As the invading forces advanced on the square Gabriel rose his hands up in a boxer's guard, moving forward with the rest of the defenders with him. Two broke off from the parade of multicoloured, metal-clad Mandalorians advancing on the square. Both fired on the padawan during their approach and, at the same time, Gabriel advanced.

Gabriel's arms moved inward to block his body in a peek-a-boo guard with both gauntlet-covered forearms nearly vertical over his torso, top of the forearms facing forward and fists just below his chin, head slightly lowered. The first yellow bolt deflected off his left gauntlet into the ground while the two stun shots dissipated against his right gauntlet. Gabriel moved left and forward, taking a diagonal approach toward the closer bronze-plated Mandalorian, keeping both in his line of sight. They were clearly coming in to land and Gabriel intended to move in close. He bent his body slightly to keep his body covered as his targets landed.

His gauntlets might not have the reach of a lightsaber, but they were wider and easier to defend with. When the second yellow bolt came from the bronze Mando, he and Gabriel were advancing on one another at the same time at a similar pace. Gabriel lowered and turned his left arm's half of the guard to intercept Bronze's second shot and bounce it back at Bronze's chest from 15 meters, continually moving forward with quick-but-short steps to keep his balance and tempo, light-footed and mobile.

Gabriel's opponents were heavily armored and bogged down by an armoury's worth of tech. Stuff on their arms, jetpacks, guns, ammo, who knows what else. The padawan, unarmoured and lightly armed, had a much quicker and easier time moving around on his feet and used that to his advantage on the approach. The Force flowed through Gabriel, preparing for his next move during his turtling advance.

Two would be big trouble, but maybe if he could just take down one it would help.

The Mand’Alor tracked his quarry (@Tom ) with the patience of a skilled assassin or hunter. There was a moment that would be perfect. His Galeer-15 was still tracked on the Jedi as he shut off his lightsaber to roll. He had found the moment. When Laeo had jumped off the ground to tumble, Fenyang fired one shot directly at his moving body. His shot was tracked for the Padawan’s lower body, at his thighs. With the padawan fully in motion when the shot was fired, he may find it difficult to interrupt or react.

A mere instant later, when the Padawan had landed from his barrel roll, as he was rising to his feet, Fenyang squeezed the trigger again, aiming at his midsection in case the Padawan attempted to duck or jump.

With the rapid succession of blaster bolts, even mustering the strength or concentration to pull the boxes would be incredibly difficult. Doubly so if the Padawan wanted to avoid getting shot. If the padawan still managed his sneak attack, the Mand’Alor would remain ready to react to any Jedi trickery. Fenyang heard the rattling of metal crates slamming against surfaces, and shot his eyes in their direction. He was forced to either continue his charge at Laeo and get struck by crates, or pivot towards a new direction.

He chose the latter. As the boxes came towards him, he ran northwest, parallel the direction of the cart. He slowed his charge to a stop as a crate of space bananas spilled out before him. It had diverted his attention, but he was a warrior who came in search of the Jedi. He was ready for their sorcery. From the corner of his eye, he saw two of his brothers ( in arms do battle with another sorcerer in gauntlets. They would all have a chance at glory. He returned his carbine’s sight to the Jedi he had shot.

When he had outstepped the crates flung towards him, he clocked another, new target in his line of sight. Starros (@Nor'baal). So he had come to the fight. He remained ready for whatever scheme an aging Senator would pull in a warzone.

Rayyan kept both of his Peacemaker’s leveled on Gabriel, keen eyes fixated onto the young Jedi as he began to close the distance between them. His attention very briefly drawn towards the two stun bolt that zipped by from across the field, flicking his gaze towards Gett’se for half-a-second before locking back onto Gabriel - staring directly at him and watching the padawan’s every action and movement.

While the Padawan did not brandish the one of the plasma-blades that the members of his order were infamous for, Rayyan’s attention was drawn to the gauntlets that he wielded in their place. Most of all, he watched the way Gabriel used the armored gloves to deflect his first blaster bolt and all of the fire from Gett’se.

It didn’t take the Mandalorian more than a split second to anticipate what the Padawan might attempt to do, knowing now the deflective-capabities of the gauntlets, and his trained instincts as a warrior drove him react accordingly. The moment the second blaster bolt left his pistol, Rayyan subtly shifted his weight onto his right foot, preparing to move himself in that direction.

His suspicions were rapidly confirmed when Gabriel used the gauntlet to intercept Kryze's second blaster bolt, repelling off the surface of the Matukai weaponry and sending the condensed shot of yellow plasma back towards Rayyan’s chest. With his weight already on his right foot, Rayyan abruptly twisted his body and leaned to the right - out of the path of the redirected plasma bolt.

