Fiach was slightly surprised by Delnor’s somewhat direct approach, but understood his logic – which boded well for his future in the Order. Context was key in most situations and even a Jedi should modify their approach depending on who they were speaking to – and why. The Mandalorian was most likely a man of action and so would appreciate a no-nonsense approach to the situation. But she also saw in him a measured warrior, taking time to respond before committing himself.
“It is fair to say that I did not anticipate their actions and yes, it had a negative impact on my reputation.” He spoke clearly and slowly and was surprisingly frank. “Nothing I cannot repair – although others solving it for me would not help…as I’m sure you’ll understand. But I can confirm the Sith were responsible and give you descriptions of those that I met. That way, any obligation I have to the slaughter of innocents can be met.”
Fiach nodded, there was that honour code again. And she took notice as he gave brief, but complete descriptions of those he’d met.
“And none are local, so I don’t expect you’ll find them in these parts any more.”
