Sundari - Mandalore

When the Jedi brought forth both halves of the Kyber Crystal found in Fortress Vader, their combined song eliciting a blinding light as they melded back together. Glowing on its surface was a set of coordinates, which when researched led to a system that many had either forgotten or tried not to think of: Mandalore, the ruined world. The Mandalorians were a dwindling people, very few seen in the greater galaxy that kept with their old ways, with most survivors living in the Capitol city of Sundari. They were not a people known to be friendly to the Jedi, or any Force User, and going into the den of the desolate and struggling was not something that would be done lightly. Yet, the call of the crystal was clear: Something was there, something that needed to be found. What this thing was, though, there were no further clues to be gleaned from Ajan Kloss. Subtlety was chosen for this mission, sending the Jedi Oren Zapan and Maxims Tionson to the planet to find what was behind the mysterious crystal and song. Whatever it was, the Force stirred greatly around these events. They would not be allowed to land in the city itself, forced to land in the wasteland surrounding the domed metropolis, and it would seem that their first objective would be to find a way to enter the place itself. From that point on, they would be on their own and would need to use their wisdom and wits to accomplish their goals.

~~~
The reach of The Eternal was vast, especially that of its spy network. The Jedi weren't numerous, so movements outside what was normal was a thing that was easily noticed and transmitted back to their mobile headquarters. Jedi, going to Mandalore? That was not a thing to be done lightly, as many Mandalorians still harbored a hatred for Force Users. Were they trying to make amends, forge an alliance, perhaps? That could be very dangerous if so, as the Mandalorians were a threat for the Sith just as equally. Was there something else driving them there? There had been no word or activity of communication before this event. There were too many questions and the current possibilities were things that The Eternal could not just brush aside. He decided to send two of his agents, Rain and Ender, to go find the Jedi and discover their intent. If it would be harmful to the Sith Order, they were to sabotage the efforts as best they could and engage them if necessary. They didn't need the Mandalorians to start hunting them, though, so if possible they were to stay out of conflict with the warrior race. Knowing his agents would land shortly after the Jedi arrived, the Eternal waited eagerly to hear of their report when finished.
~~~

Adenn Rytt and Roland would always find themselves welcome in Sundari, among their fellow Mandalorians. Any number of reasons could have brought them there, their reasons ultimately being their own, but luck or fate would have them be in place when the Jedi first landed outside of the Capitol. Word immediately spread through the people of the city, the din turning dark as words of hatred or suspicion were said of these surprise outsiders. Already the guards at the city entrances were arming themselves, ready to fight at the drop of a hat, and any able-bodied Mandalorian was being asked to be on guard or join the door detail in case of the worst. They had gone through battles and purges ever since the Empire had taken over over a century ago, so no small matter would be dealt with lightly. It could take just one more disaster to spell the end of their entire people and way of life. That was something they would fight to the death to protect.

Each group, being the Jedi, Sith, and Mandalorians, will have a combined 48 hours to post before the next group can post. So, both Jedi must post within 48 hours, then both Sith in another 48, and so on. Any PVP will be death disabled, however, there may be instances that could cause death in the course of the story, These instances will have clear warnings before they occur, so players have a choice about how and if they want to proceed toward risky situations. If you cannot post in the time frame allotted, please post an extension request in the OOC thread and I'll be happy to work with you. Let's all have some fun!

A strong gust of wind blew across the wasteland, pushing dust and grime to cover the viewport of Oren's BD-510 Courier as he attempted to land among the remnants of a world long destroyed. Mandalore, home to the warrior culture of Mandalorians. They were a proud people, though like the Jedi they had been nearly destroyed and wiped out countless times, yet here they still stood--legends said that they were once so powerful that they challenged and fought wars against the Jedi, but Oren wasn't quite sure what was the facts and what were simple legends.