While his quick reflexes and instincts were enough to save Rayyan from taking the heavy blaster bolt to the chest at such close range, they fell short of avoiding the plasma bolt entirely. As the yellow bolt zipped by, it cut horizontally across the Kryze’s breastplate - slicing through the durasteel armor and grazing across the surface of Rayyan’s pectoral.

He couldn’t help but let out a low, pained groan - narrowing his eyes upon the young Jedi as he continued to advance. While painful, the grazing blow did little to incapacity the Mandalorian. Immediately following the graze, Rayyan reached up - and with a press of a button on his gauntlet - Rayyan ignited the thrusters of his jetpack, allowing his feet to rise up a few inches off the ground. With his back already facing in that direction, the Kryze leaned back and allowed his jetpack to carry him backwards and to the right - gliding a few feet above the ground.

While armored and weighed down in comparison to the light-footed Jedi, the jetpack the Kryze sported did well to make up for any loss in mobility.

As he flew backwards, Rayyan leveled his blaster pistols upon Gabriel once more. Without a moment of delay, the Mandalorian pulled the trigger of the pistol in his left hand - sending another bolt of yellow plasma - this time aimed for between the Padawan’s thigh and hip. In rapid succession, another bolt was fired from the pistol in his other hand. His wrist flicked up to aim the bolt for the Padawan’s torso - both shots coming in at roughly the same time and making it far more difficult for Gabriel to defend multiple regions of his body with the gauntlets.

The Mandalorian’s jetpack carried him backwards and to the right, putting an additional ten meters of distance between them - carefully avoiding moving into close-range with a Jedi - and repositioning the Kryze to Gabriel’s left side.

Once more, Rayyan pulled the trigger of his both pistols in rapid succession, sending two more bolts of yellow plasma towards Gabriel - one aimed for his legs, while the other zipped towards his chest. Within a few moments, Rayyan came to a halt - his boots touching down onto the ground once again.

He was positioned far enough to Gabriel’s left side that the Padawan would need to turn his head on order to face the Mandalorian.

He only briefly glanced out of the corner of his eye, taking note of the Padawan engaging the Mand’alor and the Senator taking cover. His gaze only lingered for a split second before returning to his opponent - keeping his blaster pistols leveled on Gabriel. Rayyan tracked the Padawan closely - anticipating where he would move next and prepared to pepper him with additional blaster bolts

Gett'se had expected the Jedi to flash one of their brilliant plasma blades in response to the incoming blaster fire. He hadn't expected the young Jedi to deflect blaster bolts with the back of his hands, though the surprise was swift and short lived, the information filed away for now and for the future. If he survived. Likewise he noted that the Kryze's blaster bolts zipped away from the Jedi while his own stun bolts merely dissipated against the Jedi's hands.

Hitting the ground moving, Gett'se's eyes flicked across the battlefield for a moment to note lightsabers and other targets of note that stood out among the raging battle. A Weequay engaged and running from another Mandalorian. A flash of explosion as a Solus warrior flew at a green-blade wielding Jedi. An old man toddling through the battle across the square, nice and easy and seemingly out of place. A white blade whirred briefly behind his own target as he pulled the trigger, his rifle still trained squarely on the pugilistic Jedi's torso.

A blue stun bolt sped across the thirty odd meters separating them at the same time as the Kryze's jetpack flares with Gett'se shuffle walking northeast-east at a brisk pace to position himself to the right and back of the Jedi as he maintained aim and fire on the target. His rifle dipped to aim at the Jedi's hip region and he pulled the trigger again, blue bolt screaming forwards as the Kryze triggered two shots at the Jedi's thigh and chest. Another trigger pull as his rifle swiftly leveled back on the Jedi's center of mass, another blast streaking towards the Jedi while the Kryze warrior repositioned and as Gett'se continued his movement, encircling and flanking the Jedi to where he couldn't keep his eyes on both Gett'se and jetting Kryze at the same time while keeping the Kryze out of his own firing line. A final dip of his barrel fired a fourth shot towards the Jedi's hip region once more as another double blast from Rayyvan clipped towards the chest and thigh, rapid simultaneous and sustained fire from two angles seeking to overwhelm the Jedi's defenses, probing for a hit.

What shots might miss the first Jedi would run the risk of flying past the pugilist to intercept the white bladed Jedi as he pushed forwards against the Mand'alor and filling the space immediately in front of that Jedi's push.

