Location: Teth, in orbit.

Mi'la double checked the navigation coordinates on her aging navi-computer and nodded in satisfaction. This was the world she had heard about, long abandoned by the B'omarr Monks, with dozens of these impressive fortresses being left behind. Surely, Mi'la thought, if any jedi were to go into hiding, this would be the place. Her old YT-1300 still had some fire in her engines, as it would be a few minutes before they were going to drop out of hyperspace. She leaned back in her pilot seat, pressing down on the intercom as she spoke. "Brahe, we'll be dropping out of hyperspace soon, so best get yourself ready." Her tone was calm and relaxed, as per usual, though her padawan seemed determined to break that habit of hers. He would fail of course, least if she had anything to say about it. The computer system decided now it would be time to throw a hissy fit, as it let out a torrent of beeps and warnings, to which Mi'la only smiled and pulled up the issue. The conductor coils were apparently going out, which was a bit. Well, that was going to be a pain to replaced, but they would have plenty of time to address that issue. It wasn't anything to get her lekku's up in a knot about it, but it was times like this that she wished she had a droid. If anything, having a padawan reminded her all of the reasons for why she never wanted children; which was made all more easier with her current lifestyle.

Brahe grew up in the icy tundras of Krownest, racing star fighters in his spare time, so he already had a natural knack and passion for piloting and mechanical work on starships. The son of a wealthy Sienar-Jaemus employee, Brahe knew all sorts of stuff about the inner workings of the twin ion engine due to having worked on scrapyard ones all his life. He was a natural when it came to work on starships, but then again, a TIE LN was not a Corellian YT-1300 freighter.

Brahe was underneath one of the walkway panels in the hall, working on the conductor coils while the ship was mid-movement. The conductor coils were dimming and clearly corroded to the point where most individuals would have tossed them long ago, but Brahe had seen these components brought back to life before. Usually, back on his home planet he had to use a source of intense heat, coupled with a plasma scrub to resurface the coils and re-energize them for use in the starships, which was easier said than done due to the extremely cold climate back on Krownest. But alas, this wasn’t Krownest, which luckily made the task even easier!

He levitated a piece of scrap metal near him, activating his lightsaber and running the blade along the scrap’s edge, taking care to superheat the metal just enough to where it was red-hot, but not dripping everywhere. Then, floating the superheated metal near the coils, he began scraping away at the corroded surfaces, and the coils began to glow warmer with intensity, till they sprang back, damn near good as new!

The lights in the starship flickered as a surge of energy rattled the ship, shuddering the controls. Then his master spoke to him over the intercom, breaking his concentration.

The superheated piece of metal landed on his foot, igniting a portion of his boot almost instantly, and bringing the young padawan into a brief state of panic.

“Aahh! H-hot! Aaaah!” He whispered to himself frantically as he hopped up, slamming his head on the walkway grating. Pain surged through his body as he scrambled out from under the walkway, putting out the fire on his boot and letting the superheated piece of metal cool on the cold durasteel floor of the maintenance crawlspace while he rubbed his head, tending to his wounds.

“J-just a moment, master!” He said back to her over the intercom. It wasn’t long before he appeared in the cockpit, blushing a bit out of embarrassment. After all, his face and robes were smeared partially in Starfighter grease, his left boot had a burn mark on it, and he had a fresh trickle of blood on his forehead.

“I uhm…..I fixed the conductor coils!” He said, hoping she’d at least approve of that.

The lights in the cockpit dimmed then went back to normal lighting, as Mila glanced up at the lights with a bit of confusion. She heard her padawan over the intercom mention he was coming, maybe he could help her look into this new development. She stood up and moved over to her power terminal, and reported a large surge in the engine room, then a notification that the conductor coils were....fine now? Was something going wrong with the diagnostic systems again? The Jabberwocky had been acting up as of late, it always had but Mila loved that about her ship, though maybe it was time to find a mechanic to fix it up. She looked a tad perplexed, as she pulled up the data and tried to see what might be causing an issue, then her padawan walked in and it all started to make sense.

