The order had been idle against its enemies for far too long, but today they would finally take the opportunity to strike against what was probably their biggest enemy: The Empire. Their strength had been mighty, being able to strike down none other than Darth Raze himself, however, they were now at their weakest, and the sharks smelled the blood in the water. The fact that one of the sharks were the Hutts, an outsider to the original conflict with strength to spare, meant things had never been better: The enemy of the order's enemy was after all, a friend...Or at least a big enough distraction.

Unfortunately, most of the imperials decided to remain loyal despite the Hutt's tempting offer, but there were enough to cause a problem...As long as they were properly armed. For that to happen, they needed the proper benefactors, and it so happened that Anai had struck a deal with the Hutts so, together, they could become the patrons of the insurrectionists on Ossus, the leader a soon to be puppet head for the Order. Ossus would be taken from the Empire by the order, only needing to pay a tithe to the Hutts in exchange for the help while the both of them would benefit from the Empire needing to split their attention.

The order had chosen Ossus for many reasons: Not only was the planet weakened by the exalted not long ago, but it was even easier to rile up the insurrectionists in there. After all, their lives had been sacrificed by the Empire that had sworn to protect them in order to kill Raze, many would be grieving for the Imperials that died via Imperial fire.

Not only that, but with Ossus they didn't need to take care for the planet in the long term, their main objective being something other than simply taking over the planet. Ossus had a certain garrison filled with sith artifacts, the history of the sith stolen by the traitorous Imperials and stockpiled there a while ago, it was, of course, the best defended place on the planet, but it was also their main objective. The sith would help the insurrectionists take over the garrison in exchange for the artefacts stored in there, and they would make sure that those vaults were empty by the time the Empire tries to take the planet back.

Anai had been the one to come up with the idea, but she needed the help of another sith: Karys (@Apollyon). He had enough resources to help fund the insurrectionists, make sure the order didn't need to completely depend on the Hutts when it came to taking over Ossus, for it was not wise to owe much to a Hutt. However, she could've asked someone else with resources, maybe the order itself, to help take over the planet. However, she was also doing this for her ally, for Karys.

The man had been put through a lot lately, he had burned a lot of bridges, hurt former friends. Those feelings of hate and rage against people he once loved could make him feel conflicted, cloud his heart in the future as they worn it down. This battle would give him a clear enemy, one he could focus into destroying without any semblance of remorse, the Empire would become the grindstone in which Karys would sharpen his hatred and rage so they became powerful weapons that he could use against anyone that stood in his way, no matter who they were.

Wearing her armor, lightsaber in hand and vibroknives under her cloak, the Kaleesh champion looked ahead as they approached the main garrison, the sounds of blaster filling the area as the insurrectionists and loyalists fought "This is it, Karys" she told the taller pureblood, looking at him for a moment, her voice cold and focused as the woman readied herself for her biggest fight since Corellia "Today the order shall claim back what was taken from us, are you ready?"

Different Sith called the moment Altair turned on the Order different things. Some called it The Great Split, others called it The Exodus, still others viewed it as a Revival. Karys wasn’t part of that old guard, he never experienced the Sith Empire beyond the death of his oldest brother. To him, it had only brought pain. To him the event deserved no name, it was just another betrayal.

However, when Anai approached him and proposed her plan to him, Karys was interested. He knew that he needed knowledge and power to shore up his own deficiencies. The reliquary on Ossus offered such an opportunity. As such, Karys leveraged the resources in his powerbase to aid in the endeavor. He would have a stake of anything they found, he would use the artifacts to grow stronger. That way none could challenge or disrespect him again.

What Anai had assumed about the Pureblood was correct. Since Trokein, Karys had been mired with doubt of his decision. He had accepted that he did what he had to but he still questioned the choice. Was the road he walked down the road to power? Or just loneliness? At least this battle, this war offered a respite from the questions. He had something to focus his rage on, to channel and vent his pain upon.

The Imperials of Ossus would suffer, he’d make them bleed.

His gaze shifted from the battle before them, Karys wore simple black robes and his beskar vambraces. On his back sat his Sith Warblade, Sadowbane and on his belt hung both his blaster pistol and on the rear of it, set horizontally to the belt was his lightsaber hilt.

With his hood drawn, Karys would glance down to Anai. His face betrayed none of his emotion as he listened to her. This was clearly personal for her. Good. It meant she would fight even harder to end these insects.