While Nox had slight hope his rocket would have done some damage, he wasn't surprised at all to find the Jedi use their powers of sorcery in order to negate it. Being able to witness the Jedi conjure the lightning even as he had aimed his rocket, the Solus was prepared to commit evasive maneuvers to dodge the blast. With the lightning hitting the rocket about halfway and the explosive shot toward the ground, it already made it slightly lower in elevation compared to him when it exploded. Deciding not to alter his speed, Nox simply tilted upwards, avoiding both the blast of his own weapon and the force attack of the Jedi as it whizzed past. The explosion of dust and such even provided slight cover during his approach. During the maneuver, he smoothly brought his right hand over to his left gauntlet to ready his next attack.

Because the Mandalorian had already been flying towards the stationary Jedi and hadn't slowed his speed, he would close the distance and be upon the Knight in a brief matter of moments, barely leaving any time to react. Instead of closing in completely, Nox angled to slow himself down slightly as he pressed the button on his gauntlet and activated his flamethrower, intense fire roaring out and onto the Jedi as it would envelop him somewhat. The flames would close the remaining distance between the two and shrink the window to practically nothing upon which his enemy could devise some protection.

With Nox coming in at high speed, he wasn't able to stop completely and instead curved his landing so he committed a sharp half-circle around the Jedi's left and to his back to reach a stop behind him. His flamethrower would be on during, the cone of flames bright enough to blind his opponent and cover the quick landing while he also tried to protect himself, the Mandalorian out of reach of the lightsaber but still well in the range of his flamethrower at 3 meters.

By the time he landed, the first capsule would have emptied itself, Nox keeping his finger hovered over the button still. His beskad remained in his right hand and at the ready to be utilized. If it worked, The Mandalorian expected the Jedi to be suffering from major burns over his body and flooded with pain as he doubted his opponent could have reacted to such speed. Then again, he was facing a sorcerer and he was prepared for anything.

Nox remained vigilant about his surroundings and his senses kept on alert as he was ready to take off in case things got hairy.

Trust his luck - he seemed to have found himself facing the youngest person of distinction on the battlefield opposite him. The masses of local forces and Mandos didn't count so much when it came down to the battle in the square. This was where things mattered and he was against another young man.

War made warriors or corpses of boys and their time was now to find out which they would be by the end of today. Even if he did feel a strange kinship to the other teen, they both knew what they were here to do and they both knew their duty to their people.

Letting out a breath in a rush of air underneath his helmet, Arthos threw himself forward into a sprint at the same time the Weequay was hit by his bolt. As the Ranger recovered enough to advance and fire, Arthos activated his jetpack again even as he flicked his gauntlet buckler to life with his left hand. Spinning slightly to the right, he avoided one of the inaccurate shots completely, the second sparking off his buckler and shutting it down with a flash of sparks.

Rocketing across the distance that they two of them had been rushing to close anyway, Arthos would slam his braced left arm and helmet-clad head into the Weequay's upper chest with all the speed of a jet-packing Mando. As soon as he connected he would fire twice with the pistol in his right hand, right into the Ranger's chest, below where his own left arm was so the barrel wouldn't be visible to the Ranger.

If the blaster bolts landed he would be happy to leave it at that once they had landed, happy to leave the young Ranger to die with dignity and honours. If not?

Then he was ready to make this messy, he supposed, as his jetpack had enough force to carry the two of them the remainder of the distance to the fountain's stone edge, where the Weequay's spine would impact it ahead of Arthos should all go to plan.

The young warriors sprinted at each other, propelling themselves towards whatever destiny had in store for them. Bak-Ru's pistol would fire twice, one bolt missing its mark completely, but the other hit the Mandalorian's buckler and caused it to fizzle out in a shower of sparks. The Weequay was determined to force a melee and as the jet pack strapped to his opponents back roared to life he would get what hoped for and then some. Bak-Ru would let his instincts drive him. The blaster pistol fell from his grip and his freed hand would join the other to hold the stun baton. With a flick of his thumb the weapon would glow blue as electricity flowed through it. His right leg planted to stop his sprint and he allowed the rest of the momentum to flow through his arms as he swung the baton upwards before the Mandalorian made contact. The intent was to drive the tip of the weapon directly into the face plate of his opponents helmet.

