Last week's episode of Rebels was "The Call," and it was about space whales! And also Ezra's connection to nature.

What did you think of the episode?

I did happen to catch this on the Roku and it was ok. Not my favorite, and it indeed showed Ezra's connection to nature/animals/etc, which I think we're only going to see more of as time goes on. Kenobi riding a Boga? pfffttt Ezra commanding a fleet of space whales through hyperspace to take on the Empire!

Other than that, it was decent. Also showed Kanan trusting Ezra more which could be good (or bad for those who think Ezra will go dark).

Once in a while it's good to have an episode that is not hard core Rebellion. We need these side arcs to build the characters with whom we became so familiar in season 1.

EDIT: And my Kenobi comment comes from someone who absolutely loves Kenobi over any other character in any other movie/fiction. :/

I wasn't a huge fan of the episode, space Wales ain't my cup of tea... But part of me thinks that it wasn't by chance that they showed Space whales that can navigate space?

Maybe they could lead him to where the source of the Dark Side of the Force is at some point, that Palpatine sent teams out to hunt for.

Who knows!

I don't know if it has future implications, but the idea of the purrgils being able to travel in hyperspace is meant to imply (per the producers) that the early space explorers discovered hyperspace through these creatures. Hyperspace technology was created in order to duplicate what the purrgils can do naturally.
