As Taoré joined him on the ledge, Aden began walking towards the cave entrance. Taoré caught up with him just as he was about to enter the cave, asking him about Nexu. Aden stopped a little into the cave, at the point where darkness had started to descend all around them.

"Sharp reflexes, sharper instincts, four eyes and a mouthful of sharp teeth, a Nexu is probably as vicious a predator as any. We will most probably run into one soon, so stay alert. Our aim is to get through to the other side without killing any Nexu, so it would be best if we can avoid detection. A jedi must learn to preserve life, no matter whose life it might be. But know this, they have been here for a long time now and have become accustomed to life in this small habitat of their own. We are in their territory, so we are the ones in danger here. They will attack us, try to kill us if they can, but we have to get by them without killing even one of them That is the challenge we face today. So tell me, have you ever tried concealing yourself using the Force?"

Taoré shook his head.

"It would've come in handy, all the years I spent on the run." He said, but they heard sounds and respectively blurred using their collective speed into higher ground. He kept his lightsaber close to his chest. Just because the goal was to avoid death, he didn't want to take any chances.

"But how can one wrap energy around themself as to become invisible to the naked eye?" He asked, clearly confused about such a concept. As he did, he too noticed his Master's hand carefully contemplate whether or not to have his own weapon at the ready, but who could blame him? This was a place where anything outside the Nexu came to die.

Aden noticed Taoré grasping his lightsaber and pointing at the weapon smiled, "Put that away for now. We are not here to attack, and if the need arises to defend ourselves then I would like you to only rely on the Force. Consider this to be a test of how much you have advanced in your ability to control the Force."

Leaning on his staff he thought over how to explain the technique to him. "It really varies from person to person. Different users use different approaches to use this technique. My approach is simple, I simply focus on the Force while visualizing the location I am at, but without me in it. For instance, if I am standing here at this moment, I would imagine in my mind a scenario where I am not here, and focusing on that thought let the Force pour in. The Force does the rest. Give it a try, it would be better if you got an idea of the technique before we enter."

Taoré reluctantly re-clipped his lightsaber back to his belt, and immediately closed his eyes: Within an instant he imagined a nest of Nexu, which had been subliminally inserted into his mind (his master's handiwork? he thought): a definite place where he did NOT want to be at any given time. It wasn't a stretch from there to imagine seeing it all play out as they fought amongst themselves over scraps of food, or slept. Some of the older taking care of the young. Were it not for them being vicious killers, he'dve found the scene quite peaceful indeed: Another place a Jedi didn't need to be.

Within moments, he began to feel the Force all around him, thickening the air he was breathing. He immediately began to hold on to what he was feeling. He took a step, but almost felt like his noise did not reach his ears. He glanced at his Master, who grinned (Well I don't know if I did it, or if he's merely using his "sight" to see me.) he thought to himself slightly downtrodden. He closed his eyes, stretching out to the Force once more, trying to see for himself, and for whatever he had managed to feel, was a slight jade aura surround his body, but almost like a barrier as opposed to his own flesh. He touched his arm: Nope, so it's not a "barrier" in that sense. He thought before adjusting his feet slightly, careful not to dislodge any gravel.

Aden nodded approvingly, "Good, I think you understand now what I meant. Let the technique go now, call upon it when the need arises. You don't have much practice in it so it might soon tire you out. Come, it is time we started moving into the cave."

With those words Aden began walking into the tunnel leading up to the cave, Taoré right next to him. Pretty soon they reached a point in the tunnel where it branched off into two paths. Aden knew from past experience that the right looked dark and damp and didn't look all that welcoming but was more or less free of Nexu whereas the left one, more brightly lit and much more inviting in its appearance, was also known for the large number of Nexu attacks that had taken pace in it in the past and had a foreboding feel in the Force. Both the paths looked different when seen with the naked eye, deceptive in their appearance, but if one listened carefully to the Force then their true nature was revealed. Aden hoped that Taoré could tell which was which, that he could put aside what his senses were telling him and listen to what the Force was whispering. "Which way my young friend? Left or right?"

"Well, the left path looks more inviting as opposed to the right one, but from what I've learned, sometimes the most inviting of places can hide really creepy secrets." He replied before looking a once over at the right path. "The being said, that direction looks pretty forboding. Why do I sense this is your metaphoric way of deciding paths in life?"