Today we purge our enemies and claim what is rightfully ours.” He replied as he drew out the artifact blade.

None would survive the wrath of the Sith.

So much happening at once. So many pieces on the board. Factions. Allies. Enemies. But much and more of the same thing in this galaxy.

Sure, a Hutt had just declared over the Empire, and there was war, but it seemed like only moments ago that Ossus was a battleground before today. Truly, war never changed.

Not for Imperials or Sith, criminals or Jedi, anything between or outside. So many needed reason, justification, purpose for their conflict, but not everyone. In fact, were it not for the Empire to begin with, one man would still be a Sith.

Time to see if this shift was worth it, Father. He thought as he stood and watched the combat in the distance: loyalists against insurrectionists.

It wasn’t so distant from his position in the garrison, with the vault at his back, its artifacts within, and all those combatants standing in between the Knights and the Sith.

If your family's sigil finds fortune floating under this six-spoked symbol. The Imperial crest, such as it was, which rested on his very pauldron.

The Knight had the armor, the helmet, the cape, red and black, like his own family’s colors. They were both his, but one was more than the other.

Then again… Tameon Sylverian mused, standing still as a statue with his helmet held at hip, lightsaber hilt beside it opposite the pistol on his right hip. I suppose all this shit means little and less to me in the end.

The heir of a noble chair, no royal throne, the scion of Koryus Sylverian never much cared to know. What would he even do with a throne? His family was one thing, this galaxy another, his destiny his own. He paved his way in life even if he would die here in a fight.

House Sylverian was under the umbrella of the Empire. Father still sat their seat of Redember, governed it, but it was his firstborn son who stood the surface of Ossus today—though he did not stand alone.

"Hold fast, people of the Empire!" shouted a booming contralto over the din of battle. Commanding a garrison group, Astrid al-Bahir watched the battle closely. The soldiers were nervous, even not immediately engaged at the front. But Astrid had become a symbol of solidarity between Imperials and the Knights who served them.

Asrtid wore light armor: Breastplate, crimson clamshell helmet to allow for her horns, armorweave bodysuit, and phrik vambraces. Her belt carried her pistol, knife, and medkit, lightsaber in hand. Her machine left arm, patinated in Knight's red with Imperial blue markings, a flag of unwavering pride and will.
"These invaders will enslave you, your children and families, your brothers and sisters. They will squeeze you dry just as they have done their own. To surrender is enslavement to the Hutts."

And few Imperial soldiers would willingly become a slave to some foreign, crimelord slugs. They had already shown their resolve in largely refusing the Mogul's slimy offer. Her eyes passed over every soldier's face. "Let's show the Grand Marshal he can retire in peace. He's damn well earned it." Then she turned toward the invading forces and the cloaked, armored figures approaching the garrison itself.

Two Knights. Two enemies little better than common raiders, traitors to the Empire. How fitting.

"Hold fast, now! For Varyn! For Dram! For Din!" she called, echoed in the voices of soldiers all around her. A sunlight-yellow blade ignited before her. A beacon in the dark. A challenge to be met as E-web stations rained heavy bolts on the insurgent forces. The rebels were poorly trained and attacked a fortified area. Those Sith in the back had no choice but to get involved to take the garrison or get to the vault, which meant fighting through Astrid and the other Knight near her. They'd already seen one another.

Astrid pointed her lightsaber toward them in both hands, on guard even across the short battlefield, speaking directly to the two Sith themselves. Her voice cut across blasterfire, grenades, and the renewed shouts of defiance from Garrison forces.

"We will bury the Sith in the blasted ashes of their dead messiah. Vivat Imperium!"

Karys’ golden eyes settled lazily on the Tiefling knight as she gave her rousing speech. She rallied her forces with talk of traitors, betrayers, and the damned. None of that mattered. Karys heard the sound of E-web emplacements firing into the unwashed hordes of grieved Imperial citizens as they charged fortified positions. He didn’t care for them. Their bodies soaked blaster fire that could have been placed into him or Anai. The citizens of this world weren’t the true threat, the Sith that had whipped them into a frenzy were.

Karys allowed his cloak to flow off of him, it slipped to the ground before fluttering off into the wind. It revealed the traditional Sith Order garb beneath. Green witch-fire licked the edge of Sadowbane as Karys’ gaze hardened. He would break her and shatter the morale of these pathetic defenders. The relics and holocrons beyond them would be reclaimed by their rightful owners, the Sith.