Regardless, he and Max were here on request of the Grand Master himself, chasing a lead on only the force knew what. The story of my life, he chuckled as he thought back to Lotho Minor and the rummaging through mountains of trash and the dead to find whatever he had found there. It wasn't going to be an easy task, they hadn't gotten clearance to land in the city and were going to be forced to tread across whatever this wasteland was. Oren wore no armor, and simply kept his lightsaber clipped to his side, Nashyr's crystal hanging around his neck.

Stepping out into the white hot heat, Oren would raise his left hand to shield his eye, as he called out over the gusts of wind. "To think this place was once vibrant and full of life.." He'd lean down to pick up strands of the ash and dirt. "This is why the Sith must be stopped."

Landing on Mandalore was a rather solemn affair. The planet had a history arguably more illustrious and contentious than any other planet in the known Galaxy. It had birthed a people capable of great rage, greater heroics and greatest skill, and yet it had been struck down hard. The planet he landed on was almost akin to Tattooine with how desolate it was, save that the Mandalorian people had done far better for themselves than the locals of that dustball had.

Let it never be said that a son or daughter of Mandalore could not overcome the hardship their homeworld thrust upon them.

Max had heard tales of Mandalore growing up as a child in the Outer Rim - for a time his planet had been part of the ancient Mandalorian states and had been proud of it. It's people remembered for centuries after the fall of the Mandalorians and the rise of the Hutts back into their lives. Parking his ship, Tigris, he thought about it for a moment before stashing his lightsaber in a small hidden compartment rather than bringing it with him.

In it's place at his waist he equipped a vibrosword and it's scabbard. His stun baton remained firmly secured where it always was in a holster under his left arm. His armored robes were not strictly speaking uniform amongst the Jedi, they appeared commonly enough throughout the Outer Rim, so he elected to keep them.

Looking around the planetscape with Oren, he eyed the Master for a moment before shaking his head even as he kept his guard up. As much as he respected the Mandalorians, he knew better than to expect a truly warm welcome. And Mandalorians tended to be rough even with their friends.

"Can't help but agree."
he mused with a small smile, "Lets go and introduce ourselves and our purpose then, Master Oren. In true Mandalorian spirit; onward despite the dangers."

The Rain landed her ship on the planet shortly before Ender, away from the detection of any other ships besides his. She'd chose to wear her Rain armor as it was not unique in the galaxy; any Joe blow could get their hands on the mass produced armor. The only part of her outfit that connected her to the Sith was her gray half-mask, and only a rare few would recognize it and make that connection. The mask had no markings, no carefully carved features or proud splashes of colors. No, it was void of anything distinguishing. It's featureless gray covered her face from nose up. Her weapons were hidden on her belt.

She had long smothered her signature before landing on the planet, but was hit with another the moment she landed. The familiar signature smacked her with a plethora of emotions. "Oren, you idiot, why did it have to be you?" she muttered under her breath.

The small Sith breathed in deeply to steady herself before she rose from her seat and made her way off her ship. Would she have to fight him? She knew that at some point, despite remaining hidden, Oren would be able to sense her too. It put her in a predicament, but he also did not know about what happened on Kashyyyk.

If she was being honest with herself, she was surprised to have been selected by The Eternal for this mission considering her ex-masters betrayal. But it meant that her work lately had been enough to prove she hadn't followed in Talak's footsteps. As she stepped on the planet she could sense lingering darkness left by the mass amount of death here. Something inside her stirred and hungered at the sense, but she ignored it and waited for Ender.

Ender flew his ship towards Mandalore, receiving confirmation that Lilith had already landed safely. He had been formulating plans for their new world but the Eternal asked him to check on a disruptance in the force on the planet. It could already be felt as he drew closer but his ship flew steadily towards the rendezvous location. His force signature as well was masked, taking extra precautions as he assumed they wouldn't be the only two there on the ground.

When he landed, Ender simply exited from the port above the cockpit and landed gracefully on the ground in front of his ship. He wore his mask for this mission, it fully encasing his head with his hood not drawn over it. For equipment, it was just his belt, his lightsaber but tucked underneath his robes and his vibrosword in it's sheathe. Ender gave her a nod but noticed the slight disturbance in her as well but he didn't know of her relationship with Oren so he couldn't pin it down.

