DESCRIPTION​

The Silver Bolide is, as far as its current pilot can tell, a custom-made starfighter of indeterminate age, discovered by up-and-coming archaeologist and pilot Trini Halrixien during an otherwise disastrous expedition to the planet Raxus Prime. Trini discovered the antique vessel while fleeing bandits who had slaughtered the other members of her team, having been saved by it when the ship's barely functional pilot droid misidentified her as its returning master and fired the fighter's weapons at her pursuers. The young Amaran subsequently repaired the old ship's flight systems, and made her way to a nearby settlement, which she defended from subsequent bandit attacks with the help of several other travelers.

The exact age of the Silver Bolide is hard to determine, given the custom nature of its design, but Trini theorizes that it at least predates the Clone Wars. The ship is a two-seat design, with tandem pilot and passenger positions; the pilot is located up front, with the passenger sitting behind, although the passenger seat is enclosed by the ship's fuselage, limiting visibility. The design notably includes a socket for an astromech droid or similar model inside the ship's cockpit, located just ahead of the front seat, although recessed in such a way that it does not impede visibility. As Trini found it, the Silver Bolide is capable of 90 MGLT and has decent maneuverability, with armament consisting of 4 light laser cannons in the nose and a 4-shot concussion missile launcher.

LEGALITY​

Indeterminate. Being a fully custom design which apparently predates Imperial and New Republic ship registries, authorities are often unsure how to treat this vessel.
