I watched the first episode again.

The reactions I made reflect the ones during the first viewing. XD

Since Season 2 is now airing, I've changed this thread into a spoilers thread.

I hope some cool cameos come. I haven't read up on much so that I'm surprised. But Ahsoka would be cool to see, if it made sense to the story.

I wonder what the next monster will be this week since so far it's been a monster of the week monster hunter mando mash

Before anyone takes what I'm about to say the wrong way, I really enjoy the Mandalorian and have good fun watching it with my brother. Regarding season 2 specifically, there are parts of it I've enjoyed but I must admit, I'm a little bit frustrated with it. If they're not going to use some of these cameos as part of the actual storyline this season I'd rather they didn't bother with them. Obviously, there's still some time, but honestly if they've literally only put them there for fanservice or YouTube fan theorists, then that's just disappointing and means that entire episodes of the show are just pointless filler. Plus, if they keep centering episodes around his ship crashing or being damaged, that's going to get old very quickly.

I hear ya. It’s a good ride but there are definitely pacing issues and episodes feel kind of standalone; there’s certainly a story but the plot is staggered.

At this point I’m just enjoying it for what it is and not expecting much beyond what I get. Probably not going to see these cameos in another live action work so it’s still a thrill when they pop up.

It seems to me that Jon and Dave are using this season as essentially a dip-in-toe season. Probably using it to introduce all these new show concepts, and cherry picking the ones with the most popularity.

I can’t say anything in case you haven’t caught up, but the last two episodes have sprinkled in more than enough to piece together the next time something major plot related will happen, it very well may be very bad news. At least if you remember their Legends counterparts, and how two of these named enemies played into post ROTJ in EU canon :)
