Not for the first time, the good Doc was alone and adrift in a world filled with billions. And yet for once, she was entirely alone; it should have been counted a blessing, but this time around she was so karking bored.

She tipped back in the barstool, idly swirling the contents of a glass that once held some cold beer, now warming slowly. She was bored out of her mind, the endless crowd shoved into this teensy lowbrow space was rowdy, and for once she actually wanted something to happen so at least there was some thinking on her part beyond the mindless observance of so many mindless idiots staggering around.

What could a girl do to get some wild action in a dump like this, she thought wryly as she took another long sip. She wasn't normally a beer gal, but it was the only decent choice they had. She wanted to be slightly buzzed, not pickled into being jet fuel just yet.

There seemed some rowdiness added more to the entrance, and golden eyes flicked up to stare at whatever was causing such a stir. Whatever it was, something going on was better than this endless, mindless nothing!

Feel free to hop in y'all, but please no setting fire to drinks or such. This is a social, feel free to stir up reasonable shenanigans.

No matter the place in the galaxy there was always some bar or club somewhere that had the ability to mix things up. Getting of Triple Z for awhile might actually be good for me. Even if it might end up with a hangover from hell. Pushing past a rather unruly bunch at the entrance I was met with several whistles and obvious stares. Tight, dark pants hugging my curves. Midriff baring maroon crop top, and open black leather vest. Walking in in dark heeled boots... I at the very least knew how to make an entrance.

Heading over to the bar I noticed a woman with pale, ivory skin and hair both. Yet her eyes...the amber coloring was certainly alluring as well. Taking a seat by her I raised two fingers and said "Corellian Whiskey, neat." I briefly let my gaze flick over her then as the barkeep walked back over and set my drink down I handed him a credit chit and simple sat there sipping my drink. Odds were if the stares from the guys hadn't already grabbed attention my drink order would in comparison to how I dressed.

"Look, I can not go in if you want." He said to the spherical droid. But it beeped and whistled dismissively. BG-L0 rotated and headed back to the ship. After a few meters, one of its manipulator arms stuck out and made an attempt at an obscene gesture knowing that Byron was watching it head back to the hangars of the local starport.

Turning away from the frustrated machine he looked back at the establishments sign. It was the first time Byron had actually entered the Nnth'ri atmosphere. Previously he just passed by, once stopping for a refuel at one of the orbital depots. But today he wasn't on any strict schedule.

The solid frame of the engineer pushed past those at the entrance that filled the space and headed towards bar. Some laughing followed in his direction though Byron didn't look over his shoulder to check if they were talking about him. It wasn't like it mattered.

"Uh, mind if I see a list?" he asked with a little hand motion for commercial hologram scrolling that seemed to be universal these days. The server provided one and the man looked over the list for a moment. Some of the brands were practically galactic wide. Byron immediatly ignored all of those. Not because of any pretension. But mostly because he knew they were cheap and lacking in alcohol percentage. The man was in the mood to get a buzz on.

"Can I get...ah kark I can't speak Huttese. Whatever this one is." He pointed at the list that had the 2nd to highest alcohol content. The bartender nodded and went to grab his drink. While that happened Byron looked up and down the bar. There were more attractive faces in this bar than he expected. With a dull thud, the libation was set before him. "'Thanks." The padawan said and paid for the drink. Grabbing the cool glass that already began developing conensation, he saw someone familiar. "Hey! What a strange place to see you again." The man didn't shout but got next to the Doctor.

After being adrift in the void of space for some time, Castus found himself in now in a sad little bar on a much more depressing looking rock. He took a sip from his glass of what was supposed to be brandy. Even with the two ice cubes to cut it, the liquid still tasted more like engine hooch. The sith marauder made a face with every sip from the glass. "I should of ordered the beer", he coughed.

