When swoop-bike gangs started racing starfighters, you knew that you were in a hell of a neighbourhood.

But the swoop bike gangs of the docks were actually really into racing the VCX series of fighters - tiny little things that were supposed to fit into the back of the VCX freighters. Thing was that they were fast and not very hard to find. Both ships were made on Corellia and sometimes it was easy to find a set where the freighter had either been destroyed or sold separately so the little starfighter was all that was left. Which meant they were easy pickings for the gangs to scoop up, supe up and send out swooping.

It was the dead of night so the yards weren't in use for any legal reasons, leaving the almost rave-like party to go on without issue as several small-time gangs showed off the VCX fighters they had gotten ready to race around the quickly made track around the yard.

"Yo Enby these your kind of people or what?"

Who better to come with him to such an event?

All of the starfighters had been repainted and some of them even looked pretty good actually. More than a few of the people were dressed with neon lights strapped to themselves as well. He stared for a moment, seeing someone getting tattooed with tattoos that only showed up under different kinds of light, the artist needing to raise a light to view it as they were going. Crix tilted his head to the side slightly.

"... I know we're here to grab a fighter but for real though that looks awesome."

He always wanted a tattoo and his mom wasn't around to say no...

"Damn right it's awesome, dude," Enby responded energetically, eyes zipping this and that way over the surroundings. Piles of modified and multi-coloured tech, neon lights, scruffy street-types, and tattoo artists? Definitely Enby's people. Not that the young woman needed any bonus tattoos this moment, since thinking about that would remind her that the artist she went to was back on Coruscant, very very far away from where they were now. But this was an adventure, and on this quest they were going to, somehow or other, get ahold of a VCX fighter. What could go wrong, right?

"Def my type. So how're we gettin' the thing?" she asked, segwaying into the main problem with all the tact and grace of a falling road-roller. It's not like they really had an abundance of credits. Enby has some, but like for food and stuff, not a ship. Even a small salvaged one was way out of her price range.

She quickly got distracted looking over a particularly colourfully painted fighter, circling around it and judging the artwork. Not bad, but it still felt a little flat to her eyes that could pick up wavelengths that humans couldn't. She bet she could do better lines, too. Unless what they'd done was on purpose? Hmm.

Oh boy Enby was gonna get a tattoo he just knew it.

And if she got a tattoo he was gonna get a tattoo because she was a terrible influence - that was going to be his excuse as he ran down to get one himself. Honestly, the more he was seeing of this set up, the more he was certain that Enby was going to enjoy herself here. If she wasn't also one of his oldest friends he would say there was a real risk that she might decide not to ever leave this type of scene.

Instead it was only kind of a jealous hint of a worry at the back of his mind - totally manageable!

"We gettin the thing by using some violence and a heck of a lot of running the feck away."

The unruly teenage way.

He pointed to an area that one of the fighter teams was using as a pit stop as their fighter came in for a quick check up.

"One of us distracts them - the other stuns the pilot and takes their shite. When we're ready to take off for the race, the other jumps in with them and we fly off."
he decided, looking kind of sheepish, "... you're probably the best bet for the pilot."

He was man enough to admit he fecking sucked at something.