Karys wouldn’t let her finish the rallying cry, he crossed the short distance between them in a matter of heartbeats. Sadowbane’s lethal edge swung upwards from the low guard position. He aimed for it to bite into her left hip and carve upwards through her torso. The unnatural flames that flickered on it’s blade would aid in separating skin, flesh, sinew, and bone as if it weren’t there. As he did this, Karys would reach out with the Dark Side, it coiled around her left horn and jerked sharply downwards. If unanswered, she’d be ripped into his strike, ending the engagement before it truly began. Karys would take the initiative and destroy this Imperial Knight filth.

It was only a matter of time before the sith duo found themselves clashing against Imperial Knights, dark siders without ambition, without true purpose, puppets to people that were weaker than them. It was funny how they were what kept the Empire together even as they were mistreated and denied their true potential, even though they were lesser, without the force the Empire would've been too weak to defend itself. They relied on former sith like Altair to guide them, and they needed former sith like Varyn to do what had to be done. This, of course, meant that as soon as these knights fell, the rest wouldn't last long.

Karys had picked his target, so Anai started approaching the other one, "You'll die for an unworthy cause, knight." She would simply say as she started to get closer to Tameon, ready to react to anything the noble could attempt as she closed the distance. One she got almost within melee range, but not there yet, however, she would call upon the force, focusing it on the man's right left, locking in and pulling it forward as Anai took a right step forward and did a short diagonal slash, going downwards from her left side to the right as Tameon's right leg extended. A fast, quick motion to cut the leg off, a controlled motion that didn't have as much strength as the Kaleesh could have applied since she didn't have to worry about the man blocking with his lightsaber anyways, lacking reach with his left side as his right side was the one currently exposed and put forward.

There she was. Astrid al-Bahir. An astral projection, vehement, a voice of vengeance, with a sword born from the stars.

A riveting speech. If needless. If these troops didn’t already know their lives depended on victory against these Sith then they were idiots to begin with.

Sylverian. Din. Knights. Sith. Dogged devotion. Amid his companion and surroundings, all Tameon saw was a pack of hounds.

So it begins. Tameon stepped from his position to close the distance to his own opponent, setting helmet over head.

His opponent spoke of unworthy causes, forgiven for not knowing that these politics were like piss to him. He was just doing his duty as Knight.

“Fuck off.”

More nonchalant than aggressive yet he felt it was a warranted offer. Too late anyway as the Sith’s blade came while the Knight’s right leg was jerked forward.

As this happened, Tameon exploded into action. The hilt at his left hip filled his right hand, ignited the same instant, in a dragon's kiss or -snap-hiss!- A blade of crimson in a one-handed grip.

Right leg moving forward, the Sith had done the Knight a favor as Tameon aligned his right side to her. As her blade came, his was more than enough within range.

He swung downward from his left to right. The connection would parry the Sith’s blade to her left.

As soon as both blades connected, Tameon withdrew his saber and swung upward.

The blade would connect with the Sith’s sword-arm to sever it in two at the forearm. Near the elbow, or the wrist if she attempted to retract her weapon.

As Karys closed the distance, Astrid maintained her two-handed center guard stance, left foot forward. The crossguard was horizontally on full display to protect hands and wrists. The Sith reached out with the Force to grab Astrid's left horn. As a trained Force wielder, Astrid was not easily grabbed while focused and ready. The Force rushed through her, enhancing her strength and durability while preventing forced movement. Her horned head slightly dipped and moved forward before Karys' telekinetic grip was rejected entirely.

Simultaneously, Karys' sword came in from her lower left and Astrid's saber dropped to stifle Sadowbane down into an awkward, more vertical angle for the Sith. Her saber's middle third caught Sadowbane's upper third behind the tip. She used her two-handed grip's greater leverage and abruptly Force-enhanced strength to scoop Karys's blade down and to his left in a short, sharp spiral, the parry motion keeping its edge and tip away from her body and legs.

This would force his right wrist to twist clockwise from his perspective as the sword was forced down and then to his left, the sharp motion intended to rip Sadowbane from his grip to fly off to his left side. Astrid's parry motion would also slice the end of her lightsaber through Karys' lead right knee.
Easy to miss while focusing on both a rapid sword exchange and a highly precise telekinetic maneuver akin to Force Choke.