Whether Bak-Ru aimed true or not mattered little as the warriors collided. The impact would drive the air from his lungs, but it would be the flash of a hidden blaster that would really catch the inexperienced Weequay by surprise. It was a brilliant move and one that would prove successful. Fortunately for Bak-Ru the impact of the warriors would save his heart from direct fire as the blaster shifted and first bolt glanced off his chest plate. Still enough to burn and maim the flesh, but not enough to kill him immediately. However, the second bolt would land directly against his abdomen, burning through the armor and critically wounding Bak-Ru. With a grunt of pain he would fall to the ground, unable to continue this fight any further.

Zerath's Force Sight blazed through the debris of the exploding rocket, and painted a discouraging picture; the Mandalorian's jetpack proved more maneuverable than he'd anticipated, and the man was still approaching while lining up what Zerath presumed to be another wrist rocket. Zerath, still stationary and aware of his adversary, was ready to receive the attack.

The only problem was that the Mandalorian was not slowing their speed at all, and it didn't take a genius to see they were intent on closing the distance as quickly as possible. Deciding that an armored shoulder to the midsection was undesirable, the Jedi Knight threw up a Force Barrier with his free left hand...

One-thousand one. One-thousa-

...and was immediately grateful that he did when the "second wrist rocket" turned out to be a flamethrower.

Sudden heat engulfed him; the world was reduced to the roaring sound of an inferno, and Zerath wanted to scream in pain but couldn't as the air was sucked from his lungs. He could feel the skin on his left hand crackling and swelling, and only by deactivating his lightsaber and thrusting his right hand forward was Zerath able to reinforce his Force Barrier to one able to match the flamethrower's wrath. He'd hold the Force Barrier until the man switched weapons, hoping that he could hold out that long.

A padawan would've been cooked alive he thought to himself, noting that his left hand had severe burns and would be functionally unusable.

Gabriel was beginning to regret his limited experience fighting more than one target at a time and he quickly determined jetpacks were a massive pain in his ass. The ex-Seyugi's eyes were keen and locked on, however, and he began to act as Bronze (@Altaris) went for his wrist controls.

Having gathered the Force during his advance he thrust his left arm forward as the jetpack ignited, using the condensed power to completely change the Mandalorian's trajectory. Instead of back and right he'd just careen backwards, powered by the Force push and his own jetpack, to clothesline the back of his head and neck against a thick tree branch extending from the foliage behind him. It did not, however, properly prevent Bronze from firing his first two as he was launched backward.

Which was a problem. His gauntlets guarded against Bronze's twin shots, right dipping to deflect the one toward his leg and the other deflecting the one aimed at his chest. Blue's (@Arcangel) stun shot hit true and impacted Gabriel's right arm, numbing the limb and leaving it useless. He whipped around to bring his other gauntlet up and block Blue's second rifle shot, twisting on his feet-

Too slow. A second blue bolt struck his unarmoured hip, and another into his chest. The Padawan dropped mid-motion and fell to the ground, skidding slightly from his own momentum, and slid to a stop. Gabriel was well and thoroughly stunned, and consciousness quickly faded to black.

Spotting the Mandalor, the subject of his ire, Starros took aim with his blaster and fired three shots at the man, even through his foe was in cover - attempting to either keep him pinned into position (and therefore make him prone to an attack from someone else) or to goad the man into facing him directly. Keeping himself behind cover, he waited to see what would happen next.

Only a handful of times in his still relatively short life had Laeonas come across a Mandalorian. He'd always known of their reputation-- unstoppable warriors, prowess unmatched in any field of combat. It was a reputation he like so many others had come to fear-- but that hadn't caused him to buckle when threatened by one on New Alderaan. The mere sight of these beskar clad warriors couldn't break him-- wouldn't. Myth alone wasn't enough to break the will of Laeonas, self proclaimed son of Andronikas Tannaras.

But what about a demonstration?

He had expected further shots from the Mandalorian, but what he hadn't anticipated was that they'd be anywhere near accurate. Always in the past did people falter to keep track of him when he moved as quick as he did when summoning the force as his ally. Yet the shot fired, and searing pain would rip across his thigh. Scarred skin from a similar wound from years prior was vaporized, and the stench of burning silk and skin filled his nostrils. Even with the force increasing his speed, his run would be seriously hampered by this wound.

Coming out of the roll, the second shot was immediately batted off to the side. He'd been distracted long enough, and with the immediate follow up of his diversionary crate assault, the results were less effective than he'd wanted. The pain fed into a slight frustration that was building in his heart, and so his pulling of the crates was even more erratic, with some hitting the ground and breaking apart on impact.

