The Phoenix Corporation: An Overview
Born from the ashes of an interplanetary industrial giant that existed for two hundred years prior to the Alsakan Crisis before being ripped apart in the aftermath of the end of the Crisis, the Phoenix Corporation is an extremely ambitious and widely varied young company with its fingers in almost every area of business known, from weapons technology to agriculture to cybernetics.
The Corporation’s ambition comes with a ruthless competitive streak. They have no qualms about destroying rivals using heavy-handed lawsuits, and aggressively buy out or underbid their competitors to ensure that they always stay far up the corporate food chain. As if that was not reason enough to stay far outside the Phoenix Corporation’s sights, their opponents - both political and corporate - have a nasty habit of disappearing without a trace or meeting their end in an unfortunate accident.
That trait, coupled with their dedication to quality and establishing consumer loyalty, has allowed the Phoenix Corporation to advance rather quickly. They are, however, still small compared to other manufacturing giants, being limited only to the sprawling Elysian Fields Industrial Complex on Eriadu and the Lambda Mining Fleet.
While relatively small, the Corporation more than makes up for it with its powerful mix of ambition, aggressiveness, and persistence; all of which has allowed it to thrive in the often volatile economy of the Hutt Wars-era galaxy.
Branches of the Phoenix Corporation
To keep the Corporate structure as streamlined and efficient as possible, the Phoenix Corporation has been divided into three branches, each of which operates almost independently of one another and answers directly to the Corporation‘s joint CEO‘s:
Phoenix Armaments
The Armaments branch conducts all military manufacturing and any related research and development. The Branch is also responsible for the security of the Corporation, by equipping, training, and deploying the Elysian Defense Force. Phoenix Manufacturing
PM is responsible for all of the corporations non-military manufacturing, from freighters to portable computers. It is the largest of the three branches, with the Armaments branch coming a close second and Phoenix Medical coming third.Phoenix Medical
The Medical branch is dedicated to the design and manufacture of medicine, medical tools, and cybernetics. The Medical branch offers a wide variety of experimental surgeries and drug therapies, and works extensively with the Republic Government to ensure the safety of everything they market, though in the past the Medical branch has been accused of weaponizing certain cybernetic implants, as well as designing and manufacturing biological and chemical weapons. The EDF was formed three years after the Corporation’s founding, after a Phoenix asteroid mining outpost fell prey to a vicious assault from a group of pirates. That attack prompted the creation of a defensive force that would be able to protect corporate holdings from attack, and in the event of the capture of Phoenix property, to launch a decisive counter-attack to reclaim it.
After several months of recruiting and training, the chairman of the Armaments Branch unveiled the Elysian Defense Force, a small but highly trained fighting force more than capable of safeguarding the corporation and all its holdings.
The EDF was designed from the start to be a mobile and flexible fighting force, capable of quickly responding to any threat posed to the Elysian Fields Industrial Complex. As a result, the EDF is largely comprised of Mechanized Infantry supported by power-armor equipped Heavy Infantry, who are in turn supported by Armored Columns.
Their fast and devastating strikes, professionalism, and flexibility lead many a corporate friend of the Phoenix Corporation to request platoons of EDF soldiers to guard their more valuable projects; this established a precedent that ultimately evolved the Elysian Defense Force into an almost mercenary group, and thus EDF personnel can be found in the service of anyone with the credits needed to purchase the service of the merciless corporate soldiers.

Elysian Fields Industrial Complex
A massive, sprawling industrial complex on Eriadu, the Elysian Fields Complex is the birthplace of the Phoenix Corporation, and the home of the Corporation's largest manufacturing plants. Thousands upon thousands of beings live and work inside the Complex's mighty ferroconcrete walls, and a detachment of the EDF's most experienced soldiers and power armor pilots are always stationed at the facility to ensure its safety. Despite what its name might imply, the Grizmallt Orbital Shipyard is not above Grizmallt, but rather, in geosynchronous orbit over the Elysian Fields Industrial Complex. Construction was only recently finished, and so production at the shipyard has yet to get underway. Iron Planet Mining Station
The Phoenix Corporation's latest mining outpost, the Iron Planet Complex - designed entirely by co-CEO Jacob Roseberg - is located within the Tatooine system, on a large asteroid rich in - what else? - Iron ore. It is a major source of income and raw materials for the corporation, and is thus heavily defended. EDF Missions
The following is a listing of current EDF Missions. Missions will be removed from the list following completion, or failure. Any EDF soldier or officer can take one of these missions, and much like how the Republic Missions are run, soldiers of Sergeant rank or higher will be allowed to take a customized squad with them.

Operation: Desert Wind
This morning at 03:15 Hours, a Phoenix Corporation Freighter was forced to crash-land on Tatooine following a severe systems failure. The Freighter was bound for our mining base on the asteroid named ‘Iron Planet’ in the Tatooine System, and was carrying 4 suits of Crusader Mk III Power Armor and a shipment of rifles and infantry armor intended for service with the EDF Garrison defending the Iron Planet.
It is imperative that the Power Armor be recovered before it can be damaged or destroyed by any of Tatooine’s indigenous people, or before it can fall into the hands of anyone who would use it against us. If possible, effect emergency repairs to the freighter and take it into orbit, where a Phoenix Corporation StarTug will tow it back to Eriadu. If recovery of the vessel is impossible, place a targeting beacon inside the ship, and the EDNF Starlight, a escort Corvette that will remain in orbit throughout the mission, will orbitally bombard the downed freighter and destroy it.
Also, the Starlight will be on-station to provide pinpoint Railgun and Laser Cannon strikes throughout the mission, so keep a targeting laser handy.
We are unsure of what kind of opposition your squad will encounter, so stay on your toes out there.