Looking over to Brahe as the door opened, Mila's head tilted to to the side, her Lekku twitching at the smoke coming off her padawan's boot and the blood trickling from his head. She smiled a tad at his claim to have fix the conductor coil, but she was a tad more concerned with his state of being. He looked rather...well, dirty. "Brahe, are you okay?" She asked, stepping closer to him, as she gave him a once over, trying to see if he needed any medical attention; other than that cut he seemed to be okay. "I was wondering what was causing that system malfunction, but sounds like you got it all sorted out." She smiled slightly, before reaching for the first aid kit, taking out some gaze and bandages. "Just need to do another check on the systems when we lift off, Jabberwocky is getting up in the years, you know?" She commented, taking a swab and wiping the blood away, before applying a bandage. The ship's computer began beeping again, as it's auto pilot system was bringing them closer to the purple colored world. Mila turned her gaze back to the cockpit, looking at the approaching world, seeing. "This is Teth, it used to be a world for an order of monks, and if my suspicions are correct, jedi may have come here and tried to hide some of their knowledge on this world. Exciting isn't it?" She commented, looking to Brahe with that small smile on display. Maybe without the temptation of women he could actually learn something this time, that would be rather pleasant.

He smiled and shrugged. He nodded when she asked if he was okay- the bleeding on his head was little more than a superficial wound. The blood was already beginning to dry, but he accepted the bandages and gauze, treating his wounds rather casually.

“If you say so, master…” She’d clearly be able to see his lack of enthusiasm about looking for “old people stuff”. Frankly, he was more interested in finding out if there were any attractive local girls he could meet. But his master already knew that like she knew the back of her hand…It was very easy to tell that an 18 year old teenage boy had little more than lewd thoughts on the mind almost half of every given day. But this was the natural order of things, so could you blame him?

“I could always help you outfit the ship with a twin ion engine. It’d sound like a TIE fighter, but those are a lot easier for me to work on! Maybe two or three interceptor modules…that would make this thing screamingly fast!” He smiled at Mi’la, hoping for at least some approval, but not expecting it. After all, she knew him to be quite the gearhead when it came to starships.

Brahe peered out the cockpit window of the freighter, taking in the view of the planet.

“It’s so….purple…..” He said, raising an eyebrow, lost in thought.

It wasn’t long before he smiled and snickered a moment later.

“It’s as purple as you, master!”

He was young, and she couldn't fault him for his ways. She had been like him once upon a time, obsessed over boys and just wanting to get into all sorts of trouble. But those were her younger years, and she had left that person far behind. In time, Brahe would evolve as she had, though that again required the passage of time to occur. "Look at it this way, least we aren't going rock farming in the dune sea. That is rather unpleasant I have been told." And indeed it was, Tatooine was one world Mila had no intrest in seeing again.

Her lip twitched rather violently as he suggested removing the Jabberwocky's engines out for a twin ion engine, which was probably the most insane thing she had heard in the last few years. She immediately disapproved of this idea, as she shook her head to indicate a most definitive 'no'. "Ion engines would have no chance of propelling this ship forward, not to mention they lack the fuel expenditure needed for a craft this size, and offer rather limited mobility for maneuvers with this craft." Mila was something of a gear head herself, and knew well enough that Tie Fighters were expendable for a reason; and she would never, ever, consider swapping out her ship parts for something like Tie engine parts. "I'd have to couple several engines together to even move this vessel. I just don't see that happening Brahe." She kept her tone civil and calm, clearly he just had a prefence for a certain model and was trying to be helpful; which she appreciated, but this ship was something she valued very dearly.

He seemed to be quite taken with the new planet though, as she took her pilot station and switched off the auto pilot, wanting to take the ship in manually. Brahe made a comment about the world being as purple as herself, which caused the faintest sign of a blush to form upon her face. "You think so? I always thought of myself as an upbeat pink color." She responded, throttling back on the engines as they came screaming through the atmosphere, the Jabberwocky making its presence known to the world below. There was actually a stone landing platform on one such temple, which Mila took advantage of with great haste, as she banked the ship around and settled into place upon it. The platform sat a good fifty feet off the ground below, with a stone walkway connecting to a rather large temple complex. This was just one of many temples, but it seemed like as good place as any to start. With the ship now in a safe location, and the land gears locked into place, Mila rose from her seat and turned to her padawan, hoping he'd find something worth while in the endeavor.

