Hey Everyone!
We finally have the Sith Empire, and with it comes all of the fun Imperial motifs and awesomeness that I've been dying for. This is just a page to sort of brainstorm and see who is interested in playing an Imperial Character (it doesn't matter the branch). I can see a lot of great interactions between branches. I used to be a head Admin for the UNSC on an old Halo Site, which handled a lot of different types of combat--ranging from Fleets, to ground troops, to the intelligence black operations.
I can see a lot of great storyboard potential for an expansive and fun engaging story as Imperials build up their own power. Will a certain member from Imperial Intelligence use his pull to send a squad of Imperial troopers to their deaths in the name of research, or will an ambitious fleet captain take a daring risk in space to turn the tide of a battle? These are just some of the things that are possible.
Military combat can be daunting and off putting, sometimes it feels like you need to be a diehard to understand everything, but that doesn't have to be the case. Ideally Imperial military RP should be inclusive to everyone, regardless of knowledge. Large skill combat and divisional pride has always been really fun and my favorite type of writing, and I think a lot of people would like it.
Realistically, I would love to see the Imperial RP scene to serve as a way to experience those fantasies of being a stormtrooper or one of the nameless imperial officers or technicians that you see throughout the movies. In this Timeline things are really dependent upon the people, and I think we can do some really fun things with this branch and down the road with our friends in the Judicial Forces.
With that sort of brainstorming ramble out of the way, I have a few ideas in my head about possible Imperial Plots.
-Quelling growing flames of infighting within the Tion Cluster -- the Tion cluster is home to various noble planets of various sizes and resources. News has begun to spread of growing discontent with the various monarchs across the planets within the Cluster. Seeing the Potential to expand the empire and collect resources, missions ranging from all out war to secret political missions have begun to spring up. Imperial Intelligence is busy funding and providing resources to Imperial Sympathetic Regimes or Rebel Groups, while the Imperial Defense Force has taken up in providing defensive aide to those whose governments have sworn their future support to the Empire. These would involve characters from all the various branches, ranging from peaceful diplomatic missions, to possibly all out planetary conflict.
