"...its been 5 cycles since the last outpost.I miss jumped and now the hyperdrive is fried and needs repairs,of which i have none of the tools to do.R5 is trying to boost the distressed signal and try to locate...something.I am good on supplies but i am in the unknown regions.I dont like it...so much for exploration.Anyways i hope on getting some good news.Hak Te'Jaris closing log."
Hak stood up from his pilot seat,as he gazed on the black void. The Rust Bucket is slowly showing its age with that last dogfight. The hyperdrive was dammaged, together with one of the thrusters making the ship bearly void capable. The life support systems are strained, with the smal astromech try its best to do repairs.Hak put off his armor and folded up his sleeves, grabed his torch and tools and open one of the panels on the ground and started making what ever repairs he could.Things tho didnt look good. The damage was bigger than anticipaded. The naviation disc was also destroyed, making them dead on the water. No map,no hyper drive and one thrusters on fire, thinks were't good. But Hak is a stuborn one and grinded on with the repairs. The least he can do,waiting for help...any help.

"Espaa! We're getting a distress signal! I think."

"Sir? You 'think'? Is the damn thing blinking or not?"

There was an awkward silence from the cockpit for a moment, as Brea turned her attention back to the guts that had been torn out from the ship's hallway. The A-Z-Z-3 was a slow and steady vessel, but it came at a cost. The ship was chosen as a low-armor transport for military supplies to and from Republic installations because of it's similarities to Mon Calamari vessels used by the Rebellion and New Republic fleets respectively.

It was, however, a dated craft. One of the many reasons that Brea had been reassigned to the vessel was familiarity with the ship's systems. She and the rest of the maintenance crew had been dismantling the majority of the inner corridors, rewiring the security and lighting systems and upgrading the terminals to modern firmware.

"...I don't know. The thing keeps flickering. It could be blinking, or it could be you messing with the wires."

Brea huffed in annoyance, swinging the durasteel spanner in her hand at the wall console she'd been working on replacing until the glass framing slammed back into the wall with a distinctive clang.

"That any better?!"

"Ensign! The shield terminal has completely stopped transmitting!"

"Sir, just power up the shield to full and answer. If we've received it, it's already been logged."

Technically, the vessel wasn't due for a refit for the next three years. Her new commanding officer, a fresh-faced lieutenant out of one of many Republic Academies like herself, had elected to order the maintenance crew, under her command, to retrofit the vessel en-route. The ship would not become a mainstay of the Squadron proper, but being that she was a Ranger, it didn't really matter to either her nor the Lieutenant. However, the entire fireteam recognized that it would make an enormous difference to whoever flew this bucket of bolts next. Getting from point A to point B with this thing was a logistical nightmare. Let alone setting up hyperspace buoys - a job that had passed to their crew in particular.

"Are you seriously... fine. I guess you would have to report it if we don't. About 1-2 clicks by sublight. Should be there in about five, I'll transmit a response."

"Great. That gives me five minutes to fix your damn terminal display." Brea nervously spat, rushing back to the cockpit. Dodging past two of the maintenance crew and one very confused security ensign, borderline throwing herself beneath the firing controls as the lieutenant quickly transmitted a response to the distress beacon. Her eyes met the transponder code as she dove, tapping the side of the console to open a channel, even as she knocked out the panel to reveal the wiring underneath.

"Rustbucket RB-7, we noticed your transponder is transmitting a distress signal. We are redirecting to your location. Please advise if you are in a hostile situation."

Ther little astromech was trying to wake Hak up.Its been hours since he dove into the underbelly of the Rust Bucket. Its seems like while repairing some of the damage, the signal was detected by a passing vessel. The astromech rushed to find where Hak was.Finding him snorring under some cables, stil holding the tool he was using. He tried to wake him up multy times, finally he tazed him lightly as an act of frustration.Hak shoot up but he hit his head on a pipe.