Brahe frowned and shook his head in disagreement. "I dunno master....the twin ion engine has a lot of capabilities I think you're not taking into consideration. Have you seen the speed on a TIE with a Ps-7 twin ion engine coupled with an S/min-12a hyperdrive? And don't get me started on the boost potential if you throw in a miniaturized primary hyper matter annihilation reactor! If you daisy chain a couple to the Jabberwocky's subframe, the boost potential is insane! And those aren't even the latest models!"

He smirked when she asked about her skin tone.

"I think it depends on the lighting. No worries master, since you're so pretty regardless, I'm sure you will find your soul mate eventually!" He joked, knowing that she might be flustered by that comment.....or not. She was hard to read at times after all. In all honesty though, Brahe cared about Mi'la like his own family. She had taught him the ways of the Jedi as early as when he was no more than 13 years old, and to him, she was like a second mom. That wasn't to say he no longer was around his biological family- in fact he often visited to check in on them, but his mother had been vehemently opposed to the idea of him joining the order, and it wasn't until Brahe's father convinced her, that she finally reluctantly allowed Brahe to pursue the Jedi path.

His hands grabbed the rim of the nearby seat as they entered atmosphere, and before long, they had arrived at their intended destination. He followed his master, letting out a carefree yawn as he followed her outside the ship and onto the massive stone platform that marked the beginnings of their steps into the ancient temple. Looking around at the purple scenery, he couldn't help but be fascinated.

"Wow....and to think this was all in the unknown regions...an entire planet covered in jungles and ancient temples...Why this temple in particular though, master? There's plenty around here....is there something special about this specific one?"

Mila scratched the side of her temple with one finger, trying to think how best to respond to that statement. She didn't see the point of hooking up several engines to one another, especially to an old lady like The Jabberwocky. After a long pause, Mila decided to just speak from the heart. "I disagree. Firstly, I can't afford such an upgrade. Secondly, the maintenance cost is going to be far higher than my nonexistent salary can afford, and thirdly I don't think that is compatible with my Jabberwocky." She gave a smile and went to man the helm, but the comment about her skin tone earned him a scrunched eyebrow, though the color on her cheeks grew ever so slightly. "I'm not looking for a soulmate Brahe, but it's very sweet of you to say such things." She shook her head in amusement at his little jesting, having grown accustomed to the circus act that was her longest standing padawan. He was a sweet boy, but if he wanted to be dedicated to this life as she was, he'd have to leave the women behind; she had the same struggle at one point, that part of her life was behind her now.

Walking down the ramp, it became rather obvious to the pair that this planet was....interesting to say the least. The sun seemed to be shrouded in an inky purple cloud, as a strange purplish glow seemed to cover everything in sight. The platform they had landed on was elevated above the entrance of the temple, seemed they had landed on a side entrance to the temple, with a small opening in the stone platform that lead down to the bridge below. Brahe inquired why she had picked this temple in particular, and being frank Mila had no real explication to offer; well, nothing based in facts. "I just felt it in my gut. My old man once told me 'Mila, when you embark on adventure, your gut will never lead you astray. It'll tell you when your hungry, or when you screwed up, so take good care of it, and it'll take good care of you'." She finished the sentence with a smile aimed her padawan, though he would have heard this quote for perhaps the five thousandth time. "So that is why we are here." She would take the lead, beginning the slow descent down the stairs, as she used the force to guide herself through the darkness. Some of the stone stairs in here had been weakened with time and erosion, and it at least seemed that saber scars or carbon scoring had occurred within the confines of the stairwell. Very curious.

While Mila couldn't exactly 'see' it with her eyes, she sensed it, and what she was sensing confirmed to her that some sort of conflict had broken out in this place. "Mind your step, not all of these stones are sturdy." She warned, keeping her pace slow ad easy to keep up with, occasionally stepping over a stone that looked particularly loosened. She kept most of her attention on her padawan though, seeing if he could navigate this path without incident, and if he happened to risk falling through the floor, she would rush to intercede; least he be harmed.

Brahe raised an eyebrow in curiosity as he examined the sky, noting the strange, inky purple cloud shrouding the sun from total view. He wondered what kind of interstellar phenomenon was causing that to happen- after all, he was no scientist or astronomer. The seat of his skills currently laid more in the realm of the starship gearhead and ace fighter pilot- things that sometimes were more about intuition than a specific and strong grasp of science.

