The air was filled with smoke and blood. The tension had shattered when the army came into view. Some of the young Jarma practically fell over themselves , taking flight at the sudden surprise, while the Veterans, Adenn included, fired on the hoards. Some Mandos fell, crying out in anguish as the Blasters penetrated their armor. Beyond the lines the skies were ablaze, crimson and orange as the turbolaser bolts fell like rain. sound of them falling to the planets surface echoed from far away and the plooms of Dust they kicked up were great. He looked beyond his sights and saw the jedi following the Sith. As they approached the gate they allowed their foot soldiers to take the blaster fire, like humans shields which did further to enrage him.
Cowards
He thought as they approached. Soon the Sith held out his hand and blew the gates wide open with his will, creating a cacophany of Screeching durasteel and Snapping Locks. Adenn Felt forced to fall back as He had heard a voice call out and had assumed it was an officer.

He quickly abandoned his post, pulling up the rear of the other and found cover among the now abandoned street. He trained his rifle on The Sith lord and Jedi, waiting for the order to fire.

The Mandalorians were quickly pushed back by the onslaught of the sudden army attacking them, the rending of the gate being the last thing they could handle before being forced to retreat. They didn't do so without a fight, though, firing right back at the mysterious forces to fell a fair amount of them for every inch they gave. The 'Sith Lord' was a main source of attention for them, though so too were the Jedi who were trying to get inside in all the commotion. The leader of the guard was about to give his order to attack when a group of Mandalorians suddenly came to their aid, reinforcements they didn't even know they had. In the crossfire, no one really noticed that all of the newcomers were using an older style of Mandalorian armor, or that most seemed to bear the crest of Clan Solus. The most ferocious of them jetted forward to engage the 'Sith Lord', a rain of blaster fire coming down on black-robed form and crimson lightsaber. He tried to reflect some of them back as he moved, gathering the Force to counter, yet her reflexes and movements forced him to stay on his toes instead of launch a dedicated strike on her.

As the two fought in the street, the leader of the guard turned his attention to the two Jedi. He ordered his forces to focus their fire on the Force users, the ringing in his ears almost whispering to him that if they were slain, the attackers would falter and flee. Their city, their people, would finally be saved. A hail of blaster fire rained down upon the Jedi position, a line of burning death that worked to impede them from coming further into the city. A number of the mysterious soldiers were caught in this fire, creating a few gaps in the rain of fire, yet the barrage didn't end just with the counter fire coming towards the defenders of Sundari. While every man would be out to defend themselves, the standing order was to take down the Jedi as soon as possible.

Through all the carnage and apparent bloodshed, a pressure was building in all of their minds. Only the Force Users would be able to hear more of those whispers from before, though. They struggle. They do not learn. They rise up, just to be beaten back down. Even the toughest nail will bend and break to the hammer. A thousand years would not change this about them, and it has been six of those since I've been able to start seeing them closely. They amuse me. The voice was getting louder, clearer, and a sliver of power began to seep into every word. The crystal pulsed with each word, compelling its holders to follow the 'Sith Lord', to witness...but what was it trying to show them? They would have to cross the wall of death to find out.

Lilith saw the barrage of death heading towards Oren and something in her, buried deep beneath the darkness, screamed out. It screamed so loudly she couldn't ignore it. The young Sith simply reacted to it, almost as if it was a fight or flight response, stopping instantly behind some rubble while she was following Ender and reaching out with the Force. She wrapped a shield around Oren—a Force Bubble—though it was big enough that it would also cover the unknown Jedi who was close by him. It'd give them the freedom to use the Force offensively, or whatever other ways to either get away or move forward.

She yanked the mask off her face and tossed it to the side after the shield was erected, so if the unknown Jedi somehow spotted the young Sith he wouldn't have any chance of recognizing her. She was also ready to duck behind the rubble for cover if she was forced to.

Her mind was racing a mile a minute, just like her heart, and she knew she had to say something to Ender and quickly. Stay hidden. I'll let the Jedi Master see me. He wont attack and I may be able to go under cover, she said through the Force to Ender, not actually sure if she'd be fine or not. And especially not sure how Ender would react. The unknown Jedi, and the fact that when she last saw Oren she simply vanished from his home while he had been training her, made everything very questionable.

