Corra had taken one of her books to the dojo on Umbara in order to unleash what she had learned.

Or at least that had been the idea. After nearly an hour and a half of practicing, she felt that she had a good grasp on the newest Sign she was practicing. Unfortunately, it had come at a bit of a cost and she had more than a few bruises popping up on her shoulders and arms, not covered by the workout clothing she had worn.

She flopped down up against one corner of the wall, checking her chrono to see when Naina would be arriving.

Despite the long workout and bruises, she felt good almost like she had finally managed to tap into and control some of that power that had been lurking beneath the surface.

She smiled as she leaned against the wall, waiting for her friend to arrive for a trip out to cause some mischief. I mean, what? Nope, definitely not that.

"All work," a voice called out to Corra as the dojo door opened to announce the arrival of the other acolyte, "no play makes Corra a dull girl." Stepping up to Corra, Naina took a peek at the book besides her. Beyond recognizing it to be a manual of sorts on signs, the text made no sense to her, having basically no aptitude in the area.

"Hmm, interesting, ever learned this one?"

She asked with a serious look on her face, as she turned to look at a nearby training dummy and thrust her hands out at it. Both hands were curled into fists, with just the middle finger sticking out. She accompanied that with a telekinetic push, and the dummy fell over backwards.

Grinning, she turned to Corra. "I call that the dude's such a jerk. Also useful if you want to deal with a bitchy girlfriend. You should put that in there," she pointed at Corra's book, "call it the Naina special."

Letting the pose drop, she finally noticed how spent Corra looked, and remembered that she had brought something for her. Pulling a small bottle of an energy drink out of her pocket, she tossed it across. "Come on, I found a shop that's running a end of season sale. It's one of those fancy places where they serve booze and cake while you try out their clothes."

Corra glanced over at the door as it opened and Naina made her appearance, not getting up from her rest and recovery moment.

Naina, of course, came in and started throwing her hands around in a "Sign" that Corra just knew before she even saw it. She knew it was going to be some variant of... yup, there it was. She just smiled and rolled her eyes.

Wow, you're a true savant, she said with a snicker. Corra caught the can of Emryc Energy and smacked it against the wall before cracking the top.

Ugh, you're the best, she said, guzzling down a big gulp and finally pushing herself back up.

Okay, okay, give me a minute, she said, hopping into a shower and rinsing off without washing her body or face and hopped out a few minutes later, changed into some clean clothes and ready to go.

Alright, what kind of place is this? she asked, tossing her backpack over her shoulder and gulping down some more of the drink as they set off toward one of the nearest cities to the academy in a speeder.

They pulled into a small town with shops lining both sides of a main street. Corra was squinting with an eyebrow raised as she looked at the shops that looked like they sold... knitted things.

Alright, I'm trusting you on this one because this place is... well, it looks like it's for old people or middle aged women, she said.

"Oh trust me," she said as they parked their speeder and began walked through the streets of disturbingly normal looking town, "this is going to be amazing."

Not waiting for an answer, she stopped and made an elaborate gesture towards a building that stood out from its neighbors because of any architectural difference, but rather the larger than normal line of bodies outside its entrance. "See all this old ladies?" She noticed a couple of the women in the line overhearing her and scowling, and gave her a slightly exasperated scowl. "Older ladies, happy?"

Ignoring whatever reaction her response might have gotten, she simple continued walking, dragging Corra along past the line towards the entrance. "Some genius had the idea to mix an open bar with a sale, sort of like a strip club for these gals. They show up in troves, shop like crazy, and on average don't drink enough to make a dent. Which," she gave Corra a wide grin as they reached the entrance, where a tough looking Zeltros woman was playing bouncer, "is where we come in."

Giving the Zeltros a smile, she discretely waved her hand at her side as she drew on the Force.

"Remember me, came in earlier to make that appointment?"

Complaints started rising from the line, asking her to get in line, till the Zeltros nodding and stepped to the side to let the two acolytes through. As they stepped in ever louder complaints went up, till the door closing behind them silenced the world beyond. At the same moment a server walked up with two flutes of a bubbly drink, disappearing as soon as they had claimed them.

Corra didn't usually do things like this. Trying on outfits and... well, okay, she did drink, but not as a whole event. She was practically dragged on by Naina who hadn't seemed to notice that Corra was a little bit discombobulated looking as they made their way past some old ladies and to the front of the line.

Corra actually snickered slightly in satisfaction that they had made it to the front so quickly, and once they were through she leaned over quietly to Naina.

Did you actually make an appointment or was that just a mind trick? she asked. Corra was absolutely not for a moment above using the Force to just get herself things. In fact, it was pretty much the basis for being a Sith.

Moments later, women appeared with the drinks and Corra smirked, downing the first glass without hesitation.

Do we have to like... pay for these? she asked, feeling like an idiot for even asking it. She had never done... anything like this before.

She glanced around at the various outfits here, and was struck by how... bright and flamboyant most of it was. her usual blacks, blues, and purples seemed to be... not in this section.

I need to find some... other clothes. Come on! she said, downing her drink and heading off to find something more her style, this time she was the one dragging Naina over to the semi-goth looking clothes. Hint of goth.

"A bit of both." Naina answered Corra's question with an impish smile on her face, before leaning in for. whisper. "I came in earlier to pick up an order for Lady Vestara," the geriatric librarian was a favorite assignment for instructors looking to dole out punishments, and Naina had gotten very familiar with the old hag, "they thought I'd be back for her and I never corrected them. So ya, everything's on the house."

Following Corra to the goth section, she immediately started pointing out options to her, things she thought might look good on the other acolyte. That was till her eyes spotted a section marked as "Inspired by Sith". Wandering over, she started browsing, spotting outfits inspired by public appearances of prominent Sith, both recent and ancient, and her hands finally came to a stop before a dress worn by some old Drast empress at her coronation. She was about to pull the dress out to inspect it more closely when a hand clamped down on her wrist.

"Stop kidding yourself. Besides, this is mine, I saw it first."

Looking at the woman who had stepped in, not too much older than her and dressed in simple yet very expensive looking clothes, she quickly realized her type. A spoiled brat used to getting her way. Letting out a short chuckle, Naina shrugged her arm free and reached for the dress once more. "Yeah right."

But the next thing she knew she was on the floor as the woman shoved her away to stop her from grabbing the dress and turned to a woman who seemed to be with her. "Can you imagine, her, in this? Talk about delusional."