"Well, my gut tells me that there aren't any cute girls on this planet. Apart from you of course, master." He stated rather nonchalantly. He let out a yawn as they descended into the stairwell, leaving the illumination of the stone platform for the dark confines of the approach stairwell.

He mentally stopped himself for a moment when he realized she was talking about her practically non-existent salary. "Wait a second, master....you mean to tell me that you're not getting paid?" How does the order expect you to live?" He never really considered the concept of money too much in his life- his family had more than enough sway in Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems and Engineering to pay the bills and put food on the table.

Rather impatiently, the young padawan ignited his purple lightsaber, casting a glow in the stairway for him to be able to see more clearly. To him, there was no real use in making the descent any harder than it already was. The purple light reflected off the walls, painting his silvery white hair in the purple glow.

"Sorry master, just trying to see where I'm stepping. Can you see very well in here? I don't know how you can see anything in this darkness...."

He looked at the walls and floor, noting the lightsaber scoring and scorch marks littering the corridor.

"Maybe the imperials showed up here? There's a lot of damage in this stairwell....almost like someone was escaping."

He pulled out his data pad with one hand, scanning the stairwell for structural weaknesses. It seemed to be in pretty poor condition- his master's intuition had served her well. Satisfied, he placed the data pad back in his belt pouch and continued to follow her.

"My gut tells me that as well, perhaps your intuition has grown more keen my young apprentice." She commented with a touch of humor, knowing that the moment her padawan spotted a woman all hope would be lost. Until then, she could focus on getting him to learn something, least that's what the hope was. She shook her head once more as her padawan asked about not getting paid. How did he not know this? He had known her since he was a boy. Silly child. "Of course, I operate purely off the savings I acquired during my younger days, and the help of some thankful denizens of the galaxy." She explained, thinking that perhaps the young man would understand what being a jedi entails. "Hence why I keep telling you to find women who aren't too expensive. You won't have money as a jedi, you have to make due with what you have. If you are so insistent on finding a woman, find someone who will love you for you. That's all I can offer as advice my young apprentice." She didn't tell him that if he went that route, his obligations as a member of the order would suffer. But Brahe was an adult now, and in time he could make his own decisions. She wouldn't stop him if that was the path he wanted to embark upon, but she could try her best to steer him away from such things.

She flinched a tad as his lightsaber flared to life, seemed he needed the light to see. "You just reach out with your senses Brahe, feel the walls, the steps under your feet, become part of the stone, part of the planet. Can you feel it's heartbeat? The wind blowing upon the temple?" Mila asked, pausing in the stairs, hoping her padawan would attempt the act she had described. "Could have been first order as well. These places are ancient, which means that everything in here is probably very fragile." She would continue moving on, smiling as her padawan was using tech to learn what she had with the force. "But you are right, perhaps someone had been hiding here and had to take flight." Reaching the bottom of the stairs, hopefully without incident, she would look back to her padawan. "I think this requires a further look, don't you think?" She smiled, as they would walk onto the walkway, where about fifty feet below them laid a vast forrest of purple flora.

“Of course master.” He followed her onto the walkway, once again marveling at the view. Turning off his lightsaber, he attempted to do exactly as she had described; to become one with the stone, to feel the world around him. It was easier said than done- Brahe’s mind was naturally all over the place, given his outgoing and inquisitive nature. It was only when he was concentrating on the inner workings of a starship or piloting one that he ever felt like he could even begin to focus at the levels required to sense the force around him. Whether it was a strike of luck or fate that he happened to be good at those two things could only be attributed to the force. The force made pilots better by nature of what it allowed- the instinct in guidance of the machine through the air, coupled with that sensation of total freedom.

His gaze wandered to the purple flora below, and he couldn’t help but get this peculiar feeling about the place. It felt almost like it drew him in, asked him to partake of his surroundings. He couldn’t grasp what it was specifically, but as he drew closer to the temple, he felt even stranger, almost like his excitement was rising at the possibility of a new discovery. But it was more of a feeling that came from within. Something that felt locked away, but now was beginning to unravel as steadily as that purple ink that blotted the sky and cast it’s strange glow upon the planet.

