Lorcan was getting used to not carrying a weapon at his side these days but it was still something that left him feeling a little exposed. Waiting in the entrance hall of the residence of a dead man wasn't the most comfortable he could ever be either he would freely admit to himself. But the lack of weapons didn't mean that he was helpless he had to remind himself - despite everything he was currently stood in the entrance hall of a well-guarded home.

He didn't need to be so defensive... probably.

Taking the job had been the easy part but now came the part where he actually had to do the work and he was excited for it, albeit in an overly cautious kind of way all things considered. Considering the reward money on offer and her area of expertise, he had reached out to Doc to see if she wanted to come in on this with him and she had seemed open to the idea.

And then he'd put out what amounted to a "help wanted" ad amongst some of his old contacts and someone had agreed they wanted their share of the money too and would be there to work with them. He had no idea who the hell the woman was but he just hoped he wasn't going to end up regretting asking to do some work with someone he'd met over the holonet.

... he was going to have to keep an eye on his kidneys wasn't he?

Kark if he annoyed Doc anymore than he usually did she would probably help perform the procedure to harvest his kidneys.

Going it alone certainly did blow! Ever since she had parted ways with the last freighter crew she worked with on Roonadan, biting the bullet in a bid to help out a wounded Jedi Knight by dumping near enough all the money she had on her own little freighter. It seemed that from there on out the ship was just never ending expenses, fuel, maintenance, more fuel landing fees oh and funnily enough more fuel! The life of adventure she had left the Order for certainly taking its sweet kriffing time to pick up momentum, especially when trying to fly right and earn a legit pocket of change.

The odd job running goods was one thing, but often yielded just enough to cover the running costs. And maybe a cheeky treat. But work that came through from Sector rangers? That was a different ball game, certainly was lucrative, but often at a high risk of everything getting hot and hostile in a heart beat. Doing freelance piloting work for the Rangers was certainly dangerous, but it sure to kriff was fun!

Stepping down the last flight of stairs, the fiery haired female paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing as she got trapped in her thoughts for a moment. This was certainly not going to be one of the run of the mill free agent jobs, going by the location she was given to meet at. The area ooozed with the wealth of the Coruscant elite, which with the rather stereotypical space farer garb she was wearing - coupled with the extensive amount of cybernetics over the left side of her body, Eisa was starting to feel like she would stick out like a bantha in a litter of loth cats.

Still despite her appearance clashing so violently with the tasteful trappings of her surroundings, the fiery haired female approached the entrance lobby for the residence she was to meet her contact at, carrying nothing but a stun baton and her bright demeanor, the figure appeached the human male standing at the entrance. "You must be Lorcan, I'm guessing" Eisa spoke out as she approached.

She supposed it was only a matter of time until someone else would need her expertise. She wasn't surprised when she got a call in. However, she was very surprised that it was Lorcan, and Lorcan acting as a civilian. It seemed he followed through on his convictions after all, and opened up his own branch of justice. She was already in the area treating another patient, so it was a simple jump over.

However, she wasn't going to simply make an appearance in surgical dress. That would be rude of her.

When she strode in, long white hair was pulled into a ponytail, accentuating the sharp angles of her features and bringing to light the striking, analytical hardness of amber eyes. She was dressed in a professional suit, the blaster vest beneath providing a modicum of stealthy protection, and her stun always holstered in a rig beneath her jacket.

No matter where in the galaxy, the Good Doctor always came in prepared for the worst of things.

Amber eyes looked over the now very-visible face of Lorcan with a subtle nod.. and then his new accomplice. Her gaze swept the woman head to foot, and she tilted her head slightly, her expression remote, a mask of calm.
"And you must be the third member, miss...?" she inclined her head, allowing the young woman to introduce herself to her as well.

The entrance hall reminded her of Chateau Vidalis, so much so she would have half-expected her mother to come sweeping through, a glass in one hand and the latest intrigues of galactic politics poisonously perfuming the air around her. But it wasn't her place, and this wasn't the time for such... fond... memories. Instead she turned to the task at hand, her black bag at her side.