But his attention was pulled away from her as he absorbed the dark side that emanated from the planet. It wasn't just death, there was something more to it, an underlying layer beneath it that seemed darker but was muddied. Ender inhaled for a brief moment before returning his gaze back to Lilith, "Let's get moving then. I assume the Jedi will head towards the nearby city." They had a walk for themselves and they would need to scope out the situation before they made themselves known.

"rusur be ner tal, ca'a cuyir la, Critia'yr e'yar ku'nr bal buir be Suya'ge."
[The land of my blood, blessed is she, Gem among worlds and Mother of the Mighty.]
Rimr be haat (the book of truths) , Tome of the first blade, Chapter one, verse one-two. Adenn had always meditated on that passage, trying to understand if such would be for his time. He read on;
"Olar, cayatr malyasa'yr cuyir briyihilyr. Kar'taylir ibac tion'tuur weiyean yunda'en be ner tracyn Hettir, gotal'ur sitdrisu'anr olar bal akaanir par mies biay e'ya'gr cuyir sere."
[Here, the battle will be critical. Know that when the ember of my fire Burns, make pilgrimage there and fight for those whose intentions are pure.]
Adenn looked over at the small Khyber crystal which hung on the wall of his cabin, I had begun to sing and shine. It's glow was subtle as was its song but in comparison to it's previous state, he noticed it very quickly. He knew then that the time had come, it was time to return home.
He rose from his small table, leaving the scroll open and marked where he had left off, not that hed forget as hed read the small Holoscroll cover to cover and had even seen the originals, still written on their original Papyrus and kept in a sealed case. As he walked to the Cockpit, the Spooky's Alarm was going off, telling him that it was time to exit Hyperspace.

He sat down and pulled back in the lever which caused the ship to exit from light speed travel. As the warp gave way, he could see her, his true home and, as far as he was concerned, the center of the whole galaxy. She was a wasteland, but still the blood which had seeped into her soil was thr same as his. The desolate landscape cried out to his emotions, filling him with great sadness. It were as though it were a damsel in distress and in his opinion was symbolic of the state of her people. The ship entered the atmosphere, and soon his Commlink lit up.

He answered and gave his Codes, which earned him a spot and a relatively warm welcome from the security who saw his helmet and armor. A few minutes passed before he reached the Capital of Sundari and found his docking station. Adenn ensured he had his Beskad, Grimscar, his blasters and finally his Sash, Woven from Armor Weave. He wrapped it around his waist and tucked Grimscar's Sheath into it. Upon exiting the Spooky Mistress into the city, he was immediately hit with awe.

The beautiful Geometric Architecture left him zealous and being surrounded by so many people who spoke his language made him truly feel at home. He wished for L'ewvan, his adopted son, to have been with the prophecy in the texts, he felt it would be best that he remain among the rest of the Pack.
As Adenn walked through the streets of Sundari he heard whispers and overheard conversations of "jetii" and "Dar'jetii". He wondered if theThe former was concerning enough, Jetii with their busy bodieness often came as puppets of another power and had laid waste to Mandalorians many a time before. But Dar'jetii? That was an even more horrifying prospect... not only would they destroy and kill everything amd anyone in their way but they had in the past led The Mandalorian People to ruin when they became influential...

he had a bitter memory of both, the Dar'jetii He particularly hated them. And thinking of them the ancestral memory of the Great Purge came to mind..His Khyber Crystal which he wore around his neck, seemed catch a lot of people's eyes. He wondered if they thought it was a trophy, as though he were some kind of Jetii Killer....

Roland had been amid talking about local fauna that was practical to hunt in the surrounding area when he saw a runner dart past in a hurry. A foot messenger system around Mandalorian occupancy was still fairly common even with the Galactic Empire gone. It didn't rely on comm signals and had its own benefits when trying to remain undetected and surviving with the basics. Whether he was telling his own family, his business, or other members of the tribe, Roland didn't know. But that told him there was something worth reporting about.