"AH BY THE FORCE!!MY HEAD!! R5 WHAT AR-"

,R5 cut him off as he blurted out mechanicals sounds spinning around with excitment."What do you mean some one found us.Dont't play jokes with me you lil devil.".R5 bowed and reproduced the a recording of the messege.A female voice could be heard cleared as day.Hak stood up quickly and run towards the cockpit of the ship, put on his head phones and tried to locate the signal. He treid to much the friquiency and...Bingo!!!.

"Huh..a transport?...maybe a republic ship?Well better than pirates i guess",

R5 made some concerned beeping remarks and looked at Hal.

"Ahem...yes this is RB-7 RustBucket hearing you loud and clear ma'am!!Boy am i happy to hear you...No no we are not in a hostile situation,But i have need of immediate repairs. My hypperdrive and navigation are fried and i am flying blind and slow. Also of my thrusters is blown but my R5 managed to containe the damage.I am dead in the water here and i require help."

Hak stood back and took a deep breath then looked at R5

"well buddy we aint done yet."

That victory was quickly will a large explosion as the thruster of the Ruster Bucket exploded, destroying the boosters completly, leaving only a burned out husk. Now they were complety dead on the water. The explosion rocked the ship, cutting power to all systems, bringing back up the already diplited life support systems. So Hak got back to work, trying to repair this relic of a starship.

"Kriff"

"Seriously. What did he do, fly at 20MGLT directly into an asteroid?"

The description that the being had given concerning their vessel was a most concerning one indeed. It didn't sound like much of anything on the vessel was functional. How he even had life support systems running with the hyperdrive and navigation systems down...

Sure seemed like someone jumped without the calculations. Everyone always raved about the 'dangers' of hyperspace travel. But having worked in the industry herself, the majority of the time the failure fell on the chair-to-terminal interface, not the hyperlanes or drive.

Brea supposed that the astromech would have immediately prioritized that. But the question remained as to why exactly he chose to forgo standard safety procedure.

Protocol dictated that with damages of that magnitude, they'd need to call in for reinforcements. For a number of reasons. Firstly, if the transport had the necessary supplies cordoned off and restricted for military usage, then there was nothing the Ensign or her team could do to help the man. Secondly, even if they could spare the supplies to replace whatever systems on the ship were damaged, without a firsthand inspection there would be no way to determine it's flight viability.

For all she knew, the thing was a smoldering wreck propelled by the last explosion it had encountered. Drifting endlessly through the void of space. If he was this far out, there was not telling if he had already been drifting for hours, days, or months. If the explosion had sent him past the Outer Rim, it would make sense. The only other ships passing by this route were Chiss Ascendancy vessels, Pirates, Smugglers, and Star-farers. Explorers and Gypsies looking for something to salvage. Usually nothing too dangerous.

With the last wire in place, Brea dottily tapped the panel back into place until it was no longer ajar. Rising from the panel to her seat, she tapped the communications channel to audio only, instead of the automated messaging. She would answer, since he was addressing her, while the Lieutenant Commander would quickly request a tug to the damaged vessel's coordinates.

"Glad to hear that, Rustbucket. While I'm flying on over I thought I'd ask you a few standard questions. Did the damage come from a hyperdrive malfunction? Or external damage to the ship? And lastly, are your life support systems capable of sustaining you for an extended period of time?"

Hak managed to bring back online the secondary thrusters and restore full power to the Rust Bucket.Navigation and hyberdrive was still fried but he cant do much anymore.R5 was able to put of the fire and cut the power to damaged thruster, booting up the retro rockets. The Rust Bucket moved back on a stable state.Hak was laughing as that old war dog of a ship still had some bite in it.He raised back on the cockpit as the com link came to life once again.

"Hey A-Z-Z-3 glad to hear from you again.Of course...i mean i dont have something better to do for now hahaha.Well...I think i angered some people during my previous trip and they desided to engage on a dogfight.I can fly but this old boy isnt very fast.It took the hits but it seems my sheild went off and some of those lovely gentlemen struck a lucky shot on my Navigation.I tried to jump on Hyperspace but i think their was a chained reaction frying both. Now for the thruster happend the same but it wasn't that bad...well so much for hoping.Life support is back online yes.I managed to reroute power to the ship and the retro buster so i can keep afloat.I am waiting for your arrival."

