Maru rested on a small bench near a clearing on the Temple grounds, sure he could easily hold a class in one of the training halls but with such a nice day he felt it would be better to host this lesson out in the sun. Though thanks to a few diligent clouds it was shady at times too. He couldn't ask for a better day for this and he hummed a soft tune as he waited looking up at the clouds trying to figure out what they most looked like to him.
Beside him where a small pile of training sabers, each one checked by his own hand to assure they were both fully functional and safe. He snickered to himself remembering once as a prank he had snuck in and reversed the emitters of each training saber for one of his classes back when he was a youngling….when they had ignited their blades they shattered the casing as each one tried to project the beam downwards. But as he allowed himself that little chuckle he forced himself to remember the whole day of one on one sparring he had to endure against his master…..his bones ached just thinking about it.
He gave a sigh as he brought his attention back down to the earth to focus, the class would be starting soon and he glanced at the sabers, his own personal one beside them and his cloak beside it. While he didn't bring it to wear it was helpful for hiding the treats he had brought for his class once the lesson was done, a bundle of apples all hidden beneath the cloak were waiting another thing he had painstakingly checked trying to find only the freshest for them and his stomach growled since of course he had set one of them aside for himself but he would have to wait. There was work to do first.