"You rang?" she spoke in a dryly sardonic tone, chin tilted to survey the former Ranger. At least he wasn't an ugly P.I. Then she'd be obligated to charge him double.

Lorcan stared at the young woman in her odd clothing for a moment. She... she looked like a Sassy Lost Child with access to hair dyes and a lack of parental supervision. He didn't know if that was because he was just surprised by her appearance or if he was actually beginning to get too old to relate to the youth of the day. Was this what it felt like to realize that you were old? To look at a person younger than you and not have the slightest clue what in the ever-loving-kark was going through their minds when they dressed themselves in the morning?

... he was doing better for having kept that rant internal rather than just blurting it out right in her face like he would have done before. Small improve for sure but better than no improvement right? Right? Oh shite if he knew, he was just wanting to get through this investigation with as little hassle as possible so he could get paid.

"Yeah I'm Lorcan, you must be Eisa."
he greeted her, "We're just waiting for Doc and when she's here they'll let us into the office he died in so we can investigate."

Stuffing his hands into the pockets of his armour's jacket (though he had left the helmet in his ship), he watched as Doc sauntered in like she owned the place. It was odd to see someone he knew was more down to earth acting like she belonged in this type of place. Odd but he wasn't going to pretend it wasn't something new to learn about her.

"Figured the death of a medical CEO by his own product might fit your wheelhouse."
he admitted to her as the doors to the office were opened for them and they stepped inside, "Initial CSI was performed by the local PD but they put everything back where it was upon the insistence of the client. We've got the room for the time being so... how do you two want to proceed? Don't suppose either of you can do that Force thing that lets you see the past?"

A broad grin crossing her features as Lorcan responded in kind to her greeting, her cybernetic arm raising up to the side of her head to offer a quick casual wink being directed towards the other female in the party - as Lorcan had sped up the introductions and announced who she was. Before flicking her raised hand in an informal salute to the pair, one that would have been more suited if she was wearing one of them fancy rimmed hats like those frontier world bounty hunters - yet alas she was not in possession of such a hat, might be something to possibly invest in, the fiery haired female pondered to herself.

Following towards the rear of the group as they entered into the property, Eisa's eyes narrowed as she surveyed her surroundings - keeping an open ear for the initial tag line of the scenario they were facing coming from Lorcan. Her lips pursing in thought for a moment as she took in the interior decor, before a light whistle passed through her lips as the doors were opened to the study where presumably the CEO had popped his clogs. "Some swanky digs this place is" she muttered to herself before stepping off to the side a little from the group to lean over and take a close look at a white marble statue.

Her ears picking up at the mention of a Force technique that would allow the wielder to read and visualise the imprints of the Force from it's recent past, an eyebrow arching up inquisitively as to how a Former Sector ranger come private investigator had come to learn of a typically Jedi Technique. "Depends on how clean the imprint is" Eisa commented, almost absent minded as she stood up right and moved away from the ornate marble statue, her emerald gaze turning over towards the others as realisation had set in that she had answered the man's question - to a degree. "If the coppers, touched anything with a strong enough thought or emotion, they might have tainted the imprint that the Force had left on the object" She added to give a bit of clarification , with a light shrug as she made her way towards where the rest were standing near the large antique dark wooden desk that commanded the centre of the study, her eyes moving away from the gaze of the Doctor and Lorcan down to the offending bacta patch.

Pursing her lips in thought, as she tilted her head to the side slightly, before reaching down and extending the pinky finger of her cybernetic limb - so that it pressed upon the coagulated bacta gel. Once a small globule of the fluid had stuck to the chassis of her artificial limb, it raised back up to wards the pilots face, her eyes narrowing as she sniffed the Bacta residue atop her finger for a moment before sticking it into her mouth to taste it. Her eyes narrowing as she processed the flavour and taste of the healing gel in her mouth. "It ain't the Bacta" Eisa announced with a grin before pointing at the patch. "Nothings been mixed in with it"

Doc could feel a headache coming on already.