But she wasn't dressed as a Sith. Oren could not know she went back to the Sith and the other Jedi did not know her. She could act friendly and possibly go under cover. Either way, she'd acted on impulse and now she needed to see this through. She'd felt something she hadn't felt since she'd bathed herself in the Dark Side back on Kashyyyk... conflict. It sickened her. She hated herself for being so weak and pathetic and giving into it in that moment. She hated that just seeing the Jedi Master somehow—despite how far she had fallen into the abyss—wrenched that out of her.

Ender had been navigating between the wrongs until he stopped in his place when he saw that Lilith was creating a shield around the two Jedi. He was behind the cover of some rocks and he used to whip his gaze to her, his eyes golden as it was evident he wasn't pleased and confused that she helped the Jedi and revealed herself. But she quickly tried to tame his fire as she told him to stay hidden and to let herself be spotted by the Jedi. She had told him she was the one who put the scar on Oren's face, she could go undercover?

He wasn't in much room to negotiate and the gold in his eyes dimmed as he slipped back into the shadows to remain out of sight. He would remain close to Lilith but not close enough to be spotted as he constantly used cover or whatever else to remain out of sight when he could. Ender would just be in the near enough vicinity to reach her quickly if she needed it.

Ender watched from his hidden position, keeping his eyes locked on Lilith and the area surrounding her. Even he could sense the conflict that was rising in her and he immediately saw this as a bad idea. But he pushed down his emotions to remain hidden and let Lilith conduct her plan. He had told her they were partners and he would have to trust her.

Max was certain that what was going on right now was connected to the urge the ghostly Sith was forcing them to feel. They had to follow them and if they didn't then it was going to just get worse, he could feel that in his bones. Whether that was the Force speaking to him or just his instincts he neither knew nor cared.

All he knew was that he needed to get a move on to get to the bottom of this without being blasted to death.

The Force barrier springing up into place ahead of himself and Oren, covering them from the oncoming fire was not expected but not something he took for granted either. He had been pooling the Force before and now used it, thrusting his hands out ahead of himself and closing his eyes with a shout of warning to Oren. The Mandalorian guards shooting at them wouldn't be able to understand his warning and wouldn't get the advance warning to block their eyes as he used Force Flash as they were all aiming right at him, their eyesight focused on him and Oren and, now, the blindingly bright flash of light too.

"Oren come on! We need to move up into the city for cover if nothing else!"

While the guards were still briefly blinded he would use Force Speed to dash through the wide-open gates. Slamming rather painfully into the wall of an alleyway, he would use the wall for cover as he took a moment to recover. Flash wasn't an intensive technique but using Force Speed was always more draining. He would grip his vibrosword tightly in his right hand and gather himself with the Force, keeping an eye out for his partner, the Sith Lord, the enemy and the source of the barrier.

He didn't know who had caused it but there was just a feeling about it that felt... off somehow. Enough that he was damned sure that Oren didn't do it.

It seemed that the blaster fire was no where close to slowing down, the mandolorians hadn't given up on the fire fight and it seemed highly unlikely that even the blade skills of the master would have been enough to deflect the heavy rounds coming crashing around them. But, it seemed that the force had other plans and the intertwining paths that began on Naboo all those years earlier had returned.

He felt her signature the one he had met so many times, Lilith.. He hadn't heard from the girl since she had ran away from him on Rishi, where she had gone he hadn't known, but it was evident that there was still a storm of emotions in her and the faint sliver of light that showed itself on Naboo, Nar Shaddaa, Rishi, and now.

The Force barrier formed around the two Jedi, which would provide the two of them with enough of a temporary protection against the Mandalorian blaster fire. Max as always was quick to think and grinned slightly at the flash of light. "I'm right behind you," he'd say as he dashed inwards through the gate with Force Speed where the heart of the battle was occurring.

He didn't dare look back, not now, he knew she would follow, whether or not she was with another, Oren wasn't sure. Oren would keep his blade drawn as he raised his hand, clicking the communication with Roland as the two Jedi ran towards the trail of the ancient Sith. "We are the only two..."

A blaster bolt would strike the communicator cutting the Jedi Master's words before he could finish them. "Damn," he'd hiss as he dropped the blasted bits and kept moving. Hopefully, the Mandalorians would pick up on his words or maybe it would make the situation worse, there was nothing he could do about it now, but continue on to find the truth.

