The day on Ajan Kloss wasn't actually the worst. Although there was a darkness that lingered in this place, the day itself was rather beautiful. The sun was shining - although on its down shift now - and Arla had arrived early enough to spend most of the day here.

It was strange to her that she had never been to this place despite the significance it held for her parents, but up until now, she had never really had a reason. Her arrival early had also served to ensure this wasn't a trap. She had reached out to Vahliri about a side project that she had been working on, and had been given the contact information for one of the up and coming instructors in Sith arts. It was a name she didn't know or recognize, but it wasn't shocking... she'd been out of that circle for a long time now.

She waited, sitting on one of broken walls of the old Jedi temple for her new... acquaintance to arrive. Truthfully, she had no real idea what to expect, but her curiosity was piqued and the idea of actually managing to accomplish the goal that had long been in the back of her mind was... enticing.

Azar had been wanting to return to Ajan Kloss since first uncovering the corrupted nexus that housed the fragmented spirit of what he guessed to be Raze. He wasn’t brave enough to venture back into that realm by himself, so he didn’t bother. However, he planned on finding some excuse to return and one landed in his lap courtesy of the Dark Lord. He was to meet with Arla, a Night Sister that was formerly aligned with the Sith Order. Azar was told this was the daughter of the former Sith Empress, but little beyond that.

The Pureblood quietly arrived at the rendezvous point, dressed in formal robes. He gave a polite nod, his gaze lingering briefly on the strikingly silver eyes. He had seen Echani eyes, but there was something especially vivid about these. Azar offered a smile, “Greetings Arla,” He said, “I am Azar Kressh,” He introduced himself.

Almost immediately his gaze flicked down to the amulet around her neck, his eyes widening in surprise. He said nothing about it, his eyes flicking back to meet hers, but she would have caught the recognition on his face.

Arla watched the man as he arrived, a Pureblood Sith at that. Interesting. She thought back to the time that she had spent briefly among the desert tribes of Korriban during her days with the Order. It had been at Vahliri's recommendation that the two of them were put in contact, so she assumed that he was good at what he did.

The way his eyes fell to the amulet and seemed to recognize it in some way told her that he had an eye for the job at least.

Nice to meet you, Azar, she said. Kressh, she thought, recognizing the name. She had never met a Kressh before, but the lineage was one of the Nobles if she recalled correctly.

She dropped down from the wall she was sitting on, extending a hand out to shake his. I hear you're one of the Order's leading experts on alchemy, sorcery, and the arcane, she said. It used to be that she was one of the up and coming Sith arcanists, but her path had diverged. She looked into those golden eyes and wondered to herself where he would be in a dozen years. She could sense in the Force that his path would take him to great places, though where, she didn't know. And yet, she found it fascinating, and she was prudent enough to heed such premonitions.

Azar smirked at her describing him as a leading expert on alchemy and arcane, “To not be so would be as absurd as you knowing nothing of magick,” He said smoothly. He was, after all, Kissai. Alchemy was as much in his blood as magick was in hers. Azar’s gaze panned out over the horizon towards the temple that had been corrupted beyond recognition.

“You have ties to that temple,” He said simply, “There is a signature there that is similar to what I sense in you,” Azar observed before he turned to regard her again.

“What may I assist you with?”

He smirked, but for a moment, Arla wondered if she had offended him. Reading people wasn't her specialty, but she took it as not being offensive, decided she liked that answer, and pressed on with her thoughts. It was a confirmation at least that he was the person she was looking for.

He pointed out her ties to the temple, and her head tilted slightly to the side. She considered a moment denying it, but there was little point. He could clearly sense it, and to lie about it was just foolish at this point.

Yes, this temple is... she paused, unsure of how to even describe it ...significant to my heritage, she decided to say. Evidently, Vahliri had told him about her history with Mother, but even Vahliri didn't know who her father was. The answer was truthful but vague enough not to give away too much, though given how he was eyeing her amulet, she had to wonder if he had already figured it out.

I want to find a way to open gateways to the world between worlds, she said. It was something that others had aspired to before, and it was no small task. However, it would be of near-infinite value to whoever managed it.
