Kashyyyk

Though Thel didn’t have any particular interest in alchemy, he recognised that many of his fellow Sith did. Helping to obtain specimens for experimentation could be a useful way to develop connections with other Sith. He had recently helped the Sith known as Chirikyât with obtaining some creatures.

Thel had managed to track down a group of Trandoshans who had set up a fairly large camp in a remote part of the forests of Kashyyyk. The camp was made up of various wooden huts and canvas tents. The Trandoshans had been capturing Wookies and imprisoning them on their ship. Presumably they intended to sell them off. Thel aimed to capture the ship and the Wookies onboard it.

He had managed to find a Sith who was interested in joining him: Azar Kressh. They had not met before. In the past, Thel had preferred to keep his distance from other Sith. It was the difficult situation the Sith Order found itself in that forced him to begin cooperating more with the others. He had worked well with other Sith he had met in similar circumstances, such as Ambrosia and Cyutadakyr. He hoped it would be the same with Azar.

Thel stood in a clearing, at the top of a cliff. He had chosen to wear the outfit he usually did. The coordinates had been sent to Azar and he awaited the other Sith’s arrival. When Azar arrived, they could make their way to the Trandoshan camp.

Half the reason Azar signed up for this mission was because of his previous terrible encounter with Trandoshans. They began to hunt him and he barely escaped with his life. However, he stewed in that memory till this mission came up and he practically sprang at it. The Pureblood was dressed in light armor actually in camouflage design with a face covering to hide the lower hemisphere of his face. With red skin and yellow eyes, he hoped to pass as some random race instead of anyone being able to pinpoint he was a Pureblood. Thel, as a Sith, would know what he was however.

He moved to arrive next to Thel. He silently surveyed the other man. He was silent, working in the shadows, but often making big moves. It was the kind of man that was dangerous, the kind of traits that Azar’s traditions valued. By that virtue alone, Azar wouldn’t be as dismissive as usual, “Azar,” He said with a thick accent, introducing himself.

Trandoshans were excellent trackers, so they had to think like them. The fact that Thel was not dressed to blend into the jungle could pose an issue. Azar said nothing about it, slowly beginning to make his way towards the camp. He stayed in the shadows and behind foliage, his camouflage easily allowing him to disappear. He also made a point to mess up his tracks as he moved.

Thel sensed Azar’s presence and he turned to face his fellow Sith as they approached. Azar was dressed in armour with a camouflage pattern. The bottom part of his face was obscured by a covering. Even with his face partially hidden, Thel still recognised that Azar was a pureblood. He looked at Thel with a steely gaze.

Thel gave a slight bow of his head, in response to Azar’s greeting. “A pleasure to meet you Azar. My name is Thel.

Azar seemed determined to get moving quickly, so Thel let him take the lead. It soon became apparent, if the camouflage hadn’t already given it away, that his fellow Sith was very concerned about concealing their presence. Trandoshans could be dangerous and they were competent hunters, but Thel felt confident that he and Azar would be able to deal with them. He had been on the planet for a few days, before Azar arrived, and the Trandoshans seemingly hadn’t become aware of his presence in that time. Still, he did appreciate Azar’s caution.

He maintained distance between himself and the pureblood. Azar was difficult to see in his camouflaged attire, but Thel could keep track of his presence in the force. They were getting closer to the camp’s location.

Approaching the camp revealed that it wasn’t very well guarded, which meant that they were likely doing another run to trap more Wookiees. This left only the auxiliary support behind which consisted of a handful of Trandoshans. They had stolen rifles in their arms, patrolling around where the Wookiee were held.

“We attack or we distract,” Azar said with his thick accent, gazing at his partner for the mission. Option one was to rush in knowing they could take out the trandoshans and make a break for it with the prisoners. Option two was splitting up where one would create some kind of distraction to draw the guards away and the other would take off with the ship and meet up at a rendezvous point. Both options had pros and cons, and he waited for Thel’s input.

Thel followed Azar until they reached the Trandoshan camp. Fortunately, they hadn’t encountered any resistance on their way. He squinted to take a closer look at the camp. It appeared to be lightly guarded. Only a few Trandoshans armed with rifles. There were a small group of Wookies held captive. Probably more imprisoned on the Trandoshan ship.

Thel looked over at Azar when he stated what he thought their two options were. “Perhaps you could create a distraction, to lead some of the guards away. However, the Trandoshan ship we will be stealing does need two to fly it. You would need to get to the ship before we can escape.
