The IG unit remained silent while he listened in. When the ship stopped, that would be when he’d introduce himself. This information the student had made her valuable, so Trini would be the first priority incase things got dicey.

While IG-55 was calculating, one of the trinkets he picked up on Tatooine, a small silver ball, slipped out of one of his pockets and bounced once before rolling across the floor, barely bumping Minerva’s foot.

IG failed to grab it when it rolled so he decided to act as if nothing happened, still trying to be inconspicuous.

Trini gratefully accepted Minerva's hand as she clambered back to her feet. Around them, the few other passengers on the bus had begun to file out; Trini herself collected her bag and datapad, tucking the latter away in the former. At the Mandalorian's acceptance of her proposal, the little Amaran grinned, nodding to her, Laeonas and Jaecar.

"Excellent!" She proclaimed, before looking to Laeonas. "I'll agree it's a cesspit... as for not trusting anyone, would that include you?"

Trini said the latter in jest, but as she was about to make her way toward doors, a small silver ball rolled across the floor, hitting Minerva's foot. Trini looked up toward where it had come from, and blinked.

The thing about public transportation was that it was very difficult for any being to hide on it very easily. Therefore, it was extremely easy for Trini to spot the towering assassin droid which stood in one corner, trying and at that moment failing to be inconspicuous.

Minerva felt something hit her foot. Looking down she noted the sliver ball. Confused the undercover warrior then saw Trini looking up. Turning her glance moments later the assassin droid came into view. Acting on hard earned instinct she pushed Trini to the side with one hand while drawing her pistol with the other. “RUN!”

She aimed and managed to fire two blaster bolts toward the droid. Whether they strike true or not will be determined in the next few moments...

Laeonas was still waiting for the inevitable attack, concentrating hard in order to find the threat. He chewed on his lip, barely noticing the Amaran's comment. He replied with a dry, "Probably." Anyone who trusted him was foolish. The correct choice would be to trust that, as long as Laeonas believed another's well being benefited him, he'd protect them. Self interest governed Laeonas' morality in near every situation, with few exceptions. Genuine altruism was a trait that only reared it's head when the man didn't think the risks to him were great.

That principle was tested in the next few seconds, as a small metal sphere bumped against the spacer's foot. Looking down, Laeonas would trace the path of the object backwards. He'd rest his eyes on a tall, lanky looking droid, that seemed to be trying to hide. It was only after a few seconds of trying to remember what this thing was that the spacer's scream reminded him. This wasn't some stevedore going haywire, or a protocol droid waiting for it's master. This was a killing machine.

He'd barely a few seconds to make his move. If his only goal was to preserve his own life, he would've just bolted away. Instead, with the faintest hint of a pull with the force, he yanked the smaller alien's arm into his grip. If she didn't stop him, she'd be thrown back a few meters, once again cushioned with a tug of the force. That was when he'd throw himself backwards, pulling his jacket wide open, and pulling out his blaster rifle. Burst after burst fired from the barrel, all directed at the droid.

Whether or not the shots hit, or if they took down the droid, were inconsequential. All he was trying to do was stop the thing before it got it's hands on them. All around him were screaming civilians, but he managed to spot the teenager in the fray.
"GET THA GIRL OUTTA'F'ERE!" He shouted, diving behind the walls of the stop. Laeonas was tempted to simply rush the droid with his saber, but there was no telling what this thing could do. Assassin droids often came in some of the most versatile and durable alloys the galaxy could offer.

This was going to be one hell of a fight.

IG-55 took the shots in the chest, which didn’t surprise him. He accounted for the Mandalorian’s skills I’m combat, but he wasn’t fast enough to react. Luckily his armor was strong enough to maintain the damage he received and was still able to function. He didn’t however, draw any guns. With his left hand, he unclipped a thermal detonator, “I suggest you all stop, or we all go straight to hell, as most of you would put.” He armed the grenade and waited for everyone to respond.

“Weapons down, please.” The assassin droid demanded.

Jaecar was off the bus already and turned to look at the Mandalorian who he saw first turn and fire on something in the bus. She shouted a warning and the strange man moved to draw a blaster rifle of his own. They quickly reacted to some type of threat it would seem and Jaecar took the hint. Laeonas telling him to take Trini and get to safety resulted in the young Deucalian drawing his energy bow but taking several steps away to clear the bus and any potential explosion or danger.