This was more than the wildest shootout Roland had been in yet. Armored figures moved past him with weathered beskar. Roland continued to cover the retreat as he saw Oren and the other Jedi enter through the gate surprisingly fast.

Red and black with the sigil of a ferocious creature moved past his vision. They seemed a bit different than the other Mandalorians. A warrior's tenacity persisted in the Mandalorians of today but something about the zeal of the Solus clan members and other newest reinforcements was different than the ones the Ranger had interacted with. Roland didn't remember seeing this much of them before in Sundari. This whole thing doesn't add up

He decided to aid his brothers against the sith. Moving to the side and getting openings between the hit and run movements of the Solus, Roland would pull out his second blaster pistol. Around a dozen meters out of reach he wanted to avoid any of the high leaps the dark space wizards were known for. Roland had seen first hand how much they could move if they wanted to.

He would fire three shots from each of his blaster pistols, more than comfortable using lethal force. Taking down the dark sider was his top priority at the moment. The air of the large domed city had much less traffic than it previously did in decades past but with the commotion there were more airborne Mandalorians than anything, at least, that's what it looked like. He could see more of the Sith forces being taken down by the Mandalorians defending their home turf and he would be lying if it didn't spur him into action.

The sudden flash of light forced Adenn to flinch and shield his face, trying to shield his eyes from the sorcery. The flash was great enough for blind him for a brief time and upon being able to see again the Jedi were gone. Still the battle they had made raged on. It never seemed to end, the bloodshed.

Men charged, were cut down and their bodies were hastily trodden upon by their Comrades. A twisted symphony of never ending horror, a discordant orchestra of blaster fire, the screams of the dying and thw anguished battle cries of their vengeful and hate filled vode. Men fell from the skies, their flame covered bodies were as twisted and grotesque leaves falling from the limbs of a great tree. The horrors of war were overwhelming to the senses. Hearing, sight, smell and even taste was all overwhelmed and attacked by the battle. The Archetecture was no doubt under attack from the battle as well, the geometrical buildings too were ablaze and had become damaged by the odd Misfired rocket and stray blaster.
Adenn continued to fire, trying his best to keep back the tide of invaders.

"Gar gotal'ur akaan par giaragr at bulyr be gar ijaa"

Was all Adenn could think. What was this all for? The jedi were settling an old score? Maybe some Vod out there slew the wrong man and brought down hell for his whole people.. only Kad Harangiir would know. At the back of his mind something kept eating at him, something that said a dead Jedi would make the army leave.. what a crock. Indeed one dead forcer or two might make for a route but theyd be back... and angrier.
This was a fight of Attrition the Mandalorians could no longer sustain. The crowds were always growing smaller, and his interactions with other Mandalorians told him his people would not survive another few decades of this kind of reaping. The war needed to end.

The fighting got intense, neither side able to gain on each other, though they didn't retreat either. Something about this fight stirred something in the spirits of the Mandalorians, like a weariness that was being dispelled by this fight against a new foe. It didn't matter who was attacking, nor if the planet they were defending was a blasted wasteland, this was their home, the source of their very way of life. They would defend it until the end, as apparently many of their number had already done. The Force Flash had been effective, allowing the Jedi and their new companion to take refuge at the edge of the alley. Their immediate targets gone, the Mandalorians concentrated fire on the other mysterious soldiers. It was best to deal with the threat in front of them, after all.

As for the Sith Lord, as Roland fired on him, he spun with almost preternatural speed and precision to block the shots with his lightsaber, though not with enough skill to reflect them back. This did give the female Solus time to dart forward with her jetpack, loosing her blaster in quick shots tightly grouped at the man's center of gravity. He couldn't turn in time to block them all, grunting in pain as a bolt tore through his gut, but surprisingly he leapt forward into her path, bringing his lightsaber up to spear her in the chest. She tried to raise her weapon to at least take the Sith with her, yet the flaming sword had been too accurate. She slumped to the ground, dead, as the man stopped to stare at her. There was almost a sense of recognition, even of loss...Then he looked up, his cowl falling back to show a mask covering any discernible part of his face. The mask was by far the most interesting thing, though, as at least the Sith would recognize it as being a copy of the one worn by The Eternal...No, not a copy, it was radiating far too much power from the Dark Side to be a mere copy. This was the true Mask of the Eternal.