Hak stood up and looked out of the window looking the space outside, looking for his rescue.R5 came back he was whining a bit,

"I know buddy, look when we are done we going on vacation,i own you a nice oil bath."

Shujaa relinquished the flight controls to his astromech and reclined in his cockpit. With two fingers, he rubbed both temples in frustration. For once, the information had checked out, but the suspect had been able escape. So now the Jedi let his starfighter careen through open space.

"I'm a Knight of the Order," he thought to himself. "Apprehending rogue Jedi shouldn't be this difficult. In hand-to-hand combat, easy. This starfighter crap though..." he trailed off as his kicked a panel near his foot. With that action, his astromech exclaimed a response in droidspeak.

"Oh don't worry BA, I'm not going to hurt our precious ship. It's not her fault I'm terrible at dogfights." The young Jedi Knight sighed again in exasperation. Dogfight might not have been the right word, seeing as neither he, nor the culprit, had fired a single shot. The situation had him at a disadvantage from the beginning. Only having just arrived to the last known location moments before his target fled. Chasing him through space and mistiming a very much needed thrust. He wondered sometimes why he even spent the credits on a fast ship if he could barely control it. Well, he was always stubborn and nothing was ever learned from giving up.

Snapping his train of thought, his droid began to speak again. Asking for coordinates for a destination. "Nowhere, for now. Let's just drift for a moment before returning. I need to eat anyway."

The time passed as he fed himself scraps from a leftover meal. He took time to meditate and alleviate the tensions built from his failed mission, remembering the Code. "Well, BA, let's.."

He didn't get to finish his thought as the droid interrupted with notice of a distress signal. Shujaa pushed his hair from his face and sat upright, suddenly at full attention. "Hail the owner, though keep our identity secret for now, and let's head their way."

Maybe he would have a chance to do some good today after all.

Hak was taking a nap on the seat of his cockpit. He was waiting for that ship to arrive when his deep space sonar caught something new.Hak woke up a bit tired but he managhed to focus his attention to the transmision.

"Huh...that's new.Definetly that Republic freitghter. Its too small, maybe a starfighter...but what are they doing all the way-"

Before finishing R5 whined a bit, having some sarcasm in his beeps.

"Oh come one R5 its not my fault that the damn hyberdrive shot...anyway lets see what we got.Do you have the com link on?"

R5 responed in affermation

"Oh they are hailing us aswell..huh...well i dont have anything to lose other than life support"

Hak cleared his throat and begun transmiting

"Hello, this is Hak Te'Jaris of the Halsion RB-7 "Rust Bucket".I have sustaned extensive damage and i require assistance. My hyperdrive and navigation is all fried up and one of my boosters is blown.I have managed to revert power to the retrothrusters and the second booster are still in working condition. My life support is low,it has some juice for a couple of cicles. My supplies are good tho. Some assistance will definatly be welcomer caus i am currently dude on the water.Hak out"

He stood back and rub the sweat of his brow,as he exclamed with a big sigh

"So much for that damn job...we really need that vacations right R5?"

R5 spined his head and beeped with a bit of humor,as both turned towards the starts

The man's answer- at least she thought he was male, the voice had a bit of a metallic twang to it, as though he was talking through a helmet - were satisfactory and pretty much exactly what Brea had come to assume. Probably some small band of local system pirates thought the man's vessel was easy pickings and decided to try their luck in running the Rustbucket down. The sheer irony of the situation wasn't lost on her - The "Rustbucket" as a ship was ancient, though it had seemed to be upgraded. What the man didn't know is that Brea actually recognized the vessel's transponder code from her childhood.

