Survival trainings were a part of training within the Sith Order. Often times, Acolytes were dropped off alone, in pairs, or in groups with little or no supplies. They were expected to survive for a set amount of time or find a way off the hellhole they had been dumped onto. Geonosis thankfully wasn't a find your way off type training. Instead, both Karys and his partner Vossari had to survive for a week on the world with only the equipment they had brought with them. They weren't informed of this survival training, instead it was sprung on them after being smuggled through ISC space and onto Geonosis itself.

That had been five days ago.

This was one of the final days of survival the pair would have to endure. However, their rationed water had ran completely out. Vossari being Wrean meant this was an absolute disaster, it had forced the pair to approach one of the ruined Spire cities the Geonosians once dwelt in. They would need to scavenge for supplies and find water for Vossari, even if it was still water, they had to keep him cooled off.

Karys had been wearing his usual outfit when roaming the open Galaxy. The dark green flight jacket overtop his light combat armor, with a pair of black pants. He wore bits of armor he’d kept from Zygerria. Namely a shoulder pauldron, bracers, and a pair of rugged boots. On his belt, Karys had his blaster pistol, a few reloads, his lightsaber hilt was tuck onto the back of his belt and hidden by his jacket, and his EZphone. To any outsiders, he would appear like a Zeltron-offshoot scavenger.

"Almost there." Karys told his partner as he pointed at the looming ruins.

The pair would cautiously make their way into the ruins and begin searching room to room in order to find what scant few supplies the spire still offered. They had to survive.

If one thing was for certain, Vossari was glad they packed their environmental suit. Who'd've thought, bringing an aquatic species to a dry, desert planet could be bad! Luckily, they had been prepared this time. Careful use of rations and near-constant wearing of their environmental suit had been near claustrophobic, but they felt a healthy evenness as they explored throughout the planet. Temperature and moisture were managed, even if they had to sneak some extra water rations here and there.

Their back was still scarred from their time on Saleucimi, scars marring their once-beautiful, delicate tattoos. There had been a lesson in this: Adapt to your strengths, compensate for your weaknesses. Learning to survive in a harsh, foreign climate was, then, an indelible part of their training within the Sith.

For days, they had traveled together. Scavenged for what little food and water they could find. Hunted the remaining game that dotted the landscape. Cupping their eyes around head, they scanned the environment as their suit's magnifier zoomed in across the landscape.

Within the ruins, Vossari spotted something that could greatly change their fates. An old vaporator of geonosian make sat in the old building. Hopefully, it had a solar power cell. An instant source of water, even if it took the slow buildup of a vaporator, would be a great find for their day.

Vossari checked their equipment, just to make sure they hadn't lost anything: Vibroblade, check. EZ Pods, check. EZ phone...ah it was in that pocket...check. Lightsaber, check.

Without the rations, they truthfully didn't have that much. Vossari nudged Karys and gestured at the vaporator. "Yooooooooooooooooo," they drew it out way too long, "check that out. I think we could get water from that. You think it still works?"