Everything slowed as the world was suffused in a strong green glow, as far above a lance of destructive light was shooting down from one of the ships in orbit. The turbolaser shot fell straight at the Sith Lord, the man not moving or even flinching as he watched his impending doom come at him. As it struck the mask everything exploded, the Sith Lord's body disintegrating and everyone on the battlefield being thrown to the ground, most being knocked out completely. As the glow faded, so too did the glow from the crystal the Jedi held, though a small bit of light remained. All the mysterious soldiers were gone, as were the sudden Mandalorian reinforcements, like they had never been there. The 'killed' Mandalorians weren't dead, just knocked out having thought the taken bolts had slain them. For the Force Users, as well as Roland and Adenn, the blast would have been majorly disorienting, yet not enough to knock them out. They would be the only ones still awake to see the aftermath of what had happened.

In the center of the street, where the SIth Lord had stood, a huge crater had been carved out from the Force, down through the earth to where something glinted in the shadows. Buried among the remains of an old street from thousands of years ago, the Mask of the Eternal sat embedded in the ground from where it had been blasted so long ago. The force had not only physically implanted it, yet it was also stuck fast against the flow of the Force through the very world, its darkness having spread through what was left of the Force on this side of where it was stuck. No...It was more like the Force was trying to seep through the sides of the mask, like it was trying to get free, but the darkness changed it, warped it, and what was left had sunk into the very fabric of the land itself. The crystal bade the Force Users to go forth, take their prize, compelled them to do so. The Jedi would also feel an ominous anxiety in their guts, that handling the Mask was an incredibly bad, or deadly, idea.

Lilith knew that she'd been sensed, and followed after the pair of Jedi when they made a clearing to the gate. She didn't hold anything back, calling on the Force to boost her speed. She'd stop at anytime to defend herself if she had to, but a fight was the furthest from her mind. Her job was information retrieval only... right?

Only a handful of quickened heartbeats passed before she rounded a corner to get through the gate, and found herself perhaps a little too close behind the two Jedi. It was 8m at least, but Lilith's eyes drifted to the ground when she saw the Jedi Master. She didn't want him to turn around and look her in the eyes, because a sense of guilt began settling in her gut. Despite the chaos around them, she had to ask, "Are you.... mad at me?"

But it was shortly after that that something caught her attention. The Sith figure engaged in battle with a Mando that gave off a sense of power of her own, and then the entire world around them was bathed in a disorienting light. Lilith found herself stumbling to the side, using the corner of a building to help prop herself up. It luckily didn't come falling down on her, but she wouldn't realize that until the light had passed and left a crater in the middle of the road.

As soon as she got her senses back, she could feel the depths of the objects darkness, it's power, and it's seductive beckoning and craving, though she would not know that it craved a host. There was more, though, it was ...The Eternal? No, it wasn't the one she'd sensed in the past on the home world. That one paled to this one. But she had read about only one mask, and this one was no fake.

The young Sith was filled with confusion and her countenance clearly displayed it, but the seductive call finally dug deep enough into her mind to make her take a few steps forward. That is, if she wasn't attacked by the other Jedi or anyone else remaining. "Oren... is it calling you too?"

The battle was growing in intensity and death as blasters were fired and swords clashed. Ender remained at his spot and undisturbed in a crouched position as his eyes flicked over the battlefield. He mostly focused on Lilith as he watched her close the distance to the Jedi. From his position, it didn't appear like the Jedi were hostile to Lilith's approach as she drew closer. But he couldn't keep his eyes on her for long as a new presence made itself known to everyone or at least didn't care about being discovered.

It was a wave of coldness that fell over the battlefield and the feeling of the dark side of the force hovering and being drawn to the hooded figure. Ender watched transfixed as he wondered what could be causing such a disturbance in the force. Mandalorian's with red and black symbols fought back against the lord and specifically one charged directly at him and managed to land a hit but paid the price by being stabbed through the chest with a lightsaber. The hood fell down from the lord and it revealed who it was, the pale mask, the coldness, it was their master, their real one, the Eternal.