Before Hak had ever purchased the Rustbucket, it had been on her cousin's side of the family, owned by her uncle. At least, the transponder had come from an ancient YG-1292 Freighter that had been registered in ancient times, the part likely having been passed around from person to person for years now. The ship's frame may have been different, but it didn't change the fact that Hak was unknowingly flying in the Vahla equivalent of the Flying Dutchman. The only ship with the same status in her people's folklore as the Rustbucket was The Riverboat Fantasy, a vessel owned by the ancient Jedi Knight, Aliyah Phoenix-Coven.

It amused her to no end. The fact that she was here to rescue a being sitting in a vessel she didn't recognize, with a transponder code she knew almost by heart. As she began to reply to Hak's assertion, the proximity alert on the motion sensors began to whine and klaxon in concern. The Lieutenant Commander wheeled in his seat, his eyes drifting to meet Brea's widened with concern. The young Vahla simply raised an eyebrow and turned back to the radar, attempting to check this new vessel's transponder code. Brea pinged the vessel, to no avail. She tried again, entering the commands into the console to directly receive any transponder code being transmitted. Still... nothing.

It was possible the vessel was out of range, or some celestial body was blocking the tranponder signal from reaching their vessel, but neither was a possibility that her commanding officer would accept. She knew him well enough to know what was to come next.

"Ensign, forward deflectors on full. Code Yellow. Open a wideband frequency channel."

"Yes, sir. Shields full, weapons systems hot. Channel open. Transmitting visual and audio."

The new vessel would receive the reply from the Rustbucket, in addition to several pings on their transponder signal, and an open communication hail from an approaching vessel marked with a Republic serial number. Though weapon systems were activated, it was merely another part of protocol. Unknown vessels were not uncommon and damaged transponders a dime a dozen. However, if this was a pursuit effort by the Rustbucket's assailants, they'd be essentially gliding headlong into a trap.

The male voice would be heard, gravely informing the two vessels;

"Rustbucket, unidentified vessel, this is Lieutenant Commander Autumn Hayes with the New Republic Military. With me are a full compliment of the Republic's finest, and there are reinforcements enroute. Please activate your transponder and transmit your identification codes, or otherwise inform us of your intentions. Thank you."
@Lost Continuum @SgtGasMask
Just so you know, I'm not saying your ship is the same as mine from a couple of timelines ago, but they share the same name and an uncanny similarity in appearance, so I insinuated that the transponder installed on your ship used to belong to my version of the Rustbucket, which fought many a Sith in ancient times.

Hak was fixing some of the wiring on the walls of the RustBucket trying figure out why some lights of the ship were't powered. As he was waiting for the help to arrive,he felt unease with the second ship that was arriving. He thought that the least the the New Republic can do is confescate some random item they might find.He didnt like bureaucrats but,he appreated the front line troopers.Suddenly the ship kicked into alert mode as it seems that someone was poiting a big ol'gun on him.He rushed to the cockpit of the ship, making calibrations and bringing weapojns and shields online. He turned to R5 and said to him,

"R5 man the upper turret!! Wait for my order...this might be a misunderstading but i ain't playing games this time.We are not as fast...but we can punch a hole through a transport..."

R5 rushed to the turret of the ship and was waiting for Hak's command.Hak was tensed again, still havent snapped out of the adrenaline of the previous fight. Then the comm link flared up and now a loud and clear voice of the lieutenant commander.Anxiety rushed throu Haks body as the messege played on.

"...holy...hell.This guy doesnt mess around."

Hak powered down the front cannons, but turned to R5 and shouted out

"R5 STAY THEY...I AINT LETING MY GUARD DOWN.DONT DO ANYTHING BEFORE I TELL YOU!!"

R5 beeted with a tone of anxiety and fear.

"I KNOW BUDDY...lets keep calm huh?"

R5 beeted affermativly.
Hak turned to his console and become calibrations. He activated his transponder and become to transmit his identification codes to the New Republic ship. And then he waited. This felt so tense.Hak had some encounters with the New Republic in his two years of travel but he tried to be on their good side.Lets hope this new vessel wasnt some one in a bad mood.

