Myla sighed as she looked up into the gloomy gray clouds. She really should have checked the weather before she came here. But when her Y-Wing's database had told her that this planet was the nearest with a Jedi presence, she had made the short flight. After more than a century and a half, she was going to return to the Order. Pulling up her hood, the Mirialan began her walk towards the Jedi outpost. Myla glanced furtively around the paved street for anyone with a lightsaber, comforted partially by her own saber thumping against her leg. Overhead, the rumble of thunder signalled an imminent storm. And with the thunder, as always, came the memories. The muddy hills of Jabiim, with the AT-TEs marching stoically towards a line of Separatists as the clones supporting the walkers were mowed down by a repeating cannon. Looking down at the wounded begging for help, for healing, when Myla knew that all she could do was end their suffering. She stumbled, trying to stem the flow of painful memories.

After her meeting with Ava, Nashlaa had some time to settle down. She still felt as if she didn't belong though and that was why she now walked away from the Jedi Temple. There was no real reason for her doing so and she certainly wasn't leaving; she just wanted to wander, anywhere. Maybe it would help clear her thoughts or at least distract her from the painful emotions. Since she was young she always found the cold and wind truly grounded her. It was probably her strong connection to nature through the Force which guaranteed that.

Nashlaa’s hood was up and she looked down at the ground. Around her people were closing up and boarding their houses to prepare for the coming storm. Being trained in Force Empathy she could feel their frustration. One not used to the storms on Takodana may expect the locals to be fearful but that wasn't the case. After all they had to deal with weekly storms all the time, anyone would get tired of that. “I really shouldn't be out here though..” she muttered. She should be back at the Temple going to a lesson or learning or training, anything but wandering the streets of Takodana aimlessly. But here she was. Memories of her mother, Robec and her past in general still haunted her. Hopefully she could find some solitude in nature.

After a while of walking, her heavy-booted steps on the hard pavement below her being drowned out by the thunder, she began to sense a presence of another being. Usually she wouldn't take notice but this presence was particularly strong and there was a feeling of pain in the being, even if that were being suppressed. She stopped walking and looked around, lowering her dark blue hood so she may get a better view. It was hard to see as the grey clouds above had certainly dimmed the lighting in the area but after a few seconds her blue gaze settled on a lone figure.

“Hey! You ok?” she called out, if the being was in some form of pain, even if they were clearly trying to suppress it, she should see if they needed help. She wore the same outfit she usually would with her light saber visible on her
waist.

It took Myla a moment to realize someone had called out to her. She turned, glad to be distracted from the endless tide of painful memories. "I…well, I have a lot on my mind," she replied, studying the being. It was a Togruta, most likely a similar age to Myla, wearing a cloak and…with a lightsaber! The Mirialan almost rushed over and hugged the Togruta, but decided rapidly that that would be very embarrassing and decided not to. "Are you a Jedi?" she asked, a glimmer of hope in her voice. Nervously she fiddled with her tattooed hands, hoping that her guess was right. Overhead, the rumble of thunder signalled that the storm was fast approaching.

Nashlaa nodded when the woman spoke. Now she had a chance to look over her a bit more and she noticed that she was Mirailian and younger than herself. She also spotted the hilt of a split saber on her belt. She took this information in and listened as she spoke. Nashlaa shrugged. It felt odd being asked if she were a Jedi after having spent so long being independent. “Well that depends on your definition of the word. But yes, close enough at least” she called back trying to be heard over another crash of thunder.

“Who's asking?” She asked just as a small droplet of rain fell upon her nose and her eyes glanced upwards at the sky. The storm was coming in fast and although Nashlaa loved the bad weather she assumed the young woman in front of her wouldn't. She could also sense that this may not be a short conversation. “We should find some cover” she spoke and pointed in the direction of a large building on the corner of the street. A warm yellow glow excited the windows and reflected on the wet cobble below. She recognised the name of the bar and spoke “There. It's a bar that I have heard many people and Jedi talk about. Apparently it's open no matter the weather, which seems perfect for us” she grinned

Myla wondered what the Togruta meant by 'depends on your definition of the word.' What did she mean by that? When the Jedi asked who she was, the Mirialan hesitated. "Padawan Myla Lessi, of the Jedi Order. Although…I suppose that also depends on your definition of the term." She sighed tiredly. "It's…a long story." As the first drops began to fall, Myla looked upwards, and then at Nashlaa when she suggested the bar. "Okay," she said, trailing the Padawan into the brightly-lit bar. The inside was loud and busy due to influx of people hiding from the storm, making Myla immediately wish she had remained outside.