Throughout, her hilt and blade remained in front of her. Astrid was wary of the energy coursing from her lightsaber to the sword.

Karys felt the sudden resistance in Astrid’s head. It was so potent that even with the surprise attack, she was able to almost nullify the pull completely. He would relinquish his hold on her horn. This came in addition to her overwhelming strength in her counter. Karys didn’t think of conceding ground, his body instinctively did it for him. His right leg slid backwards and diagonally towards his left. This ensured his knee was just beyond where Astrid’s strike would have come in. It wasn’t a perfect evasion however, Astrid’s lightsaber edge still burned through Karys’ robes, the tip of the blade blistered the skin and pain coursed through the knee.

His leg was definitely weakened but not crippled.

This evasion was only possible thanks to Astrid’s concentration being split between both aspects of Force Enhancement and a more technical lightsaber maneuver. Which could be a costly and draining maneuver so early into the duel. Despite avoiding the bulk of the damage from his own overconfidence, Karys was unable to hold onto Sadowbane and the blade broke free from his grasp for a brief moment. But as Astrid’s disarming parry came to it’s conclusion, Karys would be taking a pair of backpedaling steps to his left, away from her blade and recalled Sadowbane to his open hand as he did so.

He reset his guard to mid guard that mirrored her own earlier one.
He had been overconfident and brash, he couldn’t afford to make that same mistake again. Karys called upon the Dark Side to bolster him should he need it and simply prepared himself for whatever the traitorous Knight had to throw at him. He wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.

Karys breaks grip on horn, takes some damage to knee, recalls blade to hand and hard resets.

While the imperial knight would find himself able to defend himself against Anai's strike, his parry would not be as effective as he expected. After all, there was a reason Anai had deliberately made her swing so controlled and restrained, so she could use it to effectively block whatever the man could possibly throw at her. So, as Tameon's blade got closer to her own lightsaber, she instead switched her focus on the blade instead of her original target, making sure they would connect in a way that left her less open, fixing her posture, turning her body accordingly and grounding herself so he couldn't simply overpower her attack.

This meant that while the man would, indeed, be able to block her strike, her blade wouldn't go all the way to the left side. Rather, both blades would reel to their respective left sides from the clash, giving her as much time to withdraw as him, enough time to take a right step back to gain some distance and bring her lightsaber into a good position to block the upward slash.

However, this measure would be done just in case, seeing how, since she had locked onto his right leg using the force with no resistance at all on his part, Anai could simply lift his right leg upward as he went for the slash, making him fall on his back using the force. At best his lightsaber strike would go awry, at worst he would accidentally cut his leg. Not only that, but shortly after she would aim to bend his leg the wrong way as he fell down, trying to destroy his knee joint with the force, a particularly vulnerable part of the body that wouldn't need that much time or effort to damage.

The blades connected. Tameon’s intention was indeed to shove his enemy’s blade to her left, create distance, then attack her arm. A minor interruption as his blade was instead being pushed to his own left upon her weapon's redirection from his leg to his weapon.

Once the blades clashed, the Sith stepped back, but evidently the Knight was in less of a position to step on his end. Tameon’s right leg locked on, getting it extended so as to take a step was one thing, but being lifted was another.

With his intention to swing his sword upward, he would of course miss accidentally hitting his leg that moment, instead redirecting his focus. His attention was no longer on any sword-swing but on the Force.

Tameon concentrated on two things. Firstly on his right leg, applying what Force barrier he might conjure to defend against whatever might happen to it next, including a destroyed knee joint, reinforcing to negate it entirely.

Concurrently, Tameon cast Force Push toward his target from his left hand. He targeted the Sith’s legs directly. If successful, it wouldn’t matter how grounded she was, she would be knocked off her feet and fall forward, facedown.

The attack itself might be enough to break her concentration on Tameon’s leg amid his defense. That said, while Tameon performed both actions, he did so while falling backward to land on his back.

Sadowbane was flung to Karys' left, powerfully propelled by Karys' swing and Astrid's force-enhanced parry. Astrid's immediate follow-up was much quicker than focusing the Force to stop the launched sword's momentum and call it back.

She sprung right-footed into quick, controlled following steps to keep Karys well within saber range, coming toward his right flank. Sustaining the parry's spiral momentum with a two-handed grip, her saber's end half quickly whipped into an upward disgonal arc to sever through his right upper arm and slice deep into his chest before he could recall Sadowbane.

