Jackson L Samuel, a rising star within the corporate world of galactic industries, found himself at the mercy of pirates and scoundrels. What had brought this once bright and great future to come crumbling down, you may ask. None other then the Pirate Queen, Mae Tecono herself. You see, she and some of her trusted friends, had ambushed this rising stars wife at a market a week ago and ever since, Jackson has been enduring his new life as a puppet to the Queen.

Mae had successfully made a handful of back alley deals and black market twists to bring about a new company, the ORI: Outer Rim Industries. The connections and deals she had made were to secure legitimacy to the name of the new company, and the cherry on top, to make it all come together, had to be a name of a CEO that was also well known throughout the galaxy, or at least known in the right circles. That is where, Jackson L Samuel comes in. The puppet of a man placed in the CEO chair to give ORI the look of legitimate and serious business.

Mae had formed all of this, not to just create a empty shell, no, she had a plan that went two fold. One, she would use the ORI as a fence to sell stolen technologies that her and her friends had taken, and two, was to be the front when meeting with other legitimate companies and securing their support and business. Businesses such as the Czerka Industries.

It was important to Mae to have Rafe, the new leader of the Pyke's to be involved, not only for his assistance but to prove to him her seriousness in the undertaking she has taken.

Jacksons meeting with the head honchos at Czerka Industries went exactly according to plan. Some of them knew him from previous dealings or had attended the same schools. Mae and Rafe walked behind Jackson, posing as his advisors. When they felt like the conversation needed to be redirected back to business, they would whisper into his ear as if giving some sort of advice from advisors when in fact they were giving him orders.

After all the pleasantries had past and they had all caught up, they got down to business. "So Jackson, what have you come to us with today?" One of them asked him. He had been well rehearsed in what he was supposed to do at this meeting and being a bright and intellectual character, he needed very few promptings from Mae and Rafe to stay on point to the task ahead of him. "Well, as I took over ORI, one of my key points in my mission statement was to bring the company out of the shadows as a mere minor firm and to establish a platform for much bigger projects. In doing so, it is only logical, to secure the assistance of a company who has undertaken such projects before and have, how should I say, perfected the routine. This is where you come in. I'd like you and the Czerka Industries assistance in making this happen and in return, reward and pay you handsomely for it." He replied and glanced back at Mae and Rafe with a nod. This was their que to place the bribe as well as the contract in front of them. They opened the briefcase which allowed piles of credits to flow out and onto the table in front of them.

"We need a supplier of more advanced tech. We feel that you and the Czerka Industries are up to the task, however, my board of trustees need proof of all of the good work that I have told them that you do here, before they can sign over such a sizable contract. So as a gesture of good faith, we have delivered a large shell of a ship at one of your main ship yards. We require you to outfit it into a light carrier. All the details of this are in the paperwork and contracts before you. The parts for this will of course be paid for, and so will the labor, however, delivery of the finished product will be up to you as it will be the final test of your craftmanship." He spoke once more.

Rafe was out of place.. this was not his typical environment, and thinking back on it while they walked he probably should have sent someone else to assist Mae with this step of the plan. The massive wolf towered over the Pyke Pawn and Mae as they moved down the halls toward the office of the Czerka building they'd be meeting with the higher ups of the company.

The poor man's wife was in their custody, as they kidnapped her not long before this meeting, Rafe had maintained that she not be harmed while they kept her. So while her accommodations were scant, she was not in immediate danger, provided her husband cooperated. Rafe made sure Jackson knew he would be murdered and his wife would meet a much worse fate if he didn't cooperate, so Rafe was very relaxed for this stage of the operation, though still very much out of his typical elements of running the Pyke Syndicate, slave running.

Rafe sat comfortably when prompted and mostly stayed silent as their Pawn did the talking, everything thus far had gone according to plan, and as long as he maintained his lines and closed the deal, Rafe would have no reason to murder everyone, except Mae, in the room. Though he certainly wished he could light up a death stick. Rafe nodded at Mae behind Jackson's back, her plan was working well.

"And who will be the beneficiary of this new ship?" they asked with raised brows.