Jaecar made certain to run behind the Amaran until she was behind cover at least and at a safe distance before he would turn with his bow again to draw. A blue beam of energy pulled back by the string and the teenage Deucalian centered on the IG droid. He held his fire for a moment at hearing the robotic demand.

If the others shot then the Deucalian would let off three bolts. Knowing that Leonas was there and Minerva, they were in the most danger being closest but that still left three against one. Jaecar wasn't including the student he was taking charge in protecting. Never fought a droid before. He thought to himself. A bead of sweat forming on the side of his head and his heart pumping adrenaline to every corner of his body. "Stay behind me."

There was what seemed like a split second of calm, and then everything went to hell.

As blaster fire echoed through the bus, there were screams from the other passengers. In short order, the vehicle had come to a stop, and doors were opening, disgorging the handful of other beings who had also been aboard. Trini had been about to follow them, heeding Minerva and Laeonas' advice, when the droid spoke.

As it turned out, the bus had more or less reached its destination by the time things had started to happen. Barancar didn't have much in the way of uniformed law enforcement, but the Naval Archives Building had some of the best on the planet; Trini was nearly bowled over by a blur of tan-and-orange uniforms as three Royal Barancar Marines Military Police officers pounded aboard the bus, heavy blaster pistols drawn. They scanned the bus, and one marine each pointed their weapons at the beings present who were already pointing their own weapons, or in IG-55's case, holding a live explosive.

"Disarm that and roll it to me right now!" Bellowed one of them.

The man silently cursed under his breathe as his worst fears about the droid were realized. None of the blaster bolts did any damage beyond some carbon scoring. They couldn't beat this thing by conventional means. Heavy fire power-- which none of them possessed-- would be the only thing that could bring it down. At least, that's what would have done it, had the thing not revealed the ace up it's sleave.

"Holy SHITE! Tha' thing's malfunctionin', it's gonna kill us all!" He shouted, stopping fire. The thermal detonator hung in it's hand, and the man could only stare in horror. What was it trying to do? What kind of goal did this accomplish? Who was it even hunting?!

Fear turned to frustration, and frustration turned to rage. This... thing, had come out of nowhere, and was now threatening to kill everyone, including itself. There was no way to stop it, and yet it chose to threaten all their lives all the same. There was no way... no way, besides the "scrap metal" hanging on his belt. A plan began to form in his mind, and Laeonas would promptly drop his blaster.

"This isn't gonna go anywhere, droid! Yer not gettin' yer bounty, whoever it is, without us all dyin' and you joinin' us!" He shouted, trying to reason with the mechanical monster. "Or, just you..." He began, before drawing the saber hilt out of his jacket,

"...and me." He would whisper, as the crimson blade ignited.

Immediately, there were murmurs from the surrounding civilians, Military Police, and even the entourage he had with him. "If ya don't disarm that thing, right now, Ai'll send all these people flyin', and than Ai'll chop that arm of yers off!" He shouted, pointing the lightsaber blade at it. "We'll both go up in that explosion ya want, but ya still won't get yer bounty. All ya'll get is one saber wieldin' drunk's ashes, and yer." He snarled, raising his other hand as he prepared to gather the force.

...ofcourse, it was a complete bluff.

Laeonas didn't have the strength to throw dozens of people off the tram platform. Ofcourse, the droid didn't know that, and neither did any of them. Half of them probably thought he was a Jedi, while the rest were probably torn between him being a LARP that stole a saber, or a Sith. Still, the facts of his abilities remained. He could close the distance between him and the droid, and he could cut it down... and jump into the air with the detonator in hand.

Whether he'd be able to toss it before it blew was another risk, but it was one he was willing to take. If they surrendered, he'd probably die. If he didn't, the thing would blow itself up, and he would probably die. This faint was the only thing he knew would succeed if the droid bought it. He knew that these things were programmed to accomplish their mission first, and their self preservation second. Whoever it wanted, it probably couldn't achieve it's goal if that person was wanted alive, if it blew itself up.

"What's it gonna be, ya hunk of scrap?!"

Minerva sweared, seeing that the droid’s armor sustains itself from blasterfire. The undercovered Mandalorian was going to aim for the metal assassin's head when the latter revealed a thermal detonator and demanded they drop their blasters! Her eyes widened before narrowing with anger. It got even more complicated when the authorities aimed their weapons at all of them left inside the bus who were armed.