Shujaa sat upright at his controls as the vessel began to pickup speed. He braced himself because he still wasn't quite comfortable with the velocity of his starfighter, but soon settled in as it reached a comfortable cruising speed. BA beeped a warning that not only were they approaching one ship, there was another ship on approach as well.

Shujaa strained to place his eyes on the vessels through his viewport, but to no avail. They were too far away currently to see clearly, though the blips representing their position was clear on the radar. Taking a moment, he noticed that one was motionless. This must be the one that sent the distress signal. Just then, a message was received.

"Rust Bucket, it seems." he said softly to himself. As he prepared to respond, multiple transponder pings were received, this time from the unknown ship. He tensed for a moment as he still wasn't sure whether this was a threat or not.

"BA, activate shields and ion cannons. We won't attack unless provoked, but better to be prepared."

Just as the Jedi was readying himself for action, a messaged was received. After taking a moment to listen, he heaved a heavy sigh and relaxed. "Activate transponder, BA, they're friendlies."

As he continued his approached, he relayed a message of his own.

"Rust Bucket, New Republic vessel, this is Jedi Knight Shujaa Yako, Justicar of the Jedi Order. I'm here to assist."

"Jedi? What are they doing all the way out here?At least they are not pirates...or him"

Hak murmured under his breath and turned towards R5 who was still at the turret.

"R5 get down here, they are friendlies."

R5 wheeled in the cockpit of the ship and let out a string of droidspeach full of sarcasm but also anxiety.

"I know buddy. At least we know what we are dealing with. But a Jedi all the way out here? These people are always followed by trouble. And yes i know we do to..but its in the job description haha"

R5 let out an annoed string of droid speetch and wheeled out the cockpit

"Oh come on man!! At least i fixed you after that!! So stop whining you bucket of bolts"

Hal turned to the radar and the two ships were slowly approching his possision. He stood back on his seat and rubbed his temple. He deactivated alert mode so he can conserve power to the lifesupport. He stood up And went to check the damage again. He opened the engine bay to check on the hyperdrive again. He begun to feedle with the wires, managing to unplug it for the power source. He un bolted it and removed the main piece of the drive. It was fried with all wires burnes, thats something he wasnt able to fix.He let it on the side of the work bench and then turned and headed to find the navigator. He un bolded some pannels and disapear under the floor of the Rust Bucket. He found the navigation module, buit some thing seemed off.The core was intact but its seams a failsafe was activated cutting the surge of power, saving the module.

"Huh...i cant remember instaling this, maybe an old trick left by grandpa? At least chaing cables is something i can do easily"

He poped his head up from the opened pannels and yelled to R5

"R5 can you get a power converter cable?I have a spare in the storage area. And you said we would never use this hahaha."

R5 beebed annoyed and fenched the large power cable,he handed to Hak

"Ok now go to bridge and when i tell you to cut the power you do it,dont worry for emergensy life support will kick in but we need to work fast."

R5 rushed to cockpit ready for the go-ahead,Hak was also preparing.

"3..2..1...NOW!!!"

R5 put off the power and the ship went completely dead. Then emergency lights flicker on.Hak begun unbolting the burned cable and started replasing it with the new one.He quickly bolted it on and shouted "BRING IT ONLINE R5!!!"
The lil astromech activated the ship's power again, bringing back to life. The new cable worked! The navigation module sparked to life and started transmiting.R5 beeped and twirled happily saying that the nagvigation is back online.Hak shoot up from the exposed panels. He let ou a triumphant laugh and went to the navication map in the centra concole. He activated it and it flickered to life showing the galactic map, after focusing to the current location.

"Huh...ok...we are definatly in the unknown regions.Ok this is the jedi fighter...and the New Republic ship.Hmmm oh there is a space station nearby, might need to mention that whne they arrive.Hmmm maybe there is also some work there. For now lets wait...damn i hate suprises.."