Amber eyes stared in mild disbelief as the girl just up and popped a fingerful of bacta straight into her mouth, and briefly considered just turning around and walking out the door, leaving Lorcan to follow this girl and her madness. Though then again, maybe he liked that low level of high-energy insanity. She would judge, but save it until later. For now she simply closed her eyes a second, pinching the bridge of her nose with a thumb and forefinger.

"...No, I cannot do that 'Force-thing'," she sighed, setting down her medical bag with an air of the beleaguered medical professional. She slipped on gloves, stalking over to the desk and eyeing where the man had died. The patch was still there, with the small imprint of the girl's finger. Internally, she grimaced at her even putting that in her mouth in the first place; who knew what could have been there, or where the cut was?

Instead she pulled out her analysis scanner, sweeping it over the patch. Absently, she frowned at the readings; though it was normal, there was a whisper of something else tugging at her mind, luring her thoughts away from simple analysis. She glanced over, then towards the chair... then the rest of the room, beginning a slow circle around the rest of the room.

"The body.." she rasped, glancing to Lorcan.

"What do you know of it? Where the cut was, if there was any chem analysis of the wound itself?"
Chances were, he wasn't briefed personally, and if that was the case, they would probably have to go to the Ranger morgue. Not something she anticipated, really. She had nothing against dead bodies... it was being surrounded by such 'good ol' boys' that would be the biggest trial. Not that this wasn't a trial already.

The fake arm was a nice touch - really completed the look that this over-active child was probably not one to be trusted with weaponry. If he had to guess he would say that she had probably lost her arm doing something stupid with something sharp. Though, admittedly, that was mainly based on the fact that most maimings he had seen in the Force were of the same kind.

Ugh... why did he bring up the Force again? Right because it was bullshit just how bloody useful the damned shite was and he didn't have the budget the Rangers had to kind counter or match. He shook his head a little bit, already wanting a drink.

"Right so the child can but the doctor can't - notes for later."
he admitted mostly to himself, "See what you can 'feel' out then kid. Maybe focus around the desk? He died there apparently."

Opening a datapad, he opened up the notation section, flicking through it almost like an old flat-foot would flip through a pad of notes.

"Right so a buddy of mine worked the case so I picked up his notes - knife wound, barely worth adding bacta to due to the size or depths but vic wanted to. Middle chest, just left of the heart and bacta patch applied there originally."
he flicked through some more, "The patch was on the floor and the wound exposed when the body was found but the toxin screen says there were impurities in the bacta that he reacted badly to."

He frowned ever so slightly.

"But the patch would have been applied three days ago and that..."
he pointed to the still kind of soggy bacta on the bandage, "Isn't dried out yet. Two days ago the guy dies and now, a day later, we're here and the patch is still kind of wet? That normal? For something like this not to dry out over at least three days?"

Nodding in acknowledgement of Lorcan's request, Eisa reached a hand into the collar of her top, and retrieved the small crystaline pendant that had been concealed under her top. Before slowly circling around the desk, her mind reaching out into the Force and her Kyber crystal to try and get a read as to where there was enough of disturbance or blot in the currents of the Force that lingered from the death of the CEO. Her gaze moving away from her prowling survey of the desk and the surrounding clutter back to the male, a light shrug rolling on her shoulders as he questioned whether it was normal for bacta patches to be to wet after several days. "Dunno, only know the stuff that gets pumped through tanks" she muttered absent mindedly in response, before returning her attention back towards the desk - well more importantly chair that was sat behind it.

Something in the Force was drawing her to the chair for some reason, there was a dark taint in the air that lingered around it. Carefuly unclasping the pendant at the back of her neck, the fiery haired freelancer then held the crystal within her remaining natural hand before reaching out towards the chair. Taking a few deep breaths, Eisa slowly closed her eyes as she concentrated on shutting out the distractions of the outside world around her as she tried to focus in on her minds eye and reach into and read the currents of the Force.

