Next week's episode of Rebels is called "The Protector of Concord Dawn" and introduces more Mandalorians into the show. There's a preview clip in this week's Rebels Recon:

Second clip drops a major bomb-shell on Sabine's backstory. Didn't expect it.

Post-Episode Rebels Recon *SPOILERS IN VIDEO*

Touches heavily on the Mandalorians, structure, family/clan and all that good stuff. Very enlightening (like the Mandalorians having a lot of power in the Senate because they are so militaristic, and a puppet Imperially sympathetic Mandalore). As well as a little on those Hammer-heads from the last episode. The whole time I watched this I was like "Ooooh, I can't wait for the Mandos on SWRP to see this!".

All and all, the episode was pretty disappointing though. The episode itself did very little to expand on Mando stuff, just sort of set precedence of the Mandalorians. I could of completely missed this episode and still wouldn't gained just about the same amount of information as watching it. Unless the Mandos do come into more importance later (which is what I'm betting on given the Rebels recon stuff), still didn't do much for me. 7/10 on cause Mandos. Loved how much they're hard-headed just like in the EU and RP'ers.

Agreed that it isn't the most informative episode but we were introduced to a new character. I think it sets a background story for more mando coming later. Plus we heard she was House Vizla before, so it's not too new that she is related to Death Watch. We'll see where they go from here. Looking forward to the temple guards, maul, and the holocron...

All I have to say...

Bastard stole my name.

:p

EDIT: So apparently myself and a bunch of other people heard an invisible "L" when they said Fenn Rau. Now I must change the spelling of Ral but keep the pronunciation the same! Either way, I am excited to see what else this will do for the Mandos, and will definitely be taking these revelations into account for this timeline.

So the hierarchy is:

Mandalore
The Protectors
Heads of Houses
Heads of Clans
Members of Houses

?

There is no "Mandalore" per say. There's a ruler of the planet Mandalore. Canonically the only rulers of Mandalore we've seen are Duchess Satine, Pre Vizsla (for like 5 minutes), and Darth Maul. Neither Vizsla nor Maul used the title Mandalore, and the title of Mandalore has never been referenced in canon either.

So the hierarchy would be more like:

- Duchess/Duke, with the Protectors serving as the guards of the Mandalorian ruler
- Prime Minister
- Heads of Houses
- Heads of Clans
- Members of Clans

In regards to the episode, I enjoyed it. Pretty good start to a wider Mandalorian arc, and a kickoff to more character development for Sabine. I especially liked the emphasis on diplomacy over killing. For the first time, Kanan really felt like he was starting to become a Jedi again, while maintaining his more cowboyish elements.

It was a good episode. Interesting stuff with the Mandalorians, though I wonder if it's going to go through the madness it went through with The Clone Wars.

I do like how it somewhat tied into with the latest comic issue of Kanan, about the Third Battle of Mygeeto.

It was cool that the comic came out on the same day. Anyone who knows Marvel's publishing schedule knows that was nothing short of a miracle.

So with this in play where would the Senators from each of these Mandalorian planets come in the high hierarchy of things

So far we've only seen three Mandalorian planets - Mandalore, Kalevala, and Concord Dawn. Concord Dawn is a relatively ruined world, so there wouldn't be a senator from there.

How the senator of Kalevala fits in, I don't know. It's possible that senator, like Tal Merrik, is the senator of the entire Mandalore system, meaning they represent Mandalore too. Because we never saw a senator of Mandalore in TCW. After Tal Merrik was revealed as a traitor and was killed, Satine was the one who spoke on behalf of the Mandalorians in the Senate.

What about the Mandalorian Senator who had a speech prepared for the senate and then was assassinated before he could give the speech? And then a segment of the recorded speech was played to favor palpatines agenda?

Finally got to see it and holy cow it did the culture justice! I really got a thrill out of the Protector's gear, looks alot different than DW or BF/JF's gear (Yes I know that the Protectors have flight gear on but still I loved their designs)

Also, Kalevala? I bring Shame to my Vod for not knowing of this planet, enlighten me masters lol

But yeah, though we didn't get a lot of info on Mandos, it did give us just enough to wait for the next episode :D all in all I loved the show and I'm looking forward to seeing how the pan out. As of right now, all signs show positive :P