“Master….I have an odd feeling about this…”

She could feel her padawan reaching out with the force, feeling his familiar presence encompass her. She didn't reach back of course, knowing that doing so would pry into the young mans mind, and she'd rather not do that at current. As they began to walk across the walk way, Mila felt something unusual as well, and when backed by the discomfort of her padawan. She kept quiet though, as she herself was trying to figure out what this strange sensation was. When Brahe spoke, Mila asked in a very calm tone, "What are you sensing Brahe?" She wasn't concerned, not yet, but if it came to conflict she would be ready; she was always ready. This temple had been used at one point by someone, but did it harbor a dark secret? That remained to be seen. Something was unnatural about this world, and whatever that something was, Mila and her trusty padawan would get to the bottom of it.

The feeling was unnerving, but also strangely compelling in it's effort to draw the padawan in.

"It's as if this place calls to me...almost in an urgent way. I can feel the force ebb and flow around me like a river, guiding me down this path....shall we follow it, master? I don't really understand what to expect, but.....but my gut tells me to follow it."

A look of concern washed over his face, as he took a few steps closer to the entrance of the temple. He hesitated for a moment, but then the first step happened. Then the second. He turned around to look at his master, a strange sense of wonderment on his face. Why did he feel deja vu at this moment? As if everything in his life, and his greater purpose, were to be revealed here? The feeling was strangely compelling, and the desire to know gnawed at the edges of his mind like a group of sharks circling when there was blood in the water. He turned to his master, giving her that look as if asking to hurry, to see the truth of this place unravel like a tensioned coil trapped under pressure for thousands of years. It was a look asking for permission, and if her initial response indicated a no, it would become a plea. His curiosity was unnaturally getting the best of him in this moment. Something seemed strange. Something seemed....off.

Something gave him the feeling that whatever was on this purple planet, out here in the middle of nowhere, there was a great truth to be had, and a great purpose to unlock. Perhaps an even greater power revealed?

He could not help but want to find out now.

Mila turned back to her student as he explained his feelings about this place a sense of pride blossomed in her chest. Brahe was growing in his force potential, and this discovery was going to be important in his growth as not only a jedi, but as one connected with the force.

A rather bright smile stretched over her features, as she looked to her apprentice, nodding as he asked her to continue to explore this sensation he was feeling. She assumed this was something akin to a parent watching their child grow, because while she had no child of her own, she had seen her padawan grow both physically and mentally. Made her very proud. "Yes, we will follow it, and I think since it's your gut speaking to you, I'd be honored if you lead us towards it." She smiled and stepped aside, motioning for Brahe to lead on. She could certainly feel the ebbs and flows of the force about this place, but she wasn't moving with the current as he was. A hand moved to her lightsaber, just in case something that wished to harm them made itself known. The purple haze seemed to shift around the in the sky above, almost like the planet was reacting to the arrival of the new comers. Mila was curious what the force was trying to tell her apprentice, but only time would tell what such things would reveal.

Brahe would sense a call coming from within the temple, deep down, something was calling out to him. It wasn't a dark presence, not something of the dark side clearly, but there was something down in there calling for him.

Brahe nodded, and made his way into the temple. The air was cooler inside of the temple, the lack of sunlight and the dull stone floor making for a slight chill that crept up exposed skin. The lighting was just as strange as it had been in the outside air, the skylights of the temple letting in more of that cool purple glow to illuminate portions of the interior of the temple. The entrance room was vast, filled with grand stone pillars and monuments to ancient figures of the past. Brahe felt dwarfed by their immense stature, their grandeur speaking of a long and storied past.

But what was most interesting of all was a grand tapestry that lined the wall adjacent to the entrance- an enormous mural of ancient design dating back thousands of years. The force called Brahe to that wall, as if it contained the answers he sought. The mural was absolutely massive in scale, dwarfing anything he had seen in his life. It depicted long and storied battles, decades of war, the conflict between the light and the dark. But more interestingly, it seemed to be a tapestry of galactic history, as the further along one looked along the mural, the more they saw of events that had transpired only a couple hundred years ago.

"Master.....this is....something else....."

He said, bewildered by the sheer scale of it all. He got closer to the mural, sliding a hand over the cold hewn stone as he examined it's intricacies.

