You awaken with very dry mouths. Reflexively you reach out towards the nightstand beside your bed expecting to grab a bottle of water to sate your thirst, but instead you find your hand filled with nothing but coarse grains of sand.
Opening your groggy eyes you see you are not in your bedroom, instead finding crystal blue sky. The sound of waves crashing against the shore suddenly fills your ears.
Standing up, you realize your back is aching. It seems you may have been snoozing on this random beach for quite some time now.
Looking around, you see that apparently, you’re not alone. Several others are strewn across the beach, all coming to in their own time.
Behind you seems to be only an endless ocean stretching out for what seemed to be infinity. In front, a dense jungle with foliage you don’t really recognize.

Your survival begins.
Doing a simple interest check to gauge who/how many people would be interested in participating in a DM'd thread (DM'd by me) using the premise above. I was thinking the thread would have more compelling stakes if it was considered canon to the participants' timelines, even if the premise of how they arrived is very ambiguous/strange.
I think around 5 PC's would be a good number for the thread, so if more than 5 people show interest/sign up I'll toss all the names in a pool and just do a random lottery since that seems the most fair compared to first come first serve.
Given the nature of the premise, I also think characters should arrive with little else other than the clothes on their back. No armors/weapons/etc. Survival isn't supposed to be easy, after all.
Most details will be revealed in RP but if you have any questions feel free to ask, I will answer them if I think it won't impact the narrative/any surprises I have planned.
With twists and turns abound in just what kind of situations the PCs will find themselves in, will they band together to succeed or let their differences tear each other apart?