Gradually the ticking sound from the antique clock grew slower and distant, as the surroundings fell into a slight haze. Slowly as she reopened her eyes, the former padawan could see the blurred form of an aged looking man sitting in the chair at the desk, seemingly focused on what was infront of him. Yet there was something off in what she was perceiving, the force that was surrounding this man was steadily growing dark, narrowing her gaze Eisa in her trance like state shot her head round to the side to hone in on the source of the approaching darkness. "There's someone else here" she murmured as she took a few blind steps backwards, almost bumping into Lorcan.

The cybernetic limb pointing towards the floor behind the chair, tracking the movements of the dark presence in the Force she was seeing as it drew closer towards the blurred figure sat at the desk, the Force was reacting darkly around the approaching presence, much in the same way that it would when someone had the firm intent to kill - as the unknown presence closed in and seemingly plunged a balled hand down towards the man's side, Eisa snapped out of her trance with a sudden shake of her head.

Taking a few deep panting breaths, the fiery haired female blinked her eyes a few times as she tried to adjust the focus of her natural vision. "There was someone else" Eisa spoke out as she turned to address Lorcan and the Doctor, her arm pointing out at the spot she ad subconciously indicated before hand. "The figure moved in from behind, whilst the CEO guy was sat at his desk. It didn't look like he was aware of the other person" she continued before pursing her lips trying to recall and get some conscious clarity on her vision. "it kinda looked like this person was reaching around to hug from behind, but it's left hand was balled like it was holding something" she added, before gesturing the motion with her arms, her right open palmed hand moving towards her mouth whilst her cybernetic hand made a stabbing motion towards her chest, sweeping in from the side.

Her eyes tracked the girl's movements with a sudden, keen interest. So that explained the headache... she wasn't like Kai or Hal were. Her feeling was different... and seeing the crystal confirmed it. Eyes slanted towards Lorcan with a thinning of her lips; did he think it was funny to bring along a young girl-woman attuned to the Force to make her feel inadequate? Perhaps so, he could be that bastardly sometimes. Instead she shook her head about the patch.

"No. Normally it would be dried out... which means that wasn't why he died." Her voice was flat, emotionless, but seeing the girl go into detail about a murder made her frown. "If he was attacked from behind, surely there would have been more wounds present," she muttered, typing away on her datapad.

The headache was getting worse, now. She grimaced, rubbing at her temples. Something was disturbing her about this space... just what, she had no idea. It was starting to really annoy her.

Someone was behind the guy when he died huh? That would make sense if this case was actually a murder like the client seemed to think but he wasn't convinced yet. There were signs that this wasn't as clear cut as it appeared but right now they had a corpse in the city morgue with only one wound and toxicology reports that confirmed a toxin had entered his system.

A toxin the lab techs were saying was found within the bacta applied to the wound, causing the company to hemorrhage credits because their product was deemed as defective, dangerous. He moved over to the desk slowly before deciding he needed a change in perceptive and he pulled the chair back slightly before sitting in it and arranging it precisely as it had been before.

He waved a hand at Eisa.

"Kid... approach me from behind as if you're going to lay something over my heart."

Holding his arms out, he frowned as he mimed typing away at a holo-keyboard. One was in place at the desk but it was unresponsive as the company was unwilling to let them have access to their secure network. He frowned deeply.

"I would know you were there before you arrived but..."
he eyed Doc for a second, "Who do injured people not guard themselves against? Who could gain access?"

He pointed to Doc.

"Medical personnel maybe?"

Cocking her head to the side, the fiery haired pilot cast a bemused expression towards the request made by the former sector ranger, before a wide grin crossed her features. "Such a charmer, do you get all the ladies with that line?" Eisa questioned with a teasing tone to her words, before stepping closer to oblige the request. Waiting a moment for Lorcan to sit down and get into character, tapping away at the deactivated holo-terminal keyboard, closing her eyes as she slowed down her breathing to try and focus her mind on recollecting the actions she had seen from her vision.