This is what the entire Sith Order was searching for and it was right there in front of him. It had to be what had been drawing the two Sith and possibly Jedi to this location. With nothing having spotted Ender so far, he removed his helmet so he wouldn't be immediately recognizable and hid his signature further. He was still patient and wait for his time to reveal himself and he made his way closer to the city, using the rocks and whatever cover he could find to safely navigate toward the breach and where Lilith was with the Jedi. If he reached them, he would simply stay a safe distance away but close enough that he could see what transpired. The entire time, his senses were alive and he had his hand near his weapon in case anything wanted to take a swipe at him.

Of all the things that could have happened, what actually did happen in the end was not something that Max would have put credits on as the phantom Sith Lord they had been watching had been revealed to be the Eternal and then had exploded. That would have been trippy enough for one day but the feedback that seemed to rush out from the point of the explosion was either weirder; it rushed through the area, destroying the ghostly images of the old Mandalorians and the Sith soldiers to knock the majority of the Mandalorian people clean out.

Hell, it set his own head ringing like no one's business.

Still, some things could not be ignored; the Mask of the Eternal was one of those things. It sat there, embedded in the rock, and it stank of the Darkness. It was beyond disgusting to him with the way it warped and twisted the Force by it's mere presence; it was proof to him that the Dark Side could not exist in a balance with the Light. The Light was welcoming and forgiving and would allow the people of the Galaxy to live their own lives.

Darkness of this caliber was a cancer that needed to be destroyed.

He glanced at the woman who appeared to be speaking to Oren for but a second before making his decision. She had the taint of the Dark Side as well but it wasn't anywhere clear to the same level as the Mask in the street and she seemed to know Oren personally. Max wasn't about to get involved in personal matters when the Mask was right there.

"Follow when you can."
he urged Oren, "I'm going to secure the site of the Mask's emergence."

He could see that the majority of the defenders of the Mandalorian city had been knocked out but some would likely still be awake and aware. With his vibroblade in his right hand, Max darted out from the alleyway into the street with his blade held up above his head, horizontally, to show anyone looking where the weapon was but also that it wasn't being readied into an attack. He wrapped the Force around himself, pulling it tightly under his control as he approached the Mask, keeping 5m away from the thing.

As prepared as he could be for disaster he called out to the Mandalorian warriors who still stood.

"Verda be Manda'yaim! te cursed relic be te darjetii enteyor cuyir kyrayc!" he begged of them to understand in his fractured version of their native tongue, "Please! We came here only to end the madness of this relic and it has caused yet more! It must be destroyed before the Sith may claim it once again to decimate the peoples of the Galaxy!"

He hoped they would listen.

He trusted that they hated the Sith.

He knew that they likely distrusted the Jedi.

He preyed that they would all have the strength to destroy the abomination that lay unceremoniously in the dirt.

The familiar feeling, the presence he had felt on Naboo was still there, though slightly darker or confused, Talak had left her behind or maybe she didn't want to see him, the Jedi Master did not know what had transpired from the day she had left him on the beach. What was brought on her was circumstances of corruption and malice that shaped and molded her, Oren had tried to show her the way, to find peace with herself, and to look to bring justice and aide in ways that built on the lives of the misfortune, it hadn't always gone well and he had taken more damage than most--every time he held out a hand he was lashed, but he couldn't give up.

A Jedi uses the Force for Knowledge and Defense, Never For Attack..The words were etched in the temple of the Ajan Kloss, words that made up his dogma and personal ideology. The two of them had been connected for far longer and for why, how this would end, the Jedi Master did not know, but he knew how he would act, and that brought him peace.

But, the peace of this planet did not stand and an eruption stirred and shook, causing the Jedi Master lose his balance a bit, and the battle between the past had ended, giving way to the battle of the present. The cycle of light and dark clashing for an eternity, with the denizens of the galaxy caught in the middle--a cycle of hatred, that seemed almost willed by the force itself.

Max took off, and Oren knew he would need to do the same, but he peered back with the corner of his lone eye, a soft smile on his face before turning away from the young lost woman, "I never hated you, for anything..What happened to you, could have happened to anyone, you've made your mistakes like I've made mine. Life is difficult and a lot of what happens to you or I is out of our control, but we can learn to manage and channel this to better ourselves and those around us. The Darkside, it clouds your judgement, it's a constant battle between master morality and the shred of humanity that is taken with each action...I don't judge you, I don't hate you, I simply feel sorry for you."

