The Core

*The Core makes it's way down the hyperspace route between Corellia and Coruscant. Shadow lies in bed with her eyes open, not that it makes any difference anyway, and examines the memories of Masuko Jaal. Some of them are confusing, but most of them make sense.*

*the computers of the core become active as Shadow remotely accesses the databanks.*

 

[SophiaM]

*The fighter landed in the docking bay, scorch marks all over it from blasting through the hanger bay back on tattooine. Masuko had managed to track the ship by hacking into the fighter's homing becon and backtracing it. She could feel Shadow trying to take control again and this was evidant by the fact she appeared to be shouting at herself.*

I won't let you take my body again! I'll kill myself if I have to!

Shut up you wimp. You may have created me but I am stronger.

*As the dialogue got more heated she ran through the corridoors and up to the control centre on the bridge. She jumped into it and Masuko pulled the computer spike out of the back of her neck so she could jack in.*

It won't work Masuko, you know my sub-routines will force me to kill you and live in the ship's core.

That's what I'm hoping for bitch!

*It was Masuko's plan to force Shadow into the ship's computer core and set off the self destruct. Masuko was dying anyway and she couldn't let Shadow free to roam the galaxy, she was too unstable and would eventually begin to degrade and go even more insane than she already was.*

*Masuko was right, Shadow had taken the bait and left her body and uploaded herself into the ship's memory core. Masuko jacked out while she had the chance and she rubbed that back of her neck. Shadow's voice came over the pr.*

You may have got me out of your body, but I still have control of the ship.

*At that moment, the gravity on the ship was dissabled and the environmental systems shut down.*

And you forgot that I can survive in zero-grav and zero-air much longer than your average human!

*Masuko pushed off from the control centre and fly towards one of the consoles. She'd have to do this the old fasion way. She landed and began to access the ship's memory core. Shadow fought her all the way but Masuko was one of the best hackers around, she was taught by her mum after all. It took some doing but she managed to get the ship out of orbit and set the self destruct to manual.*

Any last words Shadow?

You absolute fu..........

*Masuko did what she could to brace herself for being blown to bits. She was going to die soon anyway from the Hex and there was nothing more the vaccine could do for her. She pressed the button just as Shadow started her third word and the ship's proton cores and hyper drive exploded right on cue. From the surface of Tattooine the explosion could be seen if you happened to be looking up. Masuko had managed to get the ship as far away so nothing would land on the surface after being blown clear of the main explosion but it was still enough to see it.*