Opening her eyes, the young former Jedi, slightly exhaled before slowly stooping her posture, adopting an almost stealthy stance - something that had it not been for the outlandish bright hue of her orange hair or her industrial yellow cybernetics, might of looked convincing. Slowly and silently she paced closer towards Lorcan as he sat at the desk, doing her best to replicate the motions and movements she had observed by the shadowy figure in her vision. Closing the distance between herself and the investigator, until her right hand clasped around Lorcan's mouth and gently pulled him backwards in his seat.

As she drew Lorcan backwards, Eisa's cybernetic left arm swung around his chest, swinging in from under Lorcan's armpit, it's metallic fingers closing as it wrapped around an invisible object that she had seen the figure grasp - as to what it was, was the unknown. Once the hand hand had closed up it came to a stop just to the left side of his heart. "I'm not sure if the guy placed something" Eisa spoke out, making a conscious effort to lower her usual volume, so not to deafen her current employer. "His hand was like how mine is now, like he was holding something" she added before tilting her head to the side to look over the man's shoulder at how her hand holding some intangible object, her emerald hued eyes narrowing as she wiggled her thumb a little.

Pursing her lips in thought, the fiery haired female mused on something that she had a vauge recollection of, but for the life of her couldn't really say with any confidence that it was for certain. "Doc!" Eisa spoke out, before she pulled the chair and Lorcan back away from the desk, before turning herself and Lorcan around so that the pale featured Doctor could look at the pair of them in their murderer & victim pose. "Does this look like how you would hold one of them stimm-spray thingies?"

It was amusing to see Lorcan pulled about like a puppet by Eisa, but less so considering the reason why they were here. Stim spray thingie, though? She merely stared for a couple beats before grabbing her own dial, showing the display before dialing up a harmless dosage of saline, and tossing it to Eisa.

"Go ahead and test it. Don't worry boss, it's completely safe,"
she rasped in a deadpan tone to Lorcan, but did something that would have possibly added doubt to the statement. She winked.

She would lean back on her heels, enjoying the show. "It might be plausible..." she muttered, but mostly to herself. Amber eyes, however, were not fixated on the still-wet patch. They were fixated on their much younger companion, contemplation gleaming in her golden gaze.

Ugh if the kid was going to try and flirt with him then he was going to have to fight the urge to slap her. Not because she was unattractive or anything like that but because they were on the job and this was his first big gig as a PI - he had to be professional Force-damn it and that meant that everyone he brought with him had to be too.

"You wouldn't be able to handle me, kid."
he stressed the last word, "Just make with the Force memory stuff."

Force but it was irritating to be wheeled around by someone with more energy than he had. Was this what it felt like to have children? He saw the amused movement of Doc' mouth at his position and he scowled openly right back at her to let her knew that he knew she knew this was annoying him.

He sighed a little bit as he decided that he was going to have to resign himself to being a prop for Eisa for reenactment purposes. Blinking a few times, he raised an eyebrow.

"Completely safe this time."
he agreed, "How hard would it be to inject a poison and then mix that same poison into the bacta on the bandage?"

They might have the actual murder weapon still right with them.

A light chuckle escaped the fiery haired spacer as the Doctor tossed over the medical device, whilst teasing Lorcan about it being safe - she could sense that the man wasn't in the best of moods with the current situation as it was panning out. Figuring that she might as well get it over and done with, Eisa manipulated the device into her hand so that the dispensing side was at the heel of her metallic fist, and the activation button under her thumb.

Rolling her shoulders a little, the spacer eased herself back into position, wrapping her metallic arm around Lorcan's chest and positioned the device so that it was pressing over his chest, just over from the left hand side of his heart. Her eyes looking up from peering over the mans' shoulder and over towards the doctor, casting an inquisitive questioning glance as she moved her thumb so that it was over the activation button for the stim injector. "It kinda works" Eisa spoke out, as she cocked her head to the side a little, her emerald gaze looking back down towards the medical device. "If they knew where to aim for they could of hit the guy's wound with the contents of the spray" she suggested, before raising her thumb away from the activation button - mostly to remove the temptation of spraying Lorcan with the solution that Ilana had programmed it to.