He'd begin to step away, "Just as we can't dictate certain circumstances of our lives, there are moments in a person's life that they control their destiny, control the fate of who they become and who they truly are..Today is one of those days, whatever this darkness is we must destroy it, together..I believe that the force intertwined our lives, brought these actions upon us for this very moment, for us to either go our separate ways or to work to rid the galaxy of the darkness and corruption that stole your very life..You don't have to leave with me, you don't have to be a Jedi or a Sith, you can find who you are..I only ask that you help me."

He wouldn't stay to hear the answer, instead he would take off in the direction of Max, his own white blade drawn and ready as he ran, he would come to a skid, nearly twenty meters away from behind Max, he would peer out towards where the area that seemed to surround them, blade drawn in his right mechanical hand, and the force flowing and ready in his left for anyone that would attempt to oppose its destruction. They would destroy this darkness, and leave the Mandalorians with peace, to rebuild and to grow. This is the Jedi way.

The silence of the end of the battle came so quickly Adenn had thought he'd died. The Mandos were gone, the sith were gone and there was a hole in the street where a a mask laid.
Turjaryr... sorcery
He thought to himself. The truth was it was an illusion, all of it and his Anger and mistrust of the Jedi melted away. In truth the illusion was not of their making but of the mask and he could see now, that these illusions had no quarrel with the jedi because they must have been the ones the Tome of the First blade spoke of; pure intentioned.
I
It gave of a very weird feeling, that mask... there was something alluring about. In the depths of his soul adenn could feel it call to him, like it were speaking and yet... he couldnt hear anything. He saw one of the jedi come from their hiding place and call out
"Verda be Manda'yaim! te cursed relic be te darjetii enteyor cuyir kyrayc!"
It was terrible Mando'a, but Adenn understood. The evil thing DID need to be destroyed. He feared it falling into the hands of the Jedi for a simple reason; would they truly Destroy it? Or would they, as they have done so many other horribly dark things, archive it in their Managery of evil in one of their temples. He feared that, should the Dar'jetii attack the temple and seize it, there would be yet more destruction.
" If you mean to destroy this thing, then I will help you."
He called out to the one racing towards the mask. Adenn Quickly raced in the direction of the Jedi, to secure this cursed thing and if the jedi failed to obtain it then he would seize it and he would find a place for it to be housed, safe from ever harming his people.

Roland was almost going to smile at seeing the blaster bolts land but instead his face contorted into anger at seeing the red armored warrior become impaled by the crimson lightsaber of the Sith Lord. His hand slide his blaster deftly back into his holster and reached for a concusion grenade. The ranger would hesitate though as the stare of the Eternal looked at him. The so called Dark Lord of the sith and Eternal was right in front of him. Roland's cross visored helm reflected the green light as he looked up.

Roland's blaster hand came up to defensively shield him from the blast that blew the hood off his helm. The jetboot prolled flight in the air dropped slightly before he regained balance before falling to the ground. He would blink even after his disorientation faded in confusion. I should be dead

His eyes quickly found their way to the one thing that remained where the Eternal had stood. Quickly dropping down in front of the artifact, the Ranger switched his helmet to infrared. Holograms, or some mind trick, those can't lie to thermal imaging...right? He hoped, still trying to find evidence that there was a scientific and tactical reason why all these illusions had come and gone. Sufficed to say, Roland was trying to come to terms with the bizarre situation and keep an eye out for threats. His heart was beating against his chest plate harder than it had in a long time. But the vision mode change would not reveal anything though he could see the Jedi from a distance and those beyond them. He wondered how the Mandalorians were going to react to the Jedi being so close.

One of them, beared and with an eyepatch approached. Provided the Mandalorians didn't do anything Roland would still hold up his open palm to make the man stop before getting any closer. Another mandalorian would come close and would promptly get a flat palm to the chest and a shove back."Udesii" There was a lot going on and the Jedi definitely needed to give some answers. "You..." His palm turned into a pointing finger to the man with the eyepatch so Max knew he was talking to him. His hand would then dropped back down to his belt and resting on the pistol grip there. The other hand held his blaster with the muzzle pointing up but still ready. "...who are they." He jutted his helmet in the direction of Lilith as Oren was giving her some kind of speech. "...and the other aruetii. Zapan mentioned you were the only two. Are there really four of you what?" The last word was said in a slight growl to let the man know he didn't really have much patience at the moment.