He had thought about for a second that flash of the dream he had had this morning. It reminded him about the duel he had with that psycho Dark Jedi a year or so back. It was so easy for her to get angry, making her vicious and bloody hard to kill in that battle were it not for a clever flick of his wrist at the last possible second. He didn't deny that even he felt that pull to just kill her outright: She tried to kill him with no real rhyme or reason short of existing. He resisted and merely hog tied her in a cave, figuring she would eventually escape. But even then, this cave seemed to call out to him: A path of resistance that held tons of horror on the way, or a quick and easy road that he didn't even know where it would lead him to.

"You'll be surprised how the simplest of decisions can have the greatest of consequences. See this as you want, it is but one of the many choices that you will have to make where you can seek guidance from the Force. This is what it will always come down to, your choices. As a Jedi your choices will have even greater consequences than anyone else's decisions. We wield a great power, but as I have said before, being able to use is not as important as knowing when and how to use it." Turning to face the two paths once more, he had a brief glimpse of his own future, of choices that he was going to take and how they would mold his future, leading him down a new path, a new life. Suddenly remembering where he was he turned once more to look at Taoré. "So which will it be, right or left?"

He stretched out with the Force, beginning to hear whispers as his eyes rolled behind his eyelids. He heard them grow stronger every time his eyes turned left. Louder and louder they went, until it began to pound in his head, then utter silence.

"We shall take the right road." he finally said to his master, as the noise around him faded into white noise. He took a step forward on the right path, taking a step up, immediately feeling the strain of rock give under his weight. He recoiled quickly as to not lose his balance.

"Well, this isn't going to be fun." he muttered as he worked around it, stepping up around the indentations, careful as to where to angle his weight so he didn't strain the rocks. He took his master's hand and flung him up in a single heave. Once they were up safely, they continued to walk.

"I don't suppose you already knew this wasn't going to be fun?" he asked cheekily, feeling his voice echo slightly off the caves, but it did not trigger his danger senses.

As they began walking down the right path, Aden only smiled at Taoré's last remark. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." They had been walking through the convoluted pathway for over ten to fifteen minutes when the path suddenly opened up into a large cave. Stepping into the cave, Aden reached out through the Force, sensing more than a few live forms ahead of them.

Turning to Taoré, he pointed to a point on the opposite end of the cave, "That is where we need to go, take the lead." After walking for a few minutes, a small group of nexu, at least three of them, suddenly appeared a little in front of them, blocking their path. As Taoré would turn around, he would realize that Aden was no longer behind him.

Aden had totally concealed himself in the Force and was hiding himself in the shadows. He touched Taoré's mind once after he noticed his absence. "Get past them on your own, try not to kill or harm them or yourself. I will be waiting beyond."

Crap. he thought in his head, before quickly assessing his situation: All 3 Nexu did not appear very old, so they were impulsive and reckless with their prey. The hall was large, but there were plenty of protrusions to grab hold of and swing across as to avoid them directly; the nearest of said protrusions was behind a Nexu, but even a Force assisted jump would cause him to lose a limb. He reached for his lightsaber; the excercise may have forbidden him to use it in combat, but he had other means.

He repulsed the Force around his body, causing the Nexu to fly away from him, clearly jarred, which caused them to pounce back as they recovered. Taoré leaped high above them, causing them all to collide into one another. He activated his lightsaber, and drove it with all his might into the protrusion. Feeling it lock into place, he hoisted himself with a flip, his feet landing perfectly onto the hilt and carefully propping himself onto the ledge. He grabbed his lightsaber out of the rock and sheathed it.

He saw the Nexu begin to look out at him and instinctively tried to pounce, but they were out of reach.

Taoré was in a hole and he knew it. Though the Nexu couldn`t get at him, it wouldn`t be long until the protrusion gave under his weight. He needed to get just another 200 feet, which he could readh in single jump, but if he was seen, he could be cut off in the pass. He closed his eyes and thought about earlier. Finding his centre, he imagined the Nexu fighting over a bone, perfectly normal situation that didn`t require a Jedi to be there. He suddenly began to see his aura once more, knowing he was not there. He knew he`d have to limp after this, but it was worth it.

The Nexu immediately stopped in utter confusion. In that brief instance, he leaped the 200 feet across the cavern, rolling to his feet upon landing, into the next antechamber, but he made himself visible again. Feeling mentally drained, he dropped slightly in stance, before limping a few steps and drawing his lightsaber and caving in the way out, so the Nexu couldn`t follow even if they wanted to. Sheathing the weapon, he sat down on a flat rock so he could collect himself. He reached into his belt and took out a ration bar, swallowing it whole.

"That was close." He said to himself, his breathing slowly returning to normal.

"You might as well show yourself, I heard you for a while away.." he muttered, before his Master appeared before him