Placing the glass back on the edge of the pool table, Castus returned his attention to his game. Or rather tried to he tried to. The hairs of the back of his neck suddenly stood on end. As he could feel the cool child of the dark side shift, as the light entered the crowd. He signed with irritation as his eyes darted to the barrel chested humanoid moving to the bar.

"Six in the corner." Castus said, again returning to the table before him. Aiming his stick, he tapped the ball. When the six ball slowly moved astray, the human sith twitched his finger. Bringing the ball smoothly into the pocket.

She eyed the newcomer woman with a cool, detached stare. Interesting physique, though the white hair suggested Eichani rather than Arkanian. For a moment, she simply stared, sipping at her own drink. And then, a familiar voice filtered through. Amber eyes flicked over to the owner of the voice... and almost simultaneously, he seemed to recognize her. And even got closer.

She fought the urge to shift away, instead merely nodding once. "It's been a while," she deadpanned, looking the younger man up and down steadily. She couldn't explain why, but there was that feeling again, niggling in the back of her mind. Just like before... and another feeling, someone else watching them from behind. For the moment, she would not deign them a glance, but sipped at her drink.

As soon as she swallowed, she kept talking.
"Looks like you've survived well," she nodded to his own attire. "Met any other biters?"

If anyone else would notice, as Castus(@Taz ) was busy eyeing up Byron, a small Mirialan began sneaking up behind him. Their hand ghosted near where his pocket was, intent to find his credits. Ilana, however, was not paying any attention, as she was now engaged with two faces in this dull routine scene.

Byron looked at her though she seemed to have a bit of an indifferent expression. It seemed to lack a certain friendliness he expected to see in a normal person even if they barely knew one another. Taking a big gulp he thought about his hectic situation on Tol Amm where they had been trapped in a building surrounded with those things. Just him and Izel along with some research egg head who wasn't much help. "Yeah actually...I'd advise staying outside of Tol Amm space for the time being." The padawan followed the advice with a deep drink of the ale. He let out more of an off than a satisfied exhale. The ale was heavy and Byron knew that it was definitely containing its advertised alcohol content.

"How about you? Heard anything about any of the others that we were with?" He hadn't kept in touch with any of the people from that resort planet except Hannibal. Turning to look more towards the bar he casually looked behind the bottles that were stacked aesthetically on different shelves. The mirror that lined the wall behind them allowed him to look around at anybody else in the bar and made it seem like the establishment was bigger than it actually was. Maybe he would play a round of pool later His eyes looked at one of the men near table with a little miralan getting very close to him. Byron's brow furrowed wondering what they were doing getting so close. Oh, wait a second...

There was a bit of a relief to finally find a place that wasn't entirely rowdy, the last few places she passed by included patrons entering, yet exiting rather unwillingly. It was not the type of place she wanted to be, let alone she would be like a beacon to the moths that would draw to her presence. She looked as though she had just finished her job at some high position business company, though it was entirely a rouse as she tended toward the business casual to get past unnecessary questioning. Her bag hung heavily, pulling on her shoulder as she finally decided on an establishment and confidently strolled inside.

Taking a few steps, she looked around quickly, having an idea of where she wanted to sit, but double checked to ensure there was enough space before proceeding. There was laughing and jeering among several factions in the bar, no one seemed to be too bothered by the business of others. It was clear it was someplace low-key, never drawing extra attention, but gave just enough to please patrons for their returned business.

Ultimately satisfied with her decision, Mara had approached the bar, getting a drink rather quickly as she seated herself, pulling out her datapad to read through her notes she had taken from an earlier interview. Her mind working to unwind before filing her report.

A smile drew on his face as the human marauder watched the ball slip into the pocket of the table. Next would come be eight ball. He was about to reach for his glass one more time when he felt it. A small bumped into him, as if blindly running into him. Strange considering he was over twice her size, and impossible for her to miss.

He turned to see her there and glared. She smiled the innocent smile of a thief, and politely apologized in her native tongue, "so sorry mister." Before attempting to walk away.