All the while, his quarry-- no, his opponent (@Fine Dining Set) , who was proving himself near his equal-- had shifted to the side, trying to put distance between him and the little fruit salad the man had just prepared. Laeonas' attention shifted back to him, back to the man who'd defaced his leg, and who'd relied this entire time on putting distance between the two of them. "Is this how war's done?" he thought. These were tactics he was familiar with; hit and run attacks and retreats that defined the fly by's and streetfights of his youth.

He knew how to fight like this.

Before he could do what came next, two stun bolts came flying at him. Attention refocused, the man batted away the lowest shot, and would perform another quick roll (covering less than a meter) to dodge the one that would've collided with his shoulder-- or his groin, of he'd been standing. He didn't waste any time on finding the source (@Arcangel ) of the stray shots, searching wildly before his eyes focused yet again on the Mandalorian who'd shot at him first. That regal bit of fabric and gold ornament would look really good on him.

Leaping to his feet and clenching his teeth as pain ripped up his leg, Laeonas would do what he always did when he saw someone that had tried to put distance between the two in a fight-- keep them from moving again. Reaching out with the force, he would seize the Mandalorian's right calf and yank forward. After so many distractions-- dodges, deflections, rolls, and the pain in his leg, the attack wouldn't be at 100%-- but it was still a yank comparable to if his leg were tied to a rabid Kath Hound. At best he would see the man topple over, and at worse he would make it nigh impossible to aim as Laeonas half ran, half limped to close the 20 meter gap between them.

Of course, the sorcerer had crafted a way to avoid a majority of the heat from his flamethrower. His disgust with how they fought grew each time he encountered one. Interestingly, Nox was able to see with his landing that because of the barrier, the Jedi would be rooted in place, his back turned towards the Mandalorian while he attempted to reinforce his protection. The Solus wanted to test exactly how strong it was.

When his feet touched the ground, instead of switching weapons, Nox activated his flamethrower without hesitation as he took a step forward. With that, the flames would fully envelop the shield in a ball of intense fire. It would require the Jedi to remain where he was and continue to project the barrier unless he wanted to be roasted as there was there wouldn't be a break in the flames.

As he had taken that step forward as well, Nox transitioned his beskad from his right hand to his left with practiced ease, holding the blade horizontally underneath the flames. His hand would then quickly draw the pistol out of his holster, all the while he timed his second capsule. When it ejected, the Mandalorian would immediately slam his finger down on the button again, the flames once more spewing out without hesitation and without pause to swarm the Knight in unbearable heat he got a taste of.

With the new and last capsule, Nox held his left arm steady and aimed the blaster with his right, his thumb switching the weapon to stun as he knew one of the Jedi's favorite tricks. As the flames continued to cascade down on Zerath, the trigger of the peacemaker would be pulled as three stun bolts would mix in with the flames to hit the shield. It would just add to the unrelenting assault the sorcerer would have to defend against.

With his injury and the need to constantly project it unless he wanted to suffer more severe burns, it would add to the drain that the power required to be kept up and most likely fatigue him. Even when the capsule would run out, Nox would fire a couple more times, one of the bolts aimed higher than the other but still striking against the Knight's spine and ready to connect almost instantly with the short distance if he dropped the shield.

If the Knight managed to turn around and make it through all of that, then he would find the Solus still standing there but ready to react to anything, painted in blood crimson and with a glinting beskad in his hand made of flesh rendering metal. Nox wasn't afraid to be close and he just waited to see the condition of the Jedi.

While the stun bolts distracted Laeo, Fenyang began his charge again towards the man. He held his carbine high with both hands as he ran, leaning forward while moving to shrink his frame again. Fenyang had not expected the Jedi be able to move, let alone roll, with his injured leg; maybe they truly did have potential as warriors. But, they were all too reliant on their sorcery and catlike acrobatics. By the time Laeo recovered from his roll, slowed by his nearly-destroyed leg, Fenyang fired another shot at him, aiming again for his injured leg. He brought his aim up to fire again at the Jedi's chest, adding a second shot to his volley. He expected the Jedi could bat it away easily enough, but he hoped the concentration needed to deflect a blaster bolt would inhibit his ability to use his sorcery.

While this happened, he noted the gunfire from Senator Starros's peashooter, the blaster bolts fading out ineffectually before they ever reached his position. Had he ever shot a gun before, Fenyang wondered.

He was mid-stride towards Laeo when the Jedi did his next trick. His right foot was caught, dragged in front of him. He had to sacrifice his aim on the Jedi just to avoid totally falling, which he managed to do by planting his dragged leg into the ground, creating a rather wide lunge. He took to a kneel from there, dropping his left knee to the ground as the Jedi limped forward. It was a stable position, able to absorb the recoil of his next move. He didn't have enough time to aim his carbine again as the Jedi hobbled forwards, but he didn't need to. Mandalorians have their own tricks.