Just my luck! Minerva thought with gritted teeth. She didn’t trust this killing machine not to start shooting as soon as they demanded. Just when the warrior was considering her options when suddenly Laeonas dropped his blaster and revealed another weapon. Upon hearing all too familiar hiss she beheld a red blades lightsaber in Laeonas’ hand.

WHAT THE KARK!

Minerva exclaimed in complete and utter shock at the sight. A force user was right beside her all this time. Having witnessed Sith back on Nar Shaddaa years ago recognized what that color was supposed to mean. Then again did having a lightsaber really mean a person was actually trained for it. Regardless, this situation had gotten even more crazy.

“I have a bad feeling about this.” The Mandalorian muttered in frustration.

In the IG unit’s defense, everyone started blasting at him first. He was minding his business- well, he was eavesdropping, but IG-55 didn’t think that was a punishable offense anywhere in the galaxy. After everyone proceeded to relax as he ordered. He disarmed the bomb and and waved at everyone in a friendly manner, ignoring Laeonas’ and the officer’s insults. “Thank you for your cooperation.” He noted the red blades Laeonas was using, and added it to his profile bank in IG-55’s memory.

“I am not here for any of your heads- so to speak. I am here for jewelry. Trini is our top priority as she currently has the most knowledge about the artifacts I am after. There is no need to result to violence.”

He then pointed at the silver ball that had bumped the Mando’s foot.“I would like to have that back, please.”
He asked patiently waiting for everyone to gather themselves.

“I apologize for the bomb. It was a dire action, but necessary for me to get your attention without shooting up the rest of the buss. Civilians are wastes of blaster bolts.” IG then put his hands up. “Do we have a…parley?”

The others fired at the IG unit but Jaecar still held his fire. The uniformed guards that rushed in to control the situation were a new factor. The Deucalian let loose a bolt aimed at the side of the IG unit's cylindircal head just as he had planned. The droid was preoccupied by the others.

First bolt from Jaecar's energy bow destroyed the window that protected the inside of the bus from outside. The second impacted the right arm of the IG-55, severing it with the medium blaster bolt after already taking damage before. The inactive thermal detonator fall to the floor before slowly rolling towards the front of the bus and towards the Brancar guard. The third hit the IG-55 sending it back into its seat with a blindsided blaster bolts on its right side. Now it would be easier to take into custody.

After lossing his energy arrows the Deucalian ducked into. The inside of the bus was cast in crimson light and even the Deucalian knew what a red lightsaber was. The string of the teenager's weapon dimmed and did not draw a fourth shot. His eyes instead searching for the Amaran. Everyone except the fox-like student and the Deucalian had foolishly moved into the tight enclosed space. Maybe it was because the young Deucalian wasn't physically emposing yet but getting close to someone with an explosive was not the best idea. Then again the occupants weren't the average passengers.

@AutoFox @Minuteman75 @Tom @Kell Rook not sure if this counts as PvP but if it is its an auto hit on IG-55, otherwise I can edit.

In the confusion, more Barancar Marines boarded the bus, wielding blasters. As the saber ignited and Laeonas monologued, the whine of weapons charging up went unnoticed, until abruptly, stun blasts hit every member of the group, some - especially the saber-wielding Laeonas - from multiple directions at once. A moment later, an ion blast sent arcs of electricity dancing over IG-55.

Trini, the only person out of the group who was not overtly armed, squeaked and raised her hands as a heavy blaster pistol was pointed directly in her face.

"Ma'am, I'm not sure what's going on with you and your friends here, but the laws of Barancar forbid lightfights on public transportation.""

Around the terrified Amaran, the other marines were placing stun-cuffs and restraining bolts on the others. She grunted as she was roughly hauled to her feet and cuffed by one of them.

"We have some questions for you, I think."

Some time later, all the members of the group were seated in uncomfortable plastoid chairs, their weapons confiscated. IG-55 had been repaired by a droidsmith, although the restraining bolt was still present, preventing him from using any built-in armaments he might have had.

Across a durasteel table, a somber-faced military officer stared them all down.

"Barancar may be out in the wilds of the Tion Cluster," he intoned, "But that should not be taken to mean we are uncivilized. Thankfully, your little exchange resulted in no fatalities, and so you will all only be charged a fine. 500 credits each. Also, for the duration of your stay on Barancar, your weapons will be confiscated and/or locked down. Upon leaving the planet, you may collect them using these receipts."