"Wait", he whispered. A simple single word, but it carried with it a copulation to obey that the mirialan couldn't fight. Castus then took a knee as the girl turn to look again at the human with a blank expression on her face. The Sith leaned in so that only the little thief could hear him. "You can walk away with those fifty credits, Or? You can double it."

The simple look left the little whelp's face as his words sank in. The Sith leaned in a little more and whispered in her ear, glanced over his shoulder toward the man at the bar (@Darasuum ). The mirialan then gave a little nod and scurried away into the busy bar. Satisfied, he rose back to his feet and returned to his game.

A face loomed to mind when he mentioned staying away from Tol Amm; she raised her brows visibly to the young man beside her, taking a long, slow sip of her own whisky. "I see, duly noted," she replied dryly, then winced at the mention of meeting any other biters. "Yeah. On a research camp off of Mimban... nearly lost my life a few times," she commented calmly, giving a deft shrug.

"Still want to look into it though; I have the feeling it could be.."

She trailed off at his expression; he seemed to be watching someone else behind her. Turning around, she caught the object of Byron's attention... and the small body disappearing into the crowd.

Rising up with a sigh, she supposed it was time to make a few friends.

"Care for a game or two?" she rasped coolly, tilting her head to the bar. But something interrupted.

A small squeak of alarm, and a muffled cry. It seemed their little thief had been caught out by someone else; the Rodian that held her wrist squeezed on it, and she let out a yelp of pain. "Please, please, let me go, I-I was just tripping, and I--" her gaze darted nervously, glancing to the smart-dressed woman (@GABA ), and then the rest of the bar, face paling.

"I just fell, I wanted a drink--"

He put on more pressure onto her wrist, and she let out a muffled yelp, face contorted in pain.

A low, raspy voice came up from behind him, hands in her pockets.

"Let go of the girl."

Hopefully, someone would back her up in this impromptu scene, but suddenly eyes were turning away, ducking into their drinks. A good fight was fun and all, but somehow this stank of trouble.

Byron cocked an eyebrow at meeting the eyes of the kid across the bar. His eyes quickly shifting towards the man who was whispering something. But there was some other strangeness that ebbed off of him for a moment. The child then ran off and the padawan looked over towards the Doctor again since she seemed to have been interested enough to turn around a little. "Well I'm down to hear more about it if you want to." Bu she also seemed content with playing a game rather than sitting around.

"Yeah I'd be down for a game." He said and began drinking more of his beer. Byron was still eager to get a decent buzz going. But he also figured he would probably switch to a different bar. There were people just hanging out like it was a cafe and kids running around. He looked mirialan but i don't know. Maybe they're just a short species

His back turned to the rest of the bar and he dropped the tankard down. A hand raised to order a second when he heard the commotion beginning. Turning back around he saw a Rodian grasping the diminutive green humanoid. Yup, that's definitely a kid. Byron instinctively began walking towards it but the Doctor cut in front of him and made a B line for the conflict.

Not surprising there seemed to be trouble stirring; that tended to be the norm and Mara was not fazed but such actions. She took a sip as she bookmarked her place and traded her datapad for her holo-cam, a gesture that showed experienced and the young journalist was ready for just about anything. The kid was making a scene but Mara just kept watching, her thumb toggling the apps on her hand-sized device until the holo-cam was ready to record in a moment's notice. Others seemed to have taken notice, the group around her falling quiet, trying to decide to intervene. However, if it were Mara's safe assumption, the theif was clearly unwelcome, the best that would be done was to release and ban her from the bar.

She picked up her glass with her free hand and took a longer drink, finally finding some flavor that was quickly met with dilution in any consecutive drinks. A white hair woman approached the thief and Rodian, seeming to stand up for the thief as she demanded for her release. Mara set down her glass, debating if this was going to be worth the watch or if she should just avoid this all together and jet faster than a hyperspace jump. She waited though in silence.
