Kel hopes he never has to use it. But it feels good to have that thing lying around.
The Black Swift is a modified IFST-21 light freighter flown by Kel Dryden. It was originally used by the Hutt Cartel for smuggling sensitive cargo and VIPs—and rarely for piracy raids. To that end, the Swift had been tuned for speed and agility even before Kel first stepped aboard. The goal was to help it catch up with the prey or outrun the pursuit. And naturally, it wouldn't be a smuggling vessel without a hidden compartment here and there.
The previous Hutt owner considered the Black Swift his most prized vessel. That's why he went to great lengths to keep the ship in mint condition, with slight tints of luxury (at least by the Outer Rim standards). Kel Dryden treats the ship the same way, considering it his home.
Legal. Light freighters such as the IFST-21 are considered innocuous enough under most jurisdictions, and are not restricted in most systems. Flying a freighter like this may get you extra scrutiny from authorities, however, due to its alleged criminal connections.
To keep track of Kel's ship and its modifications; to have a cheat sheet with all the upgrades and how to handle them. If I manage to trick it out further through threads, I'll extend the descriptions accordingly.
