Lorn would be gone for twenty hours, having reached the jungle in eight hours, and returning by using the safer, but longer path to return to the Bogan temple in twelve hours. This would give Vaxvesh more than enough time to conduct his own activities, specifically training. Since he had chosen to wait till Lorn arrived, the former Padawan would undertake various training activities such as telekinesis, as well as force meditation.

Twenty hours later, the Zabrak sensed Lorn arriving, sensing a small increase in his proficiency with force stealth. Getting up from his cross legged position, Vaxvesh went to the exit. When he arrived, he saw Lorn battered and bruised but victorious, the Dark Jedi Apprentice having completed his task with excellent proficiency. Vaxvesh could also see a Sandcat's head being carried by Lorn's hand. That brought a small smile in his face.

"You have done good Lorn. You actually exceeded my expectations. A lot of Sith, and Jedi would have probably taken two days to return if they even could return but you, you did more than enough to impress me." Vax stated, his hand approaching the man.

"And now I have another request for you to do. One must advance quickly in this times especially with the Imperium having perverted our teachings. I want you to be my apprentice Lorn. If you accept, your potential will begin to be cultivated with my teachings but be warned, this will not be an easy task. That is why I ask for you to be my apprentice." Vaxvesh stated, his tone showing no emotion at all.

I would damn well hope I impressed you, killing a cat this large with only my bare hands and a rock.

Nonetheless, Lorn was glad to receive some sort of acknowledgement for his trial-and even more for the offer of apprenticeship the other Dark Jedi made to him. It was difficult to get noticed as an apprentice in the Bogan, with the attention of so many of them directed elsewhere, but had succeeded. Having a master was a crucial step towards his goal of becoming a Knight, and from there, learning how to heal his daughter and keep her safe.

Dropping the bloody rock to the floor with a clatter, he reached out with his now-free right hand and took Vaxvesh’s firmly. Then, he glance down at the bloody head of the Sandcat.

“A gift for you, if you desire. You can make a hat out of this fellow’s fur fairly easily, and a Sandcat Skull would look good mounted on a wall.”

Vaxvesh could feel Lorn's emotion.s He knew that the Apprentice thought that he deserved it, and that was certainly true. When the Human reached out his right hand to the Dark Jedi Initiate, Vaxvesh reached out his right hand as well, and shaked the hand, nodding in order to show that he acknowledged Lorn's accomplishments today. After shaking his hand, he replied to Lorn's statement

"You certainly have a funny sense of humor" he stated. "I will think about it." Vaxvesh stated, his tone for once changing to reveal that he was being sincere.

After the discussion, Lorn and Vaxvesh left, each of them going to their separate quarters in their separate levels. "You will be a good asset to the Bogan Lorn." Vaxvesh stated, sitting down with a smirk. Vaxvesh saw through Lorn. Out of that nice, kind demeanor was someone that wanted to be powerful, was someone that was cold and calculative, and was someone that was manipulative.

The thought of having an apprentice did not shake him. In fact, he was happy that Lorn accepted. Now it had started.
The journey of the master and the apprentice had begun.