Pulling out his macrobinoculars he made the occasional murmur to the armored hunter next to him go on about hunting animals. The Sector Ranger zoomed in the devices in his hand and saw the ship that had landed and immediately recognized one of the faces. Sitting up straight, his lazy and casual posture that had been kept under the relatively cool shade was gone. "I've got to go check something."

Getting up and dusting himself off he took a step towards the direction of the jedi and stopped. Roland realized he had heard more air traffic recently and seen some other ships. For a place that had occasional arrivals, several ships in recent timing added to the red flags going off in the Mandalorian's mind.

Instead he trotted over to his ship a few meters away on sundari's cheapest landing pad. The man used the long range communication link to contact the Sector Ranger home office. "Hey, this is Ranger Rook can uh...can you get me Jedi Master Zapan's commlink info....yeah..nope... yeah I know them jedi right?" He still had the lightsaber he had taken from the Mandalorian helmed dark sider outside the prison though he did not wear it openly still like most Mandalorians would. The fallback for why he was asking for info was was to have a jedi do their psycho-whatever on it. But it seemed that wasn't needed since the information was given by the ranger working back at the office. Roland couldn't remember the last time he had forwarded a call. "Alright, appreciate it. I owe you one.." As soon as he ended the call, Roland sent a call towards Oren Zapan's commlink. Pick up and give me a good explanation please.

The cross shaped visor turned to watch several Mandalorians moving to get their own direct view of the Jedi. It made Roland blend in a bit more but it told him there was a lot more fingers near triggers too. This is definitely going to go south. I'm not lucky enough to not have to do the amount of paper work. Roland dropped his free hand to his hip. An index finger tapped along the holster of a sidearm while he waited to hear if Oren would pick up. The Mandalorian walked back out into view and began heading towards where he suspected the jedi were planning on entering the city.

The Mandalorians that were guarding the gate weren't taking any precautions, gathering any volunteers who would be willing to help them. One tapped Adenn (@Timmen ) on the shoulder, pointing to an open spot overlooking the gate the Jedi were heading towards, a good vantage point to cover with a blaster or rifle. They assumed that Roland ( @Darasuum )was already trying to help them defend the gate, having seen the man start to access his blaster, so they left him to his devices, though some more suspicious still kept an eye on the newcomer, despite his armor and bearing. Paranoia could do strange things to people. The apparent leader of the gate's watch stood above the entrance, switching his comms onto a loudspeaker setting. It would use speakers set up around the gate to throw his voice far enough for the Jedi to hear.

"Not another step further!" The man spoke in heavily accented Basic, as a warning in a language outsiders didn't know wasn't very fair. Still, it would only be one warning he would give. "Turn around and leave, now. Never set foot on our world again. This will be your only warning." To emphasize this, the man clicked off the safety to his blaster rifle, aiming it at the two approaching Jedi ( @TWD26 @Nefieslab )with clear intent to fire. There would be no negotiation, if these men tried to talk their way in, the gate guards would immediately open fire. The Sith weren't in sight (@Dread @Orbit ), so they didn't know they were there at the moment. Jedi were seen to be just as bad as Sith in the eyes of the Mandalorians, so would be treated the same. Some of the bounty hunters among the Mandalorians were eager for a fight, as Durr the Hutt still had his bounty on lightsabers going on.

The wind swept across the arid plains as Oren and Max made their way towards the outskirts of the city, his lone eye peering towards the great walls that protected the last bastion of Mandalorian culture. It felt strange standing in the open, the feeling of thousands of long distant echoes crying out rippled through the force. Something bad had happened here, but Oren was not familiar with the full details on what exactly happened.

He could not feel the presence of the Sith anywhere around them, though something felt a twang of familiarity in the distance, but he couldn't exactly put it together on what that was or where it was coming from--unknowing that Lilith was here on the planet too. He heard the loudspeakers call out, asking them to leave--his eye shooting towards Max as he raised his hands. "Trust in the force.."