It was a strike while he was without a weapon and would interrupt his attempt to summon the weapon back at all. She was prepared if he suddenly stopped to try engaging unarmed. The Imperial Knight refused to give the traitor Sith even a single moment to breathe.

Karys also couldn't pay attention well to two things on opposite sides at once; as Sadowbane was the focus of his attention to recall, he wasn't focused on Astrid and her combination bladework.

Astrid followed his retreat, it wasn’t entirely unsurprising, he would have done the same. Her continued pursuit meant that Karys wasn’t going to be able to recall Sadowbane. This was especially true as her strike started to come in. Thankfully, while he was trying to recall Sadowbane, Karys wasn’t blind and could still see Astrid’s movement.

Thus, when her two handed strike arched upwards, interrupting his attempt to recall his weapon, he had a moment to react. He simply swung his right beskar vambrace down to impact Astrid’s lightsaber blade and prevent it from slicing into him. While she might be prepared for him to engage in unarmed combat, it was unlikely she expected him to have beskar vambraces. While the block came in, Karys would use the summoned power to flood his body with unnatural strength.

As the middle of the vambrace had connected with the lightsaber blade, keeping it from cutting into his arm and body, Karys would take a step in and with his still free left hand, Karys would lash out with his own strike. His left fist would be thrown in a straight-line jab towards the middle of Astrid’s unprotected throat. The Force enhanced strength strike would allow the blow to shatter bone and Duraplast alike while also collapsing her windpipe. What’s more with both her hands firmly gripped on her lightsaber hilt and the spring-footed nature of her attack meant completely evading the strike would be difficult as her body weight was committed to that forward momentum and assault. She was assured of the hit.

It was a quick counter offensive that was designed to cripple Astrid and bring this to a quick conclusion. Karys hadn’t reached for a weapon, his hand had been free this entire time. And the blow wasn’t thrown in an arch. Instead, it was a quick, straight-line punch that was enhanced by the Force.

Karys wouldn’t back down after the first punch. Instead Karys would take another step in, looking to nullify the advantage of her lightsaber by keeping close. He lifted his right bracer from the blade as he closed distance, lifted his guard, and stayed aware of his opponent. He looked to pursue if she tried to fall back, defend if he needed toand keep the momentum he likely had just gained.

Unfortunately for Tameon, splitting his focus while also having so little time to react meant that he wouldn't be able to fully defend his leg against Anai's attack should she put everything she had into it, which is exactly what she did. Even though she would end up falling down because of the push, it would not quite stop her from breaking the man's knee, his lower leg bending in the complete opposite direction it should be bending towards as it broke into few pieces, damaging and bruising the muscles and ligaments that were connected to it. Because of this, the knight would be in quite a deep pain, and find himself unable to bend or extend that leg, much less stand up.

Other than that, Anai only made sure to not land on the ground face first and point her lightsaber outward so she wouldn't stab herself, landing as graciously as she could. The Kaleesh would be getting up as soon as possible while the man was probably adjusting to the pain, making sure to not break visual contact in case he tried some despertare emove. After that, Anai would simply take the opportunity and go for a stab at the man's center, around the waist and stomach, something he would have trouble deflecting or parrying from such a vulnerable position. Should he try to roll to the sides to avoid this, she would simply adjust the blade's trajectory. She would be mostly vigilant when it came to the force, the only thing he could use against her at the moment.

If not for the helmet over Tameon's head, the very skies might scorch alight from one man’s roars as he gazed skyward, unable to ignore the burn.

An inferno of agony gripped his broken knee, rendered useless. It was all Tameon could do to draw upon the Force to control the pain at least to some degree.

As a former Sith, he was accustomed to drawing on such feelings themselves, pain and rage, but he didn’t have long to do much as his enemy got up and came forth.

The Sith arrived by the Knight’s feet and stabbed for his stomach as he lay on his back. Even with the pain and the damage, Tameon was still conscious and wasn’t ready to die just yet.

His own lightsaber hilt still in his right hand, he crossed the blade to intercept the Sith’s, blocking it before it would reach his body while pushing hers to his right.

Meanwhile, Tameon withdrew the pistol at his right hip, coordinated his target, and fired two consecutive non-stun shots at the Sith’s right knee
. She was close enough to his feet for his shots to not miss at least when it came to distance.

Phrik vambraces were Imperial Knight standard issue, part of their training, and common amongst Sith even before the coup. Astrid wasn't surprised and assumed Karys' bracers were phrik. The metal sparked and smoked, stopping her strike.