He pointed his left fist forwards, in the Jedi's direction, while his right hand curled tighter around the carbine. With his balled fist, he crossed his right hand overtop his left, and slammed the button to activate his repulser on his left gauntlet. As both he and Jedi had spent the last few seconds charging right for each other, he was now within the weapon's effective range of 10 meters, but still outside the Jedi's lightsaber range. He aimed the blast towards the Jedi's weakened legs, to finish breaking them, though the general arc of the repulser gauntlet was wide enough that it would capture his stomach and chest if he took the blast head-on.

With the Jedi caught between his injury, his magic, and crossfire, Fenyang doubted that he could so rapidly move against the blast of energy that propelled out of his out of his gauntlet. His whole body shook from the explosion of energy, luckily though, the Jedi had helped to pull him into a stable position. His left foot was still live, ready to spring him forwards or sideways into action, if needed. Hopefully, the powerful gust of energy aimed squarely at the Jedi's heavy injury would be enough to subdue the young warrior.

Gett'se's shots flew true, his eyes following them through his scope as the first three bolts slammed into the Jedi one after another. He dropped like a sack of rocks to the ground and Gett'se found himself watching his last bolt fly past to be absorbed by White-blades lightsaber before dodging a fifth. He hadn't remembered firing a fifth shot. Perhaps the rifles trigger had grown too sensitive and needed retuning.

Regardless, he shifted his aim, leading as the Jedi (@Tom ) came out of his roll. He squeezed off a stun bolt aimed at the Jedi's right abdomen before flicking his crosshairs up to line them right on the jedi's face, squeezing off a shot right as he made eye contact with the Jedi through his scope. the two stun shots raced across the battlefield. Raising his visor above the brim of his scope to survey the carnage for a moment, Gett'se spotted the Mand'alor charging at the Jedi with his own blaster himself.

His attention was drawn to the side by a flamethrower flowing around an obscured figure, blocked by some sort of sorcerous barrier, most likely the Jedi Gett'se had seen Nox Solus fighting earlier. He shifted his left hand off the grip of his rifle for a moment, sliding down to press a button on his right gauntlet, then returned his grip to his rifle as his jetpack roared and he soared 15 meters into the air, tilting his body forwards and to the right towards a pair of decorative trees.

Rolling slightly to align his rifle as he reached the treeline, he curved his flight pattern to clear Nox out of his firing line before squeezing the trigger, as he aimed at the Jedi's (@SlagathorTheUnknown ) torso from his left, assuming he was still facing the same direction from where he started. He continued to curve the tree line before coming to a hover with the tallest tree top 5 meters down and 10 meters to his right. He applied pressure to the trigger again as he fired another stun bolt down at the Jedi from his front left aimed at his shoulder as the last burst of the flamethrower came to an end.

Gasping and kicking away from the Ranger he had managed to tackle into taking two shots from his blaster pistol, Arthos reached up with his left hand to tear his helmet from his head and let it fall from his grip. The stun baton to the helmet hadn’t managed to affect him through the beskar of the helmet over such a short period of time but it did a number on the electronic features of his helmet – such as the rebreather.

Rebreather malfunctions were not fun.

Free from his helmet, Arthos blasted himself both forward and up in an arch to avoid the blasting occurring behind him and to get a better target on someone he really wanted to shoot. Curving to the left in his flight, he crossed over the fountain to hover closer to the pillar.

Flicking his pistol into stun mode as he levelled out, Arthos visibly scowled as he drew on Starros. From his angle he could clearly see the senator peaking out from his cover, which was not giving him full cover from Arthos' new position anyway. Opening fire with two shots aimed at the senator's torso, Arthos regretted only that Mand'alor would want him alive and that meant Arthos wouldn't get the satisfaction of killing a man who's government policies had been choking Mandalore for decades.

Hovering in the air as he was, he was enough of a target so he came down for a landing where he was, where he would immediately take another shot at Sarros just in case the other shots hadn't finished the Senator. He was prepared for the man to put up a fight, however, so landed lightly on his feet, ready to spring into action if needed.

Rayyan couldn’t deny being caught off guard by the sudden and abrupt Force push from Gabriel - feeling as the sudden burst of energy collided with his torso, only moments after the Kryze activated his jetpack and fired the first two shots from his blaster pistols.