The more peculiar thing about it all was the communication ping that came through on his communicator, Huh..what's going on. He'd begin to back up, his left hand raised as his right arm moved towards his lips. "This is Jedi Master Oren Zapan," he would start and if the communication would stay open, surely he would recognize Roland's (@Darasuum) voice from their talks in the Prison, "We're here seeking peace and answers. A while back our Order found two parts of a crystal in the home of an ancient Sith, when melded together it pointed to this very location--why we don't know. But, we came seeking answers." He'd continue to step back, never turning away from the wall itself. "If you don't want us here, we will turn back now.."

He'd turn towards Max, hoping that he would keep stepping back. "Why can't we have more missions like Eraidu?" He'd smirk, a gentle calmness radiated from his body. He trusted in the force completely, it would guide him to what they sought, You just need to have patience and empathy..

Trust in the Force?

That was fine by him. He stopped when requested and held his hands to his sides, showing them to be open and free from weapons. Equally he didn't make any movements with his hands, keeping them flat, as the usual reliance on hand motions to use the Force would be known to the Mandalorians.

He let Oren do the talking while he instead focused on the Force. Reaching out with his senses, he counted the number of Mandalorian guards and got a sense for their emotional state with some rather passive observation through the Force. Invisible and uninvasive, it would let him know their moods and keep his presence around them to help judge their next possible actions.

Some of them seemed more curious than anything.

"We seek to stop the advance of the Old Enemy; the Sith who have once again returned."
he spoke up as well even as he stepped back slightly, "If we succeed they will have no reason to ever set foot on your lands again. And you may hunt them on your own terms, not theirs."

He wanted to smile at Oren's comment about Eriadu but he didn't. Instead he just raised an eyebrow and spoke softly.

"Because territorial mother Mudhorns have less reason to hate us than Mandalorians."

Lilith barely reacted to Ender's entrance as she was almost entirely distracted, not bothering to look at him even when he spoke. She wondered if she needed to give him a heads up about Oren, but decided it wasn't needed yet. If she got real lucky, it wouldn't be needed at all even if they ended up in a fight. There were many ways to avoid the conversation. She hadn't even told Talak about Oren, the idea of telling Ender wasn't appealing to her.

"Right," was all the young Sith replied with at first, chewing on her bottom lip for a second. "They're... at least one is there," she said, pointing Oren's direction.

Before moving forward however, she turned around to her ship and raised her voice slightly, "Take care of the ship and watch over Ender's too." Her little droid that she'd gotten to help her navigate all those years ago appeared near the doorway and beeped happily before the ships door closed.

Carefully, she trend forward, keeping her senses out for trouble and her hands close to her body, therefore close to her weapons. But as they walked, Lilith allowed Ender to take the lead. She assumed he'd also want to get close enough to observe the Jedi, but not engage. She'd stop when he did and use rubble for cover to stay out of sight.

Ender kept on his path and walked towards where Lilith had pointed and where he had felt the flux of the force. The droid wouldn't do much against any threat but it could at least warn them if something happened. His partner wasn't doing well hiding her emotions and even when she mentioned one would be there, she almost seemed hesitant to bring it up that they were there in the first place.

They arrived at a vantage point that overlooked the city and the interaction between the Jedi and the Mandalorians. Ender crouched behind some rocks for cover as his eyes scanned over the guards and the Jedi there. The gears in his head turned for a moment before he spoke quietly to Lilith, "There are too many guns and Jedi for us to approach. We'll have to wait this out and observe for now." He was naturally patient so the idea of waiting didn't bother him if the planet permitted it.

While they watched whatever happened down below, it gave them the opportunity to actually speak. Ender brought his gaze back over to Lilith and held it on her for a moment, "What do you know about those Jedi? Or at least which one? Think before coming up with an excuse." The first time they worked together, she withheld information from him that resulted in him fighting against fellow Sith to his own surprise. He made it clear that he didn't like the fact that she withheld info from him when they worked together and she had revealed her hand enough for him to call her out about it.