The man beyond them peering back right at him it seemed, or rather the mask was the thing he was staring at. But Roland didn't want to point and give away the fact of who he was looking at and make the man hide or run. It would look like the ranger had gestured to Oren if anyone but otherwise was appearing to weigh the decision of arresting the Knight or doing his stereotypical ancestors proud by just shooting the man. But that was up to other people to profile. Roland wanted answers first.

As those still conscious approached the mask, coming down into the crater, they would feel the oppressive pressure of the thing's power start to shake their very souls. Even the Mandalorians, who weren't Force Sensitive, would feel that something was wrong, or at least very strange. The Jedi and Sith, able to see the mask closer, could almost view concentrated tendrils of the Force trying to slip from the sides of the Mask, making the air waver like a mirage in the desert. Even with the crater having been formed around it, the mask still seemed stuck hard in the ground, like a stopper tightly inserted into a drain. It reeked of power, of the Dark Side, that voice would return, something even the Mandalorians could hear as a whisper. An echo of a great and terrible power fueled those words, something even the Mask hadn't been able to generate in any stories that survived the millennia.

"You hesitate, your prize lies in front of you. I have grown tired of seeing this planet, it has devolved into cycles. Repetition leads to stagnation, which leads to boredom. Touch it, connect with it, allow it to move, see more of this galaxy and your people. You are far more amusing than these eternal warriors. Let me see you, tell me a new story. Or perhaps I should make my own...I suppose it will be up to you. One of the eyes of the mask would appear to open, showing the shadow of a violet cat-like eye. It looked to every person that was in the crater, though the palish hue to it would make one think it was blind, or vision impaired. When the gaze settled on one of them, though, it would feel like it was looking into their soul, reading every memory and experience that they had gone through, trying to learn everything it could about them. Then the eye would close, waiting for any of them to act upon it, the Force still trying to seep out from around the mask's edges.

The young Sith continued to stare at the ground as Oren spoke, though she was not truly looking at it. Her mind was in a far off place, her heart beat quickly, and her gut filled with more and more guilt. How could he not be mad? How could he not hate her? She hated herself for what she'd done to him, but her mind could not fully focus on his words as he went on.

Her focus skipped between the power and darkness in the crater, Oren's light and Ender who still loomed somewhere in the distance watching, waiting. She did not move or speak when Oren did because the conflict consumed her. The darkness told her she was giving into weakness, that she was pathetic, but Oren's presence, his words, pulled at her doubt.

But her mind was pulled to the words that suddenly pierced her mind, clear as day and from the pit that the mask sat in. There was something wrong about it. Wrong enough that her inner conflict was not enough to stop her from speaking, "The mask, it's history, the stories, none of it is foreign to the Sith Eternal, or new Order," she said, speaking loudly enough for those nearby to hear. "At least, not to those of us that have spent many hours, days, months digging into the archives until exhaustion."

Lilith suddenly felt a gaze fall over her, digging forcefully into her mind. One of her hands came up to her head as she attempted to fight it away from her mind. Her fingers dug into her head as she took steps backward and summoned her lightsaber hilt to her hand. "The mask is not one single entity or mind or whatever you want to call it, it is multiple. In everything I've read it considers itself a We," she continued after the pause. "Yet you did not say We have grown tired of seeing this planet. Touch Us, connect to Us." Her grip tightened around her hilt. "So if this isn't the mask speaking, then who is it?!" she growled. And why did it want them to take the mask? Why was it's voice coming from the crater?

Ender moved like a snake, slithering through cover smoothly as he made his way closer and closer to the crater. The Jedi and the Mandalorians managed to take out the Dark Lord and from where he was, the mask was able to be seen in the middle of the crater. The dark side oozed off of it and flooded the entire area in it's suffocating power, at least for the Jedi. Ender continued to drink the dark energy as it tasted like pure power to him. It was intoxicating but he realized what it meant as well.

Whoever was sitting on the throne back for the Sith Order, they were a fraud. Ender didn't need any more proof to realize that. The power that was emanating from the crater was something that couldn't be copied. Even if he didn't fully understand what was going on, it started to place doubts in his head about their current masked leader.