Hak stood silent looking at the map for a moment before deactivating it and returned to his pilot seat.He stood there silent..looking the stars again, but now a bit prouder cause he fixed the navigation.

"Jedi! Colonel! He's a Jedi!"

The sharp twang of deep celtic intonation could be heard from the vessel's mess, their non-commissioned officer in command, desperately trying to inform both Lieutenants, Second and Commander respectively. Luckily they'd heard the audio just as well as anyone else, with Hayes seeming to slouch. He'd lost the bet - again. He'd made the mistake of a gentleman's wager on how many times damaged ships would actually be traps.

"So that's what? Five days?"

"Second Left-Tenant Espaa... One day, only."

She appreciated his gusto, his rank surely making it seem that he was far more experienced that the reality. He may have been an officer longer than Brea, and had the specialist training to show for it, but when it came to working with the enlisted he always missed the mark. Now, their enlisted were allowed to drink or smoke a single vice at the mess for the remainder of the day.

That's why the lower enlisted (Private to Master Sergeant) loved her - Senior NCOs and junior Officers hated that aspect of her commission. The Warrant Officers just laughed when they heard, being the chief of shamers that they are.

"Thank you, sirs. We'll be there in about four minutes, give or take. If you can get there before us and make sure everything is in order that'd be appreciated..."

She shuttered the shielding and redirected power away from the weapons, mainly to navigation and maintenance. It would take their vessel a few more minutes to arrive, being that it flew with all the grace of an asteroid propelled by two half-empty bottle rockets.

"...Can't say I expected to run into Jedi this close to Ascendancy borders. You can go ahead and shut down your transponder, Knight Yako. Same for you, Rustbucket..."

The Commander turned to Brea, who simply nodded her head.

"...Don't want to attract unwanted attention. Ensign Espaa and her crew will handle your repairs."

The com link flared online and the voice of the commander could be heard,a bit more relaxed now as the situation was defused.Hak and R5 let out a sigh of relief as no one was going to be blown to smitherings.

"Roger that Commander, waiting for your arrival.I shall prepare for docking as well.Rust Bucket out."

Hak stood up started preparations for the arrival of the vessels.R5 followed and helped along.

"Hey buddy go hide that crate a bit better, might as well throw a tarp over it for good measure.I have no mood for those Ofiifcers snooping around,ok?"

R5 spined around and grumpled a bit but started working on hiding some of the cargo that Hak was bringing along.

"Its been a while since i met a Jedi...lets make ourselves a bit more presentables"

Hak,once he finished preparations, headed to his quarters. He began to dawn on his armor. A mix of various armor pieces, both colour and design. And now he waited for their arrival.

BA whined and droned as the latest message was received. The little droid had developed a strange personality trait of looking forward to conflict. A by product of his time with the Justicar, hunting down rogue Jedi and other elements of dark side corruption across the galaxy.

"Remind me to give you a memory wipe next time we're planetside." Shujaa spoke softly to his companion. The little droid beeped a response of disagreement as it removed power from the weapons systems, shields, and shutdown the transponder. These two had spent much time together. Working to provide peace and safety in the midst of the Empire and the Sith Order. Though all of their adventures didn't always work out smoothly, Shujaa and BA enjoyed the journey just as much.

"Rust Bucket, I'm approaching on starboard. I'm not much of a mechanic so we will wait for the military to arrive. They are surely more prepared to fix your systems than I am."

His ship began to slow as it rounded about to the side of the Rust Bucket. Shujaa gave a slight wave through the viewport as he passed in front of the bridge of the larger vessel before coming to rest beside it.

"Lieutenant Commander, my path brings me across all areas of the galaxy. I'm more often than not in areas you wouldn't normally expect to find a Jedi. That being said, let's be quick about this. I'll hold position with weapons enabled, just in case."

With that came an almost happy whine as the laser cannons activated from BA without even an order. Shujaa let a small smile form across his face.