Roland would hear Oren answer and then the following shouting of Mando'a. He would have translated for Oren and whatever company he had though it seemed they already got the idea. The reasoning the Master Zapan made Roland blink a few times. I guess I live in a karking fairytale world now Sighing audibly he replied "How long ago was that? His cross visored helm looked to see if he should try to find out what it was the Jedi were after. If he got it then maybe there would be a way to avoid disaster.

The cloaked Mandalorian ended the call after Oren gave his answer and made his way up to the gate and looked around for any sign of leadership among the Mandalorians. One had directed a yellow armored warrior to the gate as well and it was the best vantage point for the time being. With both macrobinoculars in hand he continued to scan the surrounding area. <"You know bad luck tends to follow the Jedi. Chances are there's maybe other bad news on their tails...especially if they're dumb enough to step foot on Mandalore."> He said out loud in Mando'a as he panned from the Jedi's ship to other areas he would have used as an observation point. Roland looked over his shoulder to see the city behind him and the Mandalorians that rallied to defend it. Yeah...they're not going anywhere. Neither am I.

Adenn climbed to the top of The gate and looked out at the Jedi. One of them he recognized though not by name... the one with The wounded face. He had been on the Wheel and had taken away The Dar'Jedi. He could see them calling out something over their Comms but he couldn't be sure what. He continued to observe through his scope, lacking any kind of Macrobinoculars.

"jetii narir va lap'a at copaanir a akaanir! Etie gaan lap'a at nalya vaja'gatamte bal udesla. Ni malyasa'yr va urmankalar etie e'ya'gr malyasa'yr cuyir at akaanir mhi ."
[The jedi don't appear to want a fight! Their hands seem to remain steady and calm. I would not believe their intentions would be to fight us.]

He called from the vantage point to the "commander"
He continued to watch the situation unfold with greatmt interest.

Adenn's suggestion is met with suspicion and some scorn by those next to him, the local Mandalorians now regarding him more closely as they realize that, while also a part of their culture, he was not a native of the planet like most of them. To suggest that Jedi, or any Force User, was allowed to Its finally here set foot in their city, after everything that had happened, was preposterous to them. Some of the defenders looked around, wondering what that strange whispering had been. Only a few heard it, and not clearly, though the Jedi and Sith could make out the words. Roland's suggestion, though, definitely fed into their paranoia. Some of the guards with better scopes or eyesight began to scan for anything else that was out of place or could be a potential threat. The wastes of You seek answers Mandalore were a common sight for them, though it would still take time to do a full sweep as most of their attention was focused on the Jedi. Again with that whispering, though this time different people heard it. The Force Users were again the only ones to make out the words.

"There will be no discussion, I believe I was clear!" The Mandalorian who was Witness and follow speaking before gave one last warning, training the sight of his rifle on where Oren was standing. He shook his head to get rid of those weird whispers, something he was sure was coming from the Jedi. A few of the Mandalorians began to shake their head, a sound at the edge of their hearing growing subtly louder despite having lived with it their whole lives on Mandalore. The Force rippled around those that could feel it, a slight disturbance to the desolate peace that the planet had been when they had arrived. Everyone present looked around, wondering what that whispering Sliver of truth was, though they couldn't quite make out the words like how the Jedi or Sith could. Then, for a moment that felt like an eternity, everything went silent.

Let me see you

Everything changed, fire raining from the sky from shapes high above in the atmosphere. From behind the Jedi charged wave after wave of soldiers, wearing armor that wouldn't have been seen for thousands of years, firing blasters and heavier ordinance at the gates to Sundari. The Force was flowing around all of them, the crystal in the hands of the Jedi glowing brightly the moment everything changed, as if it were generating this strange lifelike vision. The Mandalorians, not knowing what was happening, only saw a suddenly advancing army and explosions raining from above, crying out in alarm as they started to fire back at the oncoming attack. Their blasters seemed to hit physical objects, felling these strange soldiers with every hit, while those in turn struck were thrown back with the same force, some apparently deadly. In seconds the whole area was engulfed in this sudden firefight. None of these strange soldiers were attacking the Jedi, though, which some of the defending Mandalorians noticed, opening fire towards them thinking that they were the source or leaders of this strange assault. They knew they shouldn't have let them get even this close.

