Kale had observed the history of the Bogan. he had read about the Legions of Lettow, observed their rebellion of the shits that were called Jedi. He read on how they were suppressed and then the empire rose. The Dark Jedi of the Bogan. He felt as thought signs turned against the Bogan, though. Soon, another change would need to be made. The Dark Jedi would reform again. Kale felt something of a desire to lead that change though. He would call them the Sith, or something like that.

For now, Kale needed to hone his power and grow. He was sitting with his legs crossed in the middle of the floor in the large room of the training temple. There were pillars and statues being held up on very thing stands all around him. He kept his lightsaber in his right hand, making it a necessary part of his meditation as he awaited his master. The yellow-coated amaran had a strong connection with the force. The masters who found him had told him about the purpose they saw in his future. Kale only let this fuel his hatred for the Jedi. He opened his blue eyes and searched the room, sensing a presence come closer until he heard audible foot steps. His master was near...

(( OOC: Don't make any mention to revolutions. The Sith still won't come close to existing for 6,000 years. ))

Waves of confidence.

Judicar strode surely and proudly through the halls of the Bogan Temple on Conscio. The Crusader walked among his peers, but his own head was lifted high. Recently he had received the surprising information that his own former Master, the High Lord Nescius Caedo, had risen to the rank and was now the interim leader of the Empire. Judicar sensed good things for the Empire, even though they now faced a formidable foe in the Hutt Empire.

A new challenge had arisen today for Judicar. For a while since being promoted Judicar had wanted to take on an apprentice of his own, and finally the opportunity had arisen. A brash Amaran had entered, and Judicar had been tasked with taming the beast. He was raw and unrefined, but hopefully not lacking potential for the Bogan's ranks.

Judicar rounded a corner and neared the training room where his apprentice awaited him. He cast out his senses and noted him and a few other Acolytes in surrounding rooms. He depressed a button next to the room and entered, to be greeted by the Amaren. He held his lightsaber in hand, and was in a meditation. Judicar was prepared to interrupt that rather abruptly.

"Kale Gared. I am Judicar, your Master for the duration of your stay in the Bogan. Rise."

Kale snickered and obeyed. So his training would begin. He clipped his lightsaber back to his belt, but was fast enough to get it out when needed. He was fully prepared for anything, or so he thought. Kale inspected his master, a human male about twenty four years in age. This would be interesting, if his master was a strong and as powerful as they say. He could sense his pride, but also the roots of the darkside in him. Kale wanted power like that.

"Welcome, master. My hopes for easy training on your part, and best regards," he said respectfully. He knew his master deserved the respect he obtained, being a man of his stature. Kale wouldn't bow, though. Death was common for fools in the empire, and Kale was no fool. He would make sure the others knew this. Kale would surpass where his peers could not.

Judicar's face hardened at the arrogant sneer on the feline's face. This one needed discipline.

"If you are to become a full, useful member of this Order than this training should be hard on both of us." Judicar paused. "What is your background in using the Force and training with the lightsaber?"

"I know I have power, and I know I want it. My power is weak now, but I want to strengthen it. I want to become better than those weak ****ing Jedi. And I studied a small bit of Djem So. My skills aren't great, but I'm eager to feed my hunger for power," Kale said. His blue eyes seemed to glow along with the red tattoos on his body. He could feel the anger and hatred in his body rise. It fueled the force in him. He wanted more of this power.

He unclipped the lightsaber from his belt and held it in reverse grip, a feel he found more comfortable to use as well as menueverable. The hilt, which was a silver hilt with yellow tribal designs cut into it, was something of a relic he happened upon in a delivery. He found it suited him. He ignited the yellow blade and assumed a ready stance. Even though his lightsaber was yellow, it still hissed with a stinging anger most Bogan lightsabers did. "Want to test me to see where I stand?" He asked.

Judicar probed his apprentice, feeling through the emotions that raged through the youth. He could easily remember his own days with feelings similar to that of the boy.

"Your hatred for the Jedi; do not let it consume you. To me it appears unfounded; you have no idea of their real training. The Jedi are arrogant and misguided, but they are not weak. If you wish to become a master of the philosophy of the Bogan you must control your emotions and remain in command of yourself."

Judicar thought back to his own training, remembering the words of his Master. ""Emotions are not the be all and end all, for us or the Jedi. The Jedi encourage repression, robotic rejection. We take a different approach. Emotion is part of life, let it fuel you, let your feelings push you on and make you better. But tread the path carefully, and do not rely on them to access your talents; only allow them to enhance what is already there. You do not want to be fearsome with true anger and hatred if it is a crutch for you, and without it you are impotent."