There was a strangeness in the air, and Mila was almost certain her apprentice felt it as well. It felt like she had just walked through a carbon freezing chamber, as the cold seemed to cling onto her and sink through her robes. How strange. The footfalls of the two jedi echoed through the abandoned temple, an almost creepy atmosphere descended upon the two. Mila reached out and put a hand on her padawan's shoulder, making sure that if anything happened to her beloved student, she would be the first to know. Brahe lead her own, and it soon became clear where they were heading to, as it turned out to be a large stone slab with rather intense markings and descriptions carved into it.

Mila's eyes widened as she looked it over, her mouth dropping down just a tad as she looked it over, amazed by the detail and size of this mural that sat before them. "By the force." She muttered in a rare show casing of genuine shock at the display. "I agree." She commented, trying to make sense of the symbols and words, as they didn't seem to be just some random carvings, someone took time for this.

Brahe's fingers would touch upon something odd as he laid his hand upon the stone. One of the indentures seemed to be that of a character, and upon exploring the indenture, he would seen recognize that the characters spelled out his name on this one section of the mural. A rather odd coincidence if nothing else, but it seemed rather odd coincidence at that.

The force is like a cloud, a mist that drifts from living creature to creature, set in motion by currents and eddies. It is the eye of the storm, the passions of all living things turned into energy, into a chorus. It is the rising swell at the end of life, the promise of new territories and new blood, the call of new mysteries in the dark.

A voice echoed in his mind of a voice he did not recognize, but it felt strangely familiar. He felt he should know that voice, but he could not place it on any one individual. It was a strange feeling that only got stronger as the words echoed in his mind. Brahe stopped, looking at the characters spelling his name on the cold, lifeless stone. The force echoed around him, the ebb and flow of it's current encouraging further investigation. The mural depicted a mandalorian warrior and a First Order special forces soldier engaging one another, above what appeared to be a figure resembling Brahe himself. Next to that image, the shape of a woman reaching for his hand. Brahe raised an eyebrow, looking closer. Surrounding this section of the mural was a depiction of a dogfight, a multitude of X wings and TIE variants locked in what appeared to be a harrowing dogfight. He didn't understand- could this have been a coincidence? Why else would the mural depict someone that looked so similar to him? Who were the other figures? He didn't know, but the mural legitimately struck fear in the padawan.

"Master....." He bit his lip. "This is getting a little.....strange. Too strange to be real...."[color] He said, pointing at the mural, specifically at the part that mentioned him.

Mila scowled and tilted her head. She couldn't make out what this tablet was saying, infact it read as complete gibberish. She could only make out Brahe's name, and little else. She pulled her hand back as Brahe called for her attention, and at once looked upon it. This seemed to be part of a greater whole, something that hinted at a greater event to come. Why was Brahe's name here though. "I agree." She commented, stepping a tad closer to inspect the image more thoroughly. "I think someone knew you would return to this temple, but the question remains, why and how?" The force moved in mysterious ways, and Mila did not believe in coincidence.

The pair would feel a disturbance through the force however, as if the temple was shaking. The sound of bombs echoed through the hall, and both Mila and Brahe would sense movement behind them. Turning to face it, they would see an entire division of First Order soldiers moving towards them, weapons leveled. "Halt! Drop your weapons!" The men shouted, as Mila pushed Brahe and looked on in confusion. The First Order had long since been dead, so what was going on here? This couldn't be right. Whatever was happening, Mila needed to keep her student safe, and it was rather obvious that these men wouldn't be willing to let them go peacefully. She could see an entire divison of the men rushing in from the bridge, there was far too many for a straight head to head fight here. Escape was the only option. "Brahe, run." Mila muttered, before calling upon the force and sending the massive stone column down and infront of them, prompting the troopers to open fire on the pair.

Brahe was initially surprised by the shove Mila gave, but stumbling to regain his footing, he ignited his lightsaber once more upon seeing the approaching threat. "Master, I won't leave you behind!" He exclaimed, a hint of panic in his voice as the fear crept in due to how many first order troopers were incoming. He crouched behind the fallen pillar in an attempt to avoid getting shot, when suddenly he felt an immense force grip him, as if every cell in his body was being strangled to death. With his free left hand, he grasped at his neck in an attempt to alleviate the horrible sensation, before he was lifted into the air, and then launched into a pillar 10 feet from where he once stood.

