Nowhere to be, no one to see. Just like every other day and how boring it was. Koemi believed that travelling to the Core would harbor more excitement for her than it had proven to hold and it was becoming problematic.
”Maybe I should have gone to Coruscant. At least there I’d find something to do,” the girl growled under her breath as she tilted her head back, walking the pristine streets of Chandrila’s capital with her hands stuffed in her pockets. Even given the world’s temperate atmosphere, it was a chilly evening which forced the girl to dawn some of the heavier clothing she had. A brown scarf draped around her neck,a relatively clean thick beige sweater and a ‘winter’ cap she had purchased during her time in the mid rim. She may have been homeless and traveling without cause but at least for once she had been prepared.
The sun began to descend beyond the tops of the skyscrapers of Hanna City as Koemi continued to walk aimlessly, though it seemed that perhaps her feet knew what she did not. Stretch speeders began to descend overhead before coming to a halt at the end of a well lit approach way to one of the government buildings, one particularly tall woman in an exquisite and clearly expensive ensemble practically floating up the staircase and disappearing within. Curiosity and, perhaps more prominently, boredom took hold. She had no place in such an environment but that had never stopped her in the past and she certainly wasn’t about to now. Approaching the front was out of the question so the young woman would slink around the building and locate the servants entrance.
”Oy! Girl! You’re runnin’ more than a touch late!” the grizzled voice of a Sullustan cook growled at her as he threw his cigarra into the ashtray. Bewildered but never one to willfully dismiss a ruse, Koemi perked up.
”Sorry, sorry!” she stammered as she hustled into the kitchens. ”I missed my stop on the tram and I had to run here,” she replied exasperatedly, all a part of the act.
”Y’forgot to bring your uniform too, hey? Scatterbrain girl! Go and grab a spare and get on the floor! Y’know how these aristocrat types get when they have to wait for their drinks!”
Before long, Koemi found herself in a white blouse with black dress pants and a tray of champagne flutes mingling amongst some of the most beautiful people she had ever seen. The music in the background was… bland and slow compared to anything she would have selected to listen too, causing her to scrunch her nose with a slight smirk. Still, there was boundless opportunity here for her to pocket some quick credits so she would continue to weave through the crowd, offering drinks to those around her, as she sized up any potential marks. Then she saw the same woman who had entered as she arrived, a sly grin forming. "There we go," she whispered before making her way in her direction.