The officer waved, and a battered-looking protocol droid walked stiffly along the line of seated sentients, passing a small metal card to each one present, save Trini. The officer turned his attention to the Amaran.

"Trini Halrixien, I understand you are on Barancar for the purpose of viewing our Naval Archives?"

Nervously clearing her throat, Trini nodded. Being the only person among those arrested who wasn't armed, she had been able to make the case that she had been in the process of hiring them when the unpleasantness happened. She had been able to negotiate the punishment for the others down to a mere fine, which the University of Rudrig would be paying. Save for IG-55.

"Y-Yes sir." Trini replied. "I am pursuing historical research for the UR's xenoarcheological department. While the archives are safe enough, I'm sure, I had the notion that my research might point me toward somewhere... less savory. Hence these fine contractors."

The officer, pursed his lips, looking at the others.

"Indeed..."

He pressed a button on the table, and behind the group, a heavy door slid open with a clunk.

"Well, so long as you all behave yourselves, I see no reason to keep you from your research. Please enjoy your stay on Barancar. Good day."

The man stood there for a few seconds, blinking as the IG unit actually did as instructed. He could only barely hear the thing over his own mind racing.

The man had half expected death, so... it was good that that hadn't happened. Definitely. What bugged him was that he had actually considered fighting the thing. Even after three long, event filled years, Mataou still remained fresh in his mind. He remembered the feverish pursuit of riches, through trials of suffering he could've never prepared for. He remembered the Sith's body being burned through electricity. He remembered it shrinking in his peripheral vision as he ran, saber clipped to his belt, and beskar under his arm.

He'd remembered staying adrift for weeks, with no food and no hope of rescue. He'd remembered the haunting visions of the Sith, unable to drive her from his mind. He remembered it all, and worse. The hunger in his bones, the screaming as he realized what the grip of his lightsaber was made of. It had been hell.

And yet he survived, because of his final choice. Between trying to pursue an impossible goal, or running for your life, even if it meant abandoning an opportunity... he'd chosen the latter. That had been what had saved him before, and it should've been what saved him here. He'd rationalized that he hadn't had a choice on Mataou, that there was no other way to survive... and succeed. So... why was he still alive?

He didn't have time to ponder this for very long. The stun bolts hit him and the rest near instantaneously. Unlike the rest of them, however, Laeonas wasn't hit once. He was hit several times. His nervous system was overwhelmed within seconds, and when he hit the ground, he'd promptly begin spazzing out. His digestive system had been particularly screwed up, so he began violently throwing up. The threatening figure was reduced to a twitching, puking, and... best not get into the rest.

--------

They'd taken the time to clean his clothes for him while he was out, but in the meantime he was left in only a spare shirt and tight fitting shorts. On top of that, they'd pumped him full of a cheap drug cocktail that made it very difficult for him to feel the force. His mind was a haze, so when the officer came in to unregister the lot of him, he just stared with a half blank expression. It took a few seconds for him to recognize what was going on, and bother to stand.

"Guh... fine? Fiiiine." He replied to their sentencing, eyes rolling, but stumbling as they went up and he had nothing to look forward with.

He wasn't going to be a threat for a few hours, or much of anything for that matter.

The last thing Minerva felt was the stinging effect of stun bolts hitting her. She collapsed sideways, dropping the pistol. Later in custody the uncovered warrior when she woke up was privately by the authorities upon discovering her Mandalorian gear and weapons. Following a moment that nearly turned violent they managed to calm her down long enough for Minerva to be given back her helmet and gear except for the weapons and jetpack for the time being.

Frustrated nonetheless, Minerva Wren had been silently relieved to keep her armor(minus a few pieces). Outwardly she displayed a cold stone expression on her face as the officer lectured them all. The Mandalorian had to suppress the strong urge to jump up and shout her rage. Instead she turned a murderous glare toward the assassin droid.

This is all your fault, stupid clanker.

Minerva thought but otherwise did nothing scowl with disgust. It was all humiliating for her. What's worse, it made her hunt even more complicated without weapons and no doubt being further watched by the planetary security. She squeezed both hands into trembling fists.

Subsequently the protocol droid passed each of them a receipt. Minerva took hers and let out a weary sigh. I won’t hear the end of this if and when the clan finds out. That was something she wasn’t going forward in the near future.