Through all the chaos of battle, as the turbolasers rained down from above on the fields outside Sundari, a cloaked man appeared amidst the soldiers, which the crystal in the hands of the Jedi seemed to be drawn to. The man had a lightsaber ignited, crimson red and almost radiating malice and madness. He stopped for a moment, as if taking note of the two Jedi, before walking forward towards the city. He raised a hand to rend the gate open enough to pass through, the rush of the Force palpable as he did so. The crystal beckoned the two to follow him, though that near compulsion would be able to be felt by the Sith as well. If they could get past this strange battlefield, they might start to get their answers.

The Jedi Knight had already been backing up when the crystals began to glow a white hot color and the feeling of spirits and ghosts would fill the air. These men came over the arid dunes that lead to the city, clad in armor far older and ancient than anything he had seen, and the feeling of the darkside came into view, peering towards them and ignoring them. He heard the message through the force, and realized what was going on.

As he stepped back the blaster fire from the wall would come their way and the Jedi Master would quickly activate his blade, deflecting the shots that came his way. He would attempt to call the Mandalorian, and if Roland chose to pick up then he'd begin to translate what he thought was going on.

"The Crystal is calling out towards your city, but this isn't our doing." He'd say quickly, "There is a spirit or something that is attempting to draw this crystal to it, and I'm afraid that I brought it to you," he'd curse under his breath as he kept his saber drawn. "Whatever these visions..these pangs of memories are leading to, we need to try and stop it...so your people can rest in peace."

He would step forward saber drawn in a defensive position, in order to react to potential blaster shots. He would not hide, he would attempt to end this situation and the Mandalorian people's suffering, so they could finally move on from the painful memories that seemed to cling to this arid earth. This is the way of the Jedi.

History coming alive was a lie history teachers told their students so that they would manage to sit still long enough to actually get through the lesson. What it was not supposed to be was turbolasers, an army and a violent Sith Lord coming back from beyond the veil of the Force to rend the lives of innocent people asunder again. Mandalore had some of the most vial, disgusting, history when it came to genocide and destruction.

And now the ghosts of that past were here again.

Drawing his vibrosword, Max didn't honestly know what to do. The ghosts were solid enough to take a hit however so when the Mandalorian guards started shooting at him and Oren he reacted, dancing and weaving between the ghostly soldiers to ensure that they took the hits meant for him instead. As he was doing so however, he was moving closer to the edge of the city.

"Oren!"
he called out to his fellow Jedi, "We can't stay here like this!"

He grimaced and dashed forwards after the ghostly Sith Lord as he reached out to Oren telepathically.

Oren, the Sith Lord is the key. He commands the host and the Force urges us to follow and witness - I'm sorry but we can't defeat this army here. We need to end it at it's source.

"And you need to think before threatening me again, because I'm not going to keep putting up with it," she hissed between her teeth. Obviously he'd hit a sensitive subject, but she also wasn't interested in him becoming the dominate one in their 'partnership', turning it into something uncomfortably close to a classical Sith set up. A set up she wasn't interested in ever having again.

But she did decide to give him some information to avoid further conflict. "The one with a scar on the left side of his face.. I put that there," she started, not bothering to even turn and look at the Jedi. "His name is Oren. He's a Jedi Master and not much of a fighter," she added with a forced shrug.

It was then that a huge disturbance in the Force ripped her attention from the subject. She carefully peaked out from behind her rubble to see a scene she never thought she'd see. Once again discovering something new the young Sith never read or heard about. She couldn't help but widen her eyes in both interest and uncertainty about the whole thing.