With a slight groan, the fiery haired spacer eased herself away and out from being partially coiled around the PI's upper body - before tossing the medical device back towards the other female. "thanks for that Doc!" she spoke out as a light grin crossed her features, before turning her attention back down towards Lorcan still sat on the chair. Her remaining hand reaching down to pat him on his shoulder, mostly to let him know that she was finished with the reenactment before folding her arms over her chest as she took a few steps back.

Her attention turning towards an empty white marble plinth, sat off towards the corner of the room behind the desk. Her lips pursing in thought as she paced towards it and then sat herself down on the stone block, before her narrowed emerald eyes tracked over the office - panning from one side to the other and then back to the door. "But even if who ever did the guy in with the toxin stuff, how did they get into the office. Did the cops question any of the guy's staff? Did he have staff?" she mused, as her eyes shifted away from the office and towards Lorcan and Ilana. "Doubt the bloke would've been quiet if someone had grappled him from behind out of the blue"

It was a shame the kid didn't use the hypo on Lorcan; the most that would have happened was he would get sprayed down with saline, a mildly amusing idea. And she caught his less-than-amused glare in her direction. She hardly cared, but nimbly caught the hypospray, dialing it off and placing it back in her bag.

The question of the staff was best left to Lorcan; she hardly cared whether or not there was staff. As for the bacta patch... she shook her head.
"It was clean," she answered calmly, arms crossing lightly. "So we can now let his partner know their suppositions were correct... but now comes the question of capturing the killer."

An obvious assessment of course, but she wasn't going to waste time on suppositions and sitting around slinging theories.

"Time to talk to housekeeping."

Rubbing at his beard as he moved around the desk, he took in the scene for a long moment before deciding that this was where he was going to need to start doing the boring stuff. The boring stuff was the stuff that no detective ever wanted to do but knew needed doing and doing well.

The legwork.

"Alright so we're going to take a break for now."
he told them both with a firm frown, "I'm going to discuss any newer members of the housekeeping staff and pour over the holovid security tapes. This part is going to be... long."

He shrugged a little bit.

"Thanks for your help here - you've given me things to spot on the tapes but I'm not going to suggest either of you sit down with me for the next few hours and drink your weight in coffee like I'm about to."

Mainly because he knew Doc wouldn't and he was convinced that if he gave Eisa coffee she would explode.

"Meet me back outside in a few hours?"

Looking up from the floor, the fiery haired spacer directed her attention back towards Lorcan, as he announced that for the most parts their involvement in the investigation for the time being was going to take a hiatus, a bemused expression crossing her features as he continued to elaborate that he was going to proceed with pouring over the security tapes and questioning of the household staff. Part of her wondering surely that would have been covered by the local security force's own detectives, before shrugging it off that perhaps Lorcan just wanted to make sure for himself that nothing was over looked - yet by the sounds of it all, it didn't sound the slightest bit exiting.

Even if she did offer to stay and assist, she knew in her heart of hearts that she would become too much of a distraction or a hindrance - especially if she started to get bored pouring over the same video clip countless times. If she wanted to live a life of meticulous detail and contemplation, then she would have remained within the Order, taking the offer Eisa rose up from her seated position on the marble plinth - her gaze panning over towards the Doctor and then back to Lorcan as she stepped back towards them.

"Sounds good" Eisa commented as she closed in, her hands sliding down onto her hips before her lips pursed up in thought - perhaps this was a blessing in disguise, having a few hours of a break. "Do kinda need to check on Curse, make sure she's behaving herself at the droid depot" she added with a light chuckle, her cybernetic hand reaching up to massage the nape of her neck. "Those little buzz droids sure can be a bit of a handful at times" she added with a light grin forming on her features, before her hand moved down to briefly wave towards the pair as she motioned towards the front door.

"See y'all in a bit"