Placing the receipt in her pocket Minerva then glanced around at her companions before putting on her helmet. Now they all knew she was a Mandalorian or at least someone wore the armor. In a way she was kinda glad to be herself instead of keeping up with that holo drama crap she was tried and failed with. Getting to her feet she glared via t-visor at the officer before walking for the door that was opened for all of them.

Turning to Trini she said with genuine regret.

”Sorry kid but I have my own purpose to fulfill. It was an honor to meet you despite what happened.”

With that Minerva Wren nodded and went to go pick up her weapons. She was leaving this world.

(OOC: Hey, y’all, in my defense, I didn’t shoot first.)

IG-55 could not feel emotion.

But he was pissed.

He dropped his little ball- WHICH HE STILL DIDN’T GET BACK -and then everyone lost their shit.

One of the targets IG didn’t have a file for obliterated him entirely, even after he had tried to defuse the situation. He was going to have revenge one day. This wasn’t his fault either. His feelings were hurt, too. Was he a monster? Was that why everyone shot at him as soon as they noticed him? Maybe he was a monster, doomed to roam the galaxy alone and hunt alone and earn money alone and kill alone and be killed alone.

IG-55 could not feel emotion.

But he was sad.

His mission was no longer to find his jewels- how the hell was he supposed to do that without weapons? He was going to find his ball. Too many memories were made with that small silver ball to give up. It didn’t think he was a monster. It didn’t shoot at him when it saw him. It just sat patiently and waited for IG-55 do what needed to be done. Then it would listen to his logs made on his most recent mission. It did not scold him and hate him for he was.
It was loyal.
It was his friend.

As they sat waiting, Jaecar was thinking up plans. The first was to get his weapons back. The second was to acquire new weapons. The Deucalian's hands were balled into fists in his lap. He stared ahead with an unfocused stare, only coming out of it when they were being released and given their receipts for their items.

Eyeing the IG unit he had shot before, it appeared to have been repaired. The hair on the back of his neck rose as he contemplated how unnatural it was. It was just 'fixed'. Droids and machines had a bad reputation on his homeworld. They had come in hordes, enslaved the other natives and twisted them into monsters under the command of other masters. Too much 'civilization' and the purity of nature was tainted. That was how Jaecar saw most of the galaxy and it was only confirmed more and more he made his way.

"So what now, foxy lady?" He asked and looked at the other members of the group. I don't even have my damnable vibro dagger. The teenager crossed his arms and scowled with a nassal sigh. "Can we get something to eat?" He was feeling hungry. Maybe that was why he was starting to get a bit cranky. His jaw began to work on chewing his cheek until the next course of action was taken.

Trini turned to watch Minerva as she left, her ears drooping. She started to say something, but some instinct told her it wouldn't matter.

With a sigh, she turned back to the others. Jaecar's question got her attention, and the Amaran's ears perked slightly.

"Food... actually sounds like a great idea." She replied. Hopping down from her seat - her small stature meant that her feet hadn't even touched the floor in a chair designed primarily for humans - she looked at the officer. "Thank you, officer, we'll all try to behave ourselves... er, a question. Do you know any decent restaurants around here?"

Looking mildly surprised, the officer looked up from some flimsiwork he had been filling out, considering a moment before answering.

"There's a pretty good Argaian place around the corner from here, actually. And they don't mind droids."

A few minutes later, Trini and company were sitting in a diner not far from the military police headquarters, waiting on their respective meals and - in IG-55's case - lubricants. Argaian food, it turned out, was mostly grilled meat of various kinds, coupled with various exotic glazes. The smell of the place was decidedly good, and they were all beginning to relax after their recent ordeal.

As they sat, Trini bit her lip, and rummaged in a pocket. She withdrew a small silver ball, and after hesitating a moment, rolled it across the table to IG-55.

"I'm pretty sure this is yours... I pocketed it before we all got arrested." She said, looking apologetic. "No hard feelings?"

The bright blue eyes of the force sensitive man gazed, empty headed and glazed over. He'd followed the teenager and the alien out, and he'd been handed all of his belongings-- saber included-- in a large dufflebag. He'd look at the spacer, now clad in beskar armor, and it took him a full half minute to recognize what she was. "Maaando? Man, dough! Mando!" He exclaimed, repeating the same word with different intonations. He glanced at the ginger and the alien again, pointing, only to realize that the woman was gone already.

