knew Hutts loved to be served, by everyone, even their favorite bounty hunters were little more than slaves meant to be ordered around by their Lord. This is what led her to assume Duba'yaga asking for her name to be a trick question, so decided to let him name her whatever he saw fit. Emerald had come solely to fight the fiercest beasts Duba'yaba had to offer, he could call her whatever he wanted, let the crowds cher whatever name he offered them when she entered the arena, she simply didn't care about that. If he really wanted to know her name, she'd offer him a fake, it was a foolish thing to trust a Hutt, and a name was all any proper bounty hunter needed to hunt down a target. She might be a Jedi but she wasn't foolish to believe she could survive the private army of a Hutt.

OOC - @Bastilo Marshall The proper way to ask for someone's name would be "Haku kasa uba pee?" Choy is an expletive meaning "what" as in "what the hell" Your character basically said, "What the hell is your name." though the Huttese word for name is "pee."

The Hutt stared at her even more surprised. The Hutt pulled another lever which opened a door at the side of the room. 3 Gamorrean guards entered the room and into a formation which looked like they were escorting a prisoner. The Hutt then pointed at the door where the Gamoorean's were and said "Hoohah will take u tah doe arena "champio". The Hutt then pulled another lever which closed the door to throne room. He then turned and looked at biggest cage in the arena as the glass wall slid open and his throne slid out and into the highest platform in the arena. He then clicked another button which sent a invitation to come to the arena too watch the fight. As he sat there watching the biggest cage in the arena where his monster lurked in the shadows finishing up his meal and getting ready to eat more. He the pulled out a yellow holocron the shape of a cube from under his seat and opened it revealing the secrets of the beast master.

He looked into the arena and studied each animal and instantly knew how they felt... hungry and then from the top of the arena a ventilation system sprayed gas that smelled like bantha meat making all the monsters bang on there cages then rumbling could be heard from under the arena.

OO - @Undine I couldn't find any way to say the sentence properly so I had to piece some things I found together.

She watched as the Gamorreans entered, nodding to herself as Duba'yaba ordered her to go with them to the arena. This is why she had come here, all this way, Emerald wanted to fight, her animalistic instincts demanded the taste of a fresh kill. The hunt, the fight to the death with one's prey, it was a sacred thing, something found all across the galaxy and on every world. Sure, she could taste battle anywhere the war raged on, but fighting sith and participating in the survival of the fittest were two very different things. Emerald knew that trying to satiate her instincts by waging war would only lead her down a dark path, at least here on Tatooine she could shed blood with the sun on her back.

Emerald walked with the Gamorreans, they might have been escorting her like a prisoner but not even they were so foolish as to attempt to cuff her. The Horansi was just as much a beast if not more so than the ones locked in cages, she on the other hand had the intelligence needed to break from such traps. The oversized pigs would sooner find themselves as food before Emerald submitted to be put in a cage. At least the walk towards the underbelly of the arena was short lived, Emerald making her way past various aliens, beast trainers, and even a few battle droids before coming to a stop in front of a large metal gate.

As the voice of the Hutt thundered overhead and the beasts could be heard ranging in their pins, Emerald stood, now alone, as the gate to the arena lifted. She could smell the faded scent of blood in the sands beneath her feet as she took her first few steps into the arena. She pulled her electorwhip and elctrosword from her hips, the whip in her right hand and the sword in her left. She looked up towards the place where the Hutt sat watching, and that's when her stomach sank. Even from this distance she could clearly see Duba'yaba holding something that looked oddly like a holocron. It would seem even when she took a vacation, the war was hell bent on following her.

As Duba'yaba sat on his throne on a platform at the top of the arena guarded by his strongest guard a Wookie he announced to all the aliens, humans, and droids in the crowd "De wanna wanga u unko che doe fight!" The crowd cheered exited to see great battle. "Ban gon wan she co, cah." said the Hutt as the gate below him opened and then his Gamorrean guards came through escorting his champion. The Hutt then said "La yama beestoo hehehe BOSKA!"

The Gamorrean's squealed and rushed out of the arena as he gate closed. Then one of the cages opened and a Ackalay came rushing out chomping at the ground as if it were blind. The rumbling beneath the arena grew louder and pebbles shook as the beast under the arena banged on the trap door the size of the arena. Duba'yaba then swallowed a worm the size of a book for lunch.