As Karys stepped in to jab, Astrid rose her saber to attempt a crossguard block. She was too slow, however, and the empowered fist damaged her saber emitter, disabling it entirely and causing the weapon to fly off to the side. She scowled behind her helmet, lowering her head to present her sharp and curving horns like an angry ram, chin down.

Astrid switched to a kickboxing stance, hands and elbows presented. As Karys stepped in, she launched her left leg into a knee strike to his right ribs, intending to crack bone and damage his liver.

While the Imperial Knight would be able to block the initial stab, he would not be safe from her lightsaber for long, not in the precarious position he was currently in. While her blade was moved to the man's right side, Anai simply needed to take advantage of the better position she was in and the leverage she had over him, raising her elbow and flicking her wrist downwards so her blade could go over the man's guard, thrusting deeper, deep enough her blade would actually burn through flesh. Of course, it wouldn't reach the original target, the stomach, since her blade was being moved towards the right. Instead, it would go through part of his right side, his right hip and, of course, the blaster that was positioned in there...And maybe his hand, if he had started to reach towards his blaster faster than he should've.

This would be more than enough to end the fight on its own, but it would also be only half of Anai's offense, as she had also took the opportunity to raise her left hand and shoot lightning at the Imperial knight at the same time her lightsaber maneouver was occurring, aiming arcs of lightning that would begin to burn the man's skin and inflict even more pain well before the man could reach across the body, grab the blaster, get it out of the way of the lightsabers and shoot.

The Lightning would be aimed specifically to his chest and face seeing how, since both of his hands were lowered, one trying to defend against her lightsaber and the other going for a blaster, he would have a hard time finding a way to block the lightning. Be it because of the pain of a lightsaber searing his flesh or lighting scarring his skin, Tameon wouldn't get a chance to shoot at her and, one way or the other, the battle was probably over.

As the power of the Dark Side faded from his veins, Karys felt sweat form on his brow. The strength the Dark Side leant him wasn't without cost, it pulled heavily on his reserve of stamina. While he wasn't exhausted, Karys knew drawing upon the Force for anything serious was likely out of the question for a while. He'd have to rely on his own prowess to beat Astrid into submission.

In response to Astrid's incoming knee, Karys' right arm bent at the elbow dropped sharply, bringing his beskar vambrace down to slam into Astrid’s exposed and sensitive knee. The block was a viscous counter and could possibly cause damage to the knee cap. As his right vambrace connected, he’d shift his weight onto his right leg.

While his weight shifted, Karys would snatch out with his left hand at Astrid’s exposed left horn. He'd step to the left as he yanked her past him in an attempt to toss her to the ground away from him. With all her weight on a single leg, it would be hard for her to evade or stabilize against the toss. If successful, she would land face first in the dirt and Karys would take another step away from her and towards the weapon she had disarmed him of earlier. His left hand extended to recall Sadowbane to his grip while she recovered, given his proximity to the weapon now, it wouldn't take long to reach him.

Karys heard the roars of pain from the fallen knight, her partner. He heard the crackle of electricity as Anai discharged her Force Lightning into the man. One down, one to go. Karys was winded from his earlier Force use but confident, even with her likely lightsaber resistant bracers, she was still largely unarmed and in a bad position, he knew that. So, he'd reset his guard with the weapon and prepared for whatever came next.

With Tameon’s pistol holstered on his right hip, it wasn’t as awkward to grip it with his left hand given position and orientation. He had reached for his pistol while blocking his enemy’s blade, and both blades were above his other weapon at that moment.

With the Sith’s sword coming toward his stomach, moving downward, it would have less resistance against being pushed to her left. As she redirected her maneuver, then, Tameon had never removed his own blade in order to keep the other in check, and redirect his in response to intercept his opponent’s.

His blaster having cleared his holster, Tameon’s focus was however already split. With a broken leg, attention through the Force being used to stay in the fight, he had applied himself to warding off the Sith’s lightsaber as well.

Even with the close proximity of both opponents, before he could attempt to fire his blaster he felt a new pain entirely. His body lit up, arced lightning wrapping around chest and helmet, and the body beneath, as he roared yet again.

That assault, that distraction, had broken his guard, and his right hip burned, but not from lightning. From a lightsaber. And in that moment, finally, Tameon knew he was finished.
