Algent Elus understood what Force Sense was supposed to do. Once learned, Algent was expected to use the ability like all of his other senses. The ability could not only sense other presences, but also danger and the very environment. The Padawan closed his eyes as he attempted to use this sixth sense. He could not get it to work for him. Algent was concentrating so hard that he stopped breathing. When he stopped breathing for a period of time, his hearing was dulled to the point he could not hear a lot of the ambiance. Algent held his breath for as long as he could before he needed air. With his sudden gasp of air Algent snapped open his eyes and took in all the sound he had been without. The Force flooded his being as he entered into a state of heightened senses. It lasted for a few moments and then it vanished. In the time he was in this state he could sense the organisms around him, feel the environment, and see directly through the trees. He had entered into the state of Force Sense for a moment.
"Master, I think I got it," stated the Padawan Learner, "I lost it after a minute though."