"...mando?" He said again, scratching his head as he looked back at them. He frowned, glancing at the two of them again. "Gone." He stated, in as matter of fact a tone as he could manage. He really was completely out of it. The officers hadn't needed to drug him this hard, but they had no clue as to how to deal with a force sensitive. So, they'd done five minutes of research, and they'd pumped him to the maximum amount of sedatives they knew brought down force sensitives... without killing them.

When the boy suggested food, Laeonas smiled dimly.
"Hunree." He said, nodding along. He'd follow behind them, letting his dufflebag swing back and forth. He had no idea where they were going, but they definitely knew, and that was enough. They hadn't shot him, and they hadn't tried taking his stuff. Were they friends? No, they weren't. But they weren't bad guys. Not bad guys at all.

Arriving, Laeonas would stand for a bit as the others went to sit. He eventually realized that that was what he was supposed to do as well, so he'd plop down next to the Amaran. How he didn't notice the tall, imposing hunk of metal that had threatened to blow him up an hour ago was... difficult to say. It was probably for the best, all things considered.

Jaecar beamed at the prospect of food. So too did his stomach as it growled audibly and caused the Deucalian to look down for a moment. The closer they got the more his hunger grew. The young hunter did not wear his helmet while he was waiting for food. His body fidgeted while waiting for it to be served until it finally was. Not using any of the utensils save for the knife, Jaecar chewed chunks of some sweet and spicy grilled bird. With the teenager's mouth full of the food, the occasional act of getting a drink would interrupt the chewing. But his eyes suspiciously continued to glance at the others in perpetual curiosity and wariness in equal measure.

The human woman, maybe near human as far as he knew, was now clad in armor. But she kept her silence for the time being. Mandos were warriors of some renown it would seem. The droid on the other hand, was not the kind of being that ate. Having it present just made things strange. The Deucalian did not trust droids or technology. The other human-ish person had been drugged by the authorities after the earlier altercation. "Yyrr lkn wurs thn mhy dd after lifeday fsst." He while chewing a particularly juice bite of glazed nuna. He looked at Trini and smiled with sauce around the corners of his mouth and smiled. Jaecar was glad she had suggested this place.

IG-55 graciously took back his friend and inclined his head into a jerky respectful bow towards Trini. “Thank you.” The droid said plainly. “No hard feelings.”

He stared at his friend, remembering the first day he found it…

Back on Tatooine, where he was awakened after being manufactured, the small shiny metal ball had hit him in the back of his head. He had scanned the area for his first target but couldn’t find the culprit who dared to dent the backside of his head.

He only found the silver ball which laid at his feet.

Then, a child with a brown cloak and glowing yellow eyes had approached the droid, his face masked by a strange darkness. It spoke gibberish, which led IG to believe that it was just a toddler. It pointed at the ball and then pointed at itself- IG-55 found his suspect.
So, he pulled his DL-44 on the toddler and thought about ending it’s sad lonely little life.

But as he stared into the child’s glowing eyes, he saw himself in it’s reflection.

He saw the monster everyone else avoided to look at.

IG holstered his gun and patted the toddler on it’s head, handing it the small silver ball, ushering it to go back to whoever they belonged to.
As the IG unit watched the toddler wander off, he watched two mean looking thugs cut them off from their desired path and began bullying the child around.

Those bastards!! It took a seriously demented and kriffed up kind of person to pick on a toddler with a speech impediment that also hides it’s most likely seriously deformed face from the public that also happens to dress like a homeless person.

IG drew his weapon for a second time, only firing his blaster once. The blaster bolt flew through the back of the neck of one of thugs, ripping it’s way through their throat which aloud it to barrel into the face of the second thug, dropping both of the shitheads.

The toddler gazed up at IG-55 again as the droid helped the small homeless child to their feet- but this time, IG didn’t see a monster.

He saw a friend.

The child began speaking more gibberish but seemed very grateful for the rescue. Then, to IG’s surprise, it had handed him their little metal ball.
A token of friendship…

IG-55 looked back at the others at his table, exchanging glances with each of them.
Jaecar didn’t seem to like IG-55, but that was alright. The feeling was mutual.
The Mando was…unreadable. The helmet made sure of that.
The force user sounded the exact same as he did before he was drugged- so maybe he was just always doing drugs?
Finally, his gaze landed on Trini. The strange creature had given his ball back to him as the toddler on Tatooine did- another token of friendship.

Maybe he wasn’t all a monster after all.