“Nashlaa Vi” she said with her hand on her chest “I'm not a Padawan yet, but hopefully soon” she answered honestly. She then turned to walk into the bar.

Instantly the chatter filled Nashlaa’s ears. It was a little overwhelming but it was better than staying outside in the storm, and safer. Once she found a table a young Twi’lek came over, “Anything you want?”

Nashlaa thought for a few seconds, “A Takodana Quencher please. And you?” She turned to Myla. When she responded the Twi’lek would smile,”Of course. Will just be a second” Nashlaa’s attention then returned to Myla.

“Hopefully I can help you with your request. In all honesty I haven't been with the Jedi long. But if not I can at least guide you in the right direction. So, tell me, what brings you here?” Nashlaa asked with a smile.

Myla sat down across from Naashla, waving away the Twi'lek server. "Nothing, thank you. I don't drink." When the Togruta asked why Myla was here, she sighed. "Well…I haven't been very, ah, active in the Order for a while. It's a long story that you probably won't believe, but it's the truth." The Mirialan fished into a pocket in her cloak and tossed a single item onto the table: an Old Republic credit. Then she took a deep breath. "I'm from the Old Jedi Order."
(Cue dramatic music and 'continued next week' lol)

Whilst Myla spoke the Twi’lek brought her drink over and Nashlaa brought the cup to her lips to take a sip. Myla said that Nashlaa wouldn't believe it but Nashlaa had already decided that she would. After all, when she had first come to the Jedi she just wanted someone to believe her so she would do that for someone else.

The glass cup was placed down on the table as the credit was tossed onto the table by Myla. Nashlaa took it and turned it over in her hands as Myla finished. “I believe you” she said to reassure even if there was a lot of confusion within her. It was an unusual situation so she would have to inquire. “How though? You look young so I am struggling to understand how you have managed that” This was not a clear cut situation where Myla had just not been around the Jedi for a few years there was something else going on. “Is it related to the Force?”

Technically Nashlaa was overstepping the mark. She had only just joined the Jedi and it was not her job to be asking these questions but she wasn't used to being part of an Order where hierarchy existed. The way she saw it, if someone needed help she should act. Besides, she was curious to hear the young female's story. She could direct her to the Temple later.

Myla breathed a sigh of relief. At least that wouldn't be an issue. "From the best I can figure, after the Separatists captured me, they imprisoned me in carbonite. The ship they stowed me on crashed en route, but the carbonite didn't fail until recently," she said, spreading her arms. "And, well…here I am."

Nashlaa thought for a second. “That must be tough for you. You have lost a lot and I'm glad you have come back. I assume the Jedi will be happy to have you back and will welcome you with open arms” she said with a smile. “For now we can go to the Temple after the storm has died down where you can tell someone your story and hopefully get some help. I will see what I can do but once at the Temple I suggest you try to approach a Knight or Master who is more established. There is only so much I can do but I will do what I can”

Myla slumped back in her seat, glad someone had believed her. "Thank you," she breathed. This was it. She was on her way back to the Order. Finally. "For everything." The Mirialan heard a laugh behind her, originating from a clump of people who were obviously more than a little tipsy. She reached down into the folds of her cloak, feeling the cold exterior of her saber. I'm going home.

“It's ok, it's the least I can do” Nashlaa replied with a wide smile. It meant a lot to her to help someone out. She then would make some level of small talk, if Myla wanted to, until the storm ended.

Myla sat awkwardly in silence for a few minutes, mentally thanking the Force that everything had gone well. The wind buffeted the bar's swinging door, causing it to swing violently on its hinges before coming to a stop. After a while, she spoke up. "How long have you been a Jedi?"