"I really need to give him a memory wipe."

Hak headed back to the cockpit and noticed the starfighter, and gave a quick salute to the Jedi piloting the vessel. He opened communications again with the New Republic ship.

"Commander Hayes this is Rust Bucket.I would like to inform you that i have completed preparations and the ship ready for Docking."

He closed communications and turned to R5 as he wheeled back from the storage

"Did you managed to hide it?"

R5 spinned his head beeped with a concern.

"I know buddy...we cant let them find this tho.I made promise to the Elder i will not make that same mistake ok?These people had the short end of the stick handed to them. And we are try to help"

R5 let out a sad beep and stood there. For the following minutes Hak would wait the New Republic ship to arrive.

The sluggish freighter had finally reached the derelict vessel. From the initial visual scans, it had been surmised the vessel did not sustain a significant amount of carbon scoring on it's exterior. That was a good sign. Meant the vessel's hyperdrive hadn't decided to send half the ship here, and the other half into the ninth quadrant. The Jedi's vessel, as Brea had expected, looked pristine and proper. The Rustbucket, by contrast in comparison to it's lack of damage, certainly looked the part. At least it had a relatively fresh paint job, though it was obvious that the coating was primarily intended to patch up carbon pockets across the durasteel frame.

The vessel's internal systems were not in such a good condition. A cursory, minimal scan had revealed that the majority of the internal systems had been overloaded due to a large energy pulse. Likely the ship's safety systems attempting to divert power away from a malfunctioning hyperdrive. It was either that, or they'd been hit with a massive ion cannon. Nothing else could tear through the ship's shielding and have this manner of effect - save perhaps ramming your vessel into a nova storm, or purposefully entering a hyperlane that intersected a celestial object.

The scan also revealed one life form, and a droid. Nothing else. Which was yet another good sign. If there were any other beings onboard, they were either in an area immune to their probing, or not currently alive. Which would be cause for some concern.

"Alright, Rustbucket. I'm requesting permission to dock. If you'd like, Captain Yako, you can bring your vessel to Rustbucket's portside, dock with him, and then when we dock him you will be able to come aboard and resupply.

While you are onboard, should you choose to, it goes without saying you are to treat our ship like New Republic space. Awaiting confirmation for docking procedures, over."

Brea brought the ship towards the Rustbucket in simple array, activating the starboard thrusters to spin them about. Once she had accomplished that, the A-Z-Z-3 would begin a slow-burn to lower their velocity until it matched the Rustbucket's own. Once the ship's orbit had synchronized, it was up to the Captain of the Rustbucket respectively to give the all-clear. Assuming he did, Brea would begin the docking protocols - latching his vessel to the side of their own using a magnetic extendable walkway. The vessel wasn't equipped with a tractor beam - hence why they'd called the Space Tug.

"You got the all clear Commander!! My ship preped and ready for docking, over and out"

Hak activated the docking ports as he felt the magnetic pull of the walkway. He turned to R5 and with a smirk said

"Well...act civilised now bud,you dont want those New Republic people think we are savvages hehehe"

R5 let out an annoyed blurb of droid speetch and pocked with his tazer

"HEEY OUCH...fine...well it wasnt really your fault that time..."

R5 let out a grumble and went back to the resting area.

"Damn...we both need some vacations..."

As Hak finished the last calibration for the docking, the Rust Bucket growned for a moment showing its old age.But Hak was ready to meet those new arrivals.

Shujaa watched the New Republic vessel as it closed in and began it's docking maneuvers. BA took controls of the ship and repositioned it. The droid decided to show off a bit and lifted the ship above the Rust Bucket and with a quick spin relocated it to the other side.

"Someone is feeling well now."

The Jedi listened to the incoming transmissions and took heed of the invitation to dock. "Power down the weapons, BA. Let's dock with the Rust Bucket and formally introduce ourselves to the crew." The starfight began to slow to a crawl as the droid carefully moved it within range and connected the airlocks.