While knocked off his original trajectory, Rayyan watched as his own blaster bolts were deflected away - giving Gett’se the opening to land two clear shots on the Padawan - incapacitating and removing him entirely from the fight.

Unfortunately, Rayyan still had to deal with being blown backwards by the Padawan. The combination of the Force push and his own jetpack thrusters sent the Kryze sailing through the air like a balloon venting its own air - a long cry filling the air as he carved careened backwards.

Luckily for Rayyan, the thrusters of his jetpack were successful in carrying the Mandalorian not just backwards, but up as well. He gained several feet of altitude, and rather than slamming his neck into the tree branch as originally intended, the Kryze was instead sent directly into the canopy of the decorative tree - knocking his helmet several times against various different tree branches before slamming shoulder-first into the truck of the tree itself - a wave of fallen leaves heralding his impact.

“Ughhh..” He groaned out in pain, taking but a moment to simply linger sprawled out in the trees - hit head spinning a bit from the impact.

It only took Rayyan a moment more to force himself back to his feet - pushing through the pronounced ache that radiated out from his shoulder. Shaking his head, Rayyan pressed down the button on his gauntlet and ignited his jetpack once again, carrying his armored body out of the trees and into the air.

Hovering roughly ten meters above the ground, Rayyan leaned his body forward and began to sail across the city square - his eyes flicking rapidly across the enemies still standing.

It didn’t take the Kryze to spot the Mand’alor amongst the throngs, and he quickly focused his attention onto the Jedi who was fighting him.

Rayyan raises both blaster pistols and leveled them on the Brentaalan Jedi, just as he came down for a landing positioned to the right and slightly behind him, roughly twenty meters away. Just as the Mand’alor dropped down to one knee, Rayyan pulled the triggers of his blaster pistols on rapid succession - sending a volley of three yellow plasma bolts arcing through the air towards him - two of them aimed for the Jedi’s legs while the third was positioned to strike him directly in the chest.

Regretably the noble Mandalor (@Fine Dining Set) ignored Staross brave and gallant attempt to attract his ire, something the venerable Senator would make sure to remind him of when he ended his life later in the battle. However, one of the tyrant's pawns was not so cowardly. Rayyan (@Altaris) was targeting the Brentaalan Jedi with both blasters, and, unfortunately for Rayyan, that placed him within range of Senator Starros.

He needed to get closer, and avoid the incoming attacks from his jetpack borne assistant, Arthos, so he darted from his pillar to a position to his left namely, behind a large ornamental bush - hugging the pillar and ensuring it was kept between him and the incoming shots as he did so. Skittering over, he dropped into cover behind the bush and switched targets. Starros aimed at the Mandalorian and fired three shots. Three shots of brilliant white energy loosed across the air between them, aimed for Rayyans mid-drift, as Starros snapped the blasts off with precision. Contrary to popular belief, the Senator had used a blaster before, and now was his chance to showcase his skills.

His shots fired, he ducked back behind his new best friend, the Bushy McBush, and remained there.

Zerath was firmly on the defensive as the Mandalorian swooped in, flamethrower blazing. The armored warrior landed behind Zerath, which was not a big deal to the Jedi because he was projecting his Force Barrier in a sphere around himself. In addition, the Mandalorian landing behind him would not get the satisfaction of seeing Zerath’s face- the Jedi Knight was fully capable of defending against this attack without facing his adversary.

Zerath was, however, tired of being on defense, and maintaining the Force Barrier was straining even for a Jedi Knight whose use of smaller applications of the Force (namely, Force Sight) was as regular as breathing. It also was a bit of a stalemate, if he could maintain his barrier... a steadily-growing if, as more and more attention was drawn his way.

The Mandalorian’s decision to stay in one place while continuing the assault, however, would play right into Zerath’s hands, and when the Mandalorian stepped forward to try and get the flames to wash over the Force Barrier, Zerath sprung his trap.

Already concentrating on the Barrier, the Jedi Knight simply tweaked its shape from a bubble surrounding him to a smaller concave shield facing the Mandalorian as the man started his second capsule. Where the warrior had intended to wash the flames over Zerath, the Mandalorian would now find the flames redirected towards the edges of the barrier and back at the source- pouring out at Nox's knees and head instead of the Jedi's body. The flames at the top of the shield might even cut off a simple escape via jetpack if Zerath was lucky. The effect would be practically instantaneous, given the close range, and with the man’s right hand reaching for his pistol he wouldn’t be able to immediately toggle the button to turn the flames off. The barrier would also be able to absorb the stun bolts if the Mandalorian was dead set on firing them while being on the receiving end of his own flamethrower. As he began redirecting the flames back at the Mandalorian, Zerath would turn around; a simple pivot in his defensive stance, 180 degrees, would allow him to face his adversary. The Jedi struck quite the picture; right foot forward, knees bent, and a brilliant smile on his face.