But what caught her attention the most was the Sith at the lead. Instead of reacting right away however, she leaned back behind her rubble and looked back at Ender. If he went forward, she'd do the same. If not, she'd be perfectly happy to wait for the Jedi to be in the city before going themselves. Even if the doors closed, there was likely other ways to get in that would draw a lot less attention to them.

The annoyance was clear in Lilith's voice but he paid no heed to it. She answered truthfully and he could tell enough that her answer wasn't suspicious. Well, at least the fact that she knew the Jedi. How she met him and why she knew him was a completely different story but for a different time. Ender chuckled softly, "Remain open and there won't be any problem between us." His gaze had returned to the Jedi and the Mandalorians to watch how the meeting would unfold as it seemed that even with the Jedi there, the Mando's weren't happy about their presence and what they represented.

As the conversation continued, words and sentences could start to be heard echoing through his head. Ender grabbed one side of it with his hand as he closed his eyes and tried to concentrate. It was if there was a presence there in his mind, one where if he tried to reach forward and grasp it, it would only feel like water spilling from between his fingers before returning again and continuing whatever it was saying. "Something is coming." He murmured out softly and not that much later, the Jedi and Mandalorians were attacked by... things to say the least.

Ender's gaze flicked between the newcomers and the ones who were fighting them. He said before that there were too many guns for just the two of them to advance but it seems whoever the new Sith Lord was, he brought back up that seemed specifically only for the Mandalorians. Ender glanced over to Lilith and gave her a nod before he spoke telepathically with her, Stay low and keep between in the rocks. We'll present ourselves until it is beneficial. He would have joined in on the assault there with the Sith Lord but the fact that the ghosts weren't targetting them at all threw him for a loop. If it was friendly to Jedi, did that mean it was friendly to all force users or just them?

Ender slipped between the rocks as he started to make his way down silently where he was from to the entrance and the hole that the Sith Lord had made. His lightsaber hilt was in his hand but remained deactivated to not scream out that he was there. Ender would be ready to defend himself if need be but at the moment, his moment would be just reconnaissance unless something forced their hands.

Roland's hood shifted as his head turned to look around. He could have sworn he heard something just out of the edge of understanding. He was about to raise the macrobinoculars again when he noticed others looking around as well. <"You hear that?"> He referred to the uneasy sound of whispers in his head.

Roland expected the commander to fire right after his final warning but there was a pregnant pause. The world erupted before the Sector Ranger but not from anything the Mandalorians did. The eyes behind his visor widened at the sight of Mandalore that seemed so real. Beyond the Jedi was an army of dark armored troops. Looking up even the sky had changed. Roland voiced an old prayer and tensed as the roar of blaster fire began.

The scene before him looked like some kind of cloaking or force magic had been used. He couldn't believe the size of the army in sight had approached without being detected. Not again It was a thought shared by many Mandalorians. Had the so-called Sith Order planned on attacking the Mandalorian people just like the Galactic Empire had? Was this the testing ground for some new weapon? Asking questions that would go unanswered was pointless.

One hand pulled out his westar but the other held onto the macrobinoculars. Bringing them back to his visor he zoomed in on the Jedi once again. They were ignored completely by the phantasmal force. A glow from one of them was small but noticeable with the magnification at Roland's disposal. Then a crimson bladed figure stood out from the other soldiers, drawing his attention . "Dar'jetii"

<"We need to fall back. We've got more pressing problems than some Jedi!"> Instinct took over and Roland ignited his jetboots but he didn't fly far despite his advice for the other Mandalorians. They needed to move back to a different position or evacuate before they were over run by such a massive force. His advice would be heeded or it wouldn't. If it wasn't then he doubted there would be any convincing the Mandalorian leader amidst the battle. As if to emphasize his point, the gate was wrenched open by the incorporeal will of the dark sider making his way into Sundari. He didn't show any sign of slowing. Roland hoped the Mandalorians were not so stubborn they were willing to carelessly throw their lives away. They had been surviving and trying to recover still from the Purge and it would be a tragedy if they wasted the generations of sacrifices made to get some semblance of their old lives back.