"Beneficiary? How do you mean?" Jackson responded.

"Where will this ship go and how will it be used? We cant just arm such a craft without knowing such basic details, even if we are being paid so handsomely for our efforts, we could lose our livelihood, we could lose our jobs" he replied.

"That is a very good point, and I assure you, this will become our show or floor model. It will most likely never leave our ship yard unless to defend such shipyard from attack, and that is why we need it fully loaded and ready" Jackson quickly replied. His lack of hesitation made Mae smile as it was a sign that he was not spitting false information back to them. It was important to Mae, even though they had Jacksons wife and were using him, that they only feed him information that he would need to know. She had coached him ahead of time with such answers and for all he knew that is exactly what the ship would be doing.

The men across from him excused themselves from the room to discuss how to proceed. When they returned, they agreed to the the deal and took the briefcase of bribe credits too, of course.

But before they cleared the room with a deal in place, they looked over at the big wolf. "It is odd to see such a creature as you in proceedings such as this. What area of expertise do you hold and what do you do for Mr. Samuel?" He was curious but maybe quizzing the Wolf a little too.

Rafe had been paying attention loosely, the human in front of him was certainly working hard ti earn back his wife, that much Rafe knew, it almost made him happy to see such a true and deep relationship existed in the Galaxy, this man was willing to put his entire life and reputation on the line just to get her back.. admirable to say the least.

The proceedings went along mostly as planned, Jackson even improvising well to a strain of questioning, Rafe would nod several times, pretending to be involved, but also silently hoping everything went well, this addition could spell great assets for the Pykes.

Finally a curveball was thrown as Rafe was directly questioned just before the meeting was called to an end, most certainly a very xenophobic question, as Rafe was the only non-human in the room, something he usually tried to avoid... I am Tradelixus Wrex, head of human resources for Mr. Jackson, I also moonlight as his personal bodyguard for ventures such as these, the Galaxy is a very dangerous place afterall, and Mr. Jackson finds it comforting to be in my presence whilst on trips such as these.. Rafe said with whatever you might call a smile on his face.

Hopefully they'd be content with the answer Rafe had fabricated on the spot, hands would be shaken, and the meeting adjourned, mostly. Being excused from the room was enough for Rafe to stand up, eager to get out of there, while also escorting Jackson away to the ship they'd arrived in.

Once they were alone and out of earshot, Rafe would lean over and say, That went well.. added a nod to Mae before continuing to speak to Jackson, With any luck you'll have your wife and your freedom in less than a month.. He added, though who knew, it could of be a lie..

Jackson looked from Rafe to Mae, "Lie.... what lie?" he shouted at her once they were in a private space. May just stuck up her finger to firstly silence him and secondly warn him. She hated drama and hated whining even more. "Of course you will be re-united with your wife. I am a woman of my word, however, now that I have seen up front and personal, how well you lie under pressure, I am afraid your employment with us has been extended." She replied.

She let that soak in a little and watched as his eyes sunk to the floor and then back up at her "For how long?" he asked in shortened breath. She looked at Rafe with a smile before looking back at Jackson and said, "Well as long as you would like you wife to live of course." She then continued to escort the two back to their ship. This was probably the most villainous that she had ever been, well besides shooting a guy in the jewels before walking away and leaving him to live like that for the rest of his days, that is.

With Jackson sobbing as they returned to the ship, Mae looked up at Rafe with a large grin on her face. They had successfully pulled off their ruse and would have a new carrier in service very shortly.

Rafe laughed as they boarded the ship, it was the nice and easy missions like this he usually enjoyed, Mae had done all the planning, and the whole thing was executed perfectly. Provided the payout actually happened, Rafe would probably petition Mae to let the man go if she didn't actually have plans for him, though if she did though, well his life was forfeit anyway.

The man's whimpers had started to annoy Rafe after they'd started to fly away. Slamming the man in the chest with the back of his claw, he fell backwards, Staahp whining... Rafe ordered, you'll see her again soon.. he added rolling his eyes while he looked at @Mae Tecono. What are they building that thing into anyway? Rafe asked Mae as they flew away.