While people still fought the visions of the Sith Lord, Ender had been moving closer the entire time and wasn't going to let the opportunity slip. With his signature still masked, he quickly navigated into the breach while the others were preoccupied and got off the main road. By the time that Roland activated his thermal to see who was all there, Ender was on top of a building above them with the assistance of the force and would be hidden from view. The entire time his hand remained on his weapon in case anything happened or tried to stop him but still he remained out of the fight and kept a watchful gaze on the crater and what would happen. Lilith would feel the eyes of his staring in the back of her spine but it was about making sure her flank was covered and making sure she wasn't exposed.

Maxims stared at the Mask for a moment.

He was aware of everything else going on around but the Mask was still so incredibly captivating. It spoke to a part of himself deep inside and Maxims hated that there were even something darker for it to look at but all people had a darkness to them. Thankfully he could honestly say that he had never allowed his to rule him in any way, large or small. Maybe that was why he didn't feel the Dark Side lingering around the Mask as a pull so much as confirmation that the Mask was a perversion of the natural energies of the Galaxy.

It made his skin crawl.

"I have never felt more certain about anything in my life." he spoke aloud, staring down the Mask and it's there-but-not shadow of an eye, "I have no hesitation, abomination."

He drew his sword as he looked to the Mandalorian warrior who was already moving to assist him. Nodding to the other man, he activated the vibrosword in his hand.

"We stab at the same time - we shatter it. With it's physical vessel broken it should find it infinitely harder to manipulate the waking world."
he took a deep breath and raised his blade, "On three. One. Two."

Max didn't need to say three.

On the agreed upon time he thrust his vibrosword down in a stab designed to pierce the Mask through the middle. It would be suicide for him to touch it with his hands and the Force was likely always a bad move. Energy weapons like a lightsaber he could also see The Eternal protecting it's Mask against.

But a Vibrosword? It was the weapon of the Non-Force Sensitive. It was the weapon of peoples so far beneath the notice of Force Users high on their own power that Max honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Mask didn't have protections designed specifically to combat those peoples. Hopefully the worst case scenario was he was punished for this line of thinking and they could scratch something off the list.

But the chance of destroying the perverted thing? Everything he had ever been taught as a Jedi told him that destroying the Mask would help the Galaxy. That if he had to lay his life down to destroy it then it would be a life well-lived and well-ended.

The energy from that mask seemed to draw them in, the darkness it was stronger than Ifrane, stronger than the hidden caves on Lotho Minor. The coldness, the whispers, the soothing insidious voice rang through the air, tempting and drawing upon the darkness of all force users. Even the Jedi Master still felt some doubts or darkness, Nash's sweet golden eyes came to mind, his failure to save her, and his failures as a teacher, to save certain Jedi, the darkness drew upon these resolved feelings--creating or rather alluding to the idea that they could have been solved if he would have given in to the darkside, but that was a lie.

He had been training under the tutelage of Grand Master Wyck's holocron, studying and learning under the mystical's teacher's ways, all of his pain and understanding of the force had slowly expanding, and his words rang through his mind. Easier and more seductive the darkside is, but stronger it is not. A Jedi's strength comes from the peace and acceptance of their own failures, to learn and to grow..inner personal strength is the key to a Jedi, not external power. "Your word's mean nothing to me.." He'd say sharply towards the mask, as he kept his hand on his blade, activated and ready.

He felt Lilith behind him, and heard the words and suspicions of Roland as well as Lilith's words about the mask. "I felt her presence that is why I warned you," he'd say towards Roland, "I've known her for many years, we fought once, physically..these scars, my eye, they're from her. We fought on other occasions, about philosophy, guidance of the force...She was lead down the wrong path, by a man who was sworn to protect her..but, she's not gone, no one is..She saved my life once, on Naboo...and today. I know there is still good in her, so trust her."

He'd pause at Roland's mention of a fourth, it took him back, but through the darkness that seeped he hadn't considered it for a moment, that there could be others. He saw Max and the other Mandalorian move towards the mask, and he knew that they would need to be on their toes if there was truly another. "If there's another here...I don't know who they are.." He'd grip his blade as he peered out, stepping back a few feet--his back to Max and the Other Mandalorian, he'd peer towards Lilith, not out of anger, but acceptance--Our lives were connected through the force for this, all these years, for this moment. You can choose, to stand to make the galaxy better like you so wanted, or you can choose darkness...But, I won't make that decision for you..For the first time, you finally have that choice...He stood ready and on guard to protect Max and the other Mandalorian from The Wheel.