Judicar drew his lightsaber, holding the cold steel hilt in his hand unlit. He took in the Amaran's unorthodox stance. "You're putting yourself at a disadvantage fighting like that, but I will test you just as hard none the less." Judicar depressed the ignition of his lightsaber, and the icy blue blade snapped to life in his grasp. He kept the same blade he had forged in the Jedi as an ever present reminder of his former time in the Order.

"Defend yourself," he barked, and then charged forward, bringing his lightsaber down to his side as he streaked forward, aided by the Force. He was upon Gared in but a moment, his saber streaking in from the left side towards the boy's stomach at a sharp angle. He took advantage of the speed that his form of choice, Ataru, granted him, and began the practice with an aggressive move that his apprentice would have to be extremely quick and reflexive to totally dodge.

Judicar's blade was set at it's full strength; it was not worth the time, effort, or care for him to bother set it to training. If Gared was not skilled enough he would be of no use to the Bogan in the future, dead or alive.

Kale didn't think of himself as extremely fast or skilled, but for someone of his stature, he did have an edge of speed to him. As the blade was swung at his waist, he moved to a defensive pose he had studied of Djem So, moving his blade up to catch his masters' blade. The yellow saber caught the blue one, hissing as the beams of light touched. The strike was powerful indeed, to the point that Kale had to draw upon the force to back him off.

Kale finally did push him away and jumped backwards. He used the force to power his legs, making him run faster than most of his race and made a strike at his masters' legs. He added a boost of force power to the strike to make it hard and a heavy blow. He was calm and controlled, remembering what his Judicar had just told him about controlling his emotions. They were words of wisdom that Kale would take to heart. He didn't hate the Jedi anymore as he didn't have enough reason, but remembered individuals who broke his trust in the past. He let the emotion from those memories fuel him, adding to his power, but not to where the overtook him.

Judicar felt a small grin cross his face at the boy's changed demeanor. He employed a much more effective mindset that he knew would aid him in the future as long as he remained in control of his faculties.

Judicar allowed only a moment's reprieve to the Amaran before bounding forward, first to the right, and then to the left. He lifted his lightsaber in a high bound attack, a truly challenging blow to block with a reverse gripped style, and brought the saber's humming blade down, hard, towards Gared's left shoulder.

Kale had little time to react in order to save his life, but he did it with a calm speed, non-the-less. He saw the blue blade being brought down towards his left shoulder, which made it bloody difficult to block, but he would block it no matter what. He used the force, once again, to power his movements and increase speed and employed a block so his yellow saber would once again catch the blue blade. It was barely in the nick of time. Even so, he imagined not all of his opponents would be the fast. Kale figured to himself that he would need to train himself to acquire, no, become faster than his master. This would only mean survival for him in the Bogan empire, and Kale would survive.

Judicar's blade was caught on Kale's lightsaber. Sparks flew and wisps of smoke rose from the clashing blades. The young human male put on a show of concentration, pushing his blade downwards with all of the strength of his body and mind.

But it was an act. A smile flashed over Judicar's hardened features as he drew his blade back and brought his leg up in a fierce blow to the side. Judicar connected, and he could feel the strength of the blow shudder up the Amaran's body.

Judicar drew back, his face glowering down on the furry sentient. "Do not rely only on the Force. When you draw it in to yourself so often you leave yourself vulnerable to purely physical strikes. Let your lightsaber and your body become an extension of the Force instead of drawing it individually to your aid every time I come at you."

"The Force is a strength and power bestowed upon you, but it is not there to be a crutch. The Bogan are not only prided on their skills as formidable Force users but on their prowess as warriors and disciplined followers of a common cause, whether our enemies respect that cause or not. Use the Force to give yourself an edge, but you must use yourself to make up that difference that the Force cannot provide you with."

Kale backed away a little at the physical strike his master gave him, but shook it off. He listened and paid attention to what his master had to say, taking in each word and meaning behind it. He needed to learn these lessons and the growth they provided. He may have been a dark Jedi, but he was a Jedi none-the-less. In Kale's opinion, Dark Jedi were more honest with who they were rather than the bastards that cowered in their temples on coruscant.

"If I must rely on my own skills and use the force only when needed, then my opponents should prepare for a fight to remember," Kale said. He didn't mean it in a threatening way, but a way that was informing. Kale had many skills he picked up as a captain of a freighter; skills to defend his crew and himself from pirates who plundered from those who made an honest living. Even if Kale followed the darkside of the force, he couldn't stand for buffoons that took pride in stealing what they didn't earn. Kale knew how to fight and kill without a lightsaber, and would do so if needed.
