Nara's blade hissed as Kori parried it away, deflecting her stab. The sapphire blade pierced towards the air, fizzing against the other saber. Nara gritted her teeth and tried to put some strength into breaking that guard, but it seemed to hold pretty well. Kori wasn't going to be beaten that way, that was for sure.

She saw the spin as it happened, watching Kori shift and move, her leg heading towards her. It was too late for Nara to dodge, not without letting go of the saber completely. She braced, waiting for it as one hand slipped from her saber hilt. As she did, the foot smacked into her lower leg. A jolt of pain ran through her as her knee threatened to buckle, her form taking a shake and a wobble. Nara growled as she lashed out, that free hand taking the advantage.

As Kori's foot smacked into her, her arm would move to try and curl around Kori's leg. If she was quick enough, she'd trap that foot and leg right against her, providing a sudden jolt to Kori's movement, leaving her off-balance. Perfect for her guard to drop, or for Fiach to really get in there. It wasn't the most fair play in the world, but Nara wasn't a fair person. Fighting dirty had kept her breathing so far.

Location: The Overlook

It looked like Nara was doing the heavy lifting yet again, while Fiach sought to capitalize on the distraction. Nykoria deflected Nara's blade to the side. With one of Nara's hands letting go, it became even easier to keep her blade away. But as Kori's own kick connected, getting the human Jedi off balance, she found her leg held against Nara's. "Handsy," Kori chuckled under her helmet, both to bait Nara and to distract her. It was a stalemate, but the Zeltron still had one advangage. Her left hand let go of the hilt to capitalize on this awkward grapple... But by that time, Fiach had circled around to stand behind Kori. And she had gone for a Force pull at her leg of all things.

Losing her balance, the Zeltron started falling on her back with a "Woah!", grabbing at anything that could help her. That anything turned out to be Nara's right wrist, the one that was holding Kori's own leg. With the human off-balance by the kick, the Zeltron fully expected to fall on her back and draw Nara to fall onto her as well. Unless the Force had other plans.

If everything went according to the Zeltron's plan, Nara would be thrown off balance by the kick, distracted by the taunt, her lightsaber driven away, and herself falling to the ground; or rather, to Kori, who'd have already fallen on to her back with a pained grunt. However, the Zeltron didn't want Nara's landing to be as soft. She'd raise her right knee, ideally to have Nara's stomach land on it. And then she'd try to use her own grip on Nara, her right leg, and the human's inertia and disorientation to throw the brunette over herself, towards Fiach.

Any swing of Fiach's lightsaber at this point would risk hitting both Jedi in real combat; but it was an option nonetheless. Kori also hoped that by throwing Nara towards Fiach she'd delay her attack, maybe even force her to move her saber away to avoid harming Nara. But more importantly, Kori hoped to earn valuable time to jump up and assume a defensive posture again. What started as a friendly sparring was steadily turning into a gritty victory-no-matter-the-cost showdown.

Fiach had rarely faced another saber user in direct combat. She’d sparred with many, many fellow Jedi, but that was entirely different. And when she’d faced true foes, she’d found it was her use of the Force that kept her alive, not necessarily her blade-work. That was because her preferred style was so entrenched in her philosophy of being a Jedi that she found taking the initiative in a duel near to impossible to do. The closest she came was when she allowed her opponent to wear themselves out – and she capitalised on an obvious mistake, as opposed to carving one out (no pun intended).

So, as the fight developed, Fiach sensed a level of competitiveness that eclipsed anything she’d felt recently. When she was still a Padawan, she tended to spar with Knights and their focus was on improving her – not killing her. But right here and now, she might be forgiven for sensing that this was all about the tick in the win column. Which, if she were asked right now, she would say – honestly – she found uncomfortable. Which, in turn, was why this sort of sparring was essential in her development.

She watched as the two grappled and her own efforts caused Kori to tumble. But rather than allow Nara an opening, they became entangled and the next thing Fiach knew, she had a fellow Jedi flying towards her.

Her first thought was not to attack Kori, but to ensure Nara was OK. In her mind, she was worried she might see her fellow Knight disappear off the edge of the ship. So, she called upon the Force once more and extending a hand, slowing Nara’s flight.

As ever, her minding was working overdrive. Her tactics were never to end a fight quickly, and so the fact that Kori would have time to regroup did not phase her. Two against one meant twice the energy, twice the stamina. In a battle of attrition, she would fancy the odds for the duo every time.

Scene #2: @Jago Haaldin @Reiel Mal Crowholde
Location: Clearing South of the Venator

Jago could only smile as the Mando came at him, it was time to see what she was working with. She started out with an easily readable feint. It was given away by her balance; even though she kept her left hand out of view, the position of her shoulders and the lack of weight behind the right jab telegraphed the deception.

He simply raised his right arm and parried her left hand strike off the right. After he would quick step to her right, curious to see if she could keep her balance after the strike and follow him. The feint while it failed showed she was willing to use deception in her fighting and showed she wasn't straightforward in her approach to combat. He needed to see more though to know if teras kasi was something she could utilize.

His main concern about her ability to learn was her armor. Many of Teras Kasi most powerful skills and advantages relied on the users freedom of movement. While her armor wasn't bulky, he doubted she could pull off more acrobatic techniques while wearing it. He'd put the thought aside though, and see what she came up with next.