Zerath didn’t think that the Mandalorian would be content to sit there and be roasted alive, though, so he would only project the barrier while the Mandalorian continued to stay within flamethrower range- angling it as needed to keep it between his adversary and himself. The change to the smaller barrier had the bonus of reducing the amount of strain he felt sustaining it, as he had less area to cover. It also allowed him to reignite his lightsaber, which was still in his right hand, without fear of it compromising his barrier; this would be used for defense should any shots be fired once the barrier went down.

A soon as Laeo came out of the roll, he realized his allies were either dropping or badly hurt. This made him a very obvious target. Instead of giving chase, he abruptly dropped to a crouch to make himself a smaller target. As a result, the stun bolts from Gett’se just barely brushed over his head, the abdomen one grazing almost dangerously close to his head. His focus, for now, remained on Mandalore as Gett’se shifted focus away from him.

Since he saw the Mandalorian level and fire his rifle in full view, it was more than enough warning for him to react. From his crouched position, he was able to swing his saber to deflect both bolts and send them laterally up and forward. The bolts would fly up to be right in Rayyan’s path if he kept up with his flight trajectory. Laeo applied the Force yank on the Mandalorian's leg, pulling his calf and watching the success of his actions. As soon as the man lowered down to one knee, Laeo acted fast. Before the repulsor or subsequent shots ever came off, he capitalized on the Force grip he had on the leg. He yanked with unnatural might forward and to Mandalore’s right.

This meant that the leg was harshly yanked right out of its socket, the lateral force working against Fenyang down on one knee. The result was a very violent and brutal split that would not only dislocate the right leg, but also shred through the groin muscles. The pain would be blinding and he would be immobilized from doing anything. The effort would also force him to slump over towards the ground so if he still launched the repulse, it’d be against the ground and acting as an opposing force to where Laeo was yanking his leg with the Force, effectively causing himself even further injury.

If Rayyan remained uninterrupted, Laeo would spring forward from where he was crouched since all three shots were coming in from his side which made him a much smaller target. The shots would whizz by behind him, though one would graze badly against his back. This would force him to release the man, but not before the severe damage was done to his leg.

Gett'se watched his shots fly as the Jedi's barrier lost its spherical aura to concave in a single direction towards Nox. He couldn't see the barrier itself, but his view of the flames from his vantage meant that he saw the flames that had washed around the Jedi redirect in the opposite direction to wash towards Nox. The Jedi had turned as well, putting his right side to Gett'se. While he had brought his green lightsaber out once more, he made no move to defend himself as the stun bolts slammed into his torso and shoulder. His body would go limp as the wavy blue bolts did their duty and he would fall to the ground like a bag of rocks similarly to the martial artist Jedi. Out cold.

The Mandalorian could only assume that his maneuver with the shield had been an effort to turn Nox's attack back against him in order to conserve his mystical energy, whatever it was that allowed the Jedi to use their sorcery. In doing so he had left himself exposed to Gett'se on his now right flank, likely too preoccupied with maintaining the shield with his burnt hand to be able to react to the flying riflemando's shots.

If the Jedi was truly downed, Gett'se would swoop down to a quick hover before landing next to the fallen Jedi. He would claim the Jedi's lightsaber as a trophy, and he didn't trust a Solus not to steal it for his own. He would watch the white-bladed Jedi as the next few moments of battle played out, and would aim his rifle at the unconscious green bladed Jedi's chest and switch his rifle to lethal while he did so. His finger rested on the trigger, just short of applying enough pressure to shoot into the Jedi's chest. If the other Jedi tried any sorcery to turn his barrel, he would be faced with the guilt of shooting his own ally.

"White-blade!" He would yell above the din of battle in basic if the Jedi remained standing. "You have fought! But this day belongs to the Children of Mandalore" He wasn't going to add "well", in truth he was disappointed for more than one reason in the Jedi's showing in this battle. Both because they had folded so quickly, and because he hadn't had a chance to meet them blade to blade. Next time.

"Surrender yourself and your lightsaber, and this Jedi may live." If the Jedi didn't quickly do as he was ordered, Gett'se would pull the trigger and fire a burning red bolt of energized particles into the fallen Jedi's chest. He wanted to see which the Jedi would sacrifice, his ally or his honor.
