This thread brought to my attention something that we'll have to discuss quite soon. With the Blockade of the Corellian Run threads currently happening, and with their completion, the Rebels will gain the territory between Ord Pardron and Smuggler's run (including Tatooine), we'll have to figure out how Nor'baal's character (and the member) will react to this.

Will the Rebels allow him to stay there?
How will the Hutts view the Rebel expansion into these worlds? (Especially considering tatooine is outside the Hutt borders).

Will the hutts simply say "its your own fault for setting up shop outside our territory?"

Just something I was curious to know, and how we'll approach it ICly speaking.

I would say that the Hutts would see this, as anything else, as a unique business opportunity. To how and what business is to be conducted is still up in the air, though with the rebels slowly gaining power and might, and having no conflicting interests beside expanding where a Hutt is located, they would view the rebels as a potential ally. Though as we have talked, this will need to be handled throughout a long period of IC time.

Plus I doubt the rebels would want them being attacked on two different fronts, or that possibility.

I was hoping that the Rebels would use this as an "In" to discuss with the Hutts some form of arrangement. In particular the whole concept of "You kill the sith, we'll give you guns" sort of thing.

It makes sense that this would be part of the story arc that leads to an alliance between the Rebels and the Hutts. Realistically it wouldn't start out amicably, since criminals view territory as very important (anyone who cuts into their territory is a threat to their profits), but it could if the Rebels start proving themselves as being worthy.