A small hiss escaped, as the pressure on both sides stabilized. Shujaa stood from the cockpit and straightened his robes. Pushing his long dreadlocked hair out of his face and up into a ponytail, leaving the light brown skin of his face fully exposed. Clipping his lightsaber to his belt, he walked down to the airlock as it began to open up into a short and narrow hallway. BA followed closely behind and they head from one ship, to the next.

The Jedi vessel docked with the Rust Bucket, contrasting one another. On one side the prestine and well kept starfighter that might have minimum or any combat by the looks of it,and on the other the rusted and well tested haul of the old freighter,a relic of an old war that still had some fight in it.Hak walked towards the docking door and waited for the Jedi's arrival. The door of the airlock opened with a grown and the figure of man walked through followed by his droid.R5 stood behind Hak and bulred out some droid speetch, welcoming the pair.Hak looked for a moment the lightber belt and then looked at the man.He smirked and bowed slightly,

"Welcome aboard the Rust Bucket Master Jedi.I am Hak Te'Jaris, adventurer, occasional bounty hunter and the captain of this mighty vessel.Sorry to put out of your course but as you saw i am in a bit of awkward situation."

Hak extened his hand for a handshake trying to be polite...or as much polite as he could at least.Around him the Rust Bucket kricked and growned as the thrusters rebalanced the vessel. The intirior of the Rust Bucket was in a bit of a better condition than the outside. Some burned out lights here and there, some exposed pannels and hanging wires around. The modifications were visible as new bits and pieces were instaled to old paneling and machinery. But it also had some personal details.A poster of some girl in engieneer attire, decorations and some markings around the lounge area, maybe the people that traveled with him.On one of the walls it a fainted but still visible emblem. It looked like it was the emblem of the Resistance, but it felt older,as old as the ship.Maybe the Rust Bucket was older than it looked. The atmosphere was warm tho, like steping in someone's home.

As the Jedi's ship docked with the Rustbucket, so too did the A-Z-Z-3, the metallic hissing and tightening of durasteel and duraplast against a magnetic field could be heard as all three vessels shuddered momentarily, until the trio of vessels had synchronized and flew as one. To the untrained eye, it would appear to be a massive freighter made from several ships - which would no doubt help them in avoiding unwanted company. The downside to that was their signature on sonar was absolutely massive. If anyone bothered to scan that particular frequency, it would be short order to locate all three crews.

Quickly nabbing the navy blue leather coat she usually wore over her sage flight suit, Brea left the cockpit. Didn't need to check in with the Commander - they'd done this routine a hundred times over. The maintenance crew, all three of them drabbed in their orange-marked gear, had already prepped themselves and had begun to board before she had even managed to reach the docking tube. She was the last to board, along with the agromech droid responsible for ferrying the needed wiring and electronic parts. A quick glance at the ship's interior told the Ensign that her techs would feel right at home here.

"Get started on removing the faulty wiring. I'll be along to oversee rewiring, and power cycling, just in case this old ship has any other nasty surprises in store. If you need me..." Brea motioned down to her datapad, which was littered with checklists hyperscrolling in Aurabesh, "...I'll be doing the safety checklist. And the requisitions, logistics, and after-action."

What she didn't outright state was that Brea was also responsible for making sure the Rustbucket didn't house any unwanted dangers to those under her command. As well as ensuring this wasn't an undercover slave vessel - some had managed to get away with emergency repairs in the past. Apart from that, with this being outside of New Republic jurisdiction, it did not fall under her purview to enforce anything beyond common sense.

"Nice ship you've got here. Homely. You said your name was... Te'Jaris..." Brea raised the datapad and typed the last name in, having only caught it while entering the lounge parallel to the Rustbucket's cockpit. "...sorry, didn't catch your first name. I'll need that. I'll also need to take a quick look around, make sure there isn't any hidden damages causing these system-wide issues...

Oh.

Where are my manners...

I'm Brea Lynn."