The iconic, infamous sound of Vader's rebreather echoed in the chamber, the Sith Lord himself emerging from the shadows and attacking Brahe. The poor padawan, dazed by the initial attack, only barely managed to block a vertical swing from the Sith lord's lightsaber. He began to scramble away, trying his best to block the powerful, incoming swings to no avail. "M-master!" He exclaimed, the fear evident in his voice. Another vertical slash, and Brahe's lightsaber flew from his grip, skidding across the floor, deactivated. He rolled away, to his feet, panting heavily.

The situation didn't make sense- none of it at all. Vader was supposed to be long gone. The First Order, long gone. Why were they here now?

Mila watched as the blaster fire impacted the stonework, her saber came into play as she attempted to knock away the blasts, and with some aid from the pillar she had just thrown, this seemed to be working in their advantage. The stone took out several of the troopers, striking the sides of the hallway and kicking up obscuring dust and debris as the front of the temple seemed to collapse. Mila didn't have time to breath however, as she heard Brahe shout in horror, and to Mila's shock she witnessed a sight she had only gleamed from holobooks; Darth Vader. "Impossible." She muttered, as she turned her saber towards the Sith. Vader was baring down on her son, and while Brahe tried in vain to defend himself, Mila knew what the end result would be. In that moment there was only had one course of action to follow. "NO!" She shouted, leaping into the path of Vader as she swung her saber upwards, aiming to slice into the right arm of the cyborg. Mila had moved with all the speed she could must, her green blade lashing out, only to find herself held captive in midair as the cyborg held out his hand, pressure building around her throat as she felt the life being crushed out of her.

Vader turned to face her now, the cold beginning to dig into her flesh, as the Darth walked towards her slowly, his footsteps heavy as he was taking his time. "Pathetic." His metallic voice spoke, as with another gesture of his hand, Mila was sent flying, smashing throw a section of the monolith, and being slammed into the hard stone floor. Her saber went flying, bouncing away into the darkness, as she herself was barely hanging on to consciousness. The Darth turned to face Brahe, as he began to stomp towards the boy, as Mila watched on from a half dazed continue. "Brahe..." She muttered weakly, reaching out towards him, but lacking the strength to rush to his aid. This couldn't be happening, this had to be some sort of nightmare.

"No.....no....no...no...no.....s-stay back....s-stop!" Brahe was desperate to save them both from Vader's onslaught. A slurry of raw emotion surged through him, and the fear he held reached previously unheard of heights. His hands were shaking, his breathing labored. The First Order Stormtroopers closed in...

The emotion swelled and hit him like a wave, and he could feel an almost primal instinct awaken within him. An instinct of raw power, raw focus, raw energy.

"STOP!!!!!"

Lightning surged from his hands, coursing through Vader's form and highlighting the skeletal body underneath, before finding it's way amongst the stormtroopers, engulfing them in a thunderstorm of raw force energy. They all dropped, convulsing in sheer pain and agony as the energy tortured them at the cellular level.

Brahe could feel the raw power at his fingertips surge even further, enticing the padawan with it's promise of strength. Never again would be on the back foot, it promised him. It offered him an eternity of freedom for but a moment of wantless abandon.

Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to.

"Aaaaaah!!!!" Brahe yelled, as he continued to channel force lightning into the assailants. The power felt good- it was as if it was meant for him all along, as if this was his destiny. Eventually their assailants stopped moving, and Brahe let his arms fall limp at his sides as he panted, regaining his breath. He smiled, relishing the power, until he raised one hand, seeing that it now was the black gloved fist of a Sith Lord. He stumbled back, sitting down and realizing the gravity of what he had done.

Vader, the stormtroopers....they all faded into nothingness. They had not truly been there.

This place was a nexus of dark side, and Brahe had been seduced by it. It revealed to him where his affinity truly was- to the dark side of the force.

He looked at Mi'la, tears in his eyes and horrified at what he had just done.

"Master...I....I'm sorry..."

A single tear rolled down his cheek, and then everything faded into nothingness.

The exhaustion of using force lightning for the first time in his life, coupled with the emotional realization of that moment had just been too much. Brahe had passed out entirely, slumping to the floor.
