The Simulator

This thread is a WIP- it will receive an overhaul when I've figured it out. Until then:

Every officer of the armed forces will have to go through a training simulator. Upon acceptance, please PM your officer (most likely me) with a request for training.

Please detail which type of training you prefer:

Navy
Capital Ship Warfare
Defense
Starfighter Combat (Command- squadron based or fleet based)
Support and Deployment

Army
Ground Combat (Command- fireteam based or battlefield based)
Aerial Support/Atmospheric Combat
Special Conditions (ocean, mountain, swamp)
Support and Defense


If a training you want isn't on the list, request it and I'll make it happen, the above list is just to set an example.

Once I've been notified, you will make a thread detailing your introduction. It will take place in a Simulation Chamber on Csilla described here:

"Although I'm sure you have received sufficient documentation about the Simulator's operations, the instructions are quite simple. Your station is linked to dozens of pilots in similar simulators, filling out their roles as pilots, as gunners, as starfighter commanders. Your voice will reach both living tissue and artificial intelligence- the commands will be executed similar to in a real battle. This means the Simulator may account for a Captain's mistake, a pilot's heavy triggerfinger. Count on it."

It will be taking place in the same simulator referenced in the other threads: a large circular chamber with a massive holoprojector.

This training thread will make you eligible for command while determining your maximum rank and ideal position. If you have a preference, please make it known, although be aware you may have to work towards a specific position or rank.
